Kinktober 2
Tumblr media
♡: Miguel O'Hara x f!reader
Genre: Smut / little bit of angst
Warning: Mention of suggestive content, masturbation, sex toys, dom!Miguel, spanglish, soft sex, size kink
Word count: 1.2k
A/n: I love Oscar Issac characters 🤭
Summary: Your boyfriend was out being Spider-Man and at the Spider-HQ. While you sat home needing pleasure.
Tumblr media
Miguel O'Hara
Your boyfriend, the one you've been dating for 3 years and been living with, is Spider-Man. Who would've known.
You, of course he told you. You were the sun to his days, and the stars to his night.
You sort of understood why he was busy now. The days he disappeared and came back.
Now he's busy, sometimes he'd be too busy to spend time with you. All because "the faith of the multiverse lies in his hand"
He would say it all the time. Sometimes you would wish the multiverse would just pause.
You just finished your period, so you started ovulating. It was midnight.
Needing to feel friction between your legs. But your boyfriend wasn't there. So you had to resort to other options.
Toys.
You got toys for yourself, well your friends did for a "prank" during Christmas. Not just one but a whole box.
Miguel didn't know about this.
You just had them stored in your personal drawer.
Now it just sat in the apartment you and Miguel shared.
So why not use it for a bit? It's not like Miguel would know. If he found out it would hurt his pride and ego.
But he wasn't going to find out, fuck he barely comes homes for that matter.
So you grab the pink toy out of your drawer. It came with a remote control. Sliding down your underwear.
You prep yourself with your two unsatisfied fingers, and insert the pink toy.
You let out a small moan. It wasn't as big as your boyfriend, but it will make do.
You turned on the remote and turned it on the lowest setting working your way up. Small pants would leave you but that was it.
That when you heard the door. You scramble the sheets over you. You didn't have enough time to turn it off, as the remote fell on the floor.
It must have upped the speed, because you felt a speedier vibration in your cunt. Cause you to choke up a few moans.
The hunk of man walked into your shared bedroom.
"Miguel?" You rasp, you were surprised he came home, he would have texted you ahead or something.
He still had his hologram suit on.
"(Y/n)? You're still awake?" He asked, closing the door behind him. "I– was busy." You replied with a huff.
You glimpse at the toy's remote on the floor. You didn't want to make eye contact with it, since Miguel would find it.
But it seems to be too late.
Because he picked it up, examining it. "And what is this?" He glared at you. "Wait don't—" You let out a moan as he turned up the speed.
When realized what it was, he lifted up the blankets. He let out a low chuckle.
"Busy, you say?" He smirks, dipping into bed. Your face flustered a rose color. "You haven't come yet, have you?" He spoke in a flirtatious tone.
You shook your head. "I... want to. You haven't been home for a while." You looked away feeling a little disappointed.
Miguel's face softened. As he pulled the toy from your soaked cunt. You could tell he was sort of pissed from the toy touching you.
You laid on your back as he lifted your leg up.
"I've been neglecting you haven't I, mi vida?" He kissed up to your thigh. You nodded. "I'll make up for it, okay? I'll make you feel good." He mutters against your skin.
He made his lips to your lower lips, he placed the toy up to your clit. He started to use his tongue to pleasure you, eating you out and pushing his tongue in and out.
It ripped a few moans from you, edging you to your first orgasm. He let you ride it out for a bit. You held onto his brown locks, riding his nose.
Before sticking his large two fingers into you, pumping them. You jolted slightly to the feeling. More moans and whimpering started to slip out of you.
Before you knew it, he inserted a third finger. Which got you to climax on his finger. Your slick on his fingers he pulled out seeing the clear liquid.
He let out a low chuckle as Miguel's suit hologram faded. Showing nothing but his fat cock. It was rock hard. It was on top of your stomach.
You could feel your core dripping with aroused. You wanted to feel him so bad. "Tell me when it's too much, m'kay?" He kissed your neck.
As he slid in the head of his cock into you, letting out a choked moan. It was only the head and you felt as if he was stretching you out.
"Such a pretty small cunt, 'ust for me." He started sliding his cock in more. Your back arched, feeling him stretch you out even more.
You could see the stomach bulge he gave you. You mewl and whine, on his cock.
"You're squeezing me, Mami." He grinned at the size difference between you two. He was such a big man as for you, you were such a small lady.
Miguel gripped the fat of your thigh. He bullied his cock all the way to your cervix, kissing it deeply. You let out hoarse moans.
He started thrusting at a satisfying pace. Every thrust was another moan out of you. You could feel your third orgasm build up.
Miguel deepens his thrust everytime, almost always hitting your g-spot. You gripped his arm tightly.
Digging moon crescent on his arm. One final thrust and you spill on his cock. His still hard cock soaks with your come. You squeeze him tight underneath, hearing a grunt from Miguel.
"3rd one, already? Impressive, Mami" he praised you, by whispering sweet little nothings into your ear. He started kissing and nibbling on your neck.
You whimper as you feel your legs trembling. "Can you do one 'ore? 'ust for me?" He mutters against your neck.
"Mmphm" You agreed. He smiled, tucking a loose strang of hair behind your ear. He kissed your temple, starting to move around inside your stomach.
He started moving again, a quicker place than earlier, but still pleasurable. You felt like you were seeing stars, your eyes rolled back.
You were squeezing him so desperately, wanting him to stay inside you. He pulled out to come on your stomach.
A thick salty smell dripped from his cock, all over your stomach, little grunts you could hear by him.
Miguel got off of you, grabbing a damp towel to clean you, he threw the towel on the floor and held you close to him.
You were lying on his chest.
Half asleep.
He was going to stay here with you, until you didn't need him anymore.
"Why did you come home? You usually never do that." You hum.
"I had spidey-sense you were in need of help." He puffed.
Not knowing Lyla was really the reason why he showed up. She told him you were in need.

A few small trials
Tuesday dawned wet and cold. Unfortunately our plan had been to buy something for the grave of Mums family today so we were out in the wet and cold for a bit. We bought a flowering pot plant which fitted into the flower holder and it looked really nice. Mum was really pleased so it was a productive morning.
We went back to Wetherspoons for a reviving coffee before heading over to David’s for the afternoon. We have noticed him cheering up every day. I feel bad that our time here is almost over.
Another quiet night in our AirBnb, enjoying the last of my English television.
Wednesday dawned much nicer. Mum and I were up early getting ourselves organised. Our first stop was the cemetery where Barbara’s funeral was and where her ashes will eventually be scattered. None of us knew that they wait a month before they scatter the ashes in case the family change their mind (it’s obviously happened before). It was still nice to see where she will be and the chapel where the funeral was held.
Next we picked up David and went to Wetherspoons for breakfast. I hate to admit we’ve been into Wetherspoons at least once each day we’ve been here 🙄 Anyway we had a nice breakfast and then it was time to drop him home and head back to the airport. It was rather heartbreaking saying goodbye.
We then had a rather fraught time getting out of Ashton. It was quite busy and Google Maps kept telling me to turn across traffic. Eventually we were out, petrol tank filled and on our way to the airport.
Getting through security and even onto the plane was a complete dog’s breakfast, not an experience I’m in a hurry to repeat. The icing on the cake was the delay in our plane taking off because “they didn’t have the machine that was needed to start the plane” 😳 I wasn’t the only one to snicker at that.
Finally we were back in Barcelona with a lot less time before the bus than I had bargained on. Having purchased the tickets and believing I had sussed out which bay our bus was leaving from (I was worried about being in the wrong spot and missing the bus), we had time for a quick glass of wine before departure.
As we headed to the bus I though I’d look for our seat numbers only to discover that the “plaza” was our seat number not the bay 😩 I kept my head and we headed towards the ticket machine where I’d purchased our tickets (God forbid you could find anyone to ask). With great relief I saw a board with the buses all listed. It still didn’t show a bay number but I was feeling confident we were in the right place.
That was until the time came and went and our bus disappeared off the board. Now the meltdown got a bit more real, my worst fear had been realised. I then noticed another couple looking somewhat perplexed do in my Spanglish and their French I worked out they too were waiting for the L’Escala bus. We decided it had just been delayed, but by the time 20 minutes had passed we were all looking at the timetable for the next bus, which wasn’t until 12:00 the next day. It was then I spotted a bus turning in with the words Costa Brava on the side. I have never been so happy to see a bus 😅
Thankfully the trip home after that was uneventful and we collapsed into bed around midnight.
Meanwhile the time in Galicia is passing with lunches out and trips to Sarria, etc. They return tomorrow and I hope for them it is uneventful.

Honestly sometimes I love just sitting down with my abuela and talking. Just swapping stories from everything about how my abuelo came to the states, and family drama (swapping chisme with your grandmother is actually a profound bonding experience), and my mom and dad when they were growing up, etc… is so nice. I feel like it lets me relive a bit of the same things my parents have told me. And it’s like I carry a vested interest in understanding my family and how hardworking and compassionate and beautiful they are as people.
And like, we don’t always agree on the same things. She’s a very Catholic old brown lady, so like, she’s not my gung-ho anarchist ally bestie, but she’s genuinely a very thoughtful woman.
Sometimes we even just swap little jokes, like how my abuelo was very strict on my dad when he was younger about just speaking either Spanish or English, and how sometimes just to rile my dad up I’ll purposely use Spanglish words and end up getting lectured and stuff. Like little things that we both understand and find entertaining, ya know.
Anyways I always get emotional abt relatively small things when it’s past midnight so imma shut up now but yeah

ditch the idea that spanish speaking characters say spanish words every 5 words pleathe. ditch it. kill it. as a spanish-as-mother-tongue speaker, even when i struggle finding a word for what i want in english, i don’t just up and say it in spanish. especially if the other person doesn’t speak spanish like.... what’s the point.

New on Netflix: July 2021 Releases
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
By the power of Grayskull, Netflix’s list of new releases for July 2021 is here!
As you may have been able to tell by that clever opening, July is the month that Masters of the Universe: Revelation arrives on Netflix. This animated series from Kevin Smith continues the classic stories of He-Man and his buff friends. If nostalgia not be what ye seek, Netflix has plenty other original series this month as well. The amazingly hilarious sketch series I Think You Should Leave With Tim Robinson returns for season 2 on July 6. Also returning for a second season are Beastars, Never Have I Ever (both on July 15), and Outer Banks (July 30).
Netflix’s movie offerings are pretty thick this month since July marks the real beginning of the summer blockbuster season. The streamer is bringing not one, but three Fear Street films based on R.L. Stine’s classic book series. They arrive on July 1, July 9, and July 16 respectively. Also of note are Gundpowder Milkshake (July 14), Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans (July 21), and The Last Letter From Your Lover (July 23).
And if that weren’t enough, July sees a big influx of TV properties on Netflix. The Walking Dead season 10 (July 26), Wynonna Earp season 4 (July 26), and The Flash season 7 (July 28) all arrive at month’s end. These library titles will be complemented by The Twilight Saga (July 16) and the usual bevy of July 1 releases.

—— isn’t that rabia greengrass? yeah that is them, sitting there at the hufflepuff table with those other sixth years. when sybill looks into that crystal ball of hers, she sees glass slippers, abandoned at midnight; proving a point if it’s the last thing you do; being able to accept help, even when you can’t ask for it; the scent of candles and bubblebath; a window dying to be used as a door; an adaptable spirit hard at work; and the foolhardiness of falling head over heels over and over again, even though it only ever ends in heartbreak;  which seems about right for that nineteen year old. anyway i’ve heard they’re pretty wary, an escapist, and smarter than she looks (or pretends). apparently they’re neutral (for now) and pureblood but i’m sure that’s not related… —— playlist || pinterest

BIO
rabia used to be the pretty, spoiled, third and (incredibly) overlooked daughter.
not the baby, not even the direct center, rabia felt invisible most of her life
and that was not exactly helped by the fact she and her siblings were raised by nannies
and she ... oh my god, that girl is hard to keep track of
she wanders off CONSTANTLY - always has, ever since she learned to walk
she likes to be by herself, though she doesn’t mind company; she just prefers to be out wherever the problems and the people arent (exceptions withstanding, of course)
she’s reckless when it comes to giving away her heart. convinced no one and everyone wants and should have it
but no heart ever breaks the same way twice, so she still wouldn’y call herself an expert on the matter although she’s made excellent strides in the commitment arena
it wasn’t her fault he left, it was his. okay, she kicked him out and that screwed her over, but he screwed her over first, and then he had to go and ... stop existing involuntarily
but that was last year, let’s back up
rabia was not under some misguided impression that her parents cared for her - she knew they didn’t. the role of she and her sisters and her brother was to make them look good. no more, no less
they didn’t care what she did, where she did it, who she did it with, or even to
and rabia really enjoyed testing the limits of this, even if she couldn’t admit how disappointing it was to realize, truly, that no one gave a single shit what you did, or even if you were alright.
and at beauxbatons, at the end of her 5th year, she couldn’t wait for the freedom graduation was going t bring her.
the freedom to move on – with her life, with everything.
but freedom came calling sooner than anyone expected
she was only fifteen when he asked her to run away with him, he was 17 already, he’d just graduated - was anyone going to miss her right away?
no, she’d said
and she’d been right - four four years, no one came for her
but rabia and her love, the boy worth leaving her family for, were over before the first year was out, but at the time their circle was still small, and the end was messy.
of course, in the time it took to kick him out of the flat, they’d lost the flat, so they went their separate ways, and rabia started continent hopping
she WAS starting to run low on funding, though, and from there on out the next three years was a life altering, swim or drown, course on grinding, coasting, and keeping yourself off the radar, while enjoying the freedom of having no ties
last year, they ran into each other, in mexico, no less
and it was almost okay
until it wasn’t
but a jail cell, in tijuana, was not high on rabia’s list of places to see
it was his fault, and she just happened to be there, but he’d been in mexico longer than he’d said he’d been, and she’s still not sure she wants the full story of what happened that night
not the parts she witnessed, or the parts she missed
so she did what she did best – she went to the beach
then she went to spain, because spain is better than mexico
then she started feeling homesick
but she hadn’t been back in france a week before they’d found her;
a day, honestly, because she went to london to visit a friend, and by that very same afternoon she was sitting on her sister’s sofa
it’s been ..... weird.
rabia never was much for rules, especially not as invisible as she was before, and she’d been on her own for quite some time, so she’s still frequently in trouble
but it’s nice to have someone who ccares enough to be mad at her for not coming home on time
and it’s nice to be with emira again, too, even if she does have to go back to school
she still regularly sneaks out and has not learned the definition of grounded yet
but she and louis – who she found near versailles, by the way, and claims is descended from royalty – have been just fine on their own, so they are looking forward to trying out “normal” again
whatever that means
for a greengrass

Jorja Smith has unveiled a standout new video for latest track ‘By Any Means’. The powerful video (directed by Otis Dominique and Ellington Hammond) shines a spotlight on communities across the UK, complimenting the track’s vital message around social issues and the civil rights movement. As noted by Jorja about the track: "The inspiration behind 'By Any Means' really came from going to the Black Lives Matter protest and leaving thinking, what can I do to keep this conversation going? It’s not just a post on social media, it's life.” ‘By Any Means’ is the first track to be unveiled from a new project titled ‘Reprise’, curated by the team at Roc Nation with the sole aim of bringing awareness to social justice issues. A portion of proceeds will go to funding organisations that support victims of police brutality, hate crimes, and other violations of civil rights. [via Dork]

Madison, WI-bred and Chicago-based band Slow Pulp recently announced Moveys, their self-produced debut album, and shared its first single 'Idaho.' Now the band shares another song off of the forthcoming record, entitled 'Falling Apart.' The track, featuring Alex G collaborator Molly Gemer on violin, is accompanied by a fantastical music video about feeling lost in a familiar landscape. Director Jake Lazovick, places Emily in a transient world, surrounded by flying objects and missing pieces. The clip features nostalgic animations, body doubles for social distancing purposes, and an homage to Massey's background as a ballet dancer. Read more about the song from Massey below: "As we were finishing up writing the album my parents got into a serious car accident and I came back home to help take care of them. A couple of weeks later COVID-19 started getting worse in the US, and quarantine began. Life felt completely surreal, everything had drastically changed and at such a rapid pace. It was especially strange because everyone was experiencing the same thing at the same time, but couldn’t be physically with each other to support each other. I felt like I couldn’t process any emotions I had about the whole ordeal because I had to keep it together to take care of my family. It became easier to stay numb, and create a facade that I was doing ok, than it was to release any type of healthy emotion for a long time. Luckily I did allow myself to have a full on breakdown induced by a stubbed toe and confusion over taxes, sometimes it’s the littlest things that finally get you."

Soap Detox met a party, and somehow their friendship sustained during the lengthy hangover that followed. A frisky Swedish three-piece with a lust for melody and good times, their raucous garage-pop is already making waves in their homeland. A full EP is incoming, with Soap Detox trailing this with their irresistible new single 'Give Me Gore'. A three minute fuzz pop wonder, it's a clanking, cheeky, subversive statement from a group who thrive on such things. The video features their shorn-headed lead singer in full form, accompanied by her band mates. Directed by Evelyn Del Carmen and Ebba Sylvan, you can check it out above. [via Clash]

It’s been a decade since we’ve heard from multi-hyphenate musician and producer The Angel, who last made a splash as a musician in 2009 with her single 'Ultra Light,' which featured the singer/producer Jhelisa on vocals. Focusing more on her career in film/TV composition and music production in recent years, she’s planning to return to recording her own music later this year with a new LP entitled Xtra Sensory Goodness. Now we’re getting the first taste of this project, which is yet another collaboration with the vocalist Jhelisa. “Jhelisa and I have become close friends over the years,” she explains. “There’s a lot of sisterly love and mutual respect between us, so Jhelisa already understood the mournful weight of the track before I asked to feature her. I’m always grateful that she’s willing to experiment with me because it’s not something she does lightly. Jhelisa beautifully channels the essence of whatever emotion needs to come through in the most evocative and visceral way.”  The song arrives beautifully packaged with an entrancing video directed by none other than Mark Pellington (along with co-directors Sergio Pinheiro and Sweeten), known for his concert docs for Pearl Jam, INXS, and The Flaming Lips, as well as an extensive music-videography including iconic visuals for Public Enemy, Nine Inch Nails, and plenty more artists. “I wanted the song to sound like a memory, like you’ve entered someone else’s dream space,” The Angel continues, noting how the video perfectly syncs to the song’s mood. “The emotion is contained, very internal, so I juxtaposed a vocal vulnerability against a driving, incessant rhythm, where you can feel the underlying tension at the same time as experiencing the gentle plea, ‘Where’s my shelter…?’” [via Flood]

A few weeks ago, Ciara gave birth to her son Win. Last night, she shared a video that she evidently recorded while she was very, very pregnant. Ciara’s new song 'Rooted' is a statement of Black pride, a clear statement of solidarity with the protest movement that’s swept across America and the rest of the world these past few months. It’s a hard, kinetic track with vocals from the songwriter Esther Dean. But the song, at least right now, feels more like a vehicle for the video. Like a lot of Ciara videos, the 'Rooted'” clip is built around bodies dancing. In this one, though, one of those bodies belongs to Ciara, who dances with her belly exposed and who looks like she’s about to give birth any second. To watch someone dance this hard while that pregnant is an actual marvel, a near-superhuman feat. The 'Rooted' video is full of Black iconography, and it features the faces of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. All throughout, Ciara presents an image of motherly strength. Annie Bercy directs. Hazel English releases the new video for her single ‘Five And Dime’ taken from her debut album Wake UP! which is out now on Marathon Artists. ‘Five and Dime’ is a woozy, idyllic view into Hazel’s world, which is built on timeless-sounding melodies, retro-tinged soundscapes and a knack for resonant lyrics. The mid-tempo number is reminiscent of the playful love songs of ’60s pop, as Hazel frustratedly muses on a love interest who is consuming her thoughts and detracting from her focus, “Gotta get away cause you’re taking up all of my time / You know I need my space so I’m heading to the Five and Dime.” Speaking about the new video, Hazel says: “'Five and Dime' is about longing for escape and freedom so I thought it would be fun to create an idyllic beach vacation, constructed from a set with cardboard cut out waves and fake palm trees. The idea behind it is that while I'm fantasizing about escaping to a tropical place, it's clear I'm just kind of stuck in this pretend version of it. I wanted to evoke the nostalgia of Hollywood musicals from the '50s and '60s, complete with dance choreography and bright colourful costumes.”

Katy Perry has released her second video for 'Smile,' featuring the pop star playing a video game version of herself as she battles giant spiders, circus trapeze acts and more while dressed as a clown. Much of the video is in CGI, with a live-action Perry playing the video game in her house (while also dressed as a clown). [via Rolling Stone]

Global superstar, Miley Cyrus has unveiled 'Midnight Sky,' a track that showcases a new direction for the always evolving artist.  The song, which was inspired by the past year of her life, is accompanied by a video that Miley self-directed.  In creating the song and video, Miley drew from strong female musical icons, like Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett, and Debbie Harry, who have always been so generous, and have been her greatest allies and inspiration.  The video showcases Miley as her true self: unapologetic, diverse, sexy, confident, experimental, and strong. The video takes viewers through Miley’s creative vision which displays her complete control of the narrative often told through the mouths of the media. Miley is at peace with who she is and has nothing to prove. As a musician she continues to push boundaries and experiment with her sound and look. Miley has proven to be many things, but boring is not one of them.

Chelsea Collins is nonconformist pop singer with a vision. For the captivating new 'Water Run Dry,' a collaboration with rapper, singer and fellow Bay Area-native 24kGoldn, Collins's infectious pop melodies glide over a hypnotic beat. Relatable lyrics about a faltering relationship reveal a depth of experience for the 21-year-old, with a wistful chorus lamenting, "there's no good in goodbye." The Roxana Baldovin-directed visuals for the track are an eyeful — Collins and 24kGoldn play house in an oversized, colorful California dollhouse, interspersed with images of a little girl playing with literal Barbies. The message? "I wanted this song and video to execute the world that's inside of my head — somewhat similar to a weird vintage rom com where at first the drama of love is so toxic, passionate and thrilling but eventually my lover and I have a happy ending," Collins tells NYLON. "Unfortunately reality isn't as fun and it kinda feels like some cranky dude is controlling your path, who's lowkey salty whenever something feels too amazing," she continues. "My intuition will tell me to run, but I'm notorious for acting like a Stepford wife, trying to recreate my past feelings yet they're all super robotic. Maybe one day I'll get lucky and love won't have to be so bittersweet, but until then I'll learn to smile even when things blow up in my face." [via NYLON]

Kali Uchis shared the visuals for her latest single 'Aquí Yo Mando' on Monday. Featuring a verse in Spanglish by Rico Nasty, the single is Kali's first release since her TO FEEL ALIVE EP from earlier this year. The Phillipa Price-directed clip finds the pair on a weapons-filled rampage, dropping bodies in underground parking lots and filming each other along the way. With co-production by reggaeton hitmaker Tainy, the booming track sees Uchis assertively laying some ground rules over trappy 808s. "Haces todo lo que diga (You do everything that I say)," she raps. “Si estás conmigo solo mando yo (If you’re with me, only I call the shots).” [via The FADER]

This week marks CelebMix’s fifth birthday so we’ve decided to celebrate by dedicating articles to some of our favourite celebrities. This one is all about Liam Payne and his music videos!
Whether it’s dancing in the streets of London or channeling Prince Charming in a Long Island castle, during his solo career Liam has released so many incredible music videos. Join us as we take a look back at five of our favourite music videos from Liam so far!
‘Get Low’
Remember when Liam and Zedd took to the streets of London for their ‘Get Low’ music video? Filmed around numerous landmarks including Covent Garden and Oxford Street, we love this fun video because it shows off Liam’s personality perfectly. It’s also great to see the pair getting so involved with the fans and passers by, plus we still love cracking out the dancers’ routine to the chorus every now and then.
‘Familiar’
Liam teamed up with J Balvin for the sizzling Spanglish single ‘Familiar’, which was also given the music video treatment. Directed by Mark Klasferf, the concept for the ‘Familiar’ visual is straightforward enough, with Liam and J Balvin dancing with women in a nightclub and a parking lot. Despite its simplicity, there’s no doubt that Liam looks amazing in the video and the concept really matches the song’s vibe.
‘For You’
Directed by Hannah Lux Davis, Liam’s Fifty Shades Freed collaboration ‘For You’ with Rita Ora came with a dreamy music video. Filmed at Oheka Castle on Long Island, the video has a real fairytale vibe, with Liam looking like a dashing Prince Charming in his suit and Rita dazzling in a beautiful red princess dress. The video even includes special effects of them levitating!
‘Live Forever’
Filmed on the Isle of Wight, it’s no surprise that the music video for ‘Live Forever’ turned out to be visually stunning. Directed by Similar But Different, the video features Liam levitating over the crashing sea, exploring seaside caves, and hanging out with Cheat Codes at night. It’s one of Liam’s most cinematic offerings to date and we hope to see more atmospheric videos like this from him in the future.
‘Midnight’
Due to lockdown, many official music video shoots had to be cancelled but in return, a lot of our faves have worked hard to film visuals from the comfort of their homes. Liam is no different, and for his Alesso collaboration ‘Midnight’, he performed from his London home. Offering views from the rooftop of his building and shots from a studio, the video has such an intimate feel to it. Whilst we’re sure it’s a very different approach to what Liam and Alesso originally had planned, it works exquisitely with the song.

🎥 Fave film:
I can’t possibly narrow it down to one.  Despite the problems inherent to the novel on which it’s based, I am a huge fan of the film To Kill a Mockingbird.  Also, It’s A Wonderful Life.  The Prince of Egypt. O Brother, Where Art Thou? The Lion King. Woman in Gold. Spanglish. Pride and Prejudice. Sense and Sensibility. Moana. Midnight in Paris.  I know I’m forgetting something, but that’s a sampler lol.
📝 Fave quote:
Oh man, so many. For one, Amanda Gorman’s entire Inaguration speech.
“I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who will have sought and found how to serve.” --Albert Schweitzer
“Therefore, tell me: what will engage you? What will open the dark fields of your mind,    like a lover        at first touching?” --Mary Oliver
“You do not have to be good. You do not have to walk on your knees for a hundred miles through the desert repenting. You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves. Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine. Meanwhile the world goes on. Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain are moving across the landscapes, over the prairies and the deep trees, the mountains and the rivers. Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air, are heading home again. Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting - over and over announcing your place in the family of things.” --Mary Oliver
“Here, on the pulse of this new day You may have the grace to look up and out And into your sister’s eyes, and into Your brother’s face, your country And say simply Very simply With hope— Good morning.“  --Maya Angelou
“The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference. The opposite of art is not ugliness, it's indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it's indifference. And the opposite of life is not death, it's indifference.”  --Elie Wiesel
🌼 Fave flower:
Quite simply, a red rose. <3

“Ay caray!” he spit, and jerked away from her. Smeyer is a poetic genius. Not gonna lie, I shed a few tears at how beautiful this sentence is. Eleazar’s reaction to Renesmee symbolizes strength and wisdom. By choosing to say “Ay caray!” it illustrates the intensity of his character.
i hate to compliment smeyer when she’s been racist/sexist, etc, but it’s undeniable she’s been able to create some beautiful moments in these books.
pero like sometimes i do get a lil giggle out of smeyer including spanish dialogue. like here & in midnight sun too! idk why it makes me laugh just thinking of her using google translate. (i mean if she is fluent in spanish then... nvm bc she got that over me. i still be speaking spanglish as a 20 year old) but i do think that language should be accessible for everybody to learn/use, so i don’t mind. i’d rather her hispanic or latin characters be able to speak their native language at times, so even though it’s kind of funny, i appreciate it.
