Helldivers 2 is pretty great. I'm a really big fan of (Verhoevan) Starship Troopers, and I feel like I could write a whole essay about how "seen" I feel with this game. I do love that this game has resurrected the old discourse about the film, some things never change

#kirby #daily kirby #my art #digital #hal laboratory #nintendo #so like aliexpress used to have a terrible reputation in terms of like quality and truth in advertising and such right #but like. amazon and etsy are swamped with bootleggers and dropshippers now too #so I figured like. can't be any worse right? #besides I know how to double check descriptions and measurements and examine images critically #I've shopped shady sites before like back when banggood was the only place to get those cute diy miniature kits #(now you can get them at regular craft store chains which is Wild to me) #but I have never opened aliexpress because everyone was always just like 'Never Go There' #(but then again these days folks are doing massive temu hauls left and right) #(so clearly norms have changed even if common perception of aliexpress has not) #I open it up and I immediately find the rug I spent an entire day hunting for unsuccessfully earlier in the month. #and a ton of incredible bootleg kirbs. #and a style of hair clip I've been hunting for for *years*. #soooo I spent the entire day in a pastel fugue lol #(I have not spent any money yet but I'm probably gonna) #(so like I can't confirm that you're not gonna get scammed or whatever just like. use common sense.) #(don't trust sale prices read descriptions/reviews when available and try to avoid work stolen from independent artists) #(that's usually gonna be on printed stuff like phone cases and posters) #(and tbh I have no qualms with stolen official art as long as the quality is as advertised) #(but there's a big difference between stealing from Multinational Corporation and stealing from Some Guy) #anyway done rambling now <3

I've done a thing!!! ^◡^

Meet three absolutely lovely chaps ♥︎ who can't wait to find the coolest miniature car I have amongst all of my toys!

James, Jeremy and Richard are 3D prints (which is the only thing I didn't do myself) then I sanded the figurines, sprayed carefully white primer on them and painted all of it. This was my first time ever I've painted figurines with acrylic colours, which I also had to mix myself.

I think they turned out really sweet for my first time drawing actual figurines and not just my usual paintings (and comics). It is different to work on 3D printed stuff, rather than on paper or digital drawing tablets. But I could use some of my knowledge, more or less...

With Jeremy being the tallest, measuring 11cm and Richard around 9cm, I'm sure I will find a nice place for them to take care of my toy vehicles!

They are so cute, I love them! ♥︎

Kitbashed this Everest together for Lancer a while ago, and having recently played through Titanfall 2 again, decided on the basic BT look after I couldn't decide how to paint him

Tried to mimic the official Everest design I've seen floating around, but I'm partial to the blocky style head so I stole that from a Battletech Highlander

Actually a lot is from Battletech, the legs are an Assassin and the Torso is a Black Knight. I love the Vladof guns from Borderlands so I found one of those for my assault rifle, and the arms are from the free mech set Filamentio released. I think that's most of it...

Oh shoutout to Death Ray Designs for their shark mouth nose art and industrial decals, they're great
