i think @billfarrah has touched on this and probably a few others

but i find it super interesting that so many people see wille as this super awkward, clumsy person and are surprised when he knows how to flirt with simon and i know a lot of these are jokes and also come from wille's first interaction with simon where he trips

but i actually think wille is pretty confident both in his relationship with simon as well as outside of it

take the fish scene for example, he was fully confident and in control in that scene

he's the one who introduces himself to simon in ep 1 and he's the one who asks simon if he wants to spend time with him at the party

he goes to simon in ep 5 of s2 and lays out exactly what the circumstances are, in front of rosh and ayub, without hesitation

he offers to get simon hotdogs

he tells simon that he'd "show him" what he wanted to do if simon ever came to the palace

he lures (lol probably the wrong word but whatever) simon into the music room for a hook up with just one look

he chases after simon's car and puts in clear words that he wants to be with him but he left the crown behind for himself

the times where he does seem awkward or he stumbles over his words are when his and simon's relationship is uncertain

when he asks simon to stay with him for parents weekend, he seems awkward because he's trying to figure out how to phrase his offer and he's not sure where he stands with simon

when he tells simon he got a haircut in their first interaction after their break up, he's just trying to figure out what to say and how to start a conversation

when he asks simon to open the pencil case, he just wants simon to pay him some attention

any of the times where he seems awkward, it's because him and simon aren't on steady ground

i think it's fine if people view him as clumsy and awkward, but i think it's also important to note that when he's certain of his relationship with simon, he doesn't hold back and he actually does have quite a lot of game.

guys. if you want album or music recs i highly recommend TOURIST SEASON by miel, which was released in 2020. i listened to it in 2022 and it's one of my favorite albums of all time.

the fact that it's about anthony is still so surreal to me. sometimes i wonder what it feels like to have an album be about you, especially when it's by your ex, and especially when the album is so damn good???

me and yifei star in an isekai cdrama where we end up in tang dynasty chang'an. i would find it sooo interesting and i think he would too bc he's literally born there (just that the city is called xi'an now. it used to be the capital in the tang dynasty although it's beijing now.) you know actually i doubt we would actually survive tang dynasty china they didn't even speak modern chinese as we know it. and if yifei's like me (practically illiterate in traditional chinese) we are fucked. but it would be so damn cool.

in response to your tags in that last post about why does simon go to break up with marcus after that scene i've always thought that this is the moment he truly realized he wasn't the least bit over wille remember this was after his "i don't know why i can't just fall in love with [marcus]" and i think this was almost confirmation for simon as to why. like he clearly does not want to hurt wille with this information but he doesn't want to lie to him that nothing is going on. and he can clearly tell how it's affecting wille even if wille isn't saying that outright. and him just watching wille take in the information and then after when he just continues to watch him is i think him realizing that even if he can't be with wille at that moment in time, being with marcus won't help because he won't be able to fall for marcus while his feelings for wille are so strong.

so anyways, yeah i feel like this is the scene where he's most confronted with how much he still feels for wille and he realizes marcus won't be able to help that any time soon

(it also one of my fave scenes from s2 because of everything unspoken between them in all those tense moments, also because of omar's EYES in that scene. he really said bambi with those things)

we are 12 days away from Speak Now (TV) (which i am UNSPEAKABLY excited for as it's always been at least in my top 2 fave albums) and in honor of that

i have some young royals x taylor swift thoughts.

today's rambly message is about... HAUNTED

i genuinely never realized how wilmon-coded it was until i applied it to simon during the Valentine's Ball so... let's get into it!

(even though they didn't want it to be, their entire relationship has always been shaky because of outside pressures. the wille back and forth, the sex-tape, all of season 2 leading up to ep 4 etc, however if it was up to both of them, they would want it to be simple, and they didn't actually want it to end)

(thinking about Simon panicking over the idea of losing Wille after trying to push him away the entire season! like... yes he wanted space, but he also didn't. and he's not used to wille looking at him and talking to him like he's any other person. thinking about simon's pov of the wille/marcus/simon interaction and how off-guard simon is over the whole thing)

(just this whole chorus does such a good job of highlighting Simon's panic during this scene, how, even though he thought he wanted this space, now he can barely breathe without the comfort that wille will still be there for him)

(again, most of this i can relate entirely to ep 4 of s2. like simon watching as wille leaves while still knowing he loves him, thinking he's losing him. the second part is kinda self explanatory but like... marcus as a whole was obviously such a terrible attempt at getting over wille and the entire time he was with marcus he was thinking of wille)

like..... when i had this haunted realization i knew i had to share it with you, and it's been a while since i've sent you an unhinged taylor x wilmon analysis

miels I'm so sorry I got to this late asbhjgfjd I saw this ask and thought I was going to answer it later but this is like several days off rip 💀💀

anyway into the thoughts!! haunted is SUCH a good song choice omg

the intro alone, I agree with all your thoughts and also "I never thought I'd live to see it break" reminds me of that one line in wille's speech in s1ep4 where he says how it should've been him and not erik standing there, and then we see him breaking it off with simon the very next scene like oh my godd

and "something's made your eyes go cold" and how cool toned s2 was when they were apart and trying to have space but not lose each other!!

and YES the chorus and how big and swelling it is like simon's panic every time wille blindsides him, especially with "I thought I had you figured out" which reminds me so much of him thinking they were going to be in it together before the denial ;-;

HOUGH THE SECOND VERSE I DIDN'T MAKE THE CONNECTION TO S2 SIMON UNTIL NOW BUT IT IS PERFECT????? simon watched wille walk away so many times AND the last two lines are basically the marcus situation boiled down to that

and then the bridge which is short but the way it goes from "I know you're not gone" to "you can't be gone" like simon's emotions after finding out about the denial and realizing he doesn't know if he can trust wille :')

those are all my thoughts for now, I might send you a story of us ask actualy bc I'm listening to it and the lyrics are s2 coded as well

Miele is very physically affectionate! He loves cuddling and kissing and groping them!! The big way he shows his affection is by making you pretty; putting make-up on you, finding you cute outfits, that kinda thing.

Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?

A lot of things! He loves forcing affection on his partners, making them think they want it. He'd prefer that they sit still and let him treat them like a little dolly, but if they flinch away from the eyeliner pencil or refuse to wear the dress he bought them he's fully ready to hold them down and make them deal with it.

Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?

Miele acts like he's baring his soul to them, tells them all kinds of scandalous little secrets and embarrassing stories. Don't trust any of it, he never says anything without some kind of ulterior motive, no matter how small.

Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?

His mood swings and two-faced nature make him highly unpredictable. One moment he's giggling about how cute they are and showing them cool TikToks, the next he's screaming at them for fucking up a photo and making him look incompetent.

Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?

It depends on the person, but his primary tactic is to just approach them and excitedly introduce himself. He'll talk a mile a minute, rambling about how nice it is to meet them and how nice their hair is and oh! Did he mention his name is Miele Alarie? Have they heard that name before? Teehee, he won't be mad if they haven't!

From there he'll just continue being so annoyingly friendly and cutesy that they can't help but find him endearing and—gasp! Do they have a teensy weensy little crush on him? Awww! That's so cute! Well he has a secret crush of his own, can they guess who it is?

"you're watching me lie when i say that i'm fine" fits how often wille brushes off that he's "fine" to simon)

Without you, I don't even know myself (know myself)

(there are definitely points in s2 where wille feels like he needed/wanted simon more than simon wanted/needed him, even if it was just how simon wanted wille to think)

@multi-lefaiye since you asked, here's some stuff about camilla marie!! (and because i could not just pour my heart out about my babygirl in the notes, i made a post :) it's so very rambly..)

camilla is the original babygirl, my very first oc <3 i won't get into her origins here because i cover that in her wip intro (which im going to post soon!!), but she's very dear to me and has been with me since i was 12.

bit of basic info:

she/her & ae/aer/aem pronouns

she's an agender lesbian and is okay with using feminine descriptors (daughter, girl, woman, etc.)

she's a sun fae!! which is a fae who is the child of zola, the sun goddess. it's a surprisingly common thing for faefolk to be directly related to zola, zolit, or solya. (zolit and solya are the moon god and goddess.)

ae's also a mage

so, her backstory is that she was swapped with a changeling at birth and adopted by riven alderbranch, a traitor to the fae courts. im not going to say who her second biological parent is tho because it's more fun if it's secret. but anyway, her adoptive father is riven (he/she). after stealing away from the fae courts, riven ended up being adopted into a werewolf pack in northern astelle, and that's where she and camilla live now. while it's technically a werewolf pack, they've adopted so many people into their family that less than half of the pack is comprised of werewolves. (because i refuse to use the stupid inaccurate alpha/omega/whatever shit in my werewolf world building. i read something about werewolves adopting people into their packs and went yeah i'll base my world building around that.)

camilla's story is a lot of found family. living in a werewolf pack, she grew up in a massive farm house full of people. everyone in the pack is family to her, even the more annoying kids around her age, like dean mayweather (she/they). also with growing up in the pack, when ae goes to magic school in vermagne, ae basically adopts her new friends into her family.

one of such friends is cameron darcy (she/they). camilla WILL fight anyone who is mean to cameron.

aer other best friends are jaimie tuckerr (he/him), arabella fyr (xe/she/they) and nickodeemus fyr (he/him), all of which ae grew up with. arabella and nicko are twins (arabella's older). jaimie and camilla are practically joined at the hip.

also, im no longer sure how (ig someone in the pack knows and taught the kids), but camilla knows how to sword fight and has so much fun with it. it's like aer favourite pasttime. even more so when she convinces jaimie to sword fight with her.

other than sword fighting, at home a lot of camilla's time is dedicated to helping run the farm that the pack owns. a lot of that time is spent gathering plants and roots, tending gardens, harvesting, preserving food, and cooking for the pack (because there's like. 25 people in the pack? at least?). everyone plays a part and lends a helping hand. they have a few livestock animals, their farm is mostly gardens and orchards. their specialty is hibiscus!! which they sell at the market in nachelte, a port up the calley from their farm. camilla LOVES iced hibiscus tea with orange slices in it. she chooses to spend most of her time in the orchards or in the forest gathering roots and local plants rather than in the kitchen, mostly because the kitchen is where dean is most of the time.

why dean and camilla have beef, i don't know, but the conflict is fun to have.

rather than using a wand for magic, camilla uses rocks and stones, which is quite common in astelle!

another very dear person ae met at magic school is her girlfriend, althea miel (she/her). her parents are beekeepers from fenreille. jaimie is partially the reason they ended up together, because he noticed althea's very obvious crush while camilla was obliviously crushing on althea. althea and camilla are just. really sweet together. also i think althea might have mildly prophetic dreams because i have written a few eery dream scenes for her. we love foreshadowing via dreams!

also very important to me about camilla: she has adhd! i did that before i even realized i had adhd and brushed aside the thoughts of vague wondering about why the adhd symptoms i had her exhibit in my writing felt so relatable. the adhd is just something that i feel like makes so much sense for her. she's also dyslexic.

gender is also weird for her. ae doesn't really feel gender? like she's okay with certain gendered terms, but she has no attachment to it whatsoever. she never thought about it much until jaimie came out as trans, and when did think about it, she shrugged and went "nah, not feeling it. i don't need one of those."

and on final thing about her, at one point i toyed with the idea of her being a bit of a bully, and ig it stuck in a few weird places because she's down to fight pretty much anyone, and there's this one kid at magic school, mirth, that she would 100% beat up. canonically, not yet sure where beating him up fits into the story, but camilla really wants to beat him up. like he's a bit bitchy and pathetic, but i can't say i get why she wants to heat the snot out of him so bad. one of life's great mysteries /hj.

edit: here's a picrew i forgot to add! i think im going to make aer hair shorter tho because hair is important to fae and when she finds out who her bio dad is she cuts all of her hair off except her sacred braids because she's pissed at zem.

ok this is a super quick moment, basically just in a flash of the trailer, but i can't help but kinda lose it how even in this short second, wille still looks at simon with so much awe no matter what has happened between them up until this point

he's still so surprised by simon being soft with him and i just love that even after all this time he still looks at simon in the same way as when he first saw him

it's the way that in the scene in the library from episode 6 wille originally looks like he's going to hide and his hand moves towards his stomach as if he can already feel it aching but he realizes he can't not say something to simon when he's *right there* and how you can see simon steal himself when he hears wille say "hi" and how he has to take a breath to center himself before he turns around and when he asks "hur mar du?" you can *hear* all the emotions he's holding back just in those few words

the tension and heartbreak is just so palpable and you can't help but feel like you can't breathe as they try to get through the painful interaction.

all of this paired with the fact that they were both returning Kris which was a book that clearly spoke to them
