well, unfortunately, one of their features is requiring an OpenGL that only exists in first world PCs, pricing out most of the world, which was already massively underrepresented in the Minecraft community.

Small house made to resemble a mid-game survival house!

This is actually for a fic that i’m working on, (linked here!) that includes a beginner builder trying to learn to become better while still staying true to the blocks he loves!

The floor is made of stripped oak logs, along with oak trapdoor and door features. The walls are cobble and mossy cobble, with the moss crawling up from the grass, and leaking down from the moss roof, whihc has azaleas, grass, and flowers. The corners of the exteriors are shaped by walls, giving the building less of a rectangular look.

The interior is stocked with all a survival player could ask for; storage, an enchanting library, a bed, furnaces, and some lovely indoor plants. A jukebox sits next to the pile of barrels.

i love this build, and i wish that i had built things more like this when i was into survival gameplay!

Copper Run

Tap, tap, tap, his walking stick went on the cavern floor. He tried to avoid the little puddles and their rings of mud as much as possible, but the stick still caught one occasionally.

Into the cave, four steps, five. The blue flame of the lantern glistened against the faint furring on the back of his hand. The panes of the lantern glistened too. He had made it six sided out of good iron, a little nod to the bees that had given their scented wax for the candle. But iron was easier, he was after ruddy copper. For whatever reason it took something a little softer to make the fine points of a spyglass. No, that was a glow fungus. That, wan faint glint of orange? his eyes strained and he moved forward, a paw slipping into the slick mud. No just a glow berry among the ferns. Maidenhair ferns hung from the ceiling. The dimness felt even greyer against the green.

Something soft skittered agains his hands, a small squeeking. Maybe one of the little sentient spiderlings that lived down here. His heartbeat raced, at least it was just that, just mice and spiders. The walls were smooth and shiny this deep. Too deep, what lived there…

The lights went out. After a while, there was a soft breath against his neck. He let out a sigh of relief, the monsters were supposed to be quite tall, not the size of hunched humanoid. Fur brushed his back. "Hiding from the beast too, little critter?" A snuffle was the reply.

He fiddled with a fern, counting the little maidenhair leaves, sixty… The darkness lifted, his lantern sprung up azure-bright.

His hand still rested atop where the "critter's" head had been, time to see it's height. Beneath his hand the edge of the cliff sunk down, down, into shadow. He drew a shaky breath. His walking staff was gone, in it's place was a faintly glowing blue jewel.

Anyone know a Minecraft 1.18 LP with pretty builds that has villagers in proper houses instead of cells in a farm or trading hall? They’re supposed to be people, and the optimal gameplay treats them in ways I find uncomfortable. I’d most prefer the kind of LP with build lore (or at least themed areas), but as long as it looks nice I’d be happy
