Alright I haven’t found anything online about this happening to anyone else, so I figured I’d ask here just in case:

So I have a ton of (very important to me) Minecraft singleplayer worlds on an old Mac computer (OS 10.9.5) that I want to move to our newer one (current OS). It’s a long story why but I basically can’t play them on the old computer, so I have to move them if I ever want to enter/play them again. We finally figured out exactly how you do the whole moving process, but we have a problem:

We’re currently testing it with just one world, vanilla 1.12.2 last played late 2019 (it’s been so long that I don’t know when it was first created.) We seem to have moved it just fine, but when I try to load the game in 1.12.2 to see if it worked, it just gets a blank white full-screen loading screen (no logo like it should have) and just gets stuck there (the screen isn’t frozen; you can still move the cursor.) We left it alone like that for 2 hours in case it needed time but eventually we had to stop because the computer was overheating (it’s roughly 90F/32C degrees in the room it’s in so that was expected.)

Does anyone have any idea what has caused this or how to fix it? It’s been a long time since I tried to play 1.12 but I’ve never seen it do this before.

A pizza place, a little grocery store, a bike shop, and a laundromat~ Been working on this island off and on since 2020 and I’m still not sure of the best ways to use some of Cocricot’s items, like shelves. Each one is takes up a blocks space so if you want one above a counter you then can’t put anything on the counter. So you have to have really tall walls? F💀

Random Minecraft. Despite the fact that I have been playing this game for north of 5 years now, I have never killed the Ender Dragon on any world.

Until tonight. My first achievement of 2023 is finally liberating the End.

And, to boot, I only died once! I am feeling rather accomplished right now. Heh.

I've been wondering if this is a me problem, but am I the only one frustrated by the frame/lines around the terracotta in Mizuno? Sure I've built with it before and also seen people make awesome stuff with it, but its become almost useless to me because I can't use it for texturing (great colors but can't mix it in with other blocks because of the frame), and also because it very much ruins the look of mesa-like mountains and terrain, including custom biomes. I wish I knew more about texture packs so I could remove those brown lines while maybe still keeping the Mizuno color for the blocks because they do look nice.

i started playing minecraft during beta and i honestly can't believe people Want to make their game play like that again. i keep seeing videos of mods that "make minecraft better" and it's all beta & alpha features being re-added into the game. the only thing i like about beta was the world generation because it was so fantastical.

not being able to run, stack food, explore for long periods of time without your game lagging, having a useless nether, and horrible mob AI just sounds like no fun at all. prime example of being blinded by nostalgia i think.
