the main building and layout were taken from an old tutorial by pixlriffs; cit decorations were done by myself.

Sneak-peak of a village I'm working on, deep in the bayou. I enjoy building in this rustic, more messy style, even though I don't get to do it often. It's good to be back!

KoM 47 - The Old Oak Inn
It’s been a while since the last post, so small update first.
I have a very nice new computer. I also got a CIT pack installed. I have not been making a lot of progress lately on the project as I’m using my new computer to really enjoy Warhammer 3, but when I do play Minecraft, I have been working on this Inn and the surrounding fields. Part of me wants to take a huge step away from this kingdom and start another one in a different style somewhere else on the map. I’m thinking of an aesthetic that combines the look of Dishonored 2, but with the vibrant and positive vibes and colors of Van Gogh landscape paintings (it’s basically going to be the landscape of the south of France, but the architecture of sorta 1800s Portugal/Cuba). I’ve been getting really into Van Gogh lately and have started oil painting, and it’s been making me want to replicate the energy his paintings give, but in Minecraft.
The main feature of this post is the Old Oak Inn. It’s a very cozy place located near the borders of the Kingdom, surrounded by farms and wheat fields (in progress). It is the perfect place for travelers coming into the Kingdom to stop and rest before moving onto the city.
With the help of Mizuno’s CIT I was able to make a very nice kitchen area, and a dining room. Although, I couldn’t find any chair CITs, it seems ghoulcraft isn’t a thing anymore, which kinda really sucks because this pack stuff really confuses me.
The Inn has three floors. The first floor is the kitchen and common room, The second floor is the rooms for rent, and the third floor is a reading area because this is cottagecore Minecraft. There is also a small stable for horses to stay in while travelers rest here. The inspiration for this was the stereotypical fantasy inn at the cross-roads trope, except as of now, only one of the roads outside this inn lead somewhere. The Inn is surrounded by numerous farms, all growing wheat to feed the Kingdom. There are also plenty of large trees to shade the roads (somebody figured out how to use world edit to make trees...) and add a bit of wilderness to the area, which is something every Minecraft cottagecore build needs.
