“It all started with a mouse,” that’s what they like to say, over and over again, like it’s somehow impressive.  You know what else started with a mouse?  A hell of a lot of hantavirus, that’s what.  You have mice, you generally call an exterminator, that’s all I’m saying.  But it won’t do you a lot of good, because the mice will get in anyway.  Or get out. Can’t keep mice in cages forever.  That’s not what mice were made for.
Still, they tried like hell, didn’t they?  They changed the rules so many times we pretty much had to throw out the whole rulebook and start over with a new one.  Commandment one: Thou shalt let us do whatever we want, because we’re always right, and if you disagree with us, you’re wrong.  That’s how you lock in the result you want.  You cheat.
Oh, they cheated.  Go ahead and say they did everything legally, but if you have two mice and one maze, and say the rules are the same for both of then, then lay a trail of spray cheese between one mouse and the finish line, while the other has to run it the ordinary way, well, that’s cheating whether or not there’s a rule against it.  Ask any first grader.  That’s the real trick: if a first grader knows you cheated, you’re not even being subtle about it.
They didn’t use spray cheese, of course.  They used money.  And they weren’t racing mice, they were racing legal arguments.  Money votes.  Anyone who tries to say otherwise just doesn’t have any money.
But it all started with a mouse, and from there, it evolved—or devolved—into corruption, greed, and the desperate need to keep being the only people who could solve the maze.  They got so busy changing the rules that they forgot the one rule they couldn’t change.  The rule they should have remembered.  The first rule of mice:
Can’t keep them out.  And that means you can’t keep them in, either.
Everything crumbles.  Every mouse gets out.  And every story yearns to be free.  So tell me, now that you know it all started with a mouse, how are you going to write the ending?  I belong to you now, after all, as much as I belong to anyone.
But most of all, I belong to me.

My top 5 brad Pitt movies are(not in order):
Fight club(1999)
Se7en(1995)
12 monkeys(1995)
Snatch(2000)
The Devils own(1997)
(THE BOTTOM CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR SOME OF THE MOVIES)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
All five characters are very relatable to me.
12 monkeys is so underrated(the film). I dont care too much for the show, but the film is amazing. Jeffery is so cute and silly!! I got lost a couple of times, and I was so happy when I figured out Jeffery wasn't the antagonist. I knew he isnt evil
Fight club is just amazing. The plot, the characters, the script, and the twist. The ending was one of the best out of every movie I've watched. I screamed so loud when I found out what was going on, and then I had to rewatch it. I would pay anything to watch Fight Club for the first time again
Se7en wow. That movie made me an emotional wreck. It made me realize how much I love Brad Pitt and that I might be a little obsessed with him.. But se7en was amazing, it wasn't too long it fit everything in perfectly, it wasn't fast and it made me feel so many different emotions. Beautiful movie!
Snatch was amazing. Did I get confused and forget some of the characters? Yes. But did I still absolutely love the movie? Also, yes! This movie was hilarious and Mickey was such a cutie pie, silly movie🫶 I was so happy when they killed Brick top. I HATED HIM😡
The devils own.. Irish brad pitt. That's all I have to say. Kidding! When I first was watching it I saw the shooting and was interested because I hadn't read the description, I didn't know what was going on then when Frankie went and loved with Tom amd found out Tom was a cop I immediately knew what was going on!! The ending made me cry and sob omg.
I WOULD RECOMMEND ALL OF THESE MOVIES TO EVERYONE GO WATCH THEM ALL THEY ARE AMAZING!

Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney perform “Good Morning” in the MGM film Babes in Arms (1939)
Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland proved to be a dynamic duo on screen, appearing together in such films as Love Finds Andy Hardy (1938) and Babes on Broadway (1941). The pair had an amazing connection, perhaps helped by the fact that they had a lot in common off-screen. They both came from theatrical families. Garland, born Frances Ethel Gumm, made her stage debut as a toddler in her older sisters' act; and Rooney, born Joseph Yule, Jr., had a vaudeville performer for a father and a showgirl for a mother.
Both had parents who pushed them into show business. Rooney moved to California with his mother in the mid-1920s to launch his career, and she even changed his name to give it more Hollywood appeal. Garland grew up performing with her sisters before landing a film contract when she was only 13 years old. MGM Studios boss Louis B. Meyer reportedly hired Garland without having her do a screen test. She, too, went through a name transformation to make her more marketable. From an early age, Rooney and Garland both knew all too well the ups and downs of the entertainment business.
Rooney may have only been a year or so older than Garland, but he had much more film experience when they started working together. He made his film debut in the 1926 short, Not to Be Trusted. From there, Rooney starred in a series of shorts based on the comic strip character Mickey McGuire.
Garland and Rooney first met in 1935, when Rooney was a rising star and Garland was just starting out, but it took a few years for the studio realize that Garland and Rooney would be a winning combination.
Garland made her first feature film appearance in the 1936 sports comedy, Pigskin Parade. Garland and Rooney made their joint appearance in the 1937 film Thoroughbreds Don't Cry. Garland later credited Rooney with giving her some of the best acting advice of her career while making this film. He told the talented young performer to perform her lines "like you're singing it."
Rooney had already made four popular films in the Andy Hardy series before he was joined on screen by Garland. Starting with 1937's A Family Affair, the series explored the lives of Judge James K. Hardy and his family. Rooney played his teenaged son Andy, and this friendly character who seemed to represent an all-American image quickly won over audiences.
Garland first appeared in 1938's Love Finds Andy Hardy as Andy's friend Betsy. Early in her career, she was marketed as a girl-next-door type. The two characters' relationship mirrored the actors' off-screen connection as well. Garland, just like Betsy, had a romantic interest in Rooney at the start, but Rooney, similar to Andy, was too busy pursuing other girls to notice her. He was involved with a number of other actresses, including Norma Shearer, who was 20 years his senior.
Garland's career soon started to take off. When Rooney and Garland appeared in 1939's Babes in Arms, the pair shared top billing. The musical, directed by the legendary Busby Berkeley, proved to be a huge hit. Rooney and Garland seemed to play off each other in a way that made their performances better, and moviegoers found them to be a compelling and magical pair to watch.
Babes in Arms is a film version of the 1937 coming-of-age Broadway musical of the same title. Directed by Busby Berkeley, in addition to Rooney and Garland, it featured Charles Winninger, Guy Kibbee, June Preisser, Grace Hayes, and Betty Jaynes. It was Garland and Rooney's second film together as lead characters after their earlier successful pairing in the fourth of the Andy Hardy films. The film concerns a group of youngsters trying to put on a show to prove their vaudevillian parents wrong and make it to Broadway.
It premiered on October 13, 1939, and became one of the 10 biggest hits of the year. With all the adorable gumption of its young stars, Babes in Arms pays thoroughly entertaining tribute to the magic of show business.
The film was nominated for two Academy Awards: Best Actor in a Leading Role for Mickey Rooney, who was 19 at the time and became the second-youngest Best Actor nominee, and Best Music, Scoring by Roger Edens and Georgie Stoll.

For the Ireland prompts, the “learning to dance” one with Fanboy is driving me crazy omg it’d be so cute
OHMYGAWD!!!!! Hell yes honey, like just the thought of Fanboy trying to learn how to Irish stepdance is.....simply irresistible!!!! lol
Tumblr media
It's no secret that Fanboy has two left feet, we already know
So when you guys went to Ireland with the guys to celebrate your wedding, Mickey was a little bit nervous
Because the guys all would get up and dance in the pub when the occasion called for it
Mickey felt kinda left out
But you assured him it would be ok
And that's when you offered to teach him
You and Mickey would have secret little sessions in a place where the guys couldn't find you
Surprisingly enough, he was a really quick learner. Even Mrs. McGuire, the lady whose house you guys were staying in, was impressed
"Aye them two left feet'll be gone a'fore the summer comes"
Later that night at the pub the band began to play
And Mickey wanted to show off what he had learned
But little did you know that him and the guys would recreate the 3rd Class Dance from Titanic
And when he pulled you in, you realized you had found the Jack to your Rose
You danced the night away in the pub
And every time you danced with Fanboy
You really did feel like you were flying

This week, September 13, marked the 25th anniversary of Disney’s One Saturday Morning premiere on ABC.
The cartoon block was produced by Disney and featured shows like 101 Dalmatians: The Series, Mickey Mouse Works, The Weekenders, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, and Sabrina: The Animated Series (a spin-off of ABC’s Sabrina the Teenage Witch sitcom that aired during the network’s prime time TGIF block).
The most popular shows to air in its 5 year run were Recess, Doug, and Pepper Ann.
Tumblr media
Eventually Disney Channel original shows made their way to the programming schedule.
Lizzie McGuire, Even Stevens, Kim Possible, and The Proud Family were introduced to viewers who, at the time, might not have had cable access. Those who did now had the chance to see reruns of the shows outside of their usual time slots.
Disney’s One Saturday Morning ended in 2002 and was replaced with ABC Kids.

Welcome to All About Disney Channel
Disney Channel is an American based satellite and basic cable network owned by Walt Disney Television. Dating back to the 1950s, the first Disney television broadcast came to life to help promote Walt Disney’s Alice in Wonderland (1951). Walt’s vision grew very quickly by partnering up with the widely recognized ABC Television Network. Once Disney signed the agreement, he developed two series for the new network: Disneyland and Mickey Mouse Club.
Tumblr media
After Disneyland became popular, the company decided to launch The Disney Channel on April 18, 1983, “the Disney name became a staple in people’s homes.” The first ever program to air on the channel was Good Morning Mickey! Disney Channel aired for sixteen hours each day from 7 am to 11pm, and by December 1983, they had over 661,000 annual subscribers. In 1986, Mickey Mouse Club became an immediate hit. Mickey Mouse Club helped launch Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, and Ryan Gosling. By 1997, they decided to drop “The” in the network and rename it Disney Channel. In the year 2002, the network had been watched by over 80 million homes including the new original shows/movies of Lizzie McGuire, The Cheetah Girls, and many more popular shows/movies. The Cheetah Girls was Disney’s first movie musical made primarily for television. The mid- 2000s was Disney Channel’s peak by having their most popular movies and shows premiere including That’s So Raven, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, High School Musical, Camp Rock, Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, and many more hits. The highest- rated Disney Channel Original Movie to this day is still High School Musical 2 (2007) with 17.2 million for its premiere. With the highest rated DCOM movies it is no wonder why people still have the love for Disney Channel. Now in 2023, Disney Channel is still one of the most popular streaming platforms over the world.
