thinking about work from home! EraserMic...

like aizawa has enough work on his plate between 1-a and patrols, but yamada doesn't have nearly the stress from students as most of his day is spent teaching less problematic classes, and only having one period with 1-a. And sometimes it's nice to have a side gig to distract you from a more stressful job.

so he sets up his little radio studio in a closet/spare room and does his best to soundproof so he can dj from home. however, nothing's perfect, and any regular listener will know that.

because if yamada makes any (light hearted) jab or joke about aizawa, you can hear him from the other room. favorites of regulars that tune in include:

Present Mic was someone you knew all too well. The two of you had been together for many years; seven to be exact. From your first years at UA to when you were 22 years old,you and Hizashi were the couple to watch. From the times when the press would catch you two off guard when you were simply trying to get coffee to the big hero galas you two would attend together; you were the it couple. 

That wasn’t where your stories began however, no they simply began at UA. The most prestigious hero school in all of Japan definitely was not somewhere you would expect to meet a person you’d want to marry, but at 15 years old you did just that. Seeing Hizashi Yamada with his silly styled hair and awful sunglasses on your first day made you instantly attracted to him; which led to you two talking, and then eventually dating. 

Everything was actually great in your relationship, Yamada had shown you the very…interesting music of American society. You weren’t into rap or pop music much since you could easily get better music here in japan just like that, no, you became obsessed with country music. No one in all of Japan had that delicious twang in their voice the way southerners from the US did. Eventually you found your favorite singer, “Tim Mcgraw?” Yamada had squawked out. 

He had no care for country music, he would only listen to it in his truck, that somehow always ended up getting stuck in the mud or grass if he accidentally went up on the curb, when driving with you. “Yes ‘Zashi,”the nickname rolled off your tongue, it wasn’t intentional, but that type of stuff just happened when you got excited, and Yamada didn’t really seem to mind. “He’s got that amazing voice and it’s so good! You’re bound to like him!” And try as he might, he didn’t enjoy the music, but he would listen to it for you. 

That was how your lives became entangled, and it all seemed perfect before one of his friends you hadn’t gotten to know well passed away. Or that was what he told you, but it seemed like he knew more than that. Perhaps it was just the way he grieved, so you let it be. Yamada only seemed to be getting worse though, distancing himself from you and everyone else besides shouta, and eventually the gap was so big that you couldn’t reach for him anymore, thus ending your relationship with Hizashi Yamada, at least for now. While you never bothered him for the rest of your first year, you still listened to Tim Mcgraw everyday, it gave you some sort of memory of the boy you first loved.

The second time you had begun dating Yamada was the summer before your second year at UA, you two had made up and he became an amazing boyfriend once again. He took you out in that same truck, that still got stuck in the mud due to its driver not getting any better at taking his own transportation, which still made you giggle every time you got in the truck, with Tim Mcgraw playing over the speakers.

 Everything was amazing once more; for about five months before you had caught Yamada texting other girls. It wasn’t anything inappropriate, but it made your trust in him completely disappear. He was telling these girls he loved them, and when you confronted him; he admitted. He wasn’t a saint, and you knew that, but this hurt more than anything. With that, your second time dating Yamada ended much quicker than what you could have expected.

You were still bitter well into your third year, well until he apologized and asked you on yet another date. You knew you shouldn’t have, you had learned your lesson; but at the same time, you needed the old Yamada back. That was what your young mind told you. So you accepted, and when the night came, Yamada picked you up in a brand new truck, his driving skills much better now. He brought you to a lake, “I want to dance with you in the moonlight on the lake.”He’d told you. And he did just that with you; while of course playing Tim Mcgraw through his speakers. This date was what made you whipped for him once more. This led to you two dating, for two years this time, but when Yamada got a job at UA at age 20, he became so stuck in his work that you weren’t getting enough attention. That may have sounded bratty and childish, but not once in the past two years had Yamada ever ignored you and you just didn’t know how to deal with it. So you two broke up on a random day in September, a month full of tears that you were happy Yamada wasn’t there to see. 

The fourth, and last time, you had dated Yamada was when you were 21. You had also gotten an offer at UA to be a teacher, which forced you to be within close proximity of Hazashi. The more you two worked together, the closer you grew, but you were wiser now, less stupid than your teen self. Yet, for some reason, you couldn’t help yourself when you began falling for him once more. It was an embarrassing, silly crush that needed to be put to rest, but of course he just had that draw to him. One where once you were pulled in, you couldn’t get out. So you began dating again; which was inappropriate in this environment, so you kept it a secret. Hookups in his office and rendezvous in the teachers lounge weren’t enough though. You two eventually told principal nezu, which resulted in him giving you both an ultimatum; Break up or one of you leaves.

To be with him, you would’ve left the school faster than the speed of light, but yamada answered first,” We’ll break up. Been meaning to anyways.” and that was the moment you decided; Hazashi Yamada had no place in your heart anymore.

So here you are now, a 22 year old teacher who was invited to the heroes gala out of respect, not because you had to be invited. You watched as your ex lover was being the DJ, when a random woman, some hero from America, requested a song. The way Yamada’s face drop made you instantly know what she asked for, and your thought was correct when ‘Something Like That’ by Tim Mcgraw began playing. You didn’t wish to be here anymore; you hadn’t even had an horderves, yet you were full. On revenge or satisfaction; you weren’t sure, but you were sure of one thing; Hazashi Yamada would think of you everytime he heard Tim Mcgraw.

That's true, these idiots cannot and should not be seperated-

Present Mic gets along with everyone. For the most part. Like, he'll go to Karaoke with Ectoplasm, and they rock out, but. Well. Ectoplasm says lady gaga like 'lady guh-gah' and he insists that's how you say her name. Aizawa agrees with him just because it pisses off Mic, and All Might ACTUALLY says it the same way Ecto does. Help Present Mic, he's DYING, he's gonna KILL HIM.

Present Mic has only felt genuine resentment for Best Jeanist. Because at every single party they go to, Best Jeanist tries to outdo his look and steal his spotlight. Literally in EVERY other interaction, they get along beautifully. But when they want to dress and impress, they act like the most PETTY bitches. Constant shade thrown between them.

Present Mic likes neck accessories. He has a nice collection of scarves, necklaces, Aizawa's hands-

Present Mic finds himself beautiful, and he is, but he DOES find himself jealous of the more beefy heroes. Sure, he can throw a punch, but he's more of a long distance fighter, so he doesn't have the same muscles or scars as his brooding buddy. But hey, at least he can LOOK at the beefy babes all day.

Present Mic has a fondness for loud foods. Crackers, fried foods (especially chicken), and pop rocks. Aizawa hates it when they're on missions together, and suddenly he has to listen to Present Mic's mouth full of popping candy. And yes, Mic annoys him with it on purpose.

Present Mic does more of the domestic stuff around the house. The laundry (Aizawa just throws his shit in the wash without separating anything, drives Mic crazy), cleaning rooms, watering plants, etc. Honestly, the workload seems unfair, but Aizawa cooks and does groceries, so they're pretty happy with it. Oh and Aizawa kills the spiders, Mic sure as hell isn't doing that.

Present Mic reads to Eri, and he calls her 'his littlest listener'. She loves it when HE reads, he does all kinds of voices.

Present Mic has an ASMR channel on the side. It focuses a LOT on whispers and hand rubbing, but he also does cooking, and yes, I'm calling it, he's done spicy shit plenty of times. This man is hot and I need people to pay attention to it-

Present Mic knows multiple languages! I don't know the extent of it exactly, but he, in canon, knows Japanese and English, so more doesn't seem far fetched. Also, his parents are deaf, so chances are he knows how to do ASL too.

He. Absolutely. Loves his kids. And he's VERY open about it! Alongside Midnight, he's the most approachable teacher to come to for things, and WILL cut his lunch time to help students.

Teachers shouldn't have favorites. But he kinda does. Koda, Shoji, Jiro, and Uruaka. Little Uru is CUTE, Jiro and him actually have similar tastes in music, he's trying to get Koda to come out of his lil shell, and he just. Likes that Shoji is quick to catch onto lessons, and is able to help his classmates.

It’s these moments that remind me that Aizawa is not a healthy adult (mentally) and that he holds toxic traits that we're going to be exposed to soon.

I still love him, don't get me wrong. But every character should have their flaws and Aizawa is one that i absolutely love.

Same thing with Yamada, he has his flaws and it endears us to him.

I can't wait till Aizawa and Yamada meet Kurogiri! (This will make more sense in the future for the anime only people.)

The birds sing as the morning sun makes its way into your bedroom. The baby pink curtains not doing much to block it. You get up and yawn and took around. Your pink frilly nightdress rising as you lift your arms.

You grab your bunny stuffie and slide down the big bed. You already had bruises on your legs and arms from being clumsy you didn't need to get another one and scare daddy so early in the morning. You slowly placed your feet on the floor making sure they hit the floor before running off downstairs.

You tiptoe down the stairs and look through the beams from the middle of the stairs and see daddy. His long black hair was tied into a low ponytail and he had a black t-shirt and grey sweatpants. He made a small breakfast with oatmeal, strawberries, and bananas. Lastly, he had a smaller pink cup with strawberry milk.

You know you aren't allowed to run but you couldn't help it. You ran down the 5 steps down the stairs and hugged him from behind. He let out a small chuckle before turning around and picking you up and placing you in his hip. And covers your face in kisses as you giggle.
