Post-Canon Pirates Headcanons

-The isles immediately outside the ice wall are pretty ravaged by corruption for about a fifty mile perimeter. Beyond that is a perimeter of uninhabited islands, any people who might have lived there in the past had long since fled for fear of the corruption spreading outwards. Due to this it takes several weeks sailing past where the ice wall once stood to actually reach inhabited land.

-The areas outside the ice wall meanwhile don't realize anything was beyond the corruption, they assumed the corruption just swallowed everything in that area. Needless to say it creates quite a stir when people claiming to be from the area inside the corruption start showing up.

-Owen keeps traveling with Luanne but also starts working with Gabriel to try to fill in any gaps/correct any misinformation in the history books.

-Scott explores for a bit before settling down on one of the uninhabited islands beyond the ice wall and setting up another animal sanctuary, though the island also ends up slowly growing into a town with many of the pirates who go explore beyond the ice wall using it as a sort of home base away from the faction isles.

-Scott cuts all ties he has to his parents, he ends up tossing his coat since it was a gift from his mother and getting a new wardrobe and changes his last name from Denholm to Smajor. He's also very careful to time his visits back to the faction isle to visit Acho's grave to ensure he doesn't run into his parents. He has no desire to confront his parents, they're not worth it and they won't listen to anything he has to say anyway. The other pirates do their best meanwhile to ensure the Denholm parents never find out where Scott went.

-Alongside working to undo the petrifiction, Apo and Graecie also help lead the charge to put the faction isles back together following the cultists killing over half the townsfolk and a large portion of the recruits.

-Apo also takes on the extra work of working with any pirates who don't go beyond the ice wall but don't stay on the faction isles plus any new pirates recruited after Iris's defeat to try to track down the moving island so they can recover Hook.

-CPK helps bring in a lot more new recruits and some new townsfolk, his main goal is recruiting more Kites but he does still frequently send along pirates that, while interested in the factions, aren't entirely sure the Kites are the right choice for them.

-The bounty guild kind of falls apart without Saffrie. There's no one really ready to step into her role and thus it ends up falling apart.

-I'm stealing @minecraftrelatedrandomness headcanon that Ros helps Kyle turn the temple into a museum honoring those who who were petrified by Iris. Afterwards Kyle decides to finally focus on his music rather than pleasing his dead dad and Ros goes to help Scott run his animal sanctuary.

-Sausage takes Jellie with him on his interdimensional travels at first though later entrusts her care to Graecie and Apo, both because he doesn't want her getting hurt while he's out on his adventures and because if/when they manage to unpetrify Scar he wants Jellie to be there when he wakes up.

-The faction leaders track down the families of any of the petrified that have them and tell them what happened. It's a job no one enjoys but someone has to do it.

-I like to believe they manage to figure out how to undo the petrification, and when they do the first person Apo and Graecie bring back is Marnie, though they work to get everyone back as quickly as they can.

What would happen if the Farmer died and the NPC's of Stardew Valley had to deal with the aftermath?

Okay, imagine one day, the Farmer goes a little too far into the Skull Caverns. The luck buff ran out and a flying serpent yeeted into their ass at 500 miles an hour. Instant brain death. Body flung through the cave like a limp ragdoll. It happens.

But with the farmer dead, what's going to happen to the farm?

Marnie volunteered to look after the animals until a more permanent solution could be established. Upon entering the first coop, everything seems reasonably normal. Some chickens, ducks and a rabbit. And then, scratching around at the back is a jet black chook. No big deal, plenty of breeds have black feathers, but not many happen to have deep, red eyes, that seemed to pierce into her soul.

Still recovering from the hen from hell, Marnie thought she was prepared for anything. Opening the next coop, a 4 foot tall green lizard was waiting for her at the door. More were seen behind the one in front of her, casually chilling there. One of them belched out a bit of fire, narrowly missing her head.

It's probably a good thing she never got to the ostrich shed.

Marnie told Lewis about the strange animals that inhabited the farm, who then let Rasmodius know. After several days of negotiation, many cups of coffee and an out-of-body experience, Rasmodius got rid of the animals. In return, he was given the entire town's stock of wine. The townspeople never found out what he did with them, but occasionally, loud noises could be heard from the tower, and they certainly were not human. If there were parties happening, the townspeople were glad to not be invited.

There was much debate over the ownership of the farm. Pierre wanted to rent it out to supplement his own income. Marnie (after carefully making sure the abominations were gone) offered to buy it to expand her livestock business. Penny thought it would make a good location for a public school. However, when they found ton of RADIOACTIVE BARS in the farmers stuff, it was decided that the house would remain in the custody of the town forever.

And anyone who went within a kilometre of the farm had to undergo mandatory testing for radiation poisoning.

...I seem to recall saying that I thought the idea of collecting anything was a flawed concept in and of itself. Something about collections being surefire ways to create superfluous clutter? And yet, you lot continue to force a watch collection on me anyway. Hmph.

It's not as though I can just get rid of any of them, either. Not when they're relatively expensive gifts, and they happen to match my style and sensibilities as well. And having three watches that fit is certainly preferable to having one that decidedly doesn't, now isn't it. Especially with charming accompanying accessories... so thank you very much, I suppose, for this superfluous clutter.

Speaking of, another plush toy, hm? At this rate, I'll have one of my pokemons' every form, not just every member... the figurine can go on the second shelf that anon so kindly provided me, but I think this Gothita is better served at the foot of my bed. If Gothitelle deigns to stop dragging it about the place, anyway. So, thanks. From both of us. I think that tumbler will be the most useful to me - I do hate it when my tea goes cold.

synopsis: y/n and remus are debating over the best halloween movie

warnings: halloweentown is the best, timelines messed up, foul language, reader's hogwarts house isnt mentioned, established relationship, everyones alive obvi, kinda crack fic kinda fluff

sirius brought up the idea, in all honesty. though he meant everyone, remus and y/n decided it would be fun to have a movie night with just the two of them.

"did you get the popcorn, darling?" y/n asked remus as he entered the room.

remus quickly turned around and grabbed the buttery bowl on the counter, then ran back to their room. setting the bowl on the bedstead, remus turned and promptly flopped onto the bed beside y/n. they laughed at him and hit play on the remote.

remus sat up with a "fuck" (because he knew what was good for his back) and grabbed a handful of popcorn and shoved it in his mouth. turning of the bedside lamp, y/n snuggled into remus.

"isn't this the one with the cool grandma?" remus asked as the movie showed marnie arguing with her mom.

"hell yeah. it's the not scary halloween movie that is literally one of the best movies ever made. ever." y/n stated, waving a hand in front of them.

remus snorted and pulled the bowl of popcorn to sit in their lap. "yeah but aren't you a little biased?"

y/n turned around and made a face at him. "uhm, excuse me. it's tradition for everyone in the bloodline to watch this when its spooky season."

remus rolled his eyes. "but what's the point? there are better movies out there."

y/n scoffed. "yeah. but all i'm saying is that this is the best halloween movie. 8 mile is top tier period."

"not quite. beetlejuice, the shining, those are top tier," remus argued.

"merlin," y/n sighed. "remus just watch the merlin forsaken movie."

remus couldn't resist. "or what?"

y/n slapped him lightly on the arm. "else i'll tell siri and jay all the songs you like to sing in the shower. oh, and i'll tell james you and sirius were both singing bohemian raphsody that one day you though i left."

remus ceased. "you... heard that?"

y/n grinned. "hell yeah i did. now shut up and watch the movie."

remus swallowed. "of course your highness."

half an hour remus was asleep. y/n was no beside remus, with his arms wrapped around them. his freakishly long arms were wrapped protectively around y/n's waist, and he was snoring away.

even though the movie wasn't over, y/n turned off the t.v anyway and turned to fall asleep with remus.

very faintly, y/n swore they head an 'i love you' right before they fell asleep.

<The video appears to have been taken the previous night in Amy's lab. The angle is strange, like it was shot close to the ground and from around a corner. All of the lights are off, and the only light in the room seems to be coming from an outdoor street light shining through the window. Ray stands alone in the middle of the room, swaying back and forth slightly to some unheard rhythm.

Then, slowly, methodically, they begin to dance. Their movements are stilted and unsure, and they occasionally stop mid-step to correct their footing or the position of their arms. It's barely audible, but they can also be heard humming a song they've half-forgotten, their movements faltering when they struggle to remember the next part of the tune. At all times, at least one arm is held out into the open air. It's like they're performing a duet without a partner. Despite the performance being overall painful to watch, there are moments where they seem to synchronize with the memories all over again, and their movements become incredibly graceful and fluid for a brief burst.

Their questionable attempts at dancing are halted by someone shining a light on them from off-screen. This causes the cameraman to flinch back around the corner for a few seconds and Ray to jolt into a defensive stance, putting one hand on the hilt of their machete and the other in front of their chest.

???: Ray?

A tired voice calls to them from out of frame, causing them to relax their stance and take their hand off of their weapon. It sounds familiar, but with how tired and quiet it is, it's hard to nail down the identity until Ray speaks up.

Ray: Amy... It... It's just you. Skies above, you scared the skin off of me.

Soft laughter can be heard as Amy approaches from the right side of the shot. He seems to be ready to go to sleep, dressed in an old Goldenrod Ecological Center t-shirt and Joltik-themed pajama pants. Notably, they don't seem to be wearing their glasses. By their side is Maxx, who looks just as irritated as usual by Ray's general existence, if not moreso considering the late hour.

Amy: Speak for yourself. I thought my lab had a ghost in it.

Ray: Wait, really?

Amy: ... It's a nice night, isn't it?

Amy doesn't answer the question, only giving a sly smile and looking outside. Ray huffs quietly in irritation, but still allows the ghost of a smile to grace their face for a second before returning to their usual stoicism.

Ray: Yes, the sky is beautiful from in this lab. I can see stars for miles.

They both spend a minute in silence, staring out at that lone street light as Maxx's tail glow becomes less focused, becoming more of a lantern than a flashlight. Eventually, Ray speaks up, sounding much more solemn and serious than before.

Ray: ... Amy. If anything goes wrong in there, I want you to make sure Marny gets out alive. Don't worry about me.

Amy seems visibly bewildered by this statement, turning their head back to face Ray as if looking into their yellow-tinted goggles would give them answers.

Amy: Ray, I'm not-

Ray: This is my fault. Not just the past stuff, but... If I had been here, maybe I would've been able to speak to her before she made a life for herself. A life with you.

Ray shakes their head, their hand drawn up to the left side of their chest as they look away from the window.

Amy: Ray...

Amy reaches up and cups Ray's cheek, gently guiding their head back towards them. The hand then moves into their hair, and they seem to lean into the touch slightly as Amy gently traces beneath the green and blonde mess.

Amy: No one is getting left behind, okay? Look... Marny and I are good friends, nothing more than that. I don't know why she'd think you're "stealing me" or whatever. If that's how you see it, then I understand why that would make you feel so afraid, but... I promise, that's not what you're doing. And I'm sure once we get her out of there together, she'll understand that. I care about both of you equally. I don't think I could live with myself if I left you to die like that.

Their hand moves down to Ray's shoulder, resting on a patch of sky-themed fabric, drawing a sigh from the vagabond as they move their hand on top of the professor's.

Ray: ... And I couldn't live with myself if something happened to you because you wanted to keep me alive. You've already done so much for me, even though I kept trying to push you away. If you hadn't found me, if you hadn't put your neck on the line to keep my secret safe... We wouldn't be having this conversation. I would have just stayed isolated again, and... I don't know if I ever would have come back. You've done so much to protect me and let me heal, and I'm still not sure why. Please. At least let me pretend I can do the same thing for you.

Amy seems stunned speechless for a moment. Ray's inflection is just as flat as usual, but near the end of their spiel, their pace seemed to grow unsteady, speeding up and slowing down with their racing thoughts. Despite the struggle to emote, their emotions can still be read. Amy seems like they might try to continue the conversation, but Maxx's tail brushing against his leg forces the two apart with a shock. Ray gasps sharply and clutches their hand, murmuring something unintelligible in Hoennian.

Amy: Ah, sorry! You're not-?

Ray: I'm fine, I'm fine. It just caught me by surprise, is all...

Amy: Oh, good. Good...

They stand there in awkward silence for a moment before Amy clears their throat, breaking the silence.

Amy: We should probably get some sleep. I doubt Juno is going to have much patience for us if we oversleep.

Ray: I know xe won't, believe me. I have stories.

Amy chuckles, reaching down and petting Maxx as he bleats impatiently, trying to guide his trainer back to bed.

Amy: Alright, alright, I'm going... Goodnight, Ray. Make sure you tell me those stories later.

Ray: Yeah... Goodnight to you too, Amy.

As Amy walks out of the room, leaving Ray in darkness once again, the silhouette of a Morgrem can be faintly seen peeking from behind an office chair on the other side of the room. After that, the video cuts out.>

Seven-year-old Evie Munson had been very emphatic about the fact that she did not want her mother to buy her boxed Valentines at the pharmacy to give out at school this year, no sir, no way, no how; Evie wanted to make her own special and personalized works-of-art for each and every one of her twenty-five classmates (and teacher too). Though bemused by their daughter's zeal, Chrissy and Eddie were both very well acquainted with Evie's stubborn streak, and knew that once she set her mind to something, she'd see it through come hell or highwater.

Chrissy set Evie up to execute her vision on a Saturday afternoon, kitchen table laden (at Evie's very pointed request) with craft scissors, glue, tape, card stock, glitter, pom-poms, pipe cleaners, popsicle sticks, a stack of old magazines, a bin full of stamps, an ice cream bucket overflowing with every colour of marker you can imagine, and a bag of elbow macaroni. She left Evie to it, setting about the house on her usual run of weekend chores, calling back answers to questions about the spelling Evie's friend's names, or to supply words that rhymed with goat, and hoop, and pancake. Chrissy wandered back into the kitchen when she heard Eddie come home from work, and found him still in his coveralls, surveying the craft maelstrom that had spread from the table to the counters and floors, while Evie explained each card to him at about a mile a minute—"I drew David a koala because he loves koalas, and Janie always brings boiled eggs for a snack so I wrote an egg joke, and Marnie likes the New Kids on the Block so I tried to draw Donnie..."—until she paused and took a breath; Eddie looked like his head was spinning, but he was grinning. "Wow, look at all that, baby girl! That sure is something—" he leaned over, punctuating the next word by planting a big kiss on the top of Evie's curly, blonde head "—amazing. Great job, kiddo."

*In a giant plume of gas covered the entire town of Motostoke. Covering it with Gloria Tamato berried fuel stench. Which caused a lot of eye watering, people passing out and everying poison type coming from a over 100 mile radius. While Marnie seem to be unaffected by the smell. And actually seem to enjoy it.*
