MY VIGILANTE IZUKU FIC!!!

it's a my hero fic where dear izuku has a revival quirk :D here's a snippet:

(warning: dried blood, scars, mentions of death?)

Caked in russet, the shoulder part of his school uniform looked unsavable, while a few more smaller stains spread across the top. Not bothering to even try to get rid of those, he tugged the piece of clothing off and dropped it in the bin. Finally, he had a proper view at the scar that should’ve been enough to kill him but wasn’t. Starting from the crook of his neck, it stretched up across half of his throat, and it was about the size of a slightly bigger than average mouth and if Izuku looked closely enough, he could see the small wiggles that must be from the teeth.

Summary: But even so… this was going to happen. No matter how much Izuku didn’t want it to, the small, timid child knew that there was no stopping what had already begun. The outcome was inevitable.

“I-I have to f-f-follow them… I… d-d-don’t… have a-a choice…”

“OI!! DEKU?!? FOLLOW WHO? WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU SAYING?” Kacchan continued to scream questions through the radio’s tiny speakers, and Izuku was sure he could hear his voice echoing from up above him now too. Ah… so they were that close to saving him, huh?

AU Idea

A MHA Role Swap AU where Bakugou and Midoriya swap, but keep their personalities.

So Midoriya has a pyrokinesis quirk - he can move and form already existing fire however he likes, but can’t create it himself. Over the course of elementary school he is more and more pulled away from his best friend by his new friends. He still cares about Bakugou a lot, still thinks of him as his friend and tries to help, but goes about it so clumsily that he reinforces Bakugou’s belief that Midoriya is only pitying him and looks down on him, while that really couldn’t be any further from the truth. He is an awkward ray of sunshine.

Bakugou on the other hand is quirkless. His parents treat him like glass, his classmates as a punching bag. He doesn’t let it break him down - instead this only streghtens his resolve to become the number one hero and prove all those fuckers wrong. He is a ball of rage and spite and pure determination.

MHA Prompt: The Illegal Hero

Izuku Midoriya has a quirk. Izuku Midoriya is a hacker. Izuku Midoriya is 13-years-old. Izuku Midoriya is a pro-hero.

These four facts are not unrelated.

Or: In which Izuku, as a joke, wants the most accurate Halloween costume ever, and so he dresses up as his fictional hero alias, complete with a ridiculously accurate (and fake) hero ID, and he accidentally ends up mistaken for a hero and helping out on a case. Obviously, he now has to get a fake hero identity via hacking into HPSC servers and creating a completely new heroic identity for himself. His anxiety won't allow him to do anything else like, say, the reasonable option of explaining to the heroes that no, the very obviously teenage boy was definitely not a hero.

So now, The Illegal Hero: Midori (tbh, Izuku would) must be the best hero he can be while also becoming All Might's successor AND being a UA student AND pretending his mom totally didn't get killed months ago. (Tbh, homeless Izuku and dads!Erasermic have my heart)

Extra: Parental Mic and Eraser. Dad for one. Izuku tries to f*ck up his dad's illegal BS. Like in the Flaming Hero: Eclipse fic. That one's fun.

P.S. Wouldn't it be fun if Izuku stole Aizawa's capture weapon and learned how to use it himself? Lol.

In MHA canon, modern weaponry has continued to evolve even as quirks emerged. Which begs the question, why has no quirkless person become a hero just by virtue of a bunch of guns and grenades.

Which leads me to posit that in an alternate universe where Deku never inherits OFA…

Do you think Yoichi's words regarding his brother's quirk are a preview of Izuku getting his own afo quirk? Yoichi remarks that the power of giving and receiving could be the kindest power in the world and it seems premonitory that after so much time of AFO using his quirk for his own purposes and Izuku which one of his main characteristics is kindness, be the one who gives a new meaning to the quirk.

Well, Im pretty sure hori doesnt draw izuku with afo holes in his palms just for fun.

Its obvious he has the afo quirk himself! So yes, yoichi saying that his brothers quirk could be the nicest in the world was clearly foreshadowing. Izuku is the kindest and most forgiving person in this story. In his hands the afo quirk would be used exactly the way yoichi wanted his brother to use it. For kindness and to safe/protect others.

I think thats why its so important to get a final showdown between izuku and afo (his dad). Im to 100% sure izuku will fully awaken his afo quirk and show afo how a HERO uses that kind of quirk. Afo believes because he was born with this kind of quirk he was always rotten to the core. That he couldnt have been someone else. Izuku showing how selfless the afo quirk could be used would teach afo that he always had a choice. That your quirk doesnt define you.

And if HE had used his quirk the way izuku will use it (to do good), he wouldnt have lost his brother. Because in this case yoichi would have followed him gladly and willingly!

It's interesting that out of all of Class 1A's "big three", Izuku is the only one who chose someone who was clearly a heteromorph for his team.

And as an aside it's absolutely bizarre that Tokoyami didn't get picked by other teams. He had a decent number of points from the first round and 1A at least knew he was strong.

Not sure what was going on with that: mutant discrimination, the first round not playing to his strengths at the time, or just Tokoyami being a weird little man who hangs out in the corner reciting grimdark prose

You know what's messed up about people hating on characters who cry? When the character actually has legit reasons to cry! Some of them be put in life or death situations! AND BE KIDS!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I would cry every single second if I was Midoriya. Like, folks be calling him a "crybaby" in a derogatory fashion but think about all he has gone through.

You really think you wouldn't be crying, too? Be honest, be honest. Even if you don't do it right in front of people, you would cry behind closed doors.

Oh I just had an idea

So I think Izuku will give Tomura OFA, I'm guessing this would defeat Tomura-AFO Quirk from the inside

Plus I guess it depends on how Izuku gives Tomura OFA, whether it is through dna or letting him take it, but...

If Izuku gives Tomura OFA via dna, what if Vestige Izuku gets into the Void to save Tenko while Real Izuku is still fighting with what he has left of OFA (because remember it takes a while for it to fully transfer over)?

Or if Izuku lets Tomura take OFA, if it's like an instantaneous transfer, then we'd have quirkless Izuku with Fully Quirked Tomura and that may bring up some feelings about how he used to be

In either scenario, I think it would be like a side-by-side sort of thing where Real Izuku confronts Tomura somehow while Vestige Izuku comforts Tenko

All while the other vestiges find and destroy Vestige AFO

That'd be cool I think

I just want a fanfic where Izuku's quirk is like the Inumaki's cursed technique from jjk

All for the sake of the scene with Shinsou, where Shinsou needs a verbal answer, and Izuku very confidently says “shut up”

Shinsou either needs to verbally give the order (which he can't do) or move Izuku away. But outside intervention will break Izuku out of Shinsou's quirk

and in the end they stand like two idiots, both under the quirk of each other, unable to do anything.

I caught up to the manga!

Here are my thoughts and predictions of what might happen:

Media broadcast reminds me of Kamino arc and Dabi reveal. Kamino arc revealed All Might's true self and health issues. Dabi reveal outed E-word as the abuser he is. Both reveals caused a great shock in public. Since the patterns are similar, I expect another shocking reveal in a few chapters. Possibly around 398. And that would be AFO outing himself as Hisashi to All Might, Izuku, or both 👀

I'm worried about All Might. Nighteye predicted he would have a gruesome death, and he had several death flags in this arc alone. Trying to fight prime AFO as a quirkless man is so dangerous 😭 I want to believe he will stay alive. He HAS to keep living.

I'm not sure how many spies AFO still has in UA. They might sabotage the system and take civilians hostage. Especially because one of the parts (cabins) is unable to move to the safe grounds.

Toga's villain name... she drinks blood to transform. I think it will be something like Bloody or Blood Lover 😅

E-word will die. I want Touya to return to his family, but he's so burnt he probably needs Rewind to survive.

Quirk rebellion is interesting. AFO and Shiggy will lose their stolen quirks if they are able to break free from them.

I find Izuku's condition very sus. His hands are always covered with gloves, what if he has holes on them like his dad?

If Izuku has his own version of AFO, he might be able to borrow quirks from his classmates. OR he can fight in that mind dimension to set the stolen quirks free. Just like how Yoichi and Nana defied AFO.

Speaking of Nana, I wonder if she's related to Inko? They do look similar, and Nana being Izuku's grandma would make Shiggy his cousin. I hope Hori can give us Inko's backstory after the DFO reveal.

(these are mostly crack to me so don't expect good explanations-)

Quirk: True Beat

Friday Night Funkin crossover

- Izuku can only speak in boops and beeps, but everyone understands him somehow (except Bakugou)

- Izuku can initiate a singing battle with anyone by manifesting a mic and throwing it at someone, so long as it touches them the battle will begin.

- Singing battles transcend the language barrier and the effected are reduced to voicing an instrument. This manner of speech is still understandable universally.

- Izuku is everyones boyfriend

- Izuku can summon giant speakers and and a "girlfriend"

- Holding a sing off takes a lot of energy, missing notes drains energy faster. If Izuku can't keep up he'll wind up unconscious and with a sore throat.

Quirk: Kindergarten

Dont Hug Me Im Scared crossover

- A reality bending nightmare localized entirely around one traumatized green blue boy

- Childish rhymes and songs (mostly in the form of a "lesson") that generate a violent response often to the point of a psychotic break

- The longer the song goes on the more warped reality becomes

- Izuku breaks the fourth wall like a Dora the Explora knockoff

- Anyone remember that one episode of batman from way back then? Thats it, thats the qurik.

Quirk: Mime

- Mimes are already overpowered. Now imagine that when they do that box thing it was actually real? I don't have anything else to say.
