Every once in a while I remember the not-at-all-subtle “pray the gay away” thing from Miracle Workers: Oregon Trail and I just. I just have to sit with that for a while. That whole episode was just so. Like the allegory was SO thinly veiled it’s just Right There in your face and I love it. It’s so thinly veiled that I have to believe they’re just straight up telling us Zeke is queer as well.

Tell me about your favorite show and why it's your favorite! Need some recommendations and you tend to have good taste

Well it depends on what you’re looking for but in short form

The first 6 seasons of King of the Hill-great piece of Americana down to earth storytelling and despite conservative packing it’s surprisingly progressive and follows a conservative man learning to adapt to progress ideals in an ever changing America. Pro gay, pro sex worker, pro therapy and working on trauma, pro native American land reclamation, etc.

New American Dad-Anything past season 4 but I would recommend a start in season 7. It’s a great surrealist art piece about the modern American family and is surprisingly very into keeping its characters nuanced and consistent but only for the funny

Big City Greens-It’s like being wrapped in a warm hug that spits out a new shitpost every two minutes

Neds Declassified-Too many people skipped on it as kids and it’s one of the best kid oriented sitcoms ever written. Some of Scott Fellows finest work.

Total Drama 2023-Short, smart, and sweet while understanding the kids today better than anyone else

Final Space-Really funny and quite sweet though I’d stop after season 2

Parks and Recreation-A darling show that’s equal parts funny and so endearing. Better than the office that predated it.

What We Do in the Shadows-It’s fresh, it’s funny, it’s got no straight characters what more could you want?

Miracle Workers-If I can recommend anything it’s for sure this one. A group of some of the most talented actors of all time get together every season in a different setting playing different characters as they bounce off each other and make any story a laugh riot. The first season has Steven Buscemi play god, the second has Daniel Radcliffe play a Prince who’s country is on the brink of war, and the third has the gang on the Oregon trail and features Daniel Radcliffe doing a burlesque routine in short shorts and go go boots.

Oh, somewhen around the time I first listened to this statement I also watched Miracle Workers - Oregon Trail and it made me think, if this was a common trope for stories with the Oregon trail? To have misjudged snowy weather and being forced to cannibalism?

I have heard that people from Oregon pointed out that Jon (as Archivist) pronounced "Oregon" wrong (like a non-Oregonian) and during the statement (as Mrs. Carlisle) he pronounced it right. I've tried to compare it (1:10 and 2:56) and I don't hear any difference xD Then again, I'm not a native speaker. Anyone here able to shine a light on that?

Carlisle, same name as the man upstairs, Toby Carlisle, in MAG 18. Which was also a Flesh statement.

Does this make Benjamin sus? Was it somehow already his goal to end up mingling with the Flesh? Or was he really just a bit of an impulsive, but goodhearted guy?

"All told, I feel I more than earned my bacon." - And yet she didn't want that bacon in the end xD

"So I just had to sit there, watching Eustace Wick building a fire as Benjamin tried to suppress his shivers and make conversation with the man who he still did not realize had turned from our guide into our captor." - This behavior could well play into the question, whether Benjamin wanted all this to happen.

Oh again my favorite ambiance track! That one makes me so happy!

That climax in the cave, Eustace killing Benjamin, Mrs. Carlisle killing Eustace and the dead Benjamin pleading his wife to eat him is soooo good!

"What interests me most is how this unsigned letter, if it is to be believed, made its way from an icebound cave in Wyoming or Idaho all the way to the personal collection of Jonah Magnus." - Hmm… unused foreshadowing? Or does anyone know where this leads?

I mean, Jonny does pronounce Gerard two different ways in the same episode so I’m not sure the mispronunciation of Oregon is intentional. It might be though, I have no idea what goes on in his head.

My Opinion on;

Character(s) in general: I haven’t seen Miracle Workers: Oregon Trail at all (so I can’t say much about the characters), but I’ve seen tidbits here and there and a synopsis/general explanation of the show and I’m interested that Ezekiel is the main character! I also like the crazy scenarios he can get into, hehe! The show in itself is pretty funny (due to it being a comedy), so I’m excited to watch it when I get the chance! Honestly if I watch the show I’m taking Benny the Teen as a muse, you watch-

How they play them: I’ve seen how you RP Zeke and I feel that you have that witty, comedic tone like the show has with writing him! I also like that you have your own spin on him when it comes to writing with crossovers/other characters ad I admire that a lot!! Love seeing his relations with Shu (@/starofvirtue) as a sort of father/son type of thing and it’s great!! 

The Mun: You are really cool, mdude! We haven’t really talked a LOT for me to know you well enough, but I like how we jive together and how we and the others in the server get along so that is very nice!! You’re also very considerate and understanding of things and I get excited when you send me asks/etc.! <3

RP with them: I do, sort of. I don’t have a lot of threads with them but I do have a couple with Zeke and Frollo (which I’ll get to when Frollo muse comes back)
