Ford Berliner Concept, 1968. An electric city car prototype created by designers at Ford of Europe and first presented at  Ford of Europe in Cologne before appearing at the 1969 Geneva Motor Show. Although it was only 2.13 metres long it could seat 2 adults and 2 children, the batteries were stored under the seats.

Last time I saw a car like this was in a Richard Scarry book, and the worm driving it was having a busy day. Made for a 2005 Birds Eye Peas advert, this pea-shaped go-kart with Volkswagen lights was built to fall apart as it was driving (!)

the be-1 is amazing and i love it but my heart does lie with the pao. be-1 is a close second though and i honestly like the styling of it more. i just have a soft spot for the pao, i think it’s the first pike car i ever heard about and it’s just. a little guy

for the unaware the pike cars were a series of four microcars made by nissan in the late 80s through the late 90s. they’re all unreasonably cute

(TL is the Figaro, TR is the Pao, BL is the BE-1, BR is the S-Cargo)
