its been a hot minute since i updated yall on my singleplayer world, so heres a small summary of events from the last two days:
> raided an ancient city and got 2½ stacks of diamonds + 80 levels just from clearing out all the sculk
> in the world's wildest series of coincidences-- went looking for the nearest stronghold on a lark, found it in the desert i already have a nether portal out to, dug down to find myself literally on top of it, broke in and found myself across the fucking hall from the portal room
> went to the End, killed the dragon, experienced the end poem in its entirety all for the FIRST TIME
> went shulker hunting and my second end city had a ship 👀👀👀
so uh. needless to say, im having fun

Beat the ender dragon in my vanilla singleplayer minecraft world! I have alot more stuff I want to do in this world, so much that it might keep me busy for a while. I wanna build big cities that connect with railways. I wanna build alot of stuff in this world and I wanna keep it going for a while.

Minecraft Custom Player-Made Maps that I faintly remember but for the life of me can’t remember the names of so I can’t find out if they were ever real:
A smallish island puzzle/exploration map that culminated in going into the secret base’s submarine and ‘stopping’ it from firing off a nuke.
A laboratory where you go in to work on a ‘train’ but the new boss is like “Welcome to NotchCo, you’re now our lab rat! :) “ and you are plunged right into the room escape puzzle maps.  It wasn’t Portal and didn’t use the Portal Gun mod.
A survival/adventure map that was 100% inspired by Castlevania but the map was absolutely HUGE so I never finished it because I died like... a lot.
A multi-genre enclosed map that had branching paths and apparently multiple endings?  I remember you had to collect gold nuggets and maybe forge them into gold blocks as trophies.
Fully functional redstone program that played Snake.
At least one fully functional amusement park.  With minigames and prizes.  No, not an online one.  I do know a multiplayer server existed but I have no idea how it was.  My computer barely put up with Minecraft Singleplayer but Multiplayer it’d crap out on all the time.
That Adventure modloader/mod thing that turned Minecraft into OoT Zelda.  Technically not a map but a lot of maps were made with it.  I think it was because of the panning camera function for dungeons and cutscenes.
A Myst-inspired adventure/exploration map but you had to open txt files as needed, and the links included took you to youtube videos of narration.  I remember being on a floating sky area during one.
A full fledged CRPG with factions but all the npcs were split between those pumpkin-head wool structures and block-trapped villagers.  Both had notebooks for dialogue.

is herobrine behavior/lore not common knowledge anymore .... has the world really forgotten about the 2x2 tunnels .. trees with their leaves all gone ... the sand pyramids in the ocean ... the herobrine shrine that would apparently summon him ... the lost to time brocraft hoax livestream that further popularized herobrine as a concept (of which herobrine was just a painting from a texture pack, later removed to which the streamer would continue to act freaked out until the end) .. the original forum post from sometime in august 2010 that detailed encounters with a pseudo-player in the distance on a singleplayer world which included this screenshot

does anyone even care at all. about a herobrine so small

So I've been seeing all the new hype about the potential new hermits for Hermitcraft s10, and I've had a thought. All our guesses have been the hermit-adjacents such as Joel or Martyn, but I think it would be really cool for us to talk about potential additions that aren't already super well known in the community!
Drop below a non-Hermit related mcyt who you think would be a good fit for Hermitcraft! To disclaim, this isn't us saying that they should be in Hermitcraft, but that you think Hermitcraft watchers would enjoy them too. I think this will be a fun way to introduce Hermitcraft fans to other series they might like. I'll go first:
Recently, I've encountered Waxfraud, a youtuber with around 290k subscribers. His main series is a Hardcore world, and he is by far the coziest youtuber I've watched. His builds are cluttered and alive, cottagecore in the best definition of the word. I've been binging his series for the past few days, and here are some examples of his builds:

I really think you guys might like him!
For a final addition, here's the episode that I started with - it's a fun one!

I recently started playing Minecraft single player with the new 1.20 update.
Ive made some single player worlds before but I'm actually trying to stick to this one for a while.
I have a lot I want to do and build!
One of my biggest demotivators for playing Minecraft before was a subconscious chain that had me believing I could only play Minecraft a specific way and use all the techniques (like making villager farms and trying to get the best enchants)
Part of this invisible pressure came from playing with others. Don't get me wrong I LOVE playing with others on Minecraft, but being able to do it MY way is very fun for me.
What is MY way exactly?
Well, Instead of getting the best gear asap, I decided to take my time and build a small walled area where I can do what I love most: building!
I'm already coming up with a lore for my world and it's so exciting.
Anyways, here's some screenshots !
