Fortune Friday prizes
The prizes for January 13th’s Fortune Friday event were finally sent out today. We apologize profusely for the delay and hope the recipients enjoy their cards. See below the cut for a list of the tarot cards we sent out as well as their divinatory meanings.

MFPE: Dec 19 2022 Updates
8 inactive fan numbers have been retired. (These never had profiles listed in the member directory.)
There are currently 22 postcards in the queue waiting to be sent out.
Change to Membership Steps
We will no longer be sending out temporary fan numbers and will instead provide the full fan number when an individual signs up for membership. The Participation page has been updated to reflect this.
(Previous steps are below the cut for reference only.)
FOR REFERENCE ONLY -- "Becoming a Member” steps prior to 12/19/22:
Fill out the membership application.
Wait to receive an email from us that will grant you your temporary fan number (a random number assigned to you that allows anonymity), making you a probationary member of the MFPE. You should receive this email within 48 hours.
After you have received your temporary fan number, fill out your interest profile.
After filling out your interest profile, you will be added to the member directory within 7 days and will be able to begin sending and receiving postcards.
In order to confirm that your mailing address is correct, you will receive a letter from us in the mail containing your full fan number. Once you have received it, confirm it with us. We will then update the member directory with your full fan number, making you an official member of the MFPE. (Please note: it may take upwards of a month for you to receive your full fan number in the mail.)

MFPE Account Reinstated
So, terrifyingly, my main Tumblr account was terminated without warning or notice on January 23, 2023. Since Tumblr is my primary platform, this was extremely upsetting, but add to that the fact that the MFPE disappeared along with all of the posts...well, I was beside myself. After trying to send in two support tickets (only one of which resulted in an automated reply stating that it was received), I had almost given up hope and expected to wait months to hear something back.
But last night (over three weeks later), I somehow stumbled upon r/TumblrAcctTerminated on Reddit, and less than 24 hours after that, the issue has been resolved! Hurray!
In the meantime, I have been considering how unsustainable it is to keep the majority of the MFPE’s pages (the member directory, participation page, etc.) on Tumblr, so I am in the process of moving them to Neocities. I am hoping to have this done by the end of February. The plan is to keep posting updates (and eventually postcards) to Tumblr, and to possibly cross-post to Dreamwidth as well.
Also, I have not forgotten about the Fortune Friday cards. Those should also be out by the end of February!

Do you know when you’ll next be sending out full fan numbers? I signed up in early/mid-June and still haven’t gotten my full fan number, and was wondering when I should expect it to arrive
Hello, dear anon!
I am so sorry you have not received your full fan number in the mail yet. Unfortunately, our printer has run out of black ink AND started misfeeding (which is really upsetting, since we bought it in October 2020 specifically for MFPE use).
I was hoping to get the outstanding fan numbers mailed out yesterday with the July 5th postcard batch, but that didn't happen. I will try my hardest to get them printed and in the mail before we leave for vacation on July 17th.
Rest assured that while you are waiting for your full fan number to arrive, you are still able to receive (if you have filled out your interest profile) and send postcards.
Currently there are no member profiles waiting to be added to the directory (although we do have one member profile that needs to be updated). You can always check the status of our action items here, although it will likely not give you a date for when we expect to finish an item.
