During this season a new maid cafe anime (parody, mixed in with action) is releasing and is doing some maid cafe things I wish Tokyo Mew Mew and Tokyo Mew Mew New would have done. Specially the reboot since it’s a modernized version

I have thought about it! It's an idea for "bonus" line I may do sometime down the line.

First off is: Xanaris Mewnew he's a 16 year old science gremlin, who likes to set shit on fire and or make them explode - magical chemistry is fun. And this will probably be the only time that he wears something that makes sense.

We have to asume that's because his twin sister helped.

Huh... what do you think We need to know before shipping OG Mewtwo and M16 Mewtwo?

I really was not prepared for this question xD But I must say that it is something that I have never questioned, in 2013 I thought I was the only person who ship them, before going further into social networks meeting other MewNew shippers that I value with whole soul despite discrepancies.

With that in mind, at that time I didn't question it, because "it wasn't necessary." Now, 7 years later, it is possibly something that should already be on the question table and should not be ignored.

Your question can have many nuances, since many things can be taken into account. So I'm going to separate it into three sections.

a) Canonical material, that is, that produced by OLM and recognized by the anipoke staff and Takeshi Shudo in the case of OG Mewtwo (or failing that, all products made in Japan, therefore the Live Action of Detective Pikachu and Pokémon Live they are not canon).

b) personality

c) fanmade material

a) Canonical material.

Obviously you're not going to ship characters you don't know, that's logical, so the main thing is to meet Mewtwo and Newtwo; Although we are talking about a couple that canonically do not know each other, it does not mean that we should ignore their stories individually.

OG Mewtwo.

To know the history of OG Mewtwo you must first see The Birth of Mewtwo, which is the radio drama that tells more about Mewtwo's past.

Then you must see Mewtwo Strikes Back, which is the movie (for this I can recommend watching the Japanese version that you can currently find on the internet).

And then you must see Mewtwo Returns (also, Japanese version). That ends the OG Mewtwo trilogy or his character arc.

You can also watch Pokémon Journeys episode 46 to find out what became of him after Mewtwo Returns.

You can also read the Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution manga, which is supplementary material, I recommend it more than the remake movie.

M16 Mewtwo aka Newtwo

She doesn't have a lot of canon material, a special and the movie.

Prologue to Awakening is the special that is a prequel to the movie. Personally, I don't like it despite having interesting things, but it's my personal opinion.

Then you must see Genesect and the Legend Awakened that you can see much more of Newtwo. Or read the manga.

If I recommend manga, it is because they are complementary material.

With all this you can meet the characters, it can let you give a personal interpretation about the characters and share some Headcanons yey.

b) personality.

This can be more complicated and can get mixed up with each person's personal interpretation. But in general Mewtwo went through an evolution of characters that can be felt with the passing of his films.

He went from a vengeful being to someone calm who is capable of caring for other pokémon beyond his clone friends.

Newtwo, on the other hand, is more complicated, because she went through the same evolution as Mewtwo but the problem is that we could not see it in its entirety because we did not see her go from point A to point B, but we already met her at point B or close to reaching point B.

At the end of the film she understood that everyone has the right to belong. What goes with the theme of the movie. Her character arc compared to OG Mewtwo is looser (I have some theories about it about the problems her writing had beyond the legal issues with Shudo).

c) fanmade material

In all honesty there is not much shipping material, there is not much fanart and there are not varied fanfics either. People who make material out of them bead them with their fingers.

And it was not a pleasant time, we cannot deny that Newtwo caused violent reactions and there was the fear of being harshly criticized for the simple fact that you liked Newtwo. It was not a pleasant time.

But fortunately Newtwo is having a kind of reassessment, it is no longer hated as before, or at least it can be talked about in a civilized way (twitter does not count, it does not exist).

So you can do shipping things with more peace of mind.

I hope this bible has answered your question, it is my first time answering something of this caliber, I usually like to share headcanons.

opinions: i got this because trollope is, i’m pretty sure, my dad’s all-time favorite author, so i wanted to see what he was like, and this seemed like a good introduction to his general style. then i started reading this because i really, really needed a break from nonfiction. i texted my dad a lot while i was reading this; texts include “THE UNPRELATICAL, IRRELIGIOUS CHINTZ SOFA,” “good lord the english were very afraid of italy,” “dude, come on” accompanied by several pictures of a page-and-a-half stretch where trollope breaks from the narrative to a) spoil the ending of the story and b) argue that he’s absolutely right to do so because, and i quote, “Are not promises all but made of delightful horrors [by not revealing the ending], in lieu of which the writer produces nothing but most commonplace realities in his final chapter? […] And what can be the worth of that solicitude which a peep into the third volume can utterly dissipate?”, “when he spends 2 pages absolutely murdering mr slope and then caps it off with st like ‘you may now have realized that i don’t like mr slope very much’”—i need to add here that there is another line, a bit later, which is “in his charity he did not hate the chaplain [Mr. Slope] as the archdeacon did, and as we do.”—and “EVERYBODY IS BEING SO MEAN TO ELEANOR!!!!! >:’(”. i did actually have to take a break from reading because everybody is very mean to eleanor, because they all assume that she wants to marry mr. slope, who they hate and who is...basically mr. collins from pride and prejudice, more or less, and she doesn’t want to marry him, and trollope does at one point literally say something along the lines of “yes, this could all be addressed by a 10-word conversation between eleanor and her father—but then where would be my story?” the book’s absolutely fucking hilarious, is what i’m saying. the stakes are never, in the grand scheme of things, super high; it’s about a bunch of anglican clergymen catfighting each other over various appointments to office and also over the high church-evangelical split, and eleanor trying not to get nice-guyed. i loved it. when i get home i’m going to read the rest of the series—i skipped the warden, the first in the series, because i figured it was too short to be a good introduction to trollope’s style.

verdict: keep

miscellanea:

i mentioned it earlier but god damn the english were afraid of italy. there are some secondary characters (a clergyman, his wife, and their three adult children) who’ve been living there the past 12 years and when he’s introducing them he’s got a considerable amount to say about Augh, The Sensual Southern Catholics! like, what, are they gonna make pasta at you or…

i’m really grateful there were notes. don’t know anything about 19th century church of england politics. i probably could have got along well enough without them but it was nice to understand what people were referring to when they fought.

trollope has this habit, which according to my dad is a constant and probably brought on by the fact that he spent three hours every morning trying to reach his huge self-imposed page quota and thus needed to keep himself entertained, of giving incidental characters stupid names related to their professions or occasionally just as puns. the sexton is named clodheve, the town doctors are named rerechild and fillgrave, the social-climbing farm family is named lookaloft, the poor clergyman with fourteen children is named quiverful. also there’s a pair of doctors named lambda mewnew and omicron pie (lambda, mu, nu, omicron, pi = LMNOP). groooooan. (in a different book, he apparently names an incidental character the “duke of omnium” (who lives at “gatherum castle”; omnium gatherum = miscellaneous gathering) and then got stuck with that name because he decided to write six books about the family, so it did occasionally come back to bite him at least.)

I never really liked lettuce until I saw how powerful she was and how she was working on her confidence. I think her not being with the ryo is great because this is adding more to her character this is establishing her more. People shouldn't be sad lettuce character is getting development more by this

Speaking of confidence...She now checks herself in the mirror to make sure she looks ok T_T

Ichigo, the gang and Ryou really are the best people she could have asked for ..as a character and a person she developed so much in New.

Even if her romantic feelings didn't get corresponded she has everyone's love to support her, even Ryou supports her growth and development.
