Oof I've been really busy over the last few weeks with a new job! Art has been on the back-burner for a bit, just while I get settled in 馃ケ
Anyway, this is a repaint of an old piece from 2019 that I got an urge to revisit after finding an inspiring pose.

Watching the "Quiet On Set" documentary with my boyfriend reminded me of meme rap Joji wrote right before he became Joji (i.e., when he was still Filthy Frank). A song my bf showed me ages ago that references everything mentioned in the documentary.
Except the song came out in 2017.
I mean, it's aimed at edgy humor Weird Guys from that era of the internet, but it's tangible proof that Schneider's pattern of behavior - and a wider pattern of abuse from the entertainment industry - has been an open secret for over a decade.
Enough that some random YouTube shitposter could make a semi-satirical rap about no longer being able to jerk off to children's television in his 20's because he's "not into kids".
THIS IS ALMOST A DECADE OLD NOW!!! A DECADE AGO PEOPLE WERE POINTING THIS SHIT OUT!!!! He called Schneider out by name in 2017 and Nickelodeon wouldn't cut ties for another two years.
I think some people forget how drastically the #MeToo movement changed our social norms in regard to workplace harassment. It's becoming harder and harder for abusive assholes to get away with shit. All the groups they'd usually leverage sociopolitical power against before (primarily anyone who wasn't a white cishet landowning man) now has backup and receipts and solidarity. And it's scaring them because they're getting more and more sneaky.
Don't let them be sneaky.
Let's keep this momentum going and make the entertainment industry safer. All industries, really. Let's Hold Abusers Accountable in 2024.

this might be an unpopular opinion but I genuinely like the rwrb movie poster better than the og book cover.
I have a degree in illustration, I have taken several graphic design classes, and even did a series of illustrated book covers as a teenager that won awards in art shows. now... it been years since then. but I still have the graphic design and illustration knowledge that I earned.
it's a shit book cover.
and I'm SO GLAD the movie poster isn't bubble gum pink. the book cover has never accurately represented the content of the book

What鈥檚 the most ridiculous thing you would buy if you were given a million dollars?
This massive rose quartz bathtub that looks like a lump of particularly fatty bacon irradiated to the point of near criticality. Maybe if I soak in it long enough I can harness the power of Magic Rock Vibrations, unravel whatever hex has caused like, oh, the last three years and finally experience the satisfaction that is supposed to be the gift of middle age.
It should be noted I do not have a multi million dollar palazzo in which to put it. My bathroom looks like this:
It's only marginally larger than the tub above so I'd have to kind of vault in through the door. I'd also have to hope that it doesn't go through the floor, either, which is pretty much as vintage as the decor there.
