Real Leak’s Time
It’s said Midoriya hasn’t woken up once despite everyone else (Todoroki, Bakugo, ect) have.
Bakugo tries to leave his room to check on everyone despite doctor’s orders not to move.
Todoroki is currently unable to speak due to severe burns to his neck. But he knows he has to be the one to end Dabi.
Endeavor is endeador (just kidding, but is seems he’s in critical condition).
Yagi got a nice hairdo going, Eraser is seen to be ok, albiet legless.
Media is going crazy outside of the hospital. It’s assumed all of the heroes are there. There’s a good chance they’re telling Todoroki about Midnight.

Does anyone else ever get sad thinking about the abuse Hawks went through as a kid? Because I keep making myself sad thinking about it.
It's so many different kinds of fucked up that just mixed together and created one huge toxic environment.
#1) The physical abuse.
Right off the bat, Chapter 299 starts with Keigo getting hit by his father for leaving the house. It doesn't actually show Keigo being smacked, instead it shows a panel of their "home". (although it's extremely small and looks more like a broken down shack in a field to me)
But the sound of the "smak" is very much punctuated in the panel, followed by Keigo hunched over with marks on his face:
The marks on his face are prevalent. Even in the smaller panel, Keigo still has a very obvious bruise under his eye and above his eyebrow.
THEN he gets kicked in the side/stomped on for "turning his back" on his father?? (Aka doing nothing. Literally what did he do?? Wtf?):
He's getting smacked and kicked around, but instead of crying or getting upset he just endures. Which brings me to:
#2) The Emotional and verbal abuse. (Strap in cause there's a lot of it.)
Keigo apologizes after his father kicks him for no reason, then he curls up into a ball, clings to his Endeavor plushy, and listens as his own father rants about how much he wishes that Keigo was never born.
^^^^^^^ LOOK AT WHAT YOU DID ASSHOLE. HE'S LITERALLY CLINGING TO HIS PLUSHY FOR COMFORT!! WHY ISN'T ANYONE HUGGING HIM??? CAN I HUG HIM??
Keigo says that he knew his parents were broken, so he endured because he wanted to avoid their fate.
Basically: "I know my parents are broken, but need to endure because I don't want to become broken too."
That's a horrible mindset for a child to have?? He's basically saying that he just needs to take the abuse and hope that he doesn't break because of it?
And I don't know how he wouldn't break from it with the way his parents talk to him, and all the horrible things they say:
The constant screaming/yelling. Like Shit.
"Don't do a damn thing!" " Who did you sell me out too?? You can't fool me!!" "Don't leave this house!" "Don't you dare lie to me!!" "Don't go talking to anyone!!" "You thought you'd get away with it didn't you??"
"How many times have I told you not to turn your back on me??"
"If only that punk was never born I'd be free."
"Why were you even born?" "Why do you even have those wings?"
He's gotten it from both parents. And every time it happens he just hugs his plushy a little tighter.
#3) The neglect.
In pretty much all panels of Keigo's home theres Trash everywhere. If you go back and look at the house there isn't a single panel without some kind of trash in the frame. I see beer bottles, wine bottles, wooden planks, trash bags, newspapers, dirty rags, dirty laundry hanging from the wall & hangers, floor boards coming up, leaks from the top of the walls.
The "house" is barely holding together as it is. It looks like it's about to collapse, and the inside makes you think a tornado ran through it. Nobody is bothering to clean up the mess. In fact the only person who seems to be patching up the house is Keigo. This seems to be a routine for him since he can be seen picking up a wooden plank to fix the wall. Too bad his father kicked him before he could repair the hole 🙃.
Seriously does the "house" even have running water? The windows are broken the walls are made of tin roofing tiles. Does it even have heating or insulation? It's obviously not suitable for a child. I'd be afraid that the roof was gonna fall on me while I was sleeping.
I understand they can't buy a proper home. But it wouldn't be so bad if someone acutely bothered to clean the inside a bit. At least maintain the house so your kid doesn't step on a nail, or glass from a beer bottle. IF A CHILD CAN PATCH UP A WALL SO CAN YOU. WHY IS KEIGO DOING ALL THE WORK?
You people are gonna get rats and bugs. (If you dont have them invading your "house" already)
And that's only the house.
What about Keigo? He doesn't even have shoes. His shirt is torn at the seams. And his parents didn't even notice when he left? Keigo's dad yelled at him for leaving the house and going outside, but was anyone even watching him in the first place? How does your child leave the house and make it halfway to the city before you notice? This little bird looks like he weighs 5 pounds! He's gonna get kidnapped!!
His mom is obviously unstable and she stares at the wall all day. And his dad hates him for existing. So I guess no one was watching him?
His mom also doesn't really seem to care when Keigo gets yelled at, hit, and kicked either. She just kinda stares at the wall. Then when her and Keigo become homeless and start living in a train station she guilt trips him into stealing for her. Like Really??
HE GOT INTO A CAR ACCIDENT TOO! You sent your child out to steal for you and he literally got into a car accident. He managed to save everyone involved but still, are trying to get your son hit by a truck? This is why I have so many mixed feelings about Tomie.
#4) Being held hostage in his own home.
This one is self explanatory. Keigo got hit in the face just for going outside. He was held hostage in his home for so long that he didn't even know heroes existed. And this is a society where heroes are everywhere. I'm sure it was a lonely childhood, kinda hard to make childhood friends when you get beaten just for leaving the house.
#5) Whatever the fuck "rough training" was.
I know we haven't seen Keigos "rough" training yet. Horikoshi only went into a little bit of detail about it when he mentioned that the commission taught Hawks negotiation skills as a kid. And then theres that one image in the Season 4 outro where Keigo has a blindfold on as a child during training.
But I still would like to know more.
Why would you put a child through "rough" training, strip him of his name, and tell him it's all because he's gonna become a "special hero" right after you've pulled him out of an extremely abusive situation. Like, you aren't gonna wait a bit? Preferably until he's a teenager? Not gonna give him therapy or something?
Isn't pulling a child out of an abusive situation and putting them through "rough training" kinda like transfering them from one abusive household to another?
LET THE BOY REST! LET THE KID BE A KID. YOU ONLY HAVE ONE CHILDHOOD AND HE'S ALREADY MISSED OUT ON MOST OF HIS!!
The training can wait.
If you want help him and support his family, do it out of the kindness of your heart and not because you think he'd be a useful hero.
I honestly don't know how this "training" went for Keigo, but considering that he doesn't currently have the best relationship with the HPCS . . . Well I don't know. All I know is that he never really seems too happy around people from the commission. He doesn't seem to agree with any of their ideologies either.
Honestly I just want him to find peace!
Based on what we've seen so far, (*cough* especially from the Todoroki family *cough*) you really shouldn't be training a child to become a hero in the first place. The training can start as a teenager if someone chooses to train.
Look at the way you massacred my boy! Give the kid a break for fucks sake!!
And these are just the early years. Don't get me started on everything else ✋🙄

I know we’re talking a lot about the “who lived and who died” on this chapter, but
It’s just the biggest example of the feeling this arc’s aftermath is gonna have.
Lost of hope. Regret. The emptiness of not knowing if you should be doing what you’re doing with your life. What’s next? What’s left?
“Maybe I should find... A new job.”
Are they going to have a tomorrow?
Those people, despise their flaws, gave their lives for the cause. For the people. And now even that wasn’t enough. They “failed”.
This whole chapter was made to make us feel what they’re feeling. To prepare us for what’s to come. It’s not just about faces and names. It’s about a whole country that’s about to lose the little bit of hope they still had.
After 296 chapters, the first part of Boku no Hero Academia reaches its end. But are we ready for what part 2 has for us?

Leaks Leaks Leaks
So completely not shocking, we’re seeing some of Rei’s perspective on things. This is probably after the attack, baby Shouto being baby Shouto rn.
Then a timeskip! The ball, could be referencing the earlier scenes we saw a millennia ago...
Touya is spiraling, he talks about killing Shouto.
Ahaha, I was right. Sorry, anime, Touya’s hair is white.
He’s literally telling Natsuo while he sleeps about wanting to kill their brother.
Rei mentions she’s losing her son with........results.
“My fire won’t go out” Touya honey...he literally cannot stop his desires.
Judging by the water, the location....Touya planned this all. His death was faked, and he knew it.
Probably the last time this boy ever cried.
I think we’re seeing Touya slip into who will be Dabi. He’s telling his dad he wants to be like him still. He’s springy, excited. Look at his lil feets! And then Endeavor sees that he’s still training, burning himself.
Pain, now with context. Probably bringing up his hair color like his dad did all those years ago.
Follows by Endeavor hitting/punching/attacking both Rei and Shouto. I begin to wonder how long this chapter is...although I’m not upset about the lengthy backstory from Rei and his children’s side.
This is before Shouto burned. Natsuo...Fuyumi...it’s obvious they would hear but...I like the flash to the “she was so fragile she could break” uh yeah buddy. You broke her.
They’re juxtaposing! They’re! Juxtaposing! Touya...crying with fire by his eyes. Wonder if THAT’S significant (bruh...have you seen Dabi’s eyes and the blood crying???).
But they’re talking about how Touya is their fault. They ignored every sign he gave of distress.
I lied, I’m pretty sure he faked his death here. Why?
This family is so fuckin destroyed, dude. Endeavor pushes it on Shouto, Rei...we see why she reacted. She only saw his left side, she saw Endeavor...she saw Touya, what he became. Rei couldn’t bring people over, they were scared of her family. Natsuo KNEW what was happening, and they ignored it. He lost his brother, his best friend.
Apparently, Deku appears? “Not in the way you think” what-
But it’s brought up that he’s a good friend to Shouto. That he was saved from what Touya became.
Endeavor is like straight up sobbing now though. Shoutao is offering to help fix this. Acceptance?
We end with Jeanist and Hawks listening the entire time this has been happening.
So Tumblr will brick soon, my computer is running ass-slow, but lets thank BKIS2327 on twitter for the leaks this week and uh

It doesn’t surprise me in the slightest that Touya doesn’t like the girls in his family. Both of them (according to his warped perception) told him to just stop his goal and move on, not really showing any empathy for his plight outside of being hurt by his quirk.
It also wouldn’t surprise me if Touya resented Rei for inheriting her weakness to heat and also maybe being a very hands off parent with him.
To me, it’s looking a lot like Touya also inherited a fragile state of mind since he has so much ambition to be the ‘hero’ Endeavor wanted him to be but no matter where he turned everyone said he couldn’t.
Part of me is also realling over the parallels between Touya/Dabi and Deku(my two favorite characters). They both were told they couldn’t be heroes with their disadvantages (a quirk that harms the user and being quirkless to having a quirk that harms the user)
And they both trained excessively to work with their quirk (Touya disregarding his self harm in order to make his flames stronger while Deku worked around his self harm to slowly build up tolerance) I think what differenciates between them is SUPPORT.
Deku had All Might, his mom and even friends who supported his goals and helped him with his set back while Touya was just told to stop and find something else to do with his time/life.
Touya has/had a lot of ambition. Even as Dabi he said that those with ambition can change the world, but with the lack of support and refusing to be seen for what he wanted to be by the people who were suppose to support him warped that ambition into something negative.
I personally want to see where exactly stain comes into play in Dabi/Touya’s goals and plans other than being the final piece to initiate his plan.

Hawks gave up his privacy for 4 months and I don't think people talk about that enough.
He spent 4 months undercover in the Liberation Front and had cameras on his wings that entire time. I know he chose to take on this mission (even though he didn't want to) but still, if I were in that situation, knowing that I was being monitored 24/7 would make me so uncomfortable.
Can you imagine walking around for 4 months with cameras on your wings as a constant reminder that you're always being watched/recorded.
Not only do you have to take down an entire army that's trying to destroy Japan and has connections throughout the entire country. You have to do it from the inside-out, all by yourself, within a incredibly short amount of time.
You also have absolutely no privacy. Honestly the creep vibes would be fucking ✨insane✨. You don't have privacy when you sleep, when you wake up in the morning, when you shower, when you go to the bathroom, when you eat, when you go to get coffee, not even when you speak to other people.
Everything you do is monitored, and you just have to go with it.
The reason why Hawks stole the interns win in this scene wasn't just because he needed to relay his coded message to Endeavor. It was also because Hawks knew that he was being watched. And therefore the inters were being watched as well:
He did it to protect them. Because the inters were now being monitored by the camera's on his wings, Hawks decided at the last second to steal their win. He didn't even know if it would manage to pay off, but he did it anyways just in case. It was a split-second decision but it worked!:
Stealing their win was worth it. Hawks knows these inters are strong, but if the Leauge saw them as a real threat then that would potentially put them in more danger. So he went out of his way to make sure they were underestimated.
It wouldn't surprise me if that's the reason why Hawks sent Tokoyami away either. Obviously his "schedule is packed" with that double agent mission. But I'm sure the idea of his student being constantly recorded/watched because of him didn't sit well either. That's fucking creepy. He obviously wanted to train with Tokoyami again, he just couldn't. He had to cut off people in his life just to make sure everything went smoothly and safely:
He obviously felt pretty bad about it. But what's even more frustrating is that, not only is Hawks having to constantly navigate through the whole "I'm being watched" problem. Hawks doesn't even know who he can completely trust on his own side either. There are heros inside the liberation front afterall. His Communications are blocked:
He can't ask for help. He can only Communicate with a very few selected people that he chose to trust at the moment.
I don't know. I just think people forget how much of a disadvantage Hawks was at during all of this. Sometimes I think people forget about the camera's on his wings completely. All the shit Hawks had to put up with makes me feel bad for him, but at the same time it's very impressive. He only managed to get this far because of his intelligence and patience. He had to be flexible, think outside the box, and plan ahead:
He requested to communicate through code, even before learning about the Liberation Front. Probably because he had a feeling that something like this might happen.
I think Hawks is the definition of "Prepare for the worst, and hope for the best."
Hawks definitely knows how to make the best of a shitty situation. He played the game as best he could, even when he was dealt a shitty hand of cards. He sacrificed his privacy and so much more just to make sure Japan survived long enough to see the cherry blossoms. The man hauled ass and pulled his weight when nobody even knew all the shit that was going on behind the scenes.
AND HE'S STILL FUCKING GOING.
He just got out of the hospital AFTER A 6 MONTH (in total) LONG SUICIDE MISSION. AND HE HAD THE AUDACITY TO SAY THAT HE WANTED TO BE "USEFUL". I mean Hawks is obviously smart but-
YOU DUMB BITCH. YOU'VE BEEN NOTHING BUT USEFUL. YOU'VE BEEN EXCLUSIVELY USEFUL.
Can you slow the fuck down for 2 seconds please????? Your literally covered in bandages and you have a breathing mask on. You can hardly even speak without a phone. I understand you want to help but fucking chill.
We get it. You're a BAMF ✋🙄
NOW CAN YOU WAIT UNTIL YOU GET YOUR BANDAGES OFF BEFORE YOU THROW YOURSELF HEAD-FIST INTO DANGER PLEASE-

Do you guys remember this page? Ok so after 296 we have:
1. Heavily injured
2. Heavily injured and possibly quirkless.
3. Injured with a missing lung but nothing major.
4. Injured with a fucked up arm but nothing major.
5. Heavily injured.
7. Heavily injured.
8. Injured but nothing major.
9. Alive. We don’t know if he’s injured or not, but he doesn’t appear on the list of dead heroes.
10. Injured with a fucked up arm but nothing major (apparently).
No matter which side you were expecting to win, even after this draw it feels like both sides lost more than won anything.
I’m not expecting new hero rankings anytime soon, but based off this list we’d have Jeanist -> Edgeshot -> Wash -> Yoroi Musha -> Ryukyu as the new top 5.
(Maybe Miruko as the new number three but it depends on how severe her injuries are)
Edit: OK I MIGHT HAVE WORDED SOMETHING BADLY IM DUMB OK LMFAO
"3. Injured with a missing lung but nothing major."
Missing a lung is a big deal, I KNOW. But my point with this post was to talk about the heroes that wouldn't be able to work as a hero after this arc. Jeanist will still be able to go back to work after this even with a missing lung.
(Also I didn't put Kamui in consideration since we don't know how injured he is– since fire is one of the most inconsistent things in MHA and Dabi's fire is even more inconsistent)
