i dont know how to say this but sometimes i see dresses from the mid 19th century and i know immediately its an american dress .... theyre somehow different and i cannot explain how. this is also true for seeing daugerrotypes of people from like the 1840-1860s and immediately knowing that theyre from the united states..... something about the dresses again but also something else
