It's finally here! A while back I wrote about missing Julie and the Phantoms because Booboo Steward and Owen Patrick Joyner shared a TikTok that stirred up some Willex feels.
If you're like me and miss this show and that ship, click the link to read why we'll probably have to make peace with that TikTok as our unfinished business with Willie and Alex.
That is unless a network or streaming service doesn't swoop in and save this delightful show. Who am I to lose hope now?

Waking up in the middle of the night to their cat sitting on your chest staring at you has Julie/Bobby vibes to me lol
The first night Julie spent with Bobby was a long time coming. They'd both been feeling each other out for a good long time before they, well, felt each other up, the Flynn in the back of her mind said. It wasn't like they'd never fallen asleep on the couch together, or anything. And yeah, one time Bobby had fallen asleep in her bed while they were both studying for exams.
But this was... serious. This was a date, a real date, and then kissing, and then more. And Bobby had laced their fingers together afterwards, and breathed 'stay' so quietly she almost thought she'd been imagining it.
But she did stay, dozing off next to him, the cool breeze from the half open window playing over her bare back.
-
She woke up on her back, with a weight pressed on her chest. Bobby's arm was wrapped around her waist, but his forehead was pressed against her shoulder, so that wasn't it.
She opened her eyes, only to find two yellow ones staring right back at her.
"Waaaargh!" she garbled out, and Bobby jerked awake.
On her chest, the cat started purring.
"Alfred!" Bobby scolded, carefully pulling the cat off Julie. Thankfully Alfred went happily, and her chest, while now slightly hairy, was unharmed. "Shit, you're not allergic are you."
"You never told me you have a cat," she said, sitting up. She enjoyed the way Bobby's eyes danced over her chest, her figure, before snapping up to her face. His ears were red in the moonlight.
"I don't," he said. The cat now curled up on his lap seemed to disagree. Julie raised an eyebrow at him.
"He's not mine, I just... feed him, and stuff. And give him water, and a place to sleep." The cat nuzzled his hand. It didn't seem like a street cat. It was clean, and its fur was shiny. "And maybe I took him to the vet to get him fixed and get him his shots and I keep him indoors when it's too cold or rainy and oh shit do I have a cat?"
Julie smiled, leaning over to press a kiss against his nose. "You have a cat."
"Oh," Bobby said, looking down at where Julie was now petting Alfred. The purring increased. "Well, at least he likes you?"

It's just my dream box, okay? Whenever I get a thought, I write it down to get it out of my mind. Like lyrics? They would be if I still wrote music like I used to with my mom. Now it's just full of stuff that doesn't make me sad.

Exercise - Julie & Carrie
The things I’m writing for these prompts are getting shorter and shorter
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
Exercise was good. Exercise was something Julie really needed to do more. Still she felt nothing but regret at how she had somehow allowed Carrie to convince her to join her for a yoga class. She usually went with Willie, but he had claimed to be busy with something or another today and Carrie somehow decided that Julie would make for the best company.
“It’s fun,” Carrie said, “It’ll be relaxing.”
Julie didn’t know how she allowed Carrie to Lie to her like that.
Barely halfway through the class, and Julie had already made up her mind. Yoga wasn’t fun. It was absolute hell. The instructor was telling her to bend her body in ways she didn’t know she could be bent and she could feel muscles she didn’t know she had aching.
How did Carrie and Willie find this fun — Julie just wanted to die.
Next to her, Carrie was also following along to the workout, looking unfairly tranquil and at peace as she drew herself up for what looked like an effortless side plank. Their instructor had told them to soften their gazes. Julie was doing the exact opposite as she glared daggers at the back of Carrie’s head, trying her best to so that she didn’t flop to the floor from her side plank position like a mermaid in a desert.
They turned into a plank, and were instructed to lower themselves onto the floor. Julie tried, she did, but if at the last minute her arms gave away and she flopped, then that really wasn’t her fault. If anything, it was Carrie’s fault for dragging her to a class that was decidedly not beginner friendly.
They ended the class sitting cross legged on their mats and meditating.
Julie didn’t know until now that there was a right way to sit cross legged, but whatever it was, she was pretty sure she wasn’t doing it right. She didn’t manage to get into meditating as well, she wasn’t one to be able to quiet her mind easily.
Once everything was done and they had cleaned up and changed out of their soiled clothes (Julie didn’t realise you could get so sweaty just from doing yoga. She was learning so much today.) Carrie looked calmer than Julie had seen her all week, all smiles and calmness. Julie felt like the opposite of all that.
“So, that was fun right? Wanna join me and Willie again next time?”
Carrie smiled and Julie nearly said yes. It was only the soreness in her stomach from the session she had just endured that reminded her that this was not what she wanted for herself. Carrie pouted when she refused and Julie nearly changed her mind but no, her legs were aching and she refused to cave.
Carrie could have Willie for her next yoga session. Julie would exercise with some other activity.
