Cornered 2 foreshadowing??????

And then, he walked away. Ryou’s hands balled into fists and his face grew hot. He stepped into the doorway and quietly shut the door, watching Malik walk into the kitchen from his place on the welcome mat.

“What if I want to argue, though? You never want to argue.”

Malik scoffed. “Astute observation, detective.”

Ryou’s brow furrowed and his nose wrinkled at the comment. It sent him over the edge. Those weren’t words that came from someone who ‘didn’t want to argue.’

“Can you even hear yourself?” Ryou asked, stomping into the kitchen. He didn’t like how relaxed Malik seemed to be as he preoccupied himself with looking in the fridge.

“Can you please respect me asking not to do this right now?” Was Malik’s response as his eyes scanned the contents of the fridge with no intention of pulling anything out of it.

Ryou’s eye twitched. “No, Malik,” He shot back. “Because if we don’t talk about this now, it’s never going to come up again because you avoid everything that’s even remotely negative.”

Ryou took a quick breath, making sure Malik wouldn’t interrupt what he wasn’t finished with.

“And you have no fucking idea how horrible you not wanting to talk about this looks to someone who is supposed to be helping the police department solve a crime.”

While Ryou’s face became red, and his hands shaky, Malik remained steadfast in his outwardly calm appearance.

The kitchen went silent. Malik straightened himself up, placing a hand on his lower back as he did so. His face twinged as if he were in pain, but it was only for a moment.

“What,” Malik started, slow and steady, “exactly, are you implying?”

“I think if you’re asking me that question,” Ryou replied, “then you already know what I’m implying.”

1) Ahh I have been addicted to the Urusei Yatsura theme the song fucks and the opening itself is flawless, a visual love letter to a Rumic classic. Gods perfect idiots have never looked more flawless. [Here's the full version if you want it]

2) on principle I have to say Shayfer James is one of my favorite musicians right now, he's a pure fucking poet and a masterclass in Villain Songs, especially his earlier stuff - I love Counterfeit Arcade a LOT, Villainous Thing is my FAVORITE - but the song I'm picking is more recent, Good Life. It has been non-stop in my brain.

3) Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad is the title of that Cornered fic I posted, I've been listening to it nonstop the whole two months I spent writing it. It's a Meatloaf song, it's a sad love song, it's recommended to me forever now.

4) Don't ask me why Shoreline Senorita is a Zorc song. It just is. I know because I have many Zorc songs. Ask me sometime.

5) ROUND TWO OF ALIEN STAAAAAAAGGGEEE. Please Watch Alien Stage, I am begging everyone to watch Alien Stage, it's beautiful original art from the Youtube's Lesbian-Horror Retro-Style-Animation queen VIVINOS and killer-ass origioonal music to go with them.

Uhhh so I got tagged by @yuusaris in what I vaguely remember @tenderwulf tagging me in months ago and upon finding it figured out they were very similar, so, in order to avoid repeating myself—I figured I’d just combine them??? 😂😂😂

So!

Last Movie: just watched Dune today with a few friends on a call :)

Last Movie at Home: my sister made us all watch Shark Tale before she left… I forgot what an experience it was 😂

Last Series: @ninjam117 sent me .hack// as a homework assignment enrichment activity and now I remember I gotta finish it 👁👄👁

Favorite Color: right now I like purple, and my perma background fave is red :)

Sweet, Savory, or Spicy: I’ve been on a kinda sweet kick lately, but always with the eye of having a spicy aftertaste. I eat raw garlic and hot peppers for fun. I have stopped tasting jalapeño and now seek the pleasure I’m sure only a ghost pepper can provide

Craving: well now I’m craving spicy food :”0

Currently Reading: besides the fics I’m going thru (one of which is the bank man shenanigans by @millenniumringg) I’ve been going thru some of the linguistics books I got last month that’re pretty fun. I skimmed Language History, Language Change and Language Relationship: An Introduction to Historical and Comparative Linguistics and might pick that up next, or go back and finish Women, Fire, and Dangerous Things, since I left that hanging a few months ago lol (to read a different textbook I believe lmao)

Currently Working On: ah, well,

For art I was messing around with my January Ryou that I did in 2019 and 2020 to see how I’ve improved over the last two years. He’s currently looking like this:

I’m still messing around with it and idk where he’s going atm 😂😂

As for writing, the last two projects I messed around with in depth aside from duel writing were “dream loop” and “dsod fic-fic” (currently unnamed). Funnily enough, both of them came to me during the same deep dive into 2003-2004 mediaminer for ygo fic, which I just remembered now actually. LMAO 😂😂

As for tagging, uhh, I have nary a clue who’s possibly done this before. Based on the beloved movie Ghostbusters, but with a yugioh twist👻

Halloween approaches, and so does a new yugioh AU >:) For a long time I’ve dreamed of a ghostbusters AU, and now you should also dream of one because a fic (loaded with chapter art) is coming TO THE INTERNET!!!

The week of October 22nd, the fic will be posted to AO3 with updates happening sporadically leading up to Halloween! Stay tuned and watch out for the first chapter poster to be posted here on Oct. 22nd >:)
