Part 21 Punk Hazard!

There is SO much that happens in this arc! (The ONE time I don’t remember much 💀) however I definitely believe Reader will end up kidnapped by Caesar Clown (As ordered by Doflamingo who has big plans for her from her stunt at Marineford) and he manages to get some of her blood (For some experiments) and discovers some fascinating properties in her blood

Also devious ideas for Momonosuke having a big fat crush on Reader (Evil Laughter)

Y/N and the Straw Hats finally enter the New World (And promise Shirahoshi and their allies that they’ll come back again, especially since they plan to make Fishman Island their territory)

After that ordeal Nami decides to take a nice shower and has Reader join her to help her get nice and clean after such an intense adventure and battle (When they were done, Nami helped Y/N into a pair of clean clothes)

Reader wanted to play, however all the exhaustion finally crashed down on her and she felt very sleepy, and went to her bedroom to take a nap (She wanted to stay up and do more adventure, but Luffy promises to wake her up if he sees Adventure)

However they received a distress call for help on an island called Punk Hazard that they’re being attacked by a Samurai

If Reader is with Zoro, Robin, Luffy and Usopp then Ace is also there (And when they have to cross the icy and flaming waters, Ace uses his boat to get him and Reader across *As everyone else is too big and heavy to join him on his transportation*)

When Zoro, Luffy and Mama Robin are laughing evilly over getting some warm coats, Ace is in the background using his DF to keep his body warm as well as for Reader (And he’s careful that he doesn’t burn her) as she’s shivering a bit from the chill

They couldn’t find a coat to fit her, so Robin makes a flap in the front/back of Luffy/Ace/Zoro’s coat for Reader to stay warm in (Commenting that he looks like a Kangaroo and Reader looks like his baby Joey *Usopp and Brook are laughing hysterically*)

When they meet Kin’emon and Momonosuke (Momo develops a small crush on Reader) but Y/N’s brothers, uncle (Franky) and her grandpa (Brook) aren’t amused, minus Luffy, since he’s too dumb to realize this until Zoro tells him, then he’s on the same boat with everyone else (Meanwhile, Nami and Robin think it’s cute that Reader has a friend around her age to spend time with)

Caesar might try to take some of Reader’s blood (For experiments) and accidentally saw strange properties within her blood, and with a few tests he discovers a shocking discovery, Reader’s blood has phenomenal abilities that can advance his ‘research’ (Cruel and Inhumane Experiments and Weapons) he just needs a LOT more of her blood (History repeats itself) one of them being she can be the key to reach immortality! (So Reader is currently running away as fast as she can away from the Scary Man, only to get caught and hooked up on an operation table)

However Law finds her and helps her (He was shocked to find her there)

When Luffy fought Caesar, he went on about how a ‘Simpleton’ like Luffy and his crew can’t understand how to ‘properly use’ Reader (Luffy feels rage, especially when he recalls how scared Reader was)

Reader is proceeding to cry when her family finds her as she’s sobbing silently and violently trembling in their arms (When they see the machine Reader was hooked up too and some of her blood, they instantly connected the dots on what happened and look absolutely murderous, especially since this level of fear she’s showing is something incredibly raw, a few they all understand all to well)

When Reader finds out about the other children being experimented on she demands to go back because she wants to help them, just like how she wished to be helped (This answer made her family understand that Reader is opening up a bit about her trauma)

Reader raised her voice for the first time begging her Brothers to help save the children as she wants to help them! (She also wants to help Law)

When Caesar was defeated and Sanji whipping up a lot of food of them, the Marines and the children, Reader joins Law to help the kids (And uses her powers to the best of her ability to help relieve them of their pain)

Reader says hello to Smoker and Tashigi and tell her she’s not a prisoner (They definitely believe she’s been brainwashed if she thinks she’s safe around Pirates, but know Reader is most likely better off with Straw Hat Luffy than anyone else)

Sorry if this is a jumbled mess I can’t remember much about what happened in Punk Hazard (I just know that I hate and would gladly kill Caesar Clown)

-It had been a long day for you, leaving Fishman Island, and after a big meal and a bath with Nami, you were knocked out almost instantly, sawing logs as soon as your head hit the pillow.

-You woke up to loud shouting and you sat up, a big groggy and you headed to the door, opening it and seeing Luffy holding a Den-Den Mushi, a distress signal being sent out that whoever was calling was being attacked by a samurai.

-Brook kneeled beside you, noticing you first as you looked up at him, “What’s a samurai?” and he explained it to you, telling you that it’s a swordsman from a nation called Wano, and Luffy decided to head to Punk Hazard.

-The island was so weird! Half of it was covered in ice, the other covered in flames, which made you very confused on how the ice didn’t melt and how the fire wasn’t being put out by the ice.

-Ace, Luffy, Robin, Zoro, and Usopp were the ones to go onto the island, and despite begging to go too, they didn’t want to risk you getting burnt.

-You did pout only slightly, wanting to go explore with them on this new adventure, but seeing all the fire, you were a little nervous, and relented.

-As the ship sailed to the other side of the island, that was covered in snow, you were in awe, wanting to go and play in the snow. You then heard Franky, “Oi who the hell are you?!” everyone turned, seeing unknown men in hazmat suits jumping aboard the ship, but before anyone could do anything- they knocked everyone out.

-You’re not sure how much time had passed, but you felt the gentle brush of fingers on your cheeks, “Are you awake?” you didn’t know the voice and your eyes opened before they went wide, seeing a little pink dragon staring down at you.

-You didn’t know where you were when you sat up, tears coming to your eyes before the dragon panicked, “Don’t cry- I’m going to protect you! I am Momonosuke- the next Shogun of Wano!!” you recalled Wano, as you tilted your head to the side, looking adorable, “The land of samurais?”

-Momo instantly flushed- you were so cute!! He nodded, looking quite pleased with himself, “Yes- you are correct fair maiden!” he talked kind of funny as you looked around this room, finding yourself on a small cot, “Where are we?”

-Momo looked around, as he wasn’t supposed to be here, but he had heard of a young girl being brought in, and he wanted to make sure she was safe, while avoiding the guards himself, “On Punk Hazard- it’s a former World Government base, but now it’s- it’s something else, a lab.”

-Before you could ask him any more questions, voices filled the air near the door and Momo spoke, “I’ll come find you later, what’s your name?” you smiled up at him, “I’m Y/N!” he nodded and disappeared through a vent as the door opened, revealing a man who looked like he was made of clouds but also looked like a clown.

-He smiled broadly, seeing you awake, “Ahh Y/N you’re finally awake- I was concerned why you weren’t waking up!” he picked you up, despite being made of clouds, which made you curious, playing with his shoulder that kept making whisps, “You’re made of clouds?” he laughed at your naivety, “No my dear- I’m made of gas, I ate the Gas-Gas Fruit- marvelous isn’t it? But not as marvelous as you!”

-You were confused by what he meant, he didn’t seem scary, as he was smiling and laughing, like he was having fun while walking down the hallway with you.

-What felt like hours later, you were sobbing, a washcloth in your mouth, stuffed there after Caesar got tired of your crying and screaming for your brothers.

-When he saw you on the ship, he knew this was going to be a glorious chance to get his hands on you!

-He had been vying for you ever since your abilities had been made public, and as he experimented on you, drawing blood from you, he found that this wasn’t a Devil Fruit ability- this was something you could do yourself!!

-He had torn the clothes from your body, seeing the scars, seeing that someone else knew this fact about you as well, knowing what you could do as you were strapped down, crying heavily, reliving old trauma of being trapped while being tortured here.

-You were so scared, your heartrate was through the roof and you felt like throwing up, but you couldn’t, your arms and legs as well as your torso and head were strapped down, unable to move, unable to escape.

-Caesar looked like a child in a candy store, watching your horn flare to life as your ability healed another six cuts on your arm. You were getting dizzy now, a fever starting to form, which he recorded, “Hmm- it’s probably due to your age that your ability seems to be so weak. Ahh the limitations of youth~ I wonder what you will be like when you’re older!”

-You could barely understand him through the haze of the pain and your fever, you just wanted the pain to stop- you wanted Luffy and Ace, Sanji, and Robin- you wanted your family- you wanted to go home!!

-When the whole island seemed to shake, an earthquake it felt like, Caesar pulled back, a scowl on his lips, questioning the guards who were in the area what was going on, but nobody seemed to have an answer.

-He left you, promising to return shortly to have more fun, as you broke down, your tears unable to stop as you started to tremble, going into shock.

-You heard the sound of the door opening, and you didn’t know if you had passed out, so you don’t know how much time had passed, but you heard someone whisper out a naughty word and you looked up, seeing a new man there, wearing a leopard seal hat.

-He quickly moved to your side and worked quickly on getting you free, gritting his teeth lightly. He couldn’t bear to see such a young child being tortured like this- he was a pirate, a warlord, but he wasn’t heartless!

-Law knew that the Straw Hats were looking for you, he recalled how enraged Luffy and Ace had been when they learned you had been taken. Normally he would have teased them for not having weaknesses, but he kept quiet, as he remembered his own little sister, who he had been unable to help.

-Law pulled you into his arms, wrapping you in a blanket before holding you close. You didn’t know this man, but unlike Caesar, he wasn’t hurting you, he was helping you.

-Law pulled out his sword, and slashed at the room, destroying all the evidence and machines, as well as the vials of your blood, not wanting a child to be turned into a weapon. He knew the government was after you, and he knew that Doflamingo was after you- and Law knew all too well how dangerous that could be.

-He glanced down at you, seeing that you had a fever and spoke quietly, “I know you are tired, but try to stay awake.” You nodded softly, looking up at him, curious as to where you remember him from.

-When he stopped in a quiet area, allowing himself a breather, you spoke up, smiling softly as you remembered, “I remember you- you had a fluffy polar bear.” He smiled softly, happy that you had remembered Bepo, and through his friend, you remembered him. He was glad that you didn’t remember what he had unintentionally taught you.

-Law felt the rumbles of the various attacks through the building, as he scowled softly, after he had teamed up with Smoker and the Straw Hats to defeat Caesar and his forces, as well as looking for you as you were the only one who was missing.

-Law had been stunned by the faith Luffy had put in him, entrusting him with finding you, and while not happy being given orders by someone else, Law couldn’t help but squeeze you a bit tighter, feeling relief that he did find you.

-Footsteps filled his ears and Law turned, his eyes widening, seeing Vergo there, who looked unimpressed, “Law- what do you think you’re doing with Y/N?” Law ground his teeth slightly, glaring as he knew that Vergo had already reported to Doflamingo about his betrayal, but now, facing off against him, he knew he had to keep you safe.

-Law hesitated in fighting, wondering if he should just flee, or if he should put you down, but that would give an opportunity for Vergo to grab you, or someone else to grab you.

-Law inhaled deeply, holding you on his hip, turning so you would be shielded, “You and Doflamingo will not hurt this child again.” He swallowed his fear as Vergo glared down at him, trying to intimidated him, like old times.

-You clutched onto Law’s jacket tightly, the sounds of fighting ringing in your ears as your head was pounding, you felt so sick- so weak. Caesar had taken so much blood from you and made you use your quirk so much that he was almost to the point of killing you.

-When Vergo was finally defeated, you finally peeked out as Law was panting hard before he sheathed his sword, “C’mon- we gotta get out of here!” you didn’t respond, as he rushed towards the rail tracks, where the others all agreed to meet.

-Law knew that if the facility was at risk, Doflamingo was going to implement the failsafe, destroying the whole island, as only Caesar was wanted alive, because with him, he could still continue to produce SAD, false Devil Fruits.

-You knew what SADs were, as you heard Caesar talking about them, wanting to make these false Devil Fruits, using your ability, to create an army of people with your ability.

-Ace shouted out your name as he saw you, as Law sprinted and leapt up, as the railcar had just left and Ace caught Law by his jacket, pulling him into the cart and many voices shouted out your name, seeing the state you were in.

-Law and Robin, as Chopper was still trying to stabilize Mocha, worked quickly, as the G5 soldiers kept the other children back, who were all wondering who you were- as you were a child they hadn’t met yet.

-Momo shouted out your name, from his spot around Luffy’s neck, who was stunned stiff, seeing the state you were in, as you were now crying, holding onto Robin’s hands, your body trembling as Law tried to use what he could to try to stabilize you, as you were going into shock.

-Ace was the one to shake Luffy out of his shock, as Monet started the self-destruct sequence, and the tunnel was starting to collapse, so they needed to keep the track clear to avoid the incoming poison.

-Your crew- no… your family was furious, seeing you in such a state, as the cart managed to get outside safely, and despite the celebration, Chopper, who was now helping Law, were still trying to get you stabilized.

-Tashigi was appalled, seeing the scars on your arms, which looked old, and she remembered Caesar’s words to the Straw Hats, that they didn’t know how to use you properly. It made her blood boil, thinking they were the ones who did this to you.

-Smoker was also enraged, fully prepared to fight for you, thinking that you weren’t safe with the Straw Hats, thinking they were using you just like Caesar wanted to.

-Ace and Luffy got into a fight with Smoker, the three of them shouting while everyone else watched and Tashigi spoke up, pointing at you, “Then what about those wounds! Are you the ones who did that to her?!”

-Nami glared hard, she respected Tashigi, as she reminded her of Belle Mere, “Shut up.” The air turned icy, hearing Nami’s fury as she spoke, intimidating Tashigi, “Don’t make accusations if you don’t know who did them. We would never hurt a child.”

-Tashigi, realizing what she had suggested, gasped, in shock before Sanji spoke, glaring at Smoker, “And it’s your government who wants Y/N alive and for such a high bounty. What makes you think they won’t do the same to her if you get your hands on her.”

-Neither could make an argument, as Smoker knew that there was something fishy up on why the government was so adamant about getting their hands on you, but there was no proof.

-Once you were finally stabilized, Luffy agreed to leave the other children with Smoker, and Law, Momo, and Kin’emon hopped aboard Sunny, as the next island was their shared destination, Dressrosa.

-Robin and Nami carefully doted on you, as they could tell that you were now very emotionally fragile as you weren’t responding verbally to any of them, not even Luffy or Ace. Your eyes were glassy, and you seemed like you were just there, like a living doll, which enraged your family to see you in such a state.

-Caesar was being held down in the brig, chained with sea stone and Law had his heart, and promised to kill him if he tried anything, but Caesar was more scared of the Straw Hats, who all looked ready to murder him in thousands of different ways!

-Law was the one to come up with an idea, as you were sitting in Usopp’s arms, while Luffy and Ace were trying to feed you, trying to get you to eat, after Chopper couldn’t come up with anything to get you out of this state.

-Chopper was hesitant, as was Robin, worried that this might make it worse, but they couldn’t argue with Law’s theory, that it could work and after going back and forth, Chopper agreed.

-You didn’t react with Chopper grabbed your arm gently, rubbing your upper arm with rubbing alcohol, before he poked you with a needle, filled with just some iron supplements, after Law told them how much blood Caesar had taken.

-You jumped, nearly out of Usopp’s arms, being shocked awake before you saw Chopper there, putting a bunny band-aid on you as tears welled in your eyes and quickly you were crying, finally breaking.

-While relieved you had finally broken out of shock, letting your emotions finally out, they could all tell, the way you were crying, that this wasn’t from the needle, but everything you had to live through in the past few hours, as you clutched at Usopp, your arms around his neck as he was trying not to tear up, hugging you tightly to him.

-As relief went through everyone, as you cried, slowly calming down, you saw everyone there, including the new faces. Kin’emon introduced himself, bowing at the waist and your eyes went sparkly, seeing the sword, “Are you a samurai?” he preened, looking a bit smug as he posed, telling you that he was before you met Momo, in his human form who came over to you, “I am pleased to see that you are alright, Miss Y/N!” you smiled sweetly at him and he turned bright red, something that quickly had the men in your life quickly surrounded by flames of rage, seeing this budding love.

-You then saw Law, who you remember rescuing you and you smiled, now more lucid, “Mr. Law!” he smiled softly, hearing the name, as he did try not to smile, but failed as he gave you a small wave in return. Nami was surprised, seeing you remember his name, as you had been pretty out of it, “You remember his name?”

-You nodded brightly, “I do- I remember Mr. Law because he had the cute polar bear! And he taught me this!” as you flipped the bird, Nami quickly made you stop, reminding you gently that it was a rude gesture while angry eyes turned to Law who had turned away, sipping his tea very loudly, wanting to disappear.

-Robin was the one to bring the mood down, but it’s not that she wanted to, “Y/N do you remember what happened?” you looked down, looking at your hands before you pushed the sleeves up, gasps coming from Momo and Kin’emon who were appalled to see the scars on your little body, as you saw the wounds were all healed.

-You swallowed hard, trying to fight off your tears, as you finally told them everything, from what Caesar did to you, and telling them about Overhaul, the man who was the first to do this to you, all those years ago, keeping you locked up and using your ability for his research, torturing you and keeping you under his thumb until you managed to escape and find Luffy.

-Everyone was stunned, hearing this, many were in tears, unable to process how someone was so cruel to someone so small.

-Ace wanted to badly to hug you, but his body was slowly turning flushed, his powers flaring up due to his anger, knowing he would hurt you, and Luffy wanted nothing more than to find this Overhaul and make him pay- hurting him ten times over to get payback, and to kill Caesar for touching you.

-Law was the one to tell everyone that Doflamingo ran Dressrosa, and that they needed to be extra careful to keep you safe, because Doflamingo was very dangerous, and if he wanted you, he was going to try to take you.

-Ace and Luffy just punched their fists together, grinning brightly at Law, speaking in unison, “‘Let him try!’” Law couldn’t help but shake his head lightly, the Straw Hats were all so tenacious, but then again, that was one of the few things he liked about them.

Todoroki Shoto Comfort Headcannons

In the beginning Shoto didn't really understand what to... do

He'd try to comfort you as best as he could but it just didn't work, and so he had to go get Izuku to help you.

For a while he felt guilty, beating up on himself for not being able to comfort you.

But then he asked for help. He talked to you, Izuku, Kirishima, Ochako, Momo, Tsu, Fuyumi, anyone to try and help you.

After a while of learning from multilple sources, he got better at it.

The next time you needed him he was able to help you, even though it was still a teeny bit awkward.

After a while of being together he was a pro at it.

Had a hard day at work?

He'd get you your comfort food, make a nest out of your favorite pillows and blankets, and put on your comfort movie/show.

While the two of you ate he would sit you on his lap, gently kissing your shoulders and cooing compliments and words of encouragement.

After food he'd pick you up bridal style, smiling down at you as he brought you to the couch, sitting you down and letting you get comfortable before he sits down himself.

He'd cuddle you until you fell asleep and even after that, eyes full of love as he watched you finally get the rest you deserved.

Were you stressing over the piling to-do list?

He'd hold you against his chest while you rambled, givingà your head an occasional peck.

If you needed to cry or scream, he would't judge. At all. He'd hold you while you got out whatever it is that youi needed to.

Afterwards, he'd look you in your eyes, hand proping up your chin.

"Y/n, my love. It will be alright, you don't need to worry so much. Just focus on me for tonight, yeah?"

He'd get you whatever you needed and hold you until you fall asleep.

After making sure you were fully asleep he'd slip out of bed, grabbing your phone on the way out.

Unlocking the screen, he'd look through your to-do list, writing down what he could do tonight and what he would have to wait for the morning to do.

After going through everything he locked your phone once again and plugged it back into it's charger, making sure to leave a kiss to your forehead before heading back out to start working.

If it could be done that night, he did it.

Needed to clean out the fridge? Done.

Needed to deep clean the bathroom? Check.

Needed to go xgrocery shoppingx? There's a 24-7 one half an hour away.

For the things that needed to get done in the morning he set an alarm, making sure he'd be up before you were so he could get those done.

He may have also turned off all of your alarms for the morning so you could sleep in..

It might have taken a while, but Shoto had mastered the art of being your biggest support and comfort. No matter what you needed, or when you needed it, he was always prepared.

MHA Headcanons #02

Ochako and Momo

Personally I would have loved if their motives were explored more in depth. Like why Momo, who is super duper rich, wanted to be a hero in first place?

And Ochako who always thought that it was shallow to be a hero just for money and Momo overhears it and berates her for coming to a hero school.

Think about it! An Ochako who is treated like an outclass by Momo and other rich kids because she comes from a rough background.

Momo especially gives her a hard time, saying that "She (Chako) doesn't belong here." and that causes a rift between them on the very first day.

Instead of making Momo all nice and kind I would have made her mean and judgemental. Plus, she thinks she is better than the rest because she was a recommended student and because of her quirk creation.

She is best friends with Asui instead of Jirou (because just like Momo, Asui is smart, strong, calm and has an amazing all rounder quirk while Jirou is just a rogue musician who goes along better with Ochako instead)

MHA really made a mistake by making them all nice and good girls who get along well with each other.

There could have been a lot of Jealousy involved between Ochako and Momo, because Ochako is your everyday cherry girl, that gets along with everyone.

She's friends with Deku, Iida, Jirou, Kaminari, Kirishima and the rest of the class minus Momo and the rich group (momo, Asui, Pony from class 1b)

Also, Momo is good friends with Pony Tsunotori. Ya know, the girl that was properly showcased in season 5? Has Horns and stuff?

She's a transfer student from America and has known Momo for a long time. They're childhood buddies.

But unlike Momo, Pony finds Ochako interesting and funny after season 5.

Momo is also friends with Bakugo whose parents are fashion designers and connected to Momo's family business.

Also, Momo's bg was never explored right? Wtf her parents do? How is she so rich? She has a family business? What kind? Give us a reason Hori.

This is all we have...

Momo's backstory HC: because she comes from such an established household, PERFECTION is expected of her!

So she is jealous of Ochako who gets to do, wear, eat and be with anyone she likes.

Momo's upbringing makes her rude, arrogant, judgemental and she's always giving everyone side eyes.

Ochako on the other hand is more easygoing.

OCHAKO: has a lot of friends and after sports fest, she becomes pretty popular in the entire school but Momo on the other hand, gets a reality check that despite being one of the recommended students she could not even make it to the semi - finals.

And just like in canon Todoroki lifts Momo up. It makes more sense this way.

Plus to rescue Bakugo, Ochako goes along with Momo, Deku and bunch during the Kamino arc and this was their first team up.

And as the story goes, they become better friends by understanding each other.

ATLA Live-Action Series

So.

I just finished the season, and there are some good things, and... some bad things :|

I have purposefully not engaged with what the rest of the internet think about it since it came out so keep that in mind. All I know is that it's not been well received and people hate the acting (all from other people telling me in person rather than me looking it up).

Let's start with what I consider the good bits:

Sokka is funny

Iroh is amazing as always

Zuko is pretty good, but specifically amazing with Iroh

Admiral Zhao is even more detestable

The bending looks pretty good (minus the ice sledding)

Iroh's backstory made me cry like the animated series (it's the goddamn music ok!)

The cabbage man makes an appearance

Firelord Ozai is cast and acted well

Suki is great

Ok, I think that's probably the extent of the actually good. Now for the absolute wreck that is the issues:

The removed Sokka's misogyny, a key aspect of his character development

Aang isn't running away from his duties as the Avatar (and doesn't at the start either), despite it being a key character trait he works through. However, everyone is gaslighting him into thinking he has been?

Katara and Aang are simply not acted well. They are the youngest cast members, but it's incredibly forced and not really written well to begin with.

Katara has become Gandhi. Well, is trying to be. She just keeps blurting out inspirational messages and not saying much else.

THEY CHANGED THE ORDER OF EVENTS. This doesn't have to be an issue, but it is when it's done in a way where story-lines no longer make sense. i.e. Sokka meets Suki before they go to the northern water tribe and meet Yue. Basically Sokka kinda cheated on Suki and just doesn't care. (There are several more examples of this)

Aang literally doesn't bend a single drop of water himself. As in, NOTHING (giant water monster doesn't count)

Katara and Aang don't end up getting trained at the Northern Water Tribe. Like. At all.

Katara is labelled a "Master Waterbender" and now has to train Aang???? Ummm, what?

Aang can just fly now. Glider don't glide, it fly. It woosh over continent in a single day!

That brings me to, WHAT EVEN IS TIME. Apparently going from a small village in the middle of nowhere to Roku's temple in the middle of the Fire Nation takes a day by glider (Katara and Sokka were just sleeping and weren't for long enough to worry about food or water)

Ozai is happy to sacrifice half his navy to "distract them while we take Omashu". Which is so far away from the Northern Water Tribe that the distraction wasn't needed.

I'm sure I have forgotten some atrocities, and there are several things that are ok that I haven't mentioned (Momo and Appa look fine) but overall, it's fine, I've watched worse shows, but it's not that great. Just watch it for Iroh.

Jo Dee gives me the absolute creeps more than the actual villians. She is so bloody unhelpful & her clearly strained grimace (that is supposed to be a smile) has made her a suspect to all of the Gaang 2.0 (minus Momo & Appa obviously. Suki & Zuko is Gaang 3.0)

Is she purposely doing a bad job hiding the strain & tension inside the walls? Katara & Sokka definetly saw some less friendly figures. Aang & Toph look like they are about to explode into anger by being locked up once again

This woman confuses me greatly? She is manipulative, for sure. Why is she barely hiding it though?

Chaeyoung: she's just a cool chick. Really chill, really outgoing and open minded. Doesn't let a lot of negativity get to her, thinks outside the box and is okay being different from others. She gives valley girl vibes

Mina: She has her mental issues, but something about her seems confident (she has the duality of being unsure/reserved and being confident/assertive). I think she's low-key a big flirt and more easygoing than she seems

Sana: I just like her. She's also a big flirt, type of person to know what it takes to get what she wants. Not afraid to put herself out there or garner attention. Although I do feel like she's the type to be really scary when upset. I doubt she gets angry easily but when she does, you don't want to mess with her

Dahyun: she seems very reserved, conservative , and a perfectionist. She could be quite the overthinker, constantly second-guessing herself. But she does give very motherly, kind vibes to me. Type of person to get enjoyment for caring for others, like a mom smiling at her babies while they eat her cooking . Definitely wifey material

Jihyo: she has a lot of insecurities and may get into relationships with men that don't treat her right. Idky I feel like she's the most likely to settle down with a guy she supports financially/emotionally/mentally. The other girls give off "rich men only" tease(besides Dahyun and her), but she may settle for less than she deserves.

Tzuyu: VERY dark energy. Quite insecure as well. She seems like she's constantly drowning in her own misery. For some reason, I get a vibe that her parents are to blame for why she is the way she is. Like a girl constantly told to not show emotion/react, don't show anything less than perfection. She reminds me of Elsa. "Conceal, don't feel."

Jeongyeon: A LOT of insecurities and dark thoughts as well. I wouldn't be surprised if she gets a lot of plastic surgery or something. Especially if she begins to lose her fame or she settles down. She does seem quite strongheaded and tough (but she may deep down get scared easily). Like someone who puts up a brave front.

Momo + Nayeon: These two give off Regina George vibes. Minus the senseless disrespect of others just for the fun of it. No. I think they both can be cruel, but for reason, even if the reason doesn't make them look good. I get very catty/shady/backstabbing energy from these two. I would say Momo's energy is a bit better than Nayeon's. Momo seems like the type to stop her behavior if she gets called out on it. While Nayeon is just who she is (I do respect how much Nayeon knows who she is, what she's about, and how to get what she wants). I think Nayeon is unapologetically her, and even if I think she's mean at times, I can't help but respect her strongmindedness.

Can we talk about Shigaraki for a minute?

In my opinion, I think Shigaraki is a fantastic villain. (Minus when Potato man took over and him being side lined rn.) Shigaraki goes from someone who was stunted in childhood to him being the most fear man in Japan, respects his league, cares for them, ACTUALLY listens to them, and is an actual threat, while making a valid point about Hero Society. Tell me why people read him so... fucking weirdly? People think Shigaraki still suffers from angry outbursts, doesn't give two shits about his league, and games all day. He isn't like that anymore. Dude was literally fucking calm when Toga had a knife at his throat. He lets his team speaks their minds, and gets others' outputs. Like, he DOES change. The reason why Shigaraki acted like a "man child" was because AFO literally stunted his growth on purpose. He had childish behavior because that's a result from trauma. He grows from it, and overcomes it.

Or people making him into an incel is just... gross. Or people just being grossly ablest, too. People being like "lololol Shigaraki is crusty he doesn't take care of himself he smells he's musty" which is... 1.) grossly ablest to people who have eczema/skin disorders. He looks "crusty" because has eczema scars. No amount of shitty, scented lotion will get rid of his scars, 2.) It's clear Shigaraki struggles with depression. Having depression rips you of the energy to do anything. Getting out of bed or showering is hard for some people. Minus this tagent, It really sucks AFO just kind of took over the role of the big bad when Shigaraki kept fucking say it's HIS dream, HIS path. Not AFO's. Even saying he HATED him. Tomura, you deserve better. Both within fandom and canon. 8-9 years of development, and this is what we're getting for the big show down?

I completely agree.

I've touched on this briefly before, but Shigaraki's character progression in Deika City was spectacular. It was great to see him reclaim the power that he was shunned for (and accidentally destroyed his family with) and evolve into a true leader. He was really coming into himself and working towards his own goal. Deika not only carried season 5 (season 5 was soooo bad), but it solidified Shigaraki as one of my favorite anime villains.

And then Horikoshi took away his agency by having AFO snatch his body😐 Him wanting AFO in the first place literally undid all the progress he had just made.

This is what I can't stand about Hori's writing. He'll introduce a character or concept or character concept and then completely disregard it moving forward (quirkless discrimination, corrupt society, quirk marriages, Momo's entire character, etc.). Someone said it in one of my reblogs; the manga introduces a bunch of interesting concepts, Hori just has nothing interesting to say about them.

Tomura definitely cares for the League. He says that what he wants is for his friends to be able to be free to do as they please. He was also infuriated over Magne's death. I think that they make him feel like he belongs and he has people to relate to and look after. He definitely thinks of them as friends

I think people underestimate the changes that need to be made to stories when adapting them to different mediums/structures and maybe if they understood, they wouldn't have such issues with scenes/character moments not being 1-1 adaptations.

The structure of episodes is really important when considering how the story will unfold and what to include in each episode. Every single episode needs struggles and payoffs, a goal and an accomplishment of that goal - especially in an episodic show like the animated ATLA. By necessity of this, each 20 minute episode is going to have a lot of stuff going on - and tons of issues cropping up where character can be shown. Also, it's common to only have one plotline being followed per episode per group of POV characters - often it's Zuko's plot (much less screen time) and the Gaang (more screentime).

When you only have 8 episodes, cramming all that in would make the episodes feel disjoined and cluttered. It would be a constant whiplash of 'small struggle, overcoming, small struggle, overcoming, small struggle, overcoming' and all those little struggles together might start to feel insignificant and like the plot is just trying to come up with something for the characters to be doing. An example that might have been frustrating is in the first episode of the live action, having Aang and Katara travel to go penguin sledding, then jump to the fire nation ship where they reveal Aang's been gone so long, then back to the village to yet again talk about how long Aang has been gone (to catch everyone up), then Aang leaves, then Aang comes back, then he's off on the ship, then Katara and Sokka have to figure out how to get Appa to work, then they go to the ship, they fight on the ship, Katara struggles to figure out how to waterbend, Aang goes into the Avatar state, they escape, they go to the southern air temple, Aang plays around, they figure out Avatar stuff, they chase Momo, Aang goes into the Avatar state again, Katara talks him down, then the goal of the narrative is introduced.

While that works spread across three whole episodes - episodes not meant to be watched back to back but rather week to week as well as the writers understanding that since this is a kid's show airing, it's possible the watcher has missed the episode before - it would not work for hour-long episodes intended to be binge watched. When the show is episodic and people might not be able to catch all of them, a unique issue needs to be introduced each episode and resolved that same episode (minus the few 2-parter storylines in the OG). It's just the nature of that sort of structure. Just like you wouldn't want a comic structure in a chapter book or a movie structure in a serialized show, different mediums require different structures.

So how to resolve this? We've got one hour to do all that in - so instead of having all that time traveling (or gods forbid just jumping to the next setting without any establishing shots/travel scenes), things need to be condensed: which means, take several individual actions that share a common theme - say, how a character reacts to certain issues, and combine it into fewer actions that flow in a single sitting rather than three individual ones. Not only condense individual scenes, but also weave together multiple plotlines that might have been in separate episodes, but share a common theme, and have them all occur simultaneously. This means that specific beats from each of the 20 episodes might not all fit in the episodes, but the spirit of those scenes can be adapted to fit with the situation that's at hand - I think episode 3 in the live action does this masterfully.

A specific example is moving Zuko and Aang's first one-on-one fight from his ship in episode 2 of the animated series to episode 3 in Omashu - combining that with the epic fight between them at the perfume place. Episode 1 had already had many fight scenes and one more might have blended in with all the others - setting this big, impactful fight aside for the moment until it could be…well, a moment, I think was a good choice. It was different, an adaptation, but it held true to the significance of the interaction as well as weaving in to the other storylines.

So again, the change of medium is going to necessitate many scenes to be altered to 'fit'. Though many scenes can be translated pretty closely to the animated counterpart, all of them won't be and if you think every single character beat being shown is a must in order to understand character, then just go watch the OG, a different structure just won't work for you point blank no matter how well it's done. Trust me, you do not want to try to just shift a 20 episode season into 8 episodes with no structural changes despite the raw run-times being similar - it would be bad. Like really bad.

Izuku Midoriya x Fem Reader

Summary: After being unexpectedly confronted by Izuku for dream walking, you deny doing so out of fear and a bit of embarrassment. That night, the class hung out to bond and get to know one another a bit better. Later, when you get a private moment with Izuku in your dorm, you confess to your feelings and invasion of privacy. The following day, you go out for breakfast and go to the gym with Izuku. You then get a confronting text from Mina about whether you and Deku are a thing.

You were taken back, your heart felt like it was going to pound out of your chest. Not only were you nervous because you did exactly what he accused you of but also because you looked like a hot mess. Not in the way Izuku looked though, he looked messy but in a very hot way minus the mess. Part of you was worried that he would be genuinely mad at the invasion of privacy but he was well within his right if so. You could not stop eyeing him up and down but did make eye contact.

“No, um I’ve been studying all night. Never even went to sleep,” you said pointing at your desk that was covered in assignments and textbooks.

“Oh uh- sorry I just had a really vivid. I guess I assumed because your quirk was- you know what, never mind sorry to wake you.

“I was already awake, remember?” you laugh nervously.

“Right well I have to go,” he said walking back to his dorm.

You felt bad for gaslighting him like that, but there was no way you were admitting to dreamwalking. When you got comfortable in bed, you passed out until around 6 p.m. You felt like a bear coming out of hibernation, stretching with a dazed look on your face. After a couple more minutes of rotting in bed, you get up and make yourself look presentable before entering the kitchen. All your peers were either in the common room or surrounding the kitchen island.

“Y|N! I was just about to wake you up, everyone decided we were going to have a game night. Sato is gonna bake some sweets while we decide what to play,” Mena said, locking arms with Momo.

“That sounds so fun, are we starting now?” you asked.

“No, I have to go to the store and pick up a couple of ingredients,” Sato replied.

After most of the boys left for the store, the girls ended up in Momo’s room, all sitting on her enormous bed. Most of you had a make-up bag in front of you, occasionally rummaging through the contents to find that one specific brush. The topic of conversation started out with being irritated about how much they limited make-up use during school hours. Then it turned into how much potential was in the air tonight. Feeling a bit of pressure to look good in front of the boys.

“Isn’t that a little sad, even sexist to make tonight about wanting to be eye candy for the boys? Do you really want to put that much work into yourself for a guy like Kaminari?” Jirou asked.

“Well for me, the weekend is the only time I can do my make-up full out. Like contacts and everything, so I do it for myself. Not to mention if I was dolling myself up for a boy it wouldn’t be for Pikachu,” you said, making a couple of other girls laugh and agree.

“Fair enough, just not my scene I guess,” She replied. The conversation then turned to class crushes, you were thankful you had a foundation. If not, you would have been bright red.

Mina ended up confessing that she and Kirishima shared a kiss in his dorm room while they were studying together. You were pretty shocked by this, I guess you assumed everyone was as preoccupied with school and training as you were. Nobody had anything to top that, other than Mineta’s invitations to study. It was like a domino effect, everyone was spilling their guts about their hidden feelings about certain peers. Most girls like either Todoroki or Bakugo which was to be expected, they were only getting better. When asked if you had a crush you explained that you were trying to focus on school which wasn’t entirely a lie. All the girls then dispersed to get changed into comfy pajamas, including yourself. You changed into a matching set of pjs, a simple black cotton tank top, and matching shorts. It had these cute baby blue-toned elephants printed onto them. You were pretty nervous about hanging out with Izuku after everything that happened. You felt like you were playing with his emotions, were you really about to flirt with him after gaslighting him this morning? Now that you were thinking about this morning, you couldn’t stop admiring how he looked. Like he literally rolled out of his bed and walked over to your door. Normally he was quite reserved with his appearance, he wasn’t the type of guy to tailor his style to show off his physic. I don’t know, you just felt like you saw him so raw and it gave you that weird feeling in your stomach. After throwing on some socks you made your way out into the common area. When everyone was starting to gather, Sato was pulling some type of baked goods out of the oven. You thought about sitting directly next to Izuku but you decided sitting directly across from him would be better. That way you would see his facial expressions or body language. God, you felt like such a weirdo.

Instead of playing a boring game, everyone sat around and talked. At first, many boys gave awkward compliments to the girls on their done-up appearances. Todoroki even asked if you were wearing contacts, and when you said yes he complimented how they looked. You and Izuku made direct eye contact right after which made you feel worse. Even if you weren’t crushing on Izuku, you wouldn’t like Todoroki. You just couldn’t with his monotone voice and dead stare. After that Sato starts talking about how if he weren’t in the hero course, he would love to own a bakery.

“I would do off-the-wall stuff, like trying to combine different combinations of pastries,” he said.

“Maybe once you go pro you can get an endorsement for a pastry company,” Sue said.

“If I weren’t doing this I would probably be a therapist. My quirk is dream walking so I could help people process some of their trauma by seeing exactly what they think about,” you said while taking a sip of your water bottle.

“Wow that’s so pure, I would just want to be a musician,” Jirou said.

The conversation then turned to each other's love interests, it was bound to happen sooner or later. The topic came into conversation when the girls were talking about different musicians they liked. Even the fictional ones like 4-Town from Turning Red which made all of you laugh. When the boys started roasting the girls about their types of men, you guys started asking what they liked about girls. They were saying stereotypical things, like natural makeup, long hair, comfy clothing, and things like that. Jirou pointed out that the only things they listed were physical, she then asked what they actually liked about girls.

“I’m a pretty clingy guy so I like a girl that wants to be with me a lot. Like if she goes to the gym and works out with me and stuff,” Kirishima said.

“Girls who have a really good sense of humor but not in a dark humor kinda way. Just girls who know how to be playful,” Sero said.

“I like girls who can communicate their feelings. It can be fun at first when you’re trying to dig through her emotions at first. It’s just nice when a girl knows when to be vulnerable with her thoughts. It sucks when you can’t see an opportunity due to a miscommunication,” as Izuku said, looking directly at you.

“Alright Deku didn’t know you were a women expert,” Kaminari said which made everyone burst into laughter. You were grateful for this because it took the attention off both of you.

Everyone then started to eat the treats that Sato made, which were incredible. He was blushing as your peers were showering him with compliments. You noticed that Izuku was walking back to his dorm, you threw away a cupcake wrapper and followed him. You caught up to him as he was opening his door. You tapped him on the shoulder, When you turned around he looked tired, his eyes were kind of puffy.

“Can we talk? Do you wanna come to my dorm?” you asked, his face turned a deep red as he shook his yes. You used the elevator to get to your dorm, using your key to let yourself in. You walked in before him and picked a couple of loose clothes that were on the bed, clearing a space for you guys to sit.

“I’m sorry that I wasn’t honest with you this morning. I did look into your dreams last night and I know I shouldn’t have and it was wrong. Trust me I’ve been feeling really guilty. I was just scared it would be awkward if I told you that I like you if you didn’t feel the same way. I know that’s not an excuse. I should have been more upfront,” you said, playing with your fingernail while keeping eye contact, to keep your apology sincere.

“It was such a vivid dream, I kinda figured you were probably lying, but I’m glad you’re telling me now. I think it’s pretty obvious that I like you,” he said.

“I don’t know, I kinda thought you had a thing for Uraraka. Everyone I talk to seems to think you guys both like each other,” you said.

“She’s a really smart and pretty girl but she just lacks a certain maturity. I see her more as a friend,” he said.

“Well, I’m thrilled that I came clean about it. I just want you to know that I am really sorry and I totally respect your privacy,” you said, setting your hand on top of his.

“Don’t sweat it, and speaking of dreams I’m glad I finally know what it looks like in here,” he said looking around.

Your walls were covered in posters, you didn’t use the overhead light. Instead, you had two yellow-toned lamps; one on your desk and the other in one corner of the room. You always kept your swamp cooler at 69, you couldn’t sleep if you got too hot. Your bed was covered in plushies, Izuku even complimented you on your All Might plush.

“Can I take you out tomorrow? We can grab breakfast and then go to the gym after if that sounds good to you,” he offered.

“Yeah, what time should I be ready?” you asked.

“Is 8 am okay?” he asked.

“Yeah I can’t wait,” you said, as you walked him out, you gave him a kiss on the cheek before he left.

As you were washing the makeup off your face, you had an overwhelming sense of relief now that you had come clean. Not to mention you now knew for sure that he liked you and you were going on a date tomorrow morning. It was times like this that you were grateful for doing all your homework at the beginning of the weekend. After Izuku left, you got ready for bed and fell asleep. Your alarm clock is what wakes you up in the morning. It was 7:15 a.m., giving you 45 minutes to get ready. You didn’t need much time because it wasn’t like you were gonna wear makeup to the gym. After changing into some workout clothes, you go on your phone to pass the time. Hearing the knock on the door made your heart pound so hard, that your head began to hurt for just a second. When you were walking down the hall, you couldn’t help but admire his appearance. He looked sleepy in his eyes and his hair was wild. His tee shirt was tight and really showcased the muscle mass in his arms and back. You stopped at a little food stand and bought a couple of things, both of you knew working out on an empty stomach can suck. You stop at a little coffee shop and sit at a booth together while you eat. Making small talk back and forth about different moves they are trying to master and what type of workouts they prefer.

“I’ve been working on my legs a lot lately so I wanted to focus on my arms and core today,” Izuku said.

“I’ve been doing a lot of cardio, Aizawa has been having me do nothing but strength training while I’m in class. So I try not to push myself too hard when I go to the gym,” you said taking a bite of your breakfast sandwich.

“Yeah that makes sense, have you noticed your training helping in your combat,” he asked, taking a sip of his (practically all creamer) coffee.

“Oh yeah, my endurance is so much better. I feel a lot stronger with my attacks and can fight for longer periods without getting winded,” you said.

“I noticed that you’ve been getting really good at that one drop kick you do,” he said, laughing a little.

“You’ve been watching me?” you joke playfully.

“Maybe a little,” he said, which made your stomach flip.

The walk to the gym was quiet; In fact, you didn’t really talk most of the time you were together. Izuku wanted to focus on weights whereas you wanted to use the treadmill for cardio. At first, you thought it would be weird to go to the gym together as a date and then be separated the entire time. However, you realized how attractive he looked while lifting weights after a while. He normally had a charming look on his face but when he was working out he looked so concentrated and almost angry. His face was bright red and his chest was rising and falling so rapidly. He was sweating As you were taking a break for water you noticed you had a message from Mina that read:

- Sleepless Night Talk -

This is a gift for @whipplefilter / @bleachbleachbleach as a part of @hitsuhina-week Gift Exchange event :D

Yes, I decided to give this artwork a title, and it's a pretty straightforward one ^^

This is basically a mashup of the requested prompt "Junrin'an Days minus bad weather" + "TYBW Missing Scene". I personally find it hard to came up with a sketch if I only choose between one of them, so I hope you don't mind :'D

Moving on to the art itself, I kinda have a feeling that there are certain days during their childhood where Momo (and actually Toshiro too, but the older won't admit it) have trouble when it comes to sleep due to several factors. Either she overheard an urban legend story from children around their neighborhood, or her reiatsu is starting to activate and is getting stronger that temperature around her makes her uncomfy. Toshiro would try to calm her down with any possible activities, but mostly talking about random things - quietly because of course they don't want to bother Granny - that makes her forgetting her sleeping problem in the first place, and then finally feel her eyes getting heavier. Of course he will be the one that sleep the last.

The sleeping problem is getting worse as they grow up, being shinigami authorities and all, they have newer problems to face and anxieties that hardly leaves their mind. But the way they overcome the sleepless night never change, by having deep yet calming talk and self-reflections. Sometimes it's being accompanied with warm teas and a plate of amanatto ^^

The bottom scene is interpretation-free, I'll leave the audience to have their own preferable timeline when it was happen in TYBW (after Fullbringer/Before 2nd Invasion/Post-Quincy War but not too far, maybe close to WDKALY) and what are they talking about here :D

you knew she had some twisted intent on showing-- after all you get to choose the photographer you book. that intent was hidden, however, probably buried deep in her mind, her egging you on to dig it up.

you let out a deep sigh, ignoring her beauty, and instead focusing on the camera capturing it. you'd mentally decided to put the camerawoman next to you in charge.

"this is myoui mina, she's a renowned figure skater and we've decided to put her as our feature of this month. make her look real pretty" the woman behind you said, trying to give some information to the two of you, not knowing you and partner dahyun knew her well.

you huffed, turning attention back to your camera, only daring to take one peek from over it, seeing the skater now smiling in your direction, causing a shudder to run down your spine.

"let's call break!" dahyun grinned-- while it was faux, it still presented warm and true to all in the room minus you; who knew her too well to fall for a forced smile. you watched as she turned to you, eyes expressing frustration, only lasting a second of eye contact before dragging you off to another room.

once arriving in the empty breakroom, only lacking people due to the mina in the room next door, answering all questions from workers with a gummy grin, dahyun ran her hands through her hair.

"what does she think she's doing here?" she huffed, starting to pace in circles as you sat down on the less-than-comfortable couch.

"i'm not sure, dahyun. but i'm letting myself get fired for choking here and screwing up the shoot." you replied, grabbing the phone from your back pocket, seeing several missed texts from another close friend and coworker.

"hell, we might as well screw it up. she has no right to walk into your workspace and prance around." the younger argued, stopping her pacing to face you.

"in reality, she does. if she wants to prance let her, i'm not letting it affect me how she wants it to." you shrugged, opening the messages and swiping through them.

after what felt like centuries, constant complaints of "i don't look good" and "maybe a different pose is better" finally subsided, and you could wrap up the shoot.

you watched as she bowed, only before locking eyes with you walking on over as if it was casual. your breath hitched, heart beginning to race, hands clenching your pants and letting go repeatedly.

"you're an excellent photographer, y/n." she smiled, hand reaching yours for a handshake. on most occasions, you'd refuse her, but to not cause a scene, you gave in.

her hands were warm, soft, and nothing less than familar, the handshake-- that at this point was more of a holding, lingered as she continued,

"maybe we could grab a coffee to talk about our next shoot? it is next week after all." she hummed, giggling at the shock in your eye as your hand stiffened.

"n-next shoot?"

I hate........how sexualizing teenage superheroes is the norm in the superheroes fandom at large.Forgive me for traumadumping ig but i have really strong feelings on this as an autistic adult with a special interest in superheroes at large themselves and itself as a genre

My first hero spin was Big Hero 6.By the time it came out,i was 13 so i was allowed internet access no problem and naturally i went looking all over for content of literally everything about it but my favorite character was Hiro so he was what i searched for the most and he was LUDICRIOUSLY objectified and fetishized for his wasian heritage and when the series came out,he got an official love interest named Karmi who's 16 to his 14 and she got tons of hate from Hiro x Gogo and Hiro x Honey shippers despite them not only being college aged to his again,FOURTEEN years but we got explicit ages for them in season 2 when the Nerd Gang minus him gratuated from SFIT so they're canonically TWENTY ONE(i feel it's an important sidenote that Karmi's brownskin with a hooked nose and her VA is indonesian/chinese mixed so her heritage is obvious and as to how it contributed to her reception vs easian Gogo and blonde light-eyed Honey)

My second one was Bnha and there's been tons of discussion about the base's problem with the UA students and Himiko and i thank everyone who's posted about it deeply but my specific one is that my otp of the series was and will always be Shouto and Momo aka Todomomo even if i'm not nearly as into Bnha as i used to be because they were the first ship i actively made content for and it lasted years and that combined with me headcanoning them as bi4bi,t4t and autistic4autistic helped my egg crack and realize my own autism big time so their relathionship eternally has a big place in my heart

This means i've witnessed grown ass people saying Shouto almost touched Momo's boobs in that cap where he stopped her during their Aizawa fight(and his hand didn't even land on her chest)as a running thing and same for him acting as a macho man who rules over her body so she can't wear what she wants or exist near other men,including BAKUGOU who Momo HATES IN-TEXT,or have conflict with him because he'll just 'put her in her place as his woman' and Momo who's thee 'silk hiding steel' character and has adultification trauma that triggers her anxiety as the plot of the Todomomo starter 'Yaoyorozu Rising' with Shouto helping her with words of affirmation,healthy communication and good boundries on both sides that became the foundation of their dynamic throught the whole franchise,manga and extras,is reduced down the 'the class mom to Iida's class dad' as if she's ever even looked in his general direction and when she's rightfully earned her place as Shouto's best friend alongside Izuku himself and that is INSANELY imppressive taking into account her limited screentime.All i wanted was them being goth bf x pastel gf and getting to heal their inner child together and what i got was a nsfw Todomomo week on twitter and a certain artist drawing Momo/Dabi as an 'April Fool's' joke MULTIPLE YEARS in a row because he's also a Todoroki so it's also Todomomo lololol and i also did her with Natsuo and Fuyumi,i'm so funny!The only good thing to come out of that i started spite headcanoning Momo and Dabi as found siblings and platonic soulmates and realized i was actually on point

Then i watched Batman:Under The Red Hood when i was 19 and Jason became a character i selfship with romantically so i did the logical thing and started reading comics,starting with his.Did you know it's canon that while he dosen't exactly hunt them down specifically,he hates pedophiles and incesters so he once targeted a teacher because he was csa'ing one of his student's and expressed disgust at the thought of kissing any of his brothers based off them being brothers?You wouldn't know either of these things off fanon alone,you'd think he was creepy older guy who seeks out younger people on purpose when he dosen't seek anybody out period and that's his canon relathionships coping mechanism and it's also canon he couldn't talk to girls and pushed a guy off a roof for running a sex ring as Robin.As ROBIN,a fucking 11-15 year old Jason had that much of a moral backbone and willingness to take action in it yet everyone thinks he'd date a CHILD,even HIS OWN UNDERAGED SIBLINGS,with taking advantage of them as the appeal

I absolutely loved Into The Spiderverse as an afrolatino like Miles who was a troubled kid like he is too and i thought Gwen was super good too and Peter B's another character i selfship with romantically so naturally i was hyped for Across and the first thing the fandom did when the trailer dropped?Make a hyperpopular meme where that sweet,soft,wholesome scene where Gwen gets cheeky and looks through Miles' sketchbook and sees he's so in love with her he dedicated it's entierty to her just existing as herself into him seeing her as nothing but a sexual object with degrading features she does not have and it was a sick joke on Gwen because the boy she loves just wants her for sex and not even for what she actually looks and that just makes it even worse!!!Then there's the equally pure implied thing they did of her either stealing Hobie's sweaters because he makes her feel safe after her abusive dad kicked her out for being trans or him giving them to her to borrow as affection that ALSO got twisted into Gwen being nothing but a sex object,by people who see Hobie's age interpretation not even as a minor but in his 20s unlike how actual Ghostpunks do!!!!!!!,and don't think i haven't seen the Margo shit calling her 'thicc' and turning the girls into Miles' 'harem'

And the thing that made realize this is that it's always been like this is when i went looking for Teen Titans screenshots,first Starfire and Blackfire for me and my little sister and then ones of the animated Titans in general for my little brother because he did an edit-redraw of our DC self-inserts together using one so i got excited at how good it was and decided to ask for a few more since we have friends who have DC ocs too and we're all doing a canon rewrite fixit with them but the first results were fucking incest softcore porn and TOO DAMN MUCH horny Bbrae fanart.One of the friend's in question is like another brother to me and he's 17 and he thought there was nothing wrong with Jason/The Fenton Siblings because when i said find it triggering just in general,he tried to explain that i was 'making the wrong assumption' because a lot of people age up Danny and Jazz and he'd learned that from older DPDC fans.They literally groomed him and i'm so glad i met him and helped him unlearn that shit before he could get hurt

If your 5+headcanon AU ask game is still open, AU where Inko worked as a maid for Momo’s family until she left but, returns back with little to no explanation and a baby Izuku.

Mama Yaoyorozu was devastated when Inko left because she was extremely good at her job (the maid equivalent of Sebastian in Black Butler, minus the murder and the whole demon thing). When she comes back, carrying a baby on her hip, she simply asks if she can get her job back. Mama Yaoyorozu accepts and never dared to ask any question.

I need to make it clear that working for the Yaoyorozus is extremely well-paid. If you work a year for them, you can put your kids through a decade of fancy US colleges.

The Yaorozus have so much staff that they have a daycare outside the mansion for their children. Izuku soon becomes known as the kid who keeps escaping said daycare because he misses his mom. He became friends with Momo while wandering in the mansion and they soon become best friends.

Inko almost never leaves the Yaoyorozu estate, never goes to Izuku's school, dyes her hair, and probably goes by another name.

Izuku got mad skills in term of organization, cleaning, etiquette, and so on.

Anime community especially MEN is wack pls I’m begging y’all just say u hate women and MOVE ON it’s getting EMBARRASSING how blatant misogyny is showing or just watch the BARBIE 2023 movie (aka feminism/the patriarchy broken down in the simplest terms possible) 🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️‼️‼️

I’m an adult woman and have broken down my internalized misogyny that plagued me as a child in the anime community aka I got over the whole “Sakura is useless” thing which was lowkey funny 10 years ago but is NOW very much giving off hating women vibes.

Like as an adult I can wholeheartedly say that I do not expect men to be able to write female characters properly. Hence as a baseline all female characters r automatically considered “cool” until they prove otherwise bc ik for a fact that their faults r due to the author. Especially in anime where we’ve seen over and over again how female characters lack where their male counterparts prosper. (I’m an anthropology student and I very much want to write a dissertation on sexual repression/misogyny in Japanese culture bc I recently visited and YIKES but that’s irrelevant rn lol).

It’s very much disappointed but not surprised and I will say that in the Shounen category it’s gotten a lot better (such as chainsaw man✨chefs kiss✨ or JJK) where female characters are just like the protagonist aka normal ppl without the whole tsundere archetype that’s automatically assigned to female characters (I cannot help but think that archetype was created by men’s lack of comprehension of women eventually turning into comedic violence. Which in a meta viewpoint means that women have to be physically strong/inhibit violence in order to be a “strong” character/stand beside their male counterpart. Which is just untrue and annoying god I hate that archetype). There’s definitely been an improvement of women just being goofy and unhinged and I love that (once again Power), and I can’t help but think that Naruto was probably a big influence in that.

Say what u will about the series but Naruto was definitely a pioneer/classic archetypes for modern shounen. My babygirl Sasuke is the OG angsty-dark haired boy in a trio ft the MC and main girl, the traumatized aloof teacher, tournament arcs, etc. Part of that influence is also learning from the mistakes of the series, specifically the most prominent female character aka learning to write women from Kishimoto’s mistakes.

Idk I feel like it’s just so hard to be a woman and watch anime only bc the female characters are so lacking most of the time. Once again there have been improvements but it feels like we’re doing a “congrats u’ve done the bare minimum” or there’s themes of feminism/foreshadowing development but that’s basically dropped. For example: BNHA all the girls in 1-A have the exact same personality (minus Jirou). They’re all cheerful, bubbly, nice and it’s not bad it’s just fucking BORING like it would’ve been a lot more entertaining to have a somewhat female Bakugo or even Mirko-like personality in the class. Or ooooh give me a misunderstood MEAN GIRL (Ao No Flag QUEEN MAMI I LOVE HER SO MUCH‼️😩😩). In BNHA in the beginning there was definitely the theme of treatment of female heroes that was gonna be set up but dropped. Ex: Momo being sexualized (another discourse), Bakugo vs Uraraka and how Bakugo was being booed for not holding back on a girl, etc….

“Sakura is useless” = “blank is a better love story than Twilight” in my head….truly just say u hate teenage girls/ANY activity girls enjoy (I will never forgive ppl for making fun of girls for buying hydro flasks) and move on the conversation is tiring and BORING. Aka I love Twilight UNIRONICALLY and ironically like 7th grade me was a die hard STAN and I love that about myself which made living thru the active 2012 twilight era painful. Even my king Robert Pattinson said hating twilight isn’t cool anymore 🫡🫡🫡

Flashfoward I think I’m more than qualified to say that to ME Sakura is just okay. I will argue there’s only 4 well written female characters in Naruto (TSUNADE, KONAN, Karin and Kushina). Like even if I wasn’t a diehard SNS shipper I feel like overall she’s just aight, once again I’m kinda just neutral on her bc she’s just kinda there up until that ridiculous war arc that I semi refuse to believe exists. I have OPINIONS on the whole “new age Sannin/Team 7 dynamic” that everyone loves but feels like lazy writing.

Not saying anything to fanfic writers or Sakura Stans bc y’all do u, but I feel like it says a lot in a sad way how Sakura is shipped with every single male character in the series or how in fanfic she’s given Mokutan or part of a clan (which admittedly is very fun to think about). I can’t help but feel that she’s such a blank slate that u really CAN ship her with every character and it would somehow work. For example: could you do that to someone like Sasuke? I mean if ur a talented enough writer than SLAY but for the most part Sasuke has such a defined personality and VALUES that it’s HARD. Or Sakura is born into a clan and given a cool jutsu (which kinda disregards the point of her character: being one of the only Civilian born kids/normal person in her whole class thrown into the terrible and cruel world of Naruto and having to actually work to even SURVIVE not to mention trying to “catch up” to an Uchiha and the 9 tails). Once again fanfic writers you do you I’ll eat that shit up no cap LOL
