@clovercrafted‘s Summer Fun build event Day 5 - Pink

While this build is in the world of my Kingdom of Mossland project, I did not think it was a big enough build to make an update post out of, but it’s just fine for a fun build event post. For pink day, I decided to build a nice cottagecore build using peonies and the pink nether wood (I used slabs, which the mizuno pack turns pink). The cottage itself has a large kitchen with big windows, a dining area, a library, a greenhouse, and a spacious bedroom. The property also features a large oak tree and a quiet pond to stroll around.

I recreated this adorable witch cottage by the amazing @beeswithmoss and it turned out so magical! I will be uploaded the interior to my Youtube channel later today (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZU-jypVeC2E3wcbmj-PB_Q) and its very enchanting with the book cases, particle effects, amethyst, and cobwebs I put everywhere. A picture doesn’t do it justice! The roof is EVERYTHING I love it so much and it actually wasn’t too hard. I think an herbal witch who also is into crystals and the arcane would live here studying plants and magic all day. I also love the dreamy cotton candy skies and pink trees in this specific time of day. I hope you enjoy this magical cottage.

After about four or five hours of work (with six hours of accidentally-falling-asleep-in-front-of-my-laptop wedged in between), I am proud to say that I have completely disinfected and made new once more the central portal section of an ancient city.

The most time-consuming and annoying aspect was figuring out how to make the outer walls look good because they were not in perfect central alignment with the hallways branching off of them. So, you have areas where I’ve changed the pattern a bit and tried to do so in the least distracting way. It’s a bit annoying if you look at it with a detailed eye, but at a glance it looks good.

Despite the time and occasional frustrations, this has been a very calming and rewarding project. The plan is to completely restore the entire ancient city structure, but this will take weeks to completely accomplish. Thankfully, it’s a rather small one.

I don’t claim to be an experienced builder and I’m mostly working off of what the game has already provided, but in my eyes, this looks good. That’s all that matters.

I used Mizuno’s 16 Craft (including the CIT pack) as my resource pack for this project. As I move on to more residential areas, the CIT pack will come in handy to add tons of little nuanced details into homes and shops and public areas.

The Kingdom of Mossland now has another noble house joining it’s population, which brings the total up to a staggering two.

Living in their seaside manor, House Wade is well known for their love of the sea and all things fishing related. (I’ve been watching a lot of River Monsters lately) Members of this house have risen to fame from captaining several expeditions to far away lands for mapping and research, and use their wealth to furnish a comfortable home for themselves and their descendants. The manor itself has no interior because I just couldn’t be bothered, but the exterior is quite nice and features a large flower garden, a smaller vegetable garden, and a patio with flower boxes. And just look at that bridge and cliff road. I was planning to add in a small cove and fishing docks on the sea side of the cliffs but I just couldn’t justify it as it felt too much like interior work.
