like i understand starguardians are supposed to be anime and cute and whatever the fuck but league already doesnt have women that leave the mold or leaves the mold without having necessarily conventionally attractive traits (like two of the older women having close to no wrinkles and curvy bodies) and idk man, i know its not that important but it feels weird removing all the seams and gaps from orianna even if she’s not a real human (without mentioning now she just looks like riven with a dress LMAO)

Please do your homework on alcohol consumption before writing a drinking scene if you have no experience with drinking.
I know you want your characters to "be loose" and "have fun" by chugging (shooting more than 3 shots, swiging, drinking so on and so forth) whole bottles of hard liquor....but...
Tumblr media
FULL STOP!
You're literally giving them alcohol poisoning!!
Instead of sexily dancing upon the floor like a magnificent peacock they'd be violently blackout belligerently drunk, projectile vomitting and in need of medical assistance.

DPXDC Prompt #94
Danny falls through a portal to the DC world from a natural portal that opened up while he was in mid fight with Skulker a fight that began at Vlads where the creep put a collar on Danny that kept him in ghost form, Vlad thought he’d force Danny to reveal his secret to his parents by taking away his human form. Looking around he’s in a dark city with dark smog colored skies. Unfortunately he’s stuck here as the portal closed leaving him trapped. He tried to find help but no one can see him in his ghost form. He starts tailing the vigilantes of this world and eventually follows one onto this space station through this tube (possessing inanimate objects sure comes in handy). He wasn’t expecting for the random British guy in a trench coat to see him.

I am asking you about your speculative minecraft biology headcanons 👀
oh yeah babey swag!! since you didn't specify a mob i am going to talk about creepers since i have the most stuff for them and everyone loves creepers. aw man
my guess [and one that i think is pretty agreed upon in minecraft biology headcanons] is that creepers are more akin to sentient plants or fungi than animals! they reproduce asexually by producing spores when they reach maturity, which they spread across a large area by exploding. they specifically seek out threats like players to explode near because if the force of an explosion kills or seriously injures a possible predator, the baby creepers [called creeplets] will have a safer head start
before they're mature and ready to explode creepers aren't as hostile, but they're incredibly territorial and hiss the same way they do before exploding as a threat display. while some creepers are solitary, the majority form packs [or rustles, as they're called] as creeplets with any other creepers whose spores landed and matured close by. typically a rustle of creepers will begin as a fairly large congregation of up to a few dozen juveniles, then gradually decrease in number as members either are killed by outside factors or explode pre-maturity to ensure the safety of its group, until the small handful remaining are ready to reproduce and go their separate ways so as not to accidentally kill each other in the ensuing explosions
incidentally, it may be possible to 'tame' a creeper by raising it from babyhood so that it sees you as a member of its rustle and thus not a threat. it'll still want to explode when it grows up and starts producing spores, though, so you're getting a hole in your backyard either way.
it's a little hard to pin down what a creeper would eat - they live in caves and seem nocturnal so they can't solely photosynthesise, their only actual method of attacking kills them so they'd be poor hunters, and they don't seem to have any teeth to chew plants with. the most likely options i can think of are that they're either insectivores, maybe using their weird shape to more effectively go after subterranean bugs, or scavengers who subsist on carrion and small fruits and the like. or perhaps they absorb nutrients from dead things with some kind of root system? that'd be another good reason for a reproducing creeper to want to kill someone in the process. much to think about!
i've scribbled a diagram of my speculative creeper life cycle but i think it might be trypophobia adjacent, so it's under this here cut to be safe

i promised context for this post, so here it is!!
major tws today folks: hard vore mention, unnamed character death, vore, digestion, in that order. Don’t read if you aren’t ok with these things!!
Y’know how there are animals that are genetically modified to help get rid of another overpopulated animal?
In this au there’s an overpopulation of borrowers, so scientists genetically engineer the first predatory borrower. They bred and raised borrowers in their labs, and began experimenting on them to make them look like normal borrowers, but have the capacity to grow bigger, stronger, all around more animalistic and predatory, though no two borrowers were experimented on exactly the same. They were tortured in the labs to make them as strong as possible, and forcibly modified when they messed up (think Nebula from Guardians of the Galaxy but less tech fuckery and more genetic fuckery). They then raised these special borrowers with the mentality that they were the superior species, and that borrowers were nothing more than pests, and they were fed live borrowers for years. And then, after all that, the scientists tested their effectiveness.
One borrower-creature was far more effective than the others. So effective, in fact, that it managed to break out of the facility, killing and eating most of the other creatures (and a few scientists’ fingers) before leaving. The experiment all around was deemed a failure and there have been no further attempts to make more borrower-creatures.
Meanwhile Tommy has no idea what he’s doing now that he’s broken out. He’d always had food handed to him, he doesn’t know how to hunt. He spends a bit of time in the woods alone failing to find food before he stumbles upon a human walking through a trail. He quickly latches onto this human and plays victim, and the human, Wilbur, one of the few who think of borrowers as people, takes pity on him and takes him home.
Once home, Tommy somewhat drops the act, still pretending he’s innocent but now telling Wil that he’s a bit different from other borrowers, and is fully carnivorous. Wilbur agrees to help feed him, but it doesn’t take long for the gaslighting to start.
After a few months, Tommy begins guilting Wilbur into believing that he’s not getting him enough food, and Wil, who’s very attached to Tommy at this point and who views him as a little brother, does his best to get Tommy what he needs. It starts with raw meats from the stores but quickly turns to buying insects and then small rodents and lizards, and Wilbur never watches him eat (Tommy had made it very clear that he never wanted Wilbur to see him eat for whatever reason), but nothing was enough for him. Tommy always says that he needs something more, something better.
It all just gets worse and worse until a borrower finds its way into Wilbur’s house, and Wil takes pity on him, too. He tries to introduce him to Tommy, who’s friendly at first, but the second Wilbur turns his back, the other borrower is trapped in Tommy’s stomach, nothing but a panicked, wriggling lump under his skin. This is the first time Wilbur has ever seen Tom’s creature form. He is scared, betrayed, appalled, but above all else, furious. He demands Tommy spit them out, but he refuses. Tommy laments how he’s glad that after all this time, he finally got a fulfilling meal, and that maybe if Wilbur continued to get him meals like this, meals that he was made to eat instead of measly animals or bugs, they could get along like brothers, like Wilbur wants. Wilbur eventually realizes how he’s been manipulated by the very person he adopted and treated like family, and he breaks. He notices the thrashing bulge in Tom’s stomach getting slower and slower and eventually, when he sees it stop moving, he grabs Tommy by the throat and holds a knife up to him, saying that if he doesn’t spit the borrower out he’d cut him out.
Tommy, who’s not stupid and who was also physically tormented by the scientists who created him, leaving a bit of fear for humans left in his instincts, finally spits the borrower out. He’s still breathing, barely, and is heavily burned. Wil sticks Tommy in a jar for the time being and begins to help the mangled borrower as much as he can.
Wilbur calls up one of his friends who agrees with his beliefs on borrowers, and they agree to take the borrower and help him. The borrower soon wakes up, and Wilbur apologizes profusely, and says that he has a place for him to stay where he’s safe and away from Tommy.
Wilbur’s friend gets there to take the borrower and the two hit it off right away, the human introducing himself as Ranboo and the borrower introducing himself as Tubbo.
Once they’re all sorted out and on their way back to Ranboo’s house, Wilbur deals with Tommy. And as upset as Wilbur is at him, and as much as the murder threat scared Tommy, Tommy has no remorse, and is frankly pissed that Wilbur took away the only decent meal he’d had in forever. Turns out that the reason Tommy had been dissatisfied with his meals was that he wanted to hunt things with intelligence, like he’d been taught to. Like he been made to do. When he explains that to Wilbur, he’s actually slightly heartbroken. Someone at a lab had taken a baby borrower, fucked him up, and told him that he only had one purpose in life. And whether Tommy realizes is or not, and no matter how much he hates the scientists who did this to him, he’s been trying to do exactly what they wanted. He’s never tried to be anything other than the monster they told him to be.
Wil decides then and there that it’s gonna be his mission to fix Tommy. To unteach all of the bullshit that he learned at the lab, and make him realize that borrowers are people, too. But with a while childhood of corruption and a society where borrowers really are seen as pests, he’s got a long way to go before Tommy sees differently.

Jumping the shark the Tolerance Project and the Jaws Franchise.
Jaws is a 1975 American thriller film directed by Steven Spielberg, based on the 1974 novel by Peter Benchley. It stars Roy Scheider as police chief Martin Brody, who, with the help of a marine biologist (Richard Dreyfuss) and a professional shark hunter (Robert Shaw), hunts a man-eating great white shark that attacks beachgoers at a summer resort town. Murray Hamilton plays the mayor, and Lorraine Gary portrays Brody's wife. The screenplay is credited to Benchley, who wrote the first drafts, and actor-writer Carl Gottlieb, who rewrote the script during principal photography.
To read an article from the website Movieweb about the 10 biggest differances between the book by Peter Benchley and the Jaws film click here https://movieweb.com/jaws-biggest-differences-between-movie-and-book/
Also Do sharks really grow to the the great big size that we see in the Jaws film click on the article bellow for your answer https://www.syfy.com/syfy-wire/do-great-white-sharks-really-get-as-big-as-jaws
Shot mostly on location at Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts, Jaws was the first major motion picture to be shot on the ocean and consequently had a troubled production, going over budget and schedule. As the art department's mechanical sharks often malfunctioned, Spielberg decided mostly to suggest the shark's presence, employing an ominous and minimalist theme created by composer John Williams to indicate its impending appearances. Spielberg and others have compared this suggestive approach to that of director Alfred Hitchcock. Universal Pictures' release of the film to over 450 screens was an exceptionally wide release for a major studio picture at the time, and it was accompanied by an extensive marketing campaign that heavily emphasized television spots and tie-in merchandise.
Regarded as a watershed moment in motion picture history, Jaws was the prototypical summer blockbuster, and won several awards for its music and editing. It was the highest-grossing film of all time until the release of Star Wars two years later; both films were pivotal in establishing the modern Hollywood business model, which pursues high box-office returns from action and adventure films with simple high-concept premises, released during the summer in thousands of theaters and advertised heavily.
Jaws the perfect Horror film
I myself don’t class Jaws 1975 or its sequels as a horror film feel free to disagree with me the Callider film website wrote an article called 25 movies that are perfect from start to finish Jaws 1975 was on the list at number 1 Callider explained why Jaws was number on their list.
Predating Star Wars by two years, Jaws is often considered the original Hollywood blockbuster. It was a movie that established an already accomplished Steven Spielberg as an undisputed master filmmaker, and it remains his most exciting thriller. As far as the plot goes, it almost couldn't be simpler, as Jaws follows three men who set out to kill a monstrous shark that's been terrorizing a seaside town during the summer holiday season.
No dinosaur movie has ever been as good as Spielberg's Jurassic Park, and similarly, no other shark movie has ever come close to touching Jaws. It's a movie that works wonders with a direct premise that in lesser hands would feel generic, underwhelming, or predictable, and every minute here proves engrossing. It's a movie that's perfectly cast, perfectly paced, and perfectly directed by a remarkably young Spielberg (he wasn't even 30 at the time of its release). In essence, Jaws is - without a doubt - simply perfect.
Jaws the Music and creating that theme
Tumblr media
John Williams composed the film's score, which earned him an Academy Award and was later ranked the sixth-greatest score by the American Film Institute.[75][76] The main "shark" theme, a simple alternating pattern of two notes—variously identified as "E and F"[77] or "F and F sharp"[78]—became a classic piece of suspense music, synonymous with approaching danger[79] (see leading-tone). in the film the theme is simply discribed as Main title / First Victim to listen to it click here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BX3bN5YeiQs&list=PL17vqAEJv6CV1syq4_fFKgBwSqGdJzH9z&index=343
Williams described the theme as "grinding away at you, just as a shark would do, instinctual, relentless, unstoppable."[80] The piece was performed by tuba player Tommy Johnson. When asked by Johnson why the melody was written in such a high register and not played by the more appropriate French horn, Williams responded that he wanted it to sound "a little more threatening".[81] When Williams first demonstrated his idea to Spielberg, playing just the two notes on a piano, Spielberg was said to have laughed, thinking that it was a joke. As Williams saw similarities between Jaws and pirate movies, at other points in the score he evoked "pirate music", which he called "primal, but fun and entertaining".[74] Calling for rapid, percussive string playing, the score contains echoes of La mer by Claude Debussy as well of Igor Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring.[78][82]
Steven Speilberg explains in this article for Fandomwire why he began to laugh when he first heard the famous Jaw theme  https://fandomwire.com/i-began-to-laugh-steven-spielberg-thought-john-williams-pranked-him-after-first-hearing-the-iconic-jaws-theme-only-to-admit-his-mistake-later/

What do you think are the best films in the Jaws Franchise ?
The orignal Jaws film from 1975 was included on a list of film published by Screenrant of Franchises that peaked with their first film they said about Jaws.
One of the most important releases in movie history, the original Jaws, was credited with starting the summer blockbuster as audiences know it, and forever changing cinema. The highest-grossing movie of all time when it came out in 1975, Steven Spielberg’s epic tale of a killer shark who terrorized beachgoers was a sensational piece of action filmmaking that was as thrilling as it was terrifying. Three sequels were released, and its legacy can still be felt in recent films like The Meg, but the series peaked with the original. It is a classic horror film that cannot be replicated in any way or form.
Screenrant recently published an article called 10 films that deserved better sequels Jaws was included on thar list this is what Screenrant said about the Jaws sequels
Directed by Steven Spielberg, Jaws has been cited as one of the films that created the summer blockbuster, and set the tone for the success of Spielberg's career. It makes sense that producers wanted to capitalize on the attention that Jaws was receiving, but the many sequels that followed were consistently less effective than the original film. Though not the worst sequel overall, Jaws 2 set the tone for how filmmakers would approach the legacy of the franchise, and this should've been treated more carefully. Like many sequels, Jaws 2 falls prey to the mistake of following the same plot as the original, but not doing it as well.
I like Jaws I and 2 they are about the best the frachise has to offer.
Jaws 2 secretly has the most realestic shark screne according to this article on the ScreenRant website  https://screenrant.com/jaws-2-realistic-shark-scene-diver-scare/
Talking about Jaws 2 the film celebrates its 45th Birthday this year The remind website published this article to celebrate its birthday https://www.remindmagazine.com/article/3744/jaws-2-1978-roy-scheider-john-williams/
Did you know that the first 2 Jaws films are number 2 and 3 in the list of highest grossing horror films of all time behind the 1973 film The Exorcist I know this sounds funny but I wouldn’t class the Jaws Franchise as Horror but thats just me you can read the full list by clicking here https://www.visualcapitalist.com/the-highest-grossing-horror-movies-of-all-time/
JAWS III or is that JAWS 3D ? 1983
Tumblr media
Jaws III aka Jaws 3D (depending on which version you are watching the 2D Television Version or 3D version)  which people saw at the cinema  is a bit of a mess.
You can read about Producer/Directors Joe Dantes orignal plans for Jaws III amd his unmade sequel Jaws 3 people 0 by clcking here click here https://theplaylist.net/joe-dante-unmade-jaws-sequel-20230721/
If anybody is reading this a question has anybody seen the  orignal 3D version of the film what was it like? I imagine it was a rather strange expeireince the only 3D film I have seen was Captain EO at Disney land in California  in 1989 and again at EuroDisney in the early 90s.
Tumblr media
Jaws 4 The Revenge 1987
The follow up Jaws 4  The Revenge is a little bit of an improvement on III but not by much . I find Jaws 4 the Revenge a rather strange title I never knew great big white sharks had such strong emotions.
I saw the film when it was shown on the television the best thing in it is Micheal Caine who played Hoagie Newcombe  in the film. and as the story goes  he accepted the part in the film to pay for his mothers house lol
Tumblr media
There was even a Jaws computer game to tie in with Jaws 4 the Revenge it wasn’t very good by all accounts you can find a video about it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cb-ILuDLuUk&list=PL17vqAEJv6CV1syq4_fFKgBwSqGdJzH9z&index=319

Did you know that Jaws 4 the Revenge has the Dubious honor of having one of the lowest scores ever on the film rating site Rottern Tomatoes the Game rant website published the story here  https://gamerant.com/jaws-revenge-0-rotten-tomatoes/
Jaws and the the Tolerance film
We didn’t see the famous great white shark in the Tolerance film but we did hear him
We used the famous Jaws theme twice in the Tolerance film once when Robert is nearly knocked over by a passing car only to be saved by a passer by
And the 2nd time time as a spoof with a slight nod to Jurassic Park to introduce the man with a hellium voice Mr Grosenberg played by actor Tony Green see the pictures below.
According to this article on the Collider film website you can tell how good a Jaws film is going to be by watching the first kill you can read it by clicking here https://collider.com/jaws-movies-opening-kills/
And some films that use JAWs motifs don’t even feature water according to this article by the CBR.com website click here https://www.cbr.com/tremors-nope-best-jaws-rip-offs/#:~:text=That%20said%2C%20the%20following%20decades%20would%20lend%20themselves,didn%27t%20even%20have%20sharks%20or%20water%20in%20them.
I met Jaws myself when I went to Universal Studios in 1989 as 12 year old he decided he wanted to take a chunk out of a tour bus during a studio tour I was lucky to survive ha ha lol.

The Poster by Roger Kastel was also included in the Collider film website article 25 best movie posters of all time landing at number landing at number 25 they said this this about Kastels work
There are plenty of great "man vs. creature" movies out there, but few resonate quite like the original Jaws. This was the film that made Steven Spielberg a household name, and arguably kicked off the idea of what a blockbuster movie was. The plot's simplicity was one of its greatest strengths, with three men going on a deadly mission to kill a giant shark that had been terrorizing their coastal town. The straightforward nature of Jaws' premise is reflected beautifully in its instantly striking poster.
Well, the title helps as well, and on the poster in question, those four letters spelling out a single word appear bold against a white background, the color of the letters blood-red. Below the title swims a single figure, and below the swimmer looms a considerably larger shark barreling straight towards her. It encapsulates the film's opening sequence perfectly, and given that sequence establishes the tone for the entire movie perfectly, it's pretty easy to call the poster for Jaws essentially perfect.
Pictures the Jaws music as it appeared in the Tolerance film

something has finally clicked in my brain where I can look at something I would normally eat and be disgusted. it's true what they say, everything you eat is a choice to stay fat. to not reach, or even stray farther from your goals. I can't do that to myself anymore I feel I deserve better. I will do better.

As much as I usually am for people doing what they want with media in fanfiction, I feel a little tired of seeing people try to "fix" league of extraordinary gentlemen. I know I might get some hate for this but please hear me out. making minor changes to a preexisting story is somewhat pointless if that story has already been wrapped up. Even if Tempest was confusing, it still was an ending to the story. The point of it even being called the League of Extraordinary GENTLEMEN is due to the rampant sexism etc of this weird Victorian steampunk story, trying to rename it makes it sound silly frankly. I respect whatever you're doing, but you have to remember that media doesn't exist in a vacuum, you can criticize all you want but that doesn't change the fact that your little pet project is just another fanfiction in the void, so why not make it stand out a little by maybe recasting the league entirely? Making a new story with the League instead of claiming to make an AU "fixing" what Alan Moore did? Yes I know, people aren't exactly a fan of him considering what he and his wife did in lost girls (DO NOT LOOK UP LOST GIRLS) but really. Let sleeping dogs lie and write a bit of smut or whatever I don't care but we need to stop pretending that we can fix media when we really can't.
