finally bit the bullet and designed a bee!Marinette!
she’s based off a dwarf honeybee (apis florea) which have a distinctive redish coloring. I thought it would be fun to play around with what colors a bee miraculous holder could have on their suit. I’ve seen others with blue and orange before and thought that red could also be a sort of homage to her ladybug red

Marinette knew Chat Noir better than the back of her hand. She knew the ways he flicked his tail to express his emotions. She knew how much of a senseless flirt and romantic he was. She knew almost every line from him was another pun that would put most fathers to shame.
What she didn’t know was how most of what she knew about him was thrown out the window when Mister Bug was transformed.
“Are you alright, Marinette?” A red polka dotted hand was held out to her, with serious green eyes observing. Gingerly she placed her hand in his.
“Yes, thank you… Mister Bug?” She stood up, removing her hand from his to dust off her leggings. Just her luck that she de-transformed and ran into him (literally) before having the chance to change back. She half expected Mister Bug to playfully bow and kiss her hand in a flirtatious greeting.
Instead the blond boy waved.
“That’s me.” His smile was.. Awkward? It soon dropped as he looked past her to the street, eyes searching the surroundings. “Say, by any chance have you seen a stray cat running around? Long braided hair? Goes around by the name Lady Noire?”
Oh right, we need to swap our miraculous back-
Marinette quickly hid her hands behind her back.
“Oh..Oh! Lady Noire ahaha,” Play it cool, Mari. “She’s… I think I saw her heading towards the eiffel tower.” That should give her enough time to transform and race him there.
“Really?” He glanced behind him towards the Eiffel tower questioningly. “I could have sworn I saw her go this way…”
Swinging back and forth on her feet with a reassuring smile. “Nope. She definitely went that way.”
“Alright. Thanks Marinette.” He grabbed the yoyo off his hip, walking away as he started to spin it around. As soon as she thought he was about to swing away, the yoyo stopped.
He turned to look at her. “Are you about to go home?”
“No.. I mean, yes!” It was a convenient excuse as to what she was doing in the middle of Paris alone at least. Not that she needed an excuse but it sure as hell beats ‘I’m just about to meet you at the eiffel tower! Don’t rush or anything.’
“Awesome, It’s on the way! I’ll take you there.” Suddenly he was by her side before she could protest, putting his arm around her waist in a strong grip. The panic started to claw at Marinette's throat.
“No, no, it’s ok Mister Bug!” She tried to push away, albeit not strong enough against someone in a super suit. “I don’t want to bother you anymore than I have! I can just walk, or take the subway, or the bus!”
He smiled down at her gently. “Nonsense Marinette. It’s the least I can do for my favorite citizen.”
The yoyo in his hand started to spin again.
“Thought superheroes weren’t supposed to have favorite citizens?”
She felt him shrug against her. “Suppose that just means you're extra special.”
Suddenly they were in the air, zipping around the streets of Paris in a way which felt so familiar and foreign to her. The air rushing past her face, the tug and pull of directions. The weightless shift in movement. With her as ladybug, she arched smoothly in a repeatable pattern. Downwards then up, downwards then up. With Chat Noir- Or rather, Mister Bug, the pattern felt backwards. Up and down, up and down. She wasn’t in control of the yoyo. Somehow this both frightened and excited her.
The route they took wasn’t at all what Marinette was used to either. As they traveled in silence she couldn’t help but take note of every little comparison. The preferences of swinging around the rooftops and streets closer to her home instead of subtly going through the alleyways was very evident.
Soon enough they landed on her balcony.
With both feet on the ground and reassurance that Marinette was stable, Mister Bug moved his arm away.
“Thanks for the lift home.” She smiled, feeling the sudden lack of warmth against her side. Seeing his returned smile almost made up for it however.
“It was nothing.” His eyes widened. “Not that it was nothing! Just that I, I meant, it’s ok! Not that it was just ok, but that, it’s-” His hands scrambled around in the air searching for the right words. Marinette placed a hand on his shoulder, giggling softly. He took a breath. “Just, you’re welcome.”
The silence in the air seemed both stiff and warm at the same time. Her partner, so familiar to her yet currently, was practically a stranger at this moment. Hesitantly she moved her hand away.
“Did you.. want to come in for some macarons?” She vaguely gestured to the trap door behind her. Mister Bugged frowned in response, shaking his head.
“Ordinarily I would love some treats from the best bakery in Paris. But unfortunately I have a cat to catch.” Sighing, he let the yoyo loosely hang from his hand. “Next time, I promise.”
Marinette wanted to smack her forehead. Right, the miraculous needs to be swapped. Why did she keep forgetting?
“I’ll.. see you around then?”
“Hopefully with a tail and claws instead.” She replied.
He laughed. “And no ears? Their the best part!”
“Debatable.”
With a wide grin, which felt oddly charming without the signature sleazy cat smirk, he shook his head and pulled himself up onto the balcony railings.
“Au revoir, Marinette.” He waved. The action completely unlike the silly bow and salute he would normally give. “See you soon.”
“Au revoir, Mister Bug.” And just like that, he let his yoyo fly out into the street and zip away towards the eiffel tower.
“Oh, if only you knew how soon.” She smirked.
When she was sure he was completely gone, she transformed back into Lady Noire and pushed herself into the air with the batton. The lingering thoughts of the akuma battle earlier and her interaction with Mister Bug rattling in her brain as she raced towards her destination. She knew Chat Noir better than the back of her hand. Yet seeing this side of him opened up to new thoughts. Perhaps she didn’t know him quite as well as she thought she did.

The bee protects the ladybug better then the cat ever could
So... this was a request made by Anon. I have been meaning to post it but now here I am doing it at long last.
I hope you all enjoy this piece!
Marinette realised she fell out of love towards Adrien once she understood she was in love with Chloe's half sister Zoe. It had been a huge shock to her but Tikki was able to calm her down enough that she was able to think over things... and understand that changes needed to be done in her life. As a result, she got rid of every single picture she had of Adrien in her room and donated all of the gifts she made for Adrien after getting rid of his schedule.
Once all of that was done. She decided to redo her room a little bit with the decor... and who better to ask for help then Zoe! It was perfect! She could ask her to come help her pick things out and then invite her over to help her redo her decor. Which is what she did, while nervous of course Mari stuttered out her request of Zoe helping her buy some new decor for her room after school... and the blonde accepted making Mari very excited to the answer. Which resulted in them having a fun time together doing some shopping.
When they were done, Mari asked Zoe if she was free to come over tomorrow... she wanted her opinion on where to place the new decor and she happily accepted "I think it would be a fun thing to do together. Then we could take a walk together" she offered which made Mari even more excited about tomorrow. She was freaking out on how things were going "What if she asks me out! Or I ask her out or even better we do it at the same time!?" She said as she flopped on her bed with a smile on her face.
Tikki found it nice that her bug and Pollen's bee were bonding so well at the moment... for in the past, some of Plagg's cats would never let it happen so Plagg had to start keeping them away so it can happen. Later that day, Mari drops off the bee miraculous in Zoe's room to make Vesperia an official member to the team... she could only hope that Cat Noir would be alright with this... last thing she wants is a temper tantrum from him, the next day. Zoe arrives and goes up to Mari's room.
The two get to work quickly since Zoe had come up with a few ideas for them to use to decorate Mari's room, it actually made things go faster than they thought... so when they finished... the two went on there walk together. Mari was of course internally screaming... but it got worst when Zoe took hold of her hand... resulting in Mari blushing like crazy... and also stuttering out both her feelings and asking Zoe out on a date. Of course, Zoe laughed and claimed she was cute and funny... but accepted both her feelings and the date request.
People watched as Mari had a slight freak out of joy in silence... while Tikki and Pollen laughed at the whole thing...
So... the two girls walked into school as a couple the following week. People found them cute and Alya began calling them 'Zoenette' which made them blush. Chloe at one point took Mari away and gave her the "If you hurt my sister's heart in any way I will hurt you and ruin your life" talk and Mari not only had a freak out... but Zoe had a fight with her sister when they got back to the hotel. Chloe to Mari's shock apologized the next day and offered to take her out shopping after school which she accepted since Sabrina was nodding to her to agree.
Adrien however... didn't like this. Even though everyone thought the two girls were cute together... he didn't think they should be together... the same went for Vesperia and Ladybug. The two started not only dating but working more together! Alya had made a poll about there ship name being either 'Ladyria' or 'Vespebug' and he hated it all to be honest. he believed they were making a mistake and that 'LadyNoir' was meant to be no matter what in the end... but no one wanted to listen to him.
So he decided to start with Zoe and Marinette... and what better way they to claim Zoe like her sister Chloe...
He was avoided like the plague. He couldn't believe it didn't work, Lila tried to help him with a few lies... but it quickly backfired when Chloe and Sabrina revealed she was a liar... scared for her life and not wanting to face her actions, she ran back to Italy to be safe... which caused everyone who gave her money for stuff or to donate... wasn't getting it back at all which caused them to be upset with her. But before she left she revealed to them the one truth she would say "Adrien and Marinette were the only ones who knew I was a liar. You all turned your backs on her when she tried to reveal me and Adrien kept quiet" this caused them all to feel betrayed by him.
He lost his friends without ever knowing why. Zoe and Mari on the other hand were very happy now that Lila was gone... this left Vesperia and Ladybug for him to stop. He found out that they were going on a date together when he was on patrol... so he planned to ruin it... but he missed it due to a photoshoot his father had for him. As a result... Mari revealed herself to Vesperia which resulted in there relationship being stronger than before... and 'Vespebug' became there ship name.
Adrien was of course pissed off at the fact he failed to allow the four to be in relationships in the end. Believing he still had a chance he stormed over to Mari's place, he went to her room "You need to leave Zoe Marinette! I'm telling you she's just like Chloe! This sweet and nice thing is an act! Once she get's what she want's from you she will leave you while laughing!" he claimed with the great hope she would believe him... but instead he was kicked out of the bakery by her angry parents while Mari screamed from her balcony to stay away from her.
He tried the same thing as Cat Noir to Vesperia... but she kept her distance every time he tried to talk to her. What he didn't know is that Mari tried calling her but ended up calling Chloe by mistake... she of course quickly told Zoe who ran to be by her girlfriend's side to comfort her. As a result, there were problems between them during akuma battles that the public noticed pretty quickly and began to worry that something was wrong... they began to ask questions which annoyed Adrien as it wasn't any of there business in the first place, but then he had enough and did an interview for Nadja.
She brought it up and he... lied, he claimed that Ladybug and Vesperia were fighting over something and to mind there own business now. This angered many as they were worried for them and wanted things to get back to normal... and claimed he was being a jerk for telling them that, but he believed he had a right to say what he said... until it backfired on him when Ladybug and Vesperia gave Alya an interview to tell the truth, they were in her living room and they spoke "Cat Noir lied about the problem... the truth is he is the problem" Ladybug explained "He tried to lie to me about Ladybug being in love with him and that I was in the way of them being together. He also claimed that she and I weren't a match and that I needed to leave the team" Vesperia explained.
They talked a bit more about the situation but in the end it caused Cat Noir to be greatly hated by the public. His merch was destroyed and the statue made in his and Ladybug's honor was destroyed and would only be remade once he was replaced, this caused Adrien to not transform as he didn't want to get thrown stuff at him anymore. Mari struggled with this but Zoe was by her side and believed it was for the best... so they reclaimed it from him when Ladybug got him to come out. He tried to fight back but venom used on him... it was over.
But it wasn't over just yet. With Zoe's support and Chloe and Sabrina by her side, Mari told the entire class what Adrien tried to tell her about Zoe so they could breakup... it infuriated the class since he was in the wrong to do something like this to Mari, Chloe even showed them how Mari called her by mistake that day which proved what he did. The class attacked him for it and he was reported to his father... who decided to send him to London to live with his aunt and cousin for the time being.
After that... things were better for the two girls. They were happy and freed from Adrien and Cat Noir... they even replaced him with Chloe who went by the name Black Panthère and she worked hard to prove she was better than Cat Noir. As a result, merch began to be designed and a new statue was in the making for the three girls... but considering the team was planning to expand... it might take awhile to make before getting revealed.
But the bee and ladybug were happy now... and no black cat would put an end to that...

Maribat – Those that were left Behind
Before anything, read the rules.
Okay, this prompt is… a lot, to say the least. I discussed this idea before with @natedogx15, but, this is a more “polished” version of it.
The concept is, do you know those Maribat fics where Marinette left class after Lila destroyed her reputation during the timeline of season 3? And then she returns dating a dc character? And everyone in class is like “Oh my! We were so stupid, sorry, Mari”?
Yeah, it’s based on this one… but with a twist! In this story, instead of the focus being on Marinette falling in love… it is about the class members that stayed in Paris!
In this AU, the story would start with the class hearing Marinette has moved away… some are shocked, but, believing Lila, are relieved she is away. Some of this include Alya, Nino, Chloe (who would have become Lila’s ally before for reasons to be discussed later) and the rest.
But one specific student is sad, because she knows the truth. And that student is… Sabrina! Basically, we moved her arc of Season 5 finale to the middle of Season 3 and now, she is redeemed.
(I am back on my Sabrina Phase, blame @sabrina-central for that)
The story isn’t over, though, because, since Marinette left, she needed to leave a powerful miraculous back in Paris to purify the akumas, and we get the Solaire Plume plot here to!
So, basically, this fic is Season 4 of miraculous with Rooster!Sabrina as the main character.
As time passes, though, more people start to notice Lila’s intentions, and Sabrina makes her own team to expose Lila. This team is formed by other side characters that deserve more screen time, like Nathaniel, Marc and Alix. (Maybe Kagami and Luka could be thrown in the mix too, but, who knows).
Who wouldn’t love a team formed by Solaire Plume, Ryuko, Viperion, Caprikid and Dog!Marc?
I have no idea where this can go, but, it’s interesting none the less. I just think that it would be cool a fic of miraculous where the main characters aren’t Marinette, Alya, Adrien, Nino and Chloe.

Scarlet Swords
Miraculous Ladybug | 2018 | 2,025 | Ao3
Moving up in the world of fencing didn't give Kagami many opportunities to make friends. Not that she had really cared that much as it was. But her newest academy switch might just give her a chance to drop the Ice Queen reputation. As they say, a clean slate.
“You know, you should try out for a fencing class.”
“Oh?”
“Yeah!” Donryu encouraged. “You’re doing better, but if you want to be able to do much against our next sword wielding Akuma, you’ll need to know more than I can teach you in ten minute sessions every few patrols.”
“Are you kidding?” Ladybug asked, shooting Donryu a freaked out look. “You’re the best teacher ever!”
“I know that,” Donryu huffed. “But we aren’t able to meet up enough for it to work, so see if you can get into a fencing academy. You said yourself that you have too much free time.”
Ladybug huffed. “You’re right. But it won’t be the same as training with you.”
“Nothing is,” Donryu replied, smirking. “So you’ll try out?”
“I’ll see if I can find any. No promises though!”
‘No promises’ was the best promise Ladybug could give her. Secret identities and whatnot made it hard to promise each other much more than always having their partner’s back. That didn’t stop Ladybug from doing her best for everything.
Donryu considered herself lucky to have a partner such as her.
Kagami made sure her helmet was on securely as she approached the door. It was her only nervous tick, and one she did her best to squash. Being outwardly nervous was a sign of weakness, and while Donryu was allowed to be nervous when fighting supervillains - Ladybug had repeatedly told her that it was okay, she was probably even more nervous every time, and that overconfidence could be a bad thing - Kagami Tsurugi was not. Such would be a disgrace to the Tsurugi name.
Kagami would not disgrace her family. Mother raised her better than that.
She had been practicing enough to ace this exam. She would get in to the D’Argencourt academy and then work her way through the remaining levels. Who knows? Maybe she and Ladybug would bring down Hawkmoth in time for Ladybug to attend some of her tournaments. Kagami could pretend Ladybug was in the crowd too, watching her here.
She snapped herself out of her daze and walked in.
The courtyard was large and full of people, some just standing around, some dueling. The nearest pairs to her each hit a point, one then delving into a conversation about who actually got it, and the other gave their opponent a hand, saying something encouraging that Kagami didn’t catch.
If it continued at this rate, she’d never even be seen, let alone actually able to take the entrance exam.
Or…. She could take advantage of being a Tsurugi. She could demand to be able to try her hand first. It might give her a bad reputation among the other fencers, though - which would, in turn, make it hard to make friends.
She wouldn’t have cared about this before. If she was going to have friends, they needed to be at her skill level, and even then they should stay as acquaintances at best. Well, except for Ladybug. She was neither of those things, and yet Kagami loved spending time with Ladybug. And Longg was, -for lack of a better word - odd. He was so excitable and sweet, but he didn’t shrink away from duty. Both of them made her life more enjoyable, and a part of her wished for more people to feel that with.
But fencing - she needed to get in, and the longer she stayed here debating with herself, the more time she lost. Never hesitate.
She made her way to the center stage, scanning the crowd for a more eye-catching figure. The adult. Armand D’Argencourt himself.
She found him not too far off from her, in his signature black fencing gear. He was talking with four fencers: three in the basic, provided armor, and one whose lamé was a unique combination of white, pink and red.
That was an interesting color choice, and a rather complex one too. Suitably distracting in a fight if the opponents’ focus isn’t in stone. Smart. But only if the referee would actually allow it in a match.
“Hey you! Are you M. D'Argencourt, the fencing master?” Internally she wanted to wince at how disrespectful she was being, and at her stupid question. She didn’t. No signs of weakness. It wasn’t like it would matter anyway, not as long as she got in. "I want to join your team.”
D’Argencourt turned to look at her. “Only the best are admitted here, you knave!” He called back.
He wanted the best? “And I was, everywhere I went.” If she wasn’t the best here, she would learn to be. That was the whole point.
D’Argentcourt looked offended. Maybe she was overdoing it? Well, if he couldn’t handle someone challenging him maybe she needed to find another school. “Part le fer! This whippersnapper has nerve! All right! I may consider your admission, shall you defeat one of my students.”
Not even a hard challenge, as long as she was confident - and maybe a tad flashy, so she actually impressed the fencing master - but she definitely wasn’t fighting anyone below her level. She stepped off the stage and strode into the crowd. “Which one of you is the best combatant?”
The group shuffled nervously, most of them veering out of her way as she walked towards D’Agencourt and his group.
“Adrien, please give our visitor a lesson in chivalry.” She might have deserved that slight. Kagami didn’t dwell on it though, watching as D’Argencourt nodded at one the students in white, causing him to smirk and flick his helmet down.
Cocky. That was good for her. Those who were cocky were rarely good fighters, not wanting to waste effort on others unless it benefited them.
“I shall, Master.”
D’Argencourt led them towards the piste, and they hooked themselves up. They tested the box, tapping each other on the shoulders, and then stepped back, readying for battle.
“En garde! Prêt...” Kagami took a deep breath as they slipped into their starting poses, eyes closing as she focused.
“Allez!”
Her eyes snapped open, and she was off. Flèche, parry, riposte feint, actual thrust, duck, thrust, parry, riposte, and… Point! The buzzer lit up on both sides, and Kagami groaned silently. So maybe he wasn’t as cocky as she thought. He had some actual skill.
“Abstention!” D’Argencourt called. A good call, considering.
She stepped back, and was in her starting position moments before her opponent was.
“En garde!” D’Argencourt started.
Kagami scanned the area again, realizing the next match would probably go the same way the last had. The piste was too restricting for a real fight.
“Wait. I request that we do it the old-fashioned way. We'll be much more at ease without the machine.”
“Adrien?” D’Argencourt asked, turning to his fencer.
“Fine with me.” her opponent nodded, unplugging himself.
Kagami did the same, and, seeing a truly perfect opportunity, backflipped off the platform, performing a few controlled strikes as she landed.
“En garde! Pret… allez!”
Attack, displace, parry, spin riposte, flèche, displace, let him gain ground, thrust, remise, flick, remise, up the stairs, force him against the banister, displace, flip over his head, taunt, thrust, parry, riposte, thrust, displace, flèche, displace, that failed, onto her feet in the library, switch sides, use corner thrust, taunt, and, point!
She felt the tap on her shoulder at the same time.
Kagami glanced around, hoping someone had followed them up who could decide the winner. And hopefully someone without a bias. The fencer in the complex lamé was standing in the doorway.
“Well, who got the first hit?” Kagami urged.
“I-I don’t know! It’s confusing, I think I missed most of it, I really can’t be sure who got the point,” she said, pulling her hands closer to her.
D’Argencourt skidded into view, his eyes wild. “Who won? Who got the point? I must know!”
“I don’t know!” the referee repeated, looking between them. “I got here at the tail end of the match, I can’t be sure.”
D’Argencourt sighed. “Alright. Since you tied with Adrien, you’ll go up against Marinette. She’s our next best fencer, if you can beat her you’re in.”
“What?” The girl asked, flipping her head between Kagami and the fencing teacher. “I’m not that good! Really! Can’t they just go against Adrien again?”
Kagami narrowed her eyes through her helmet. If they were unsure of themselves, hesitant to fight, this girl should be an easy win. Adrien, who she had just fought, had been confident and open about his perceived abilities, to the point she had considered him cocky, and been proven wrong. She tied with him. The new girl - Marinette, if she heard right - wasn’t even wearing her helmet right. Not to mention, second best, even the coach had said it. This would be easy. “I accept the challenge.”
Marinette squeaked, jumping a bit before moving to fix her helmet. “Alright. I left my saber down a level though so if you’ll just give me a moment to-”
“You can use mine,” Adrien spoke up, flipping his sabre in his hand - Kagami wanted to scoff but her entrance had been a little grand today, so she’d give him a pass - and offering it to the girl. “It’s not your lucky red, but you’ve got talent, which is even better.”
“Alright!” Marinette squeaked, taking the sabre and closing her helmet clumsily. She moved into a starting stance, a little stiff, but correct nonetheless.
Kagami leveled her sabre at her opponent.
“En garde!” D’Argencourt started again. “Pret!” Kagami scanned her opponent and surroundings, ready to be off. “Allez!”
Kagami lunged, and Marinette replied by quickly parrying her attack. Her earlier assessment had been right, the flashing of colors was slightly distracting. But she had fought worse as Donryu, - heaven knows Hawkmoth has a horrible sense of fashion, and some of those akuma were definitely made to try and blind them - and she was able to block it out.
Kagami lunged, putting more force and focus into the attack.
Soon, there was nothing but movement and attacks. Parry, riposte, parry, thrust, feint, remise, displace, parry, compound riposte, flèche, displace, thrust, drive her out of the library, displace, flick, remise, push her onto the stairs, displace, go for the blade, dodge her riposte, parry and riposte back, pris de fer, block her exit, and point.
Almost too easy.
“Looks like you won fair and square!” her opponent said, pulling her helmet up. “Good match?” she offered a hand.
Kagami shook her hand, pulling up her own visor to look at D’Argencourt.
He looked rather put out about his student not winning, but he was a sportsman. “Point goes to the lady in red. And you name, young maiden?”
“Kagami Tsurugi.”
Whispers echoed throughout the crowd; Kagami had to fight back a smile. Coming from a prestigious fencing family had its perks. Perks that would probably alienate her, but whatever. She had won. D’Argencourt had to let her in now.
“Ah. Well, Mlle. Tsurugi, I suppose I must make good on my word and let you into the academy. I expect nothing less than what you’ve shown here, understood?”
“Yes sir!”
D’Argencourt turned and stalked off, leaving Kagami, Marinette, and the crowd in the courtyard on their own.
“I’ve heard of you!” one of the other fencers said, coming closer to Kagami. “Is it true you won your first tournament as a prematernelle against a fencer two years older?”
She took a split second to wonder if she should take the ice queen route with this group or try to follow Ladybug’s lead and be friendly.
“He was only a year older, but he was two years ahead. The trick is to use your surroundings.”
“That’s amazing! Can I spar with you while M. D’Argencourt is going through the other trainees?”
Kagami glanced around at the crowd. This would either turn into hero worship and bragging rights, or she might make more friends. And fencing friends. “Why not? Does anyone want to referee?”
“I can!” Marinette offered. “If I can keep up with you this time.” A few fencers snorted at this. Kagami smiled and pulled her helmet down again.
“En garde? Pret. Allez!”

Ladynoir July 2023 Day 22: Entangled
Read all the entries on AO3
--
“This is the best day of my life. Nothing will ever top this.”
Looking somewhat offended, Chat Vert folded his arms over his chest. “I’m beginning to think this is a bad idea,” he muttered. “Our wedding day isn’t even going to compare to this moment.”
“Yeah, I’d say you’ve effectively screwed yourself, my dude. Sorry.” Turtle Noir patted him consolingly on the shoulder. “On the plus side, you can tell your kids someday that their birth didn’t even measure up to this moment. Start up a complex nice and early.”
Chat Vert groaned, dropping his head into his hands. “That is not comforting.”
“Seriously… doesn’t this just fit me perfectly?” A smile stretching from ear to ear, Coccinelle spun around to face them with her hands spread wide. Her eyes were sparkling with excitement, and she was practically bouncing on her heels, like she was so happy that she couldn’t stand still.
“You look amazing, Babe,” Chat Vert said, apparently giving in.
“Not as good as My Lady, but great,” Turtle Noir said.
“You’re just biased,” Coccinelle said to him.
“Well duh,” Turtle Noir said, shrugging. He turned towards the last member of their group, who had also been looking at herself in the mirror – though with considerably less enthusiasm than Coccinelle, and more wonderment for what she looked transformed with the Fox miraculous.
This whole thing had been Alya’s idea. Turtle Noir suspected she’d been thinking about it for a long time, but just hadn’t been sure how to bring it up in a casual way. Finally, she’d just blurted it out during their last patrol. It had taken a little time for Marinette to get on board, but at last she’d agreed. And that’s why, on this sunny Saturday morning, Adrien and Nino had swapped miraculous, and so had Marinette and Alya.
“What do you think?” Coccinelle asked, somewhat nervously.
Lady Fox smiled. “I think you look wonderful,” she said sincerely. “You’re right. It does fit you perfectly.”
Coccinelle let out a squeal at a volume that had both Turtle Noir and Chat Vert wincing. She bounded across the room and threw her arms around Lady Fox in a bone-breaking hug. Lady Fox squeaked in alarm as she lost the ability to breathe.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you!” Coccinelle shouted. “Okay, I gotta try out this yoyo!”
“Wait,” Lady Fox wheezed, but Coccinelle was already up the steps to Marinette’s bed and hauling herself outside. Chat Vert went after her.
“Are you okay?” Turtle Noir asked, concerned.
“I’m fine,” Lady Fox said, taking a deep breath. “Whew. Alya’s really enthusiastic.” She gently rubbed her midsection.
“I think it’s cute that she idolizes Ladybug so much,” Turtle Noir said, smiling. “Now come on. We only have a few minutes to test these babies out. I wanna see what the Turtle miraculous is made of!”
“Me too,” Lady Fox admitted. “Let’s go!”
They clambered up onto Marinette’s balcony only to find that Coccinelle and Chat Vert were gone. They exchanged a look and then shrugged, figuring they would catch up with their teammates shortly. In the meantime, they wanted to do some experimenting of their own.
And in the end, they did run into their teammates…
“Oh my god,” Turtle Noir said before cracking up.
“Shut up and help us!” Coccinelle hissed. “We’ve been this way for fifteen minutes.”
“This takes me back,” Lady Fox said, making an effort not to laugh. Somehow, Coccinelle and Chat Vert had become completely entangled within the string of the yoyo. They were at least on the ground, which she thought was a step up from when it had happened to her and Chat Noir, but there was no way they were getting free without help.
“Some things never changed,” Turtle Noir said fondly, giving her a little wink.
“Stop flirting and do something!” Coccinelle practically wailed.
Laughing, Lady Fox went to do just that.

Some of the "Scarlett Coccinelle and Kitty Noire AU" (where Chloé and Zoé are holders of Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculouses) ideas I have:
- All main characters in this AU are 15-17 years old and they are starting their first year in lyceé;
- Chloé and Zoé are twins sisters, Audrey and André are their parents;
- Both Chloé and Zoé are huge superhero geeks, they have a lot of comics;
- Since childhood, they both shares all the things they have between each other;
- "If you're gonna hurt my sister, I'll gonna kill you" (said by both Chloé and Zoé);
- When they both get the Miraculouses and became superheroines, their first reaction was pure joy;
- They get the Miraculouses at the same time, in the same place, so Tikki and Plagg knew who is the holder of the opposite Miraculous;
- Chloé and Zoé had the idea: since they are twins and know who they are, but the others don't, they decided to share the Miraculouses between each other. This means both Chloé and Zoé are Scarlett Coccinelle and Kitty Noire.
Absolutely love it! Can't wait to see more~!
