Take a break from scrolling and ground yourself in the present by searching for any of the following:
- Something that’s your favorite color
- Objects with rounded shapes
- Rainbows (or rainbow-colored items)
- Something you don’t see often
- Anything you might find in nature
- Items with numbers on them
- Something related to a holiday
- Things you would find at school
- An item symbolizing good luck
- Something that you’d like to eat
- Objects that have sharp edges
- Items that you might wear
- Something that’s in your house
By looking for these things, you’re using one of your five senses to connect with the present moment. You can do this anywhere by looking around you for a specific color or shape — or come back here anytime and choose an another option from the list to guide yourself back to the present!

Nature brings serenity, peace of mind, and a calming energy. When I am out in nature, I feel very good, I believe it held me slow down and look at things more closely, it helps me notice things around me, and I am not living in my mind so much, worrying about this or that. I am just in that present moment.
