oh yeah, he definitely lives up to the punkass dirtbag persona you would expect. self deprecation is his sense of humor, but you know -- who’s isn’t, right? he doesn’t drink. he secret is that his family has A LOT of liver failure in it and he was born with a lower than normal functioning one. so, while rumors will say otherwise, he’s never taken a drink in his life. about 7 months ago he broke off an engagement to his ex (obviously not canon but whatever) and he’s trying to find a way to cope, i guess. just think of him as a mix of alex karev and nick miller. he took care of his father before he died of liver failure. or tried to when 5sos were on breaks. and he’s also a grumpy old man MOSTLY because people mistake his sense of humor and he kind of embraces it?? he’s not scared of dying. he knows the risks with his genetic condition. and he knows his limits. he’ll worry about other people before he worries about himself. it’s also a thing to note that HE didn’t break off the engagement. SHE did. he’s a chill guy most of the time but literally freaks out over feelings. one night stands are one thing. ACTUAL feels are another and NO THANKS. ONLY a ray of sunshine when most of the world isn’t watching. AGAIN a cliche.
