Watching Grian’s EVO series for the first time and it is so amusing for three reasons

He keeps pranking and wreaking havoc on everyone else on the server but is literally the surprised pikachu meme every time someone pranks him back it’s like “well well well if it isn’t the consequences of my own actions”

I genuinely can’t tell if he simply Doesn’t Know common Minecraft techniques because he hadn’t played survival in like 500 years at that point, or if he actually invented/discovered said techniques because this series was like 6 years ago

So he’s just always been Like That, huh?

Also sometimes he curses and lectures the audience on their bad internet etiquette it’s very fun

guys i’ve started to dream about evo..

this hyperfixation isn’t going away ever probably

here’s the dream if anyone want to know

so it started off with me watching Grian streaming on hermitcraft

but instead of me on my computer or something, i just was grian (like i was seeing out his eyes and not on a screen, but i didn’t have any control and was still just apart of chat)

and instead of the scene looking like minecraft, it’s was like drawn, like a mix of @kitsuneisi on here’s art style and ezzriin on youtube’s art style

so basically how it started was grian was on hermitcraft flying somewhere and being very vague about where he was going

like it was clear he was doing lore, but he was just flying while talking to chat

then chat started to spam evo symbols, and saying this was related to evo somehow

and then Grian went like ‘guys this has nothing to do with evo, these are two entirely different servers and that was a long time ago’

and i remember thinking ‘thats crazy that he actually mentioned evo’

then grian flew right to the Grian empire/his main base for most of evo

then he was talking and it was as if he didn’t remember evo or the watchers that much

like he looked at the evo symbol and didn’t know what it was, or where the entire base had come from kinda stuff

but he was also like afraid, he didn’t stay long and left kinda in a rush

the he landed in a jungle temple that was like open at the top and inside was an end portal

and that’s when the perspective shifted

the i was no longer in chat and seeing his pov, i was like spectating him in 3rd person

and his skin had changed to his evo/link skin

he was like crouched over the portal looking on for a moment

then the perspective changed back to first person

and i heard the watchers say from the portal ‘you will always be one of us’ before a hand reached out of the portal and pulled grian into it

then i woke up lol

but yeah, i might think about evo too much

Convex but in Evo. No, I don't have any ideas beyond that, and I have no clue how that would work since Evo started on October 2017 aka in the middle of hermitcraft season 5 aka a few days before convex's 7th prank. I thought maybe it could be after s5 and before s6 but realized that both seasons are just a few days apart and by that point Evo had slowed down significantly. But imagine that at some point, back when the server was more active, they showed up. Could you imagine.

I have no idea how convex would go from Hermitcraft to Evo, but please. It would be so funny. I know vexes weren't a thing back in Evo versions so they wouldn't be able to wear their vex masks but. Pretend for a second. Pretend for a second that that doesn't matter and yes I know they wouldn't be able to fly either (not much of a change, considering Scar's horrible ping for flying- headcanon he's got. Some wing disability. Not sure what yet) but please. Consider the pranks. I know they'd have less materials to work with but please. I can't be the only one with this vision. I feel cursed. This is what watching Scar's S5 does to a person.

Also, the evolutioners needed someone else to keep them on their toes besides the Watchers. The Watchers liked to, well, watch and judge their actions, maybe a prank here and there if they deemed it necessary, but Convex? That's not how convex works. I mean yeah if you wrong them, you immediately go to their pranks book, but they don't need a reason to strike. Or they make up a reason altogether. That would've brought some much-needed chaos into the evolutioners' lives.

Also I have no idea how the Watchers would feel about them lmao. A part of me thinks they'd be a bit antagonistic towards them (like they were to Grian) but maybe they'd grow fond of them because they're really not bad people outside of their masks. Idk. I just think that there's so much to be explored with this concept.

Also, I'd love to see them interact with the people there. I have a feeling they'd develop a friendly rivalry with the Property Police. I think the PP would start it, but now Convex is Definitely not backing down.

Imagine Pearl appears later and finds a world with a bunch of untouchable pranks around (oh, convex would retaliate against Grian everytime he takes down their pranks) and some shoddy attempts at mimicking vex banners back when such a thing didn't exist yet. She'd be confused, but I can't help but feel she'd become quick allies with them. She'd still join Grian's Empire, but she'd help with the pranks on G. An honorary vex.

OKAY, can we talk about watcher!grian? i really wanna talk about watcher!grian + hermit!grian for some reason.

SO, for like the last couple years i’ve been seeing fanart and things of Grian if he was still linked to the watchers in some way, and how certain things keep happening because of said watcher stuff.

now I initially thought it was a neat concept, but was huge copium on the fanbases side.

BUT I WAS WRONG??

So in season 9, a couple things have happened. For starters, Grian confirmed the existence of other universes! which is kind of a big deallll. But y’know, it could just be a coincidence, right? surely it’s just an oddly convenient thing to confirm, right??

NOPE.

Not only is the colour symbolism for the rift (it being purple) a major thing, because the rift is the link between other universes, and purple has been heavily linked to watchers in the past.

But GRIAN HIMSELF uploaded ANOTHER VIDEO about Minecraft Beta! again, could be coincidence, BUT LIKKEEEE... this man has done beta content before. It could be for some extra views n things (which fair enough bc its fun to do that) but like, HE MENTIONS EVO! HE LITTERALY HAS A WATCHER SYMBOL IN THE VIDEO JUST IN THE BACKGROUND! and HE PLAYS THE LIL TUNE HE DID FOR EVO!

for those who don’t know. (somehow). Evo is a minecraft series Grian started with a bunch of other creators around 5 years ago. The goal was to start from one of the oldest versions of the game, and slowly update as the series progressed. Finding “watcher” puzzles and clues before eventually ‘unlocking’ the next update. Watchers are basically the gods of the world, with the power to update and things, and build structures no survival player could.

SO WHY, WOULD THE GRAIN MAN HIMSELF, HINT FOR PEOPLE TO WATCH IT 5 YEARS LATER, AND HAVE HEAVY FORESHADOWING RELATING TO WATCHER!GRIAN!?

yeah. So basically in conclusion. Grian knows. He’s not dumb, he knows exactly what he’s doing here. And it could all be just to make his viewers go insane and then lead to nothing, making this post pointless. But alas, i have joined the copium gang, which is starting to seem more feasable than copium now.

on twitter (eviixisuma) ive been obsessing iver a property police brothers au that my friend (thirdiife) made . during this i accidentally thought of the most horrific angst.

backstory- martyn is 21 and jimmy is 14, martyn is off leaving to Evo, and jimmy BEGS to go with, not wanting ti be alone. he’d be fine. him and his brother were orphanced when martyn was 12 and he was 5, everything would be fine. until it wasnt.

watchers, listeners, these beings nibidy had seen for many millennium were shiwing uo and they were. mad, to say the least. everyone fled the server. jimmy was caught under a wooden building falling- nobody helped him. jimmy crawled out and saw a barren wasteland- nobody was there with him. jimmy found the portal- used. he heard something falling behind him which knocked him diwn and felt like daggers cut through his back- but it didnt his him- it didnt his body.

wings. he had beeb turned into a listener.

back home, martyn found an old ender porter. it’d been a few months since evo. he had reunited with bigb and netty and grian- no sign of jimmy. grian and pearl were off on their own adventure for their own server, bigb too, and none of them had seen martyns brother.

it had only been a year. jimmy was 15. had martyn left his 15 year old brother to die?

he jolted as he heard a trap door- for the ender porter- activate. one of his dogs had pushed it. before his eyes the purple glow of an endermans teleport shone bright.

his brother knelt before him. long, scraggly blonde hair that was ince short and pristine, his plait far too overgrown and huge neon green wings pertruded from his back and face. gunk was stuck in them, he hadnt known how to preen, let alone what preening was.

his hands moved across the fimiliar floor of his childhood home. martyn saw drops of water fall from where he assumed his brithers eyes to be. martyn stood still abd desolate. jimmy stood up tall.

jimmy thrned to look at his ‘brother’- he didnt think martyn was worthy of his familial title. what were once besutiful pale blue eyes were now a deep, brooding dark blue with neon green swirls in the middle. martyn hadnt even noticed the neon green streaked pattern in his brothers hair.

“you. you left- you left me,” jimmys voice cracked and wobbled. it was deeper, now, and he had small patches of facial hair. “you left me to die. i- you- you monster.” jimmy spoke, eyes red and puffy. he had cried all day, every day, for so long.

“i thiught you had died! i’m beyond happy youre okay!” martyn exclaimed, his eyes watering up as he forced a sad smile.

“no. no you dint get that. you never cared, did you?”

“..what?”

“you forgot me. and left me, you encouraged your friends to leave over your damn kid brother!”

“i hasnt realized you werent there, its not my fault!”

“the fault is that you forgot.”

“…”

martyn stood silent. jimmy continued.

“if you had thought to thrn around, youd see me. i broke my arm and i got stuck under a pile of wood. it was your negligence thag did this.”

martyn didnt feel guilty.

he didnt know why.

he was guilty.

why didnt he feel guilty?

“maybe youre just,” martyn stepped closer, “being ungrateful. ive done everything for you- i was robbed of my childhood because of you, you’ve no right to accuse me of neglecting you, james.”

it had been years since someone said his name.

his full name.

jimmy threw his fist at martyns face.
