Sano Manjiro

Summary: this is right after Draken was stabbed. You are at the hospital with Mickey.

You were at your house when you got a phone call from Emma.

“Hey, whats going on?”

She was sobbing uncontrollably.

Your heart had stopped, you immediately thought that something had happened to Mikey.

“Emma what’s going on? What happened?”

“Draken-kun was stabbed, we are at the hospital”

You hated to admit it but hearing that wasn’t Mikey made you feel a little relief.

But anyways you were worried for the other boy so you grabbed your stuff as fast as you could and went to the hospital.

Everyone was already in the waiting room area: Mitsuya, Peyan, Takemichi, Hina, Emma and Mikey.

You went first to the last.

He was sitting in a couch. He looked very composed as if one of his best friends wasn’t in a serious danger, but you new it was a facade for the others.

“‘’m okay, please help Hina with Emma” he said as soon as you laid your hand on his shoulder.

You wanted to stay there with him, but when he looked at your eyes, you knew. He was so fucking worried and he couldn’t consoled his little sister in that state, so that’s why he was asking you.

You kissed his temple before leaving him.

“Emma everything will be alright, Draken is a strong man” Hina and you were trying to help her, but his crying only stopped when the red light of the board went off.

“The surgery was a success”.

Everyone was celebrating, but your eyes were set on Mickey so you noticed when he slipped away.

You were caught in a hug by Emma so you couldn’t immediately followed him.

You were just hopping that go he to sympathize within the hospital.

“Emma-chan, it’s okay” said Hina taking her. She noticed that you were now worried for the other sibling.

“Thank” you said as you went out looking for him.

You tan through the hallways trying to find him, but he was nowhere to be seen. He wasn’t on the inside of the building, so you went to try your luck outside.

Please let him be here.

When you turned in a corner you saw him sitting against a wall, crying on his knees.

“Kenchin, don’t worry me like that again”.

You draw near to him and you sat on your knees facing him. There wasn’t a need for words. As he noticed it was you he clung to your shirt and cried himself on you.

Mickey was not a big fan of being vulnerable, he hated it. Instead he always decided to carry all the burdens of the world in his shoulders with no help. That’s how he learned to manage his life after his brother’s dead and that’s what he had been doing so far… Until he met you.

“I hate how they used Pe to hurt him and I hate that I didn’t notice this before and that I wasn’t with him. I could have done better”

“They are all okay now, both of them. There was no way for you to know that all this was going to happen, you did your best”

He was really thankful for having you next to him. Since the moment he knew you, you let him know that he can count on you for everything. With you he learned that he can relay on people and that he can be vulnerable sometimes and that just fine.

He really wouldn’t know what to do without you, Emma and Draken. You all were his anchors, while you were around there was no space for his dark impulses.

He was safe with you.

When I want to feel soft and happy, I like to imagine Dad!Souya. I see him with twins, a boy and a girl at the silly age of 3. On rainy days he, the twins, and his partner watch a ridiculous amount of Bluey while lounging in blanket forts. They enjoy going on bookstore dates where they go to either the bookstore or the library and pick out one book each. They go home, cuddle up on the couch together, and read their books while sipping on hot chocolate, with marshmallows, of course. Souya is the kind of dad who will dig around in his pockets and the bottom of his bag until he finds change for his kiddos to plop into their piggy banks and squeal with delight when they hear the “clink” of the coins falling on top of the other coins. He dies a little inside when they beg for noodles, because even though his job is to make fancy noodles, they just want plain noodles with nothing but butter. I imagine that fatherhood might not come easily or naturally right away for Souya, but his kiddos would love him and all of the work and effort he puts into this most important role.
