The Lord of the Rings - Helm's Deep
After working solely on long term, multi-part builds, I decided to do my first short term, one post build, for this blog. Short term became several weeks due to large amounts of Total War Warhammer 3 and having a job, but I got it done eventually.
The build I chose was the fortress of Helm's Deep from The Lord of the Rings franchise. This castle takes center stage in the second movie of the trilogy and is the setting for what is probably the greatest fantasy battle ever put on screen, and I don't care what those hacks who made Game of Thrones say.
The main reference I used for this was the collectible model that Weta Workshop made of the castle. It is a true work of art, (check out their website for pics of the model and a bunch of other expensive stuff) and was invaluable for this project. I even made my build a bit like a collectible diorama, with the mountains and landscaping cut off to focus the attention on the castle itself. Unlike the model, my build does not feature any parts of the glittering caves beneath the castle as I just didn't want to spend my free time building caves.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with how this build turned out, and I may be looking back to Middle Earth for more one off builds to make for this blog, *cough* Rivendell *cough*, so maybe check back in several months for that.

hs kids' first day on the earth c minecraft survival server
jake: starts digging straight down as soon as he spawns. keeps digging. keeps digging. keeps digging. no one ever sees him again
jane: enters ready to get everyone organized. half the server immediately runs off doing their own thing. stops the remaining crew before they wander off so they can start building a base before it turns to night. gives everyone roles and then has to go afk because she was on her lunch break and is actually playing minecraft on her company computer. comes back hours later and finds the entire server on fire.
karkat: gets a stone hoe and some wheat seeds thrown at him and is told to set up a wheat farm. nods even though he's never played minecraft before and doesn't know how. clicks the ground with the hoe and it seems to do something so he does that for a while. dave comes over and asks him why he's been just plowing the ground in one really long straight line. tells him to fuck off so he does. wishes he hadn't when he realizes he could've asked him for help. figures out that if you click on the ground with the seed it plants it and decides he's actually a minecraft genius and doesn't need anybody's help at all. dusts his hands off proud of the work he's done and then goes to try to find kanaya.
kanaya: is given a stone axe and is told to chop down some wood for the houses. does and gives roxy some stacks and goes to chop down some more wood because she honestly finds it kind of therapeutic. ends up clearing an entire mountain. night comes and mobs start sprouting up and she chops them down too. is surrounded by fields of floating rotten flesh and bones and cursed armor when suddenly she sees flames in the distance near the base. starts marching down there with the grim resolution of an executioner, ready to now start chopping some necks.
terezi: learns how to craft a flint and steel and discovers the magic of fire. laughs maniacally as she starts burning cows she runs into and laughs even more when she discovers they drop cooked meat. wants to find more things to burn. finds a raider's base and the sound of the wood torching up into flames does something to her and she starts setting fire to the entire forest. stumbles across the base. sets fire to one of the buildings. karkat comes over and yells and asks what the fuck she's doing. sets karkat on fire. laughs as she watches him run in circles not knowing how to stop the flames. suddenly gets murked by kanaya who's sneaked up behind her, and continues being hunted down by her as she respawns for the rest of the night.
jade: wanders off and finds a cute little village. decides that she's adopting it now. places some flowers she's picked along the way around to make it look nice and pretty. tames and places some cats around the perimeter and puts some torches nearby to keep away mobs. builds a water fountain in the middle of the town square. waves goodbye to go find some wolves to tame and promises that she'll be back.
dave: builds elaborately detailed dirt penises all over the farm while karkat works and negs him. karkat tells him to fuck off and go do something useful. fucks off accordingly and finds jade's village. raids everything from the chests and all the crops. puts dirt dicks all over the place. kills the cats for string and free exp. kills some sheep and creates beds and pushes some of the villagers inside a shitty little acacia building he made with a sign on it saying "breeding pen". throws some potatoes at them and then blocks up the entrance. turns around and immediately gets blown up by a creeper.
calliope: is the only one given op privileges as she is the only one that everyone can trust to have it. decides she wants to build a big cool glass castle in the sky. has just finished building the base when jade types in chat that whoever destroyed her village is going to pay. types "oh no!!!" in the chat. gets a dm from dave asking her for sanctuary because jade is going to KILL him. remembers that he's made NFTs. sends jade screenshots of the exact incriminating parts in the server log and happily continues building her castle.
rose: has debug screen turned on. immediately crafts several stone axes. runs off to the nearby desert and finds a desert temple and raids it, crafting an iron bucket. fills it with water and goes to a lava pool and builds a nether portal. enters the nether. speed bridges over to a nether fortress and makes a wither skeleton farm and proceeds to grind for ~3-4 hours. collects enough wither skulls. readies her bow and summons the wither and starts using its detonating blasts to mine down for ancient debris.
roxy: tried to convince everybody at the beginning to download 727378282 mods to make the server "more FUN!!". was unsuccessful. gets told to make some houses and beds for the base so she does. looks for other things to do and finds karkat's wheat farm and is flabbergasted. why is it in one long straight line. there isn't even any water. where is the water? tells john to go get her some redstone while she fixes it up so she can automate it.
john: not sure what to do. roxy tells him to start mining for redstone ("its red and shiny lol you wont have to dig that far"). digs straight down into a cave. realizes he forgot to get wood but decides to go on anyway. uses up all his stone pickaxes mining copper because he doesn't know what it is and it looks cool. hits a slime and it divides into more slimes and he freaks out and runs away with two hearts. keeps running and finds a door in the side of the cave wall. opens it. wanders around in a cool maze and then enters a weird room with some yellow and green chest like boxes. suddenly gets attacked by a little bug making a screechy sound and panics and dies.
dirk: rounds up some animals into pens for the base and then busts out a boat and a fishing pole to try to get them a book of mending. is chilling in the middle of the ocean and then sees that dave gets blown up by a creeper in chat. asks if he's okay and if he needs someone to come over. sees that karkat got killed by terezi. sees that terezi got killed by kanaya. asks what is going on. is now rowing back towards base. jade types that her village has been destroyed. jane has logged on and is asking why the entire base is on fire. is crafting buckets and filling them with water. sees that rose got an achievement for summoning the wither. texts her "Dude did you just summon the Wither???". rose ominously replies "I've got it handled." sees john got killed by a silverfish and roxy asking when the hell john found the stronghold. jake gets a cheating death with a totem of undying achievement. proceeds to have a total aneurysm.

This may be a bit of a silly question but I’m trying to research this for a fanclan and I cannot make a fox’s tail out of the non twoleg workings
So how would you/Windclan go about reinforcing the tunnels? Used to think it was just ‘put a thick branch up there and every few fox lengths, it’ll support all that’ and that doesn’t seem quite right anymore. Please and thank you 🐈‍⬛
I'm gonna try and keep this reply simple and not get into the in-depth mechanics of digging holes, that's a post for some other time and I'd have to talk about depth and learn math and shit
So very simply putting it, usually, you would naturally dig square tunnels, and this is where all the tension of digging comes from. See, a square tunnel is really bad for physically holding things up, so beams are there to help.
Think about a tunnel kind of like building a bridge. The tunnel is a structure that needs to hold up the dirt above it. Really, functionally think about how many bridges are truly flat; it's not many! You want Arches.
And, it just so happens, a tunnel ALSO wants to be an arch. I'm not sure if I'm explaining this well so I drew a little diagram of a cave-in;

Most cave-ins aren't the ENTIRE tunnel collapsing, it's the part of the tunnel that WANTS to be arch. Arches good. Arches are physically the best way for holding things up. Problem is that you can't dig like that without dropping however many pounds of earth on yourself.
So really, what you want is a beam, not just a stick in the middle of the hole. You want to put a beam from wall to wall, supported by two columns beneath. Like minecraft.
Other various things;
Older tunnels are, actually, usually more structurally sound. There's been more time for them to "stabilize."
The deeper the tunnel, the more stable. This is because the earth above the tunnel is packed in better. You do NOT want to open up a staircase downwards like minecraft, the entrance will COLLAPSE.
However, naturally, a collapse in a deeper tunnel is more deadly and severe for obvious reasons.
Just to state the obvious, sand bad. You do not want to dig in sand. Sand Bad.
Canon vastly overstates the severity of shallow tunnel collapses. Cats will die in less than a foot of dirt :/ There's this part in DOTC where Jagged Peak activates a quicktime event and a burrow collapses on him and it was so profoundly stupid it's been in my head ever since
suffocating in an old animal burrow... girl... do you think rabbits are constantly dying in collapses? genuinely? In soft soil?
Gray Wing is like, "you almost out bro?" and Jaggy-P is like, "ya im coming" and then WHOMP. DIRT. thats not how this works thats not how any of this works
And as a final note... the problems with WC's portrayals of shitty parents aside, it actually makes perfect sense that Tallpaw would think his father Sandgorse is a lunatic for feeling safe with going right back in after a collapse. Tallpaw doesn't know that some kinds of cave-ins actually make the tunnel more safe, but Sandgorse, an experienced digger, would.
(unfortunately the writers don't know this. but i do.)

Fic idea: post demigods and magicians crossover book, they create a minecraft server together. also carter is really good at minecraft for some reason lmao. and and they get into the wildest shenanigans there like can you even imagine the mods they would put in for the server? i bet percy would look for one where there are sailboats. somehow the grass is pink. sadie digs a hole into the middle of the earth. annabeth creates a 1:1 parthenon old athens replica bc why not.

The very long post of Endermen anatomy in my mind
ok, first off there’s four main Endermen.
Northern (The end)
Middle/Earthen (Overworld/earth (this is where most subspecies would be))
Southern (Nether)
Farlanders (Farland endermen :D)
Stuff like height, eye color, snout shape, horns, teleportation distance, etc would be different depending on where the enderman is from and who the parents are. Albinism can also be a bit more common depending on which enderman it is.
When it comes to teleporting, I think each different endermen has a different distance they can teleport and the amount of times they can do it rapidly. All endermen have these three slits on each side of the neck called ‘vents’ and those open when they teleport or if they’re exhausted. It’s like a magic exhaust pipe and that’s where the little colorful particles come from. Particles usually follow around the individual and fade away if they don’t teleport for a while. Chorus fruit is a good source of energy for teleporting and if eaten just before teleporting, can give a little extra distance.
What else is a broad trait for them uhh
oh, eye color also goes with blood, flesh, guts, in the mouth and stuff (blush as well)
Northern Endermen
The end seems like it would be really cold. No weather or wind, just cold. So endermen have a lot of fur, thick fur and maybe different coat types (wavy, curly, coarse, soft etc).
First off, I think the end dragon and endermen would be like a beehive kinda system. So the dragon would be their leader. Every 500 years or so, the dragon flies off to a secluded area and lays eggs. Returns and then the endermen that are already there take care of the eggs til they hatch (it can take a few weeks all the way up to a decade). Eggs are translucent and the color of the egg is what their eye color will be. They’re a bit bigger than a watermelon.
Kits have floppy ears when born and some will have round horn nubs already growing. It’s not super rare, but still it’s uncommon for an albino enderman to hatch. (Ex: Indie :D)
Northern endermen have paws. Big paws, very soft :], but really sharp claws and rough, thick paw pads. Feet are two-toed with sharp claws. The snout shape is kinda boxy?

Northern enderman have broad, long tails for balance AND for fighting (whack em :P). Horns are like Indie’s horns, long and smooth and simple, but some can be born with one horn or have an extra set of horns. Some horns can grow and end up growing into each other. Ears can be like Indie’s, but can look like goat or cow ears. The vents on northern endermen aren’t usually visible due to their fur, but if one overworks themself and teleports too much, the particles that blow out can cause the fur to move and expose the vents. They can teleport a pretty good distance (around the same distance as Endermen in Minecraft) and can teleport repeatedly ten to fifteen times before it starts to tire or hurt them.
Eye color ranges from bluish purples all the way to purple-magenta and can be any shades between that. Pupils are like cat pupils.
Scarring starts out as the color of the blood but ends up fading to black like the rest of the skin. Albino endermen’s scars fade to pale or dark grey
Scars from water don’t fade. Ever. (Most that’ll happen is that the color will turn a bit pale, but it won’t fade to black like normal scars)
oh shit I should put this somewhere, they do have sharp teeth, but also incisors since the only source of food is chorus fruit in the end. So yeah, they could eat meat, there’s just nothing around for them to eat that’s alive (aside from endermites). So the sharp teeth would be mainly for fighting.
I like to think that endermites are considered a rare treat and that’s why endermen are so quick to murder the little bugs. It’s funny to me.
They’re pretty chill, a player could barter and trade with them as long as they don’t look em in the eyes.
Last thing, there are three different kinds of northern endermen.
Standard: Just an enderman. Like a worker bee in a way. These guys would be the ones you see just roaming around the End. Body type can vary greatly.
Guard: Larger, bulkier and a bit more aggressive. These guys would stand around the little portal that the end dragon egg sits on. There’s four there at any time (unless one is killed). They also have a higher chance to have four arms. Larger snouts and more canines than usual. Paws are larger as well. They can hold their ground really well and very rarely move from their spot guarding the end dragon egg. Eye color is on the warmer side of the spectrum.
Falcon: These guys would be in the end ships. I think they’d run the ships and guard the loot in the chests. A couple weeks after hatching, they’re given a pair of elytra that kinda just fuses to their back after a year or two (I haven’t figure out how yet, so the excuse is ✨magic✨) They’re thinner and lighter so they can go faster and also have four arms more often. Excellent fighting skills and good accuracy when trying to hit a target. Paws are more like a hand-paw fusion than just paws so they can handle weapons with more grace. Eye color is on the cooler side of the spectrum and albinos’ can end up having pale lavender to teal eyes.
The eldest endermen are often the ones in charge of the rest. Some aren’t the best though and don’t really take into consideration what the entire population wants or needs and will even ignore any they don’t like (Ex. Indie). They show blatant favoritism towards individuals in groups they’re in charge of and often end up leaving the members within the groups to help and teach the ones that aren’t as liked.
Earth Endermen
Alright, these guys vary a lot because of the biomes they live in and the climate. So one that lives in a tundra would look a lot different from one that lives in a mesa biome or the desert. Fur patterns aren’t uncommon either. All endermen in the overworld have fur though, it’ll just be different lengths and types depending on what area they live in. Kits all have floppy ears that may or may not stiffen up as they get older (depends on parents’ genes). Horns, teeth arrangement, eye color, snout shape, ears and tail type all vary depending on the biome and general climate, but there are a few things that stay the same.
At least two horns
Blood, guts, inner mouth, vents and eyes are all the same color (heterochromia is addressed further down)
Canines no matter what (at least four, two on top row two on bottom row)
Three vents on each side of the neck
Paw pads
Fur
Some endermen that live near water or an environment with rainy weather have a higher resistance to water and can even stay in water for a certain amount of time (can’t injest it though, that’s a death sentence).
There’s also a whole other subspecies that’s semi aquatic. They have a very high tolerance to water, but will still die if they stay in it too long. Diet consists of fish and shellfish. Body expels any water accidentally swallowed through the vents.
Southern Endermen
My favorite of them all, southern endermen live in the nether! They can either have really really short fur (almost like peach fuzz but not quite) or scales. Sometimes one is born with neither, leaving them with just skin, it leaves them vulnerable though, like a scaleless snake. And sometimes, when scales shed, they have a chance to grow back gold, it’s like a freckle or a beauty mark :). Southern endermen are more reptilian than the rest. Their snout shape is more like a snake’s (wide and kinda flat) and the vents on their neck are almost always visible. Teeth are mostly made up of canines and they’re black!

Necks are longer so they can snap at stuff and have a further reach. Paws are more like a hand-paw fusion and have long claws on the ends. Horns aren’t super long but they are sharp and there’s usually more than two, often growing in rows. Ears are shorter and pointed. Some can have more animal like ears though. Eye color ranges from magenta to reds of any shades (the exception being endermen that live in the warped forest, they have turquoise eyes), often having little flecks of gold in the eyes. Pupils have tapetum lucidum (the shiny over it when light shines over the eyes). They also have fire/heat resistance to an extent. So if one were to touch lava by accident, it wouldn’t hurt as long as they take their hand out within the next few seconds.
Hands and feet are larger and wider, which helps when walking across soul sand valleys. Tails can have spines along the top (like a croc or gator) that travel up the spine as well. The underbelly has the softest scales.
Also teleportation distance is pretty short, maybe a meter or two, but they can repeatedly teleport a lot more times than the other endermen species (thirty times or more). Afterwards they get really tired though, kinda loopy and giggly as well if they push themselves for too long.
Kits with scales are very vulnerable for the first two to three years of their life while their scales harden. They’re also very bony and lanky lookin, like a calf or foal. Walk funny, look funny, act funny (love my lanky little babies, I need to draw them). Ears are floppy as always.
(Most) Southern endermen live in packs. Could be as small as five or as large as twenty, sometimes they travel alone, but often don’t last long. Pack mates are super close, they roughhouse and spar and annoy older pack members (harmlessly tho). Younger members often go out to hunt and forage for mushrooms and nether wart and other plants and stuff. There’s always one older enderman that is established as the one in charge of the younger ones. They end up teaching kits how to fight and hunt and other neat tricks they’ve learned. And then the rest of the older pack members work as the parents and healers. Some might also dabble in potion-making if they can get their hands on the right materials.
They don’t like piglins. Like, at all. Go out of their way to inconvenience any piglins near their territory. They don’t like players that much either, but kinda in the way a goose doesn’t like people. They’ll keep their distance and only attack if the player keeps pestering them in some way.
Farlanders
Very tall, like really really tall, almost twenty feet but they can definitely get taller. The entire population is white and they have fur of varying lengths.
There’s not a lot known about farland endermen, but they are known for being able to teleport miles at a time. They’re often very lanky and stare off into the distance, which gives them an unsettling feeling. Horns can become very intricate and complex, but some either have normal horns or don’t grow any at all. Eye color can range from bright green to teal and cyan. Snout shape is a bit more beak like, not as broad and boxy. And the teeth are mostly canines. Vents are always visible and so many particles blow out after a single teleportation that it almost creates a colored fog around the individual that teleported. Ear shape is more of an animal’s ear, like a cow, goat, deer and sometimes rabbit ears. Paws are very soft and they don’t have paw pads. Feet are also like a northern enderman’s feet, two-toed and clawed. Tail is often really long and thin.
They’re not the best fighters, since they’d rather teleport away than fight, but it’s already hard enough to fight them due to their large size. And they travel alone, sometimes bumping into another endermen, talking for a minute or two before going back to whatever they were doing previously. When it comes to meeting other things (like people), they get really awkward and might just teleport away mid-conversation.
Kits are around three feet tall when they first hatch, floppy eared with a lot of fur to stay warm.
alright, that’s all I have for each enderman species (species?) there are a few other things that I didn’t know where to put so it’s going at the end
If an enderman has heterochromia, two things might happen. The two colors that the eyes are will blend and that’s what the color of blood and guts and other stuff will be. Or the insides will just be one of the eye colors.
If a flask of dragon’s breath is consumed by an enderman, it acts as a plasma blast (like toothless). The blast can be stored until the enderman wants to use it and if they consume multiple bottles it stacks up. Plasma color is the same as eye color.
All northern endermen born from the same dragon are related, but there are other super-far-away islands that have a different dragon with different endermen.
Hybrid endermen exist
When an enderman dies, their body fades and what’s left is an enderpearl (so if the body doesn’t fade, they aren’t dead)
for shits and giggles, all endermen have that same thing cats have, where if you pinch the back of their neck, they get really calm and immobile (this works well with southern endermen if you catch them off guard)

One of his employees died so he found her daughter and raised her. Survived for a while. Is supposed to be the protagonist lol. Wholesome grandpa

Fantine:
My poor girl deserved the world. Her bf got her pregnant and fled :(. She gave Cosette over to some strangers to raise her while she worked in a nearby town, sending them money for Cosette's expenses. That's a no no there but ok. Gets fired, becomes a prostitute, dies. OH yeah I can do that! I'll even get needlessly detailed about their history too.
My sona's lore is that they're supposed to be a drawing brought to life, jumping from story to story and inserting themself into different worlds. It's supposed to reflect my habit of. uh. making a lot of self-inserts in my free time. But they're always overthinking plotlines and making sure their presence makes sense. That's why most of my self-insert drafts have pages upon pages of writing and lore.
Their base form is Yogurt (on the left). The yo-yo is a staple they've had since I was uhhhhh 15 (which was when I drew the one on the right).

ANYWAY Yogurt has a lot of different forms and names they take when jumping into different worlds so that their presence doesn't seem out of place.
There's H00P-5, who fits into dystopian or more scientific stories. They're my Minecraft skin, and their typical story is that they're an alien sent from a space hivemind to study worlds for expansion (left and middle). Sometimes they're just a weird radiated being with no alien background (right).

There's Mage (or Ethan), my homestuck kid. They're a Mage of Hope from a glitched session where the White Queen ended up being the antagonist. In my head the world of BNHA is Mage's original Earth and the reckoning never happened, with Nezu as the first guardian. I put way too much thought into it. They're also the only one that has a D&D counterpart (right).

The rest are story specific. There's obviously Staff, fnaf:sb self insert that I ship with Vanny. There's a Danganronpa lucky student I don't really use (I think her name was Shizuka Hanikamiya? *sees Cybertron's horrible caste system and Energon being hidden off planet in various continuities while diving through Transformers lore*
This gives me ideas about a hidden community of Cybertronians living on a different planet like Earth. When a place has a system similar to Cybertron in order, there are always going to be people who rather leave than deal with it. Everyone being careful about their activity to not draw suspicion.
If a large group plans to leave whether altogether or separate times is gonna require some strategizing especially if it includes a Cityformer. Supplies, patrol schedules, escape routes, destination, etc. After all I don't think the system would be so keen about deserters.
Leaving Cybertron is probably a big fat middle finger to them especially if it causes even more citizens to follow said lead. A few workers won't be an issue since they can replaced. It's only in larger amounts that causes production to slow down is when you got a serious problem.
A bigger pain in the ass if those who leave either have precious resources or someone with higher status/knowledge. You don't want the universe to get ahold of your gold and dirty laundry. The consequences for capture would be very nasty.
Once our Cybertronian immigrants reach their destination then it's all about setting up a place to live. Although there are chances a planet inhabitant would get involved but negotiations can lead to some pretty good boons. Natives know the land, its dangers, gifts and how to use it to their own advantage.
Once it's all set up then rules would be made to benefit everyone than just bring some order. Any newcomers can join the community and possibly help it expand. It would no doubt remain neutral ground especially if word about the civil war reaches them. Everyone left so they wouldn't have to deal with the possible outcome and rather it stay that way.
A hidden Cybertronian community definitely has great potential for shenanigans especially if involves any Transformersverse or continuity. A slice of life mixed with worldbuilding and maybe some action sprinkle in from time to time. Like Minecraft or Animal Crossing.

clark kent is a very silly man. the appeal of being just a guy but just a guy who has been given a set of tools that no one else on earth has available. imagine if you grew up with the lack of constraints offered by gmod or minecraft godmode in your daily life. imagine how that would impact your problem solving skills and your way of interacting with this world. with this in mind i watch clark kent decide that he will solve a problem by pretending to be a statue that has come to life in the middle of a public park and i think yeah. yeah that would be the obvious solution to you huh

Zethafree, Names, and Philza
So I've had the dregs of a constructed language haunting me for the last... ten years or so, and usually the way I get anything done is by rotating blorbos in my mind with it, so I have decided to construct a Quackity SMP AU with it for reasons that will hopefully be obvious at the end of this post.
Firstly, I've actually got a plot thread I can pull up again. According to my ideas document, I first cast a QSMP-in-space setting in May! I just hadn't quite figured out how to reconcile "QSMP is about Many Different Languages" with "I speak. One (and can curse in many now, thank you Roier)." How do you depict multiple alien languages?
You come up with some words, and some other words, and decide which ones go to which language, and then corespond those to the languages spoken on the QSMP. I have one started! It is called Zethafree, and most of the words currently in it are "things important to a middle schooler writing fantasy." I cannot find a word for hello but there is a word for vampire. There are also some words that sound a hell of a lot like parts of Philza's name, though, and that leads us into the actual reason I started this post.
The first pair is 'Fe' and 'Lza', 'soul' and 'trick', which is a pretty funny concept, actually, here's the Angel of Death, his public name is Soul-trick. Edgy birb. I could probably construct a narrative where that is the meaning of his name. But the other pair of words is a lot more fitting: "Felz", meaning "red", and "-za", which when used as a suffix is to indicate rank, specifically as part of the ruling family but not the ruler or the heir. Like the queen, the crown prince's younger brothers, or the sibling of the king here on Earth.
A princess, you might say, if you wanted to translate the name of Urahara Kisuke's sword spirit into Zethafree. And Philza is literally cosplaying the man at all times. That's already really good! Bleach reference! But in the story, why would Philza name himself that?
Why would the noted anarchist birb name himself something so strictly to do with governments?
Well, he IS the Angel of Death. He's been the Angel of Death since before Kristin, actually, because he gained that title on SMP Earth. Techno called him that for swooping over to murder Wilbur! Which means he gained that title when he was a member of the Antarctic Empire. When Techno was The Emperor of Ice. When he became Techno's right-hand man. 'The Angel of Death', you may note, is not 'Co-emperor'. And in every story Phil tells Chayanne? He's following Techno's plan. Techno leads, Phil enforces. This is how Phil remembers it.
Which means, that in this story I'm plotting, every single time Philza introduces himself, he says something like "I'm Captain Philza Minecraft of the Quesadilla SMP Ship 'The Great Wall'," and he means "Hi! I've named myself out of loyalty to my best friend. Whatever other ranks I've earned, you must also remember that I helped him rule an empire." He named himself 'Red Royalty' when he ran an empire, and he's kept that name, because that's when he met Techno.
Now I just have to figure out how the hell Fit, perpetual normal human guy, is going to figure out enough of that to ask Phil about it.

Please tell me about hot time is currency in your wip.
Sooo I'll start with some exposition: the setting of my wip, CLOCKED OUT, is the city of Klairva, which floats in the middle of the sky like a minecraft skywars island. Legend says that Klairva, along with a handful of other known cities, was pulled from the crust of the Earth by the hands of gods—in Klairva's case, this god is known as the Clockmaker, who dictates the passage of time. However, the Clockmaker has been dead for centuries, and left in his wake are the Cardinals: strange "magicians" who are half-human, half-monster and can warp time to their liking. Klairva has since fallen into an aristocracy where the wealthy Cardinals rule with an iron fist—controlling the masses with their only advantage, time itself.
Now for the actual currency part...
Upon birth, every citizen is issued a pocket watch. This watch constantly ticks, moving counterclockwise from the 1 o'clock position toward 12 o'clock. The position of the clock hands depends on the time in the user's bank; for instance, someone with a wealthy amount of time (100+ years) will see the time of their pocket watch as 1 o'clock—the farthest it can be from 12. Someone with a poor amount of time (<1 year) might see their watch as reading 12:15 or 12:10. Watches that strike 12:00 (when all 3 hands meet at 12) essentially represent someone who has run out of time, or in other words, someone who is "clocked out."
(note that most watches don't start ticking until 12 years after birth. from then on, the child must find their own source of income or receive support (e.g. parents transferring their own time to their children) to prevent being clocked out. the watches, as godly magical artifacts, are indestructible, and will always reappear within someone's general vicinity if they have been lost/discarded. in addition, the exact value of time one has left is printed on the watch's clock face—counting down in year/month/day/hour/minute/second form.)
The watch, which serves as a "bank," is also the medium of transactions. With no physical currency, transaction and business in Klairva works similarly to credit/debit cards of the modern age—an amount is willed forth, the two watches make contact, and the exchange is done.
But wait, you might be wondering, if you're a multi-millionaire in this world, couldn't you technically achieve immortality and NEVER run out of time?
Well... no. The thing is, the amount reading on the watch doesn't represent how long until you die; it's how long until you clock out. People can still die from disease, violence, etc. despite having centuries left on the watch, just like perfectly healthy people can clock out if the watch strikes 12. So it's quite common for the desperate to hold people at gunpoint and demand a year or two. Most rich would rather hand over the time than get a bullet through the skull.
So what happens to those who clock out? Basically no one knows. They just disappear. Known as the timeless or the twelve-struck in urban legends, the general consensus is that the Cardinals whisk them off to eternal hell, a realm with no happiness and constant torture, a fate worse than death. But of course, the actual fate of the timeless will be uncovered by my lovely characters throughout the course of the story ;)
I think I covered pretty much everything sfkslfslfkwkfl that was a lot! Honestly I'm very scared as to how I'm going to explain all of this in the actual novel without info-dumping like hell, but fuck it I'm just gonna try my best and worry about editing it later LMAO. thank u for reading this far if you did <3
