random raihan headcanons GO

he needs glasses! and he actually wears glasses a lot outside of matches/social events bc he hates contacts... there are tons of fan pics with him or candids of him in coffee shops or whatever wearing browline or circle glasses

despite the fact that he’s got very ~masculine~ energy in matches and in the way he speaks and acts, he does a lot of photo shoots for magazines that always make him look androgynous or feminine (like, along the lines of this pic of jaden smith type of vibe)

remember the whole men in crop tops debacle of 2016 or whatever... it also happened in galar because of him

it’s not like he minds - he very much enjoys knowing that he can fit into absolutely any niche and still look good - AND it’s part of the reason why he’s the most popular gym leader

king of non-toxic masculinity. we have no choice but to stan

also, partly because of the sheer amount of publicity he chooses to do, tons upon tons of raihan fancams exist. like, instead of kpop fancams all over social media, it’s nessa and raihan fancams

raihan went through an emo phase. it’s why he gets along with piers so well and why he can apply nail polish so perfectly. it is absolutely not public knowledge and sonia occasionally blackmails him by threatening to leak the pics - she never would, but raihan certainly doesn’t realise that

raihan is also super popular abroad because his accent is so ... stereotypically ... galarian

raihan is actually a really good cook, but ... only for certain meals? in fact, he makes unbelievably good gigantamix curries, but ruins sausage curries. nobody understands how

he's one of those weirdos who has an app on his rotom phone to track how much water he drinks in a day and he actually manages to drink at least eight glasses every single day

he’s really good with the younger gym leaders - he trains a lot with bea, takes really good care of allister, and he’s, like, somehow an accidental co-dad-slash-big-brother to marnie alongside piers

he’s a big believer in not keeping his dragons cooped up in their pokeballs all the time

he trained his flygon and goodra from eggs, and it shows - he BABIES them!!! each galarian gym leader has like 500 videos on their phones of him cooing to his goodra about how well she did after a match

he also has like five billion pairs of slime-proof gloves just so he can pet her

he's pretty okay at singing but it’s only because he takes daily showers and every time he showers he just goes apeshit and starts BELTING pop songs at the top of his lungs
