One scene in Claymore I really love is when the gathered warriors in Pieta start arguing amongst each other because it showcases just how much of their lives are spent in isolation.
They can't even hold simple conversations without a fight breaking out between them. Hell, Helen says that it's tough when hunting parties for awakened beings are formed (consisting of 4 warriors). And she herself isn't an exception with how she isolated Clare when they first met because she saw her as weak and a liability.
But that isolation by the organization is intentional. Connections between each other is what makes them "human" and less powerful in their eyes. We've seen it time and time again, with Clare and Teresa, Clare and Jean, Clare and Raki, Isley with Raki and Priscilla, Miria and all of the warriors who overthrew the organization, Clarice and Miata, even Alicia and Beth cared deeply for each other in spite of the organizations brainwashing... In some of these cases the connections is what kept them alive, but also human. But as Rafutera said not being able to understand the fact that their "experiments" had human hearts was ultimately the downfall of the men who led the organization.

I'm not an artist but I don't think I did too badly with this one. Pretend it's colorized and her shirt is yellow and long with a belt at the waist and black leggings and no shoes (when rapunzel started the trend miria leaped at the chance to go feral and not wear shoes). Also her hair is brownish blonde
You did good!!! Drawing is difficult I think you did great! I like her :3
Aww she followed Raps with the no shoes thing 😭 that's adorb

Isaac and Miria v.s. Sheogorath
Isaac and Miria - Baccano!
"They're incredibly flamboyant bank robbers, perpetually dressed and acting a decade or two out of date and never notice this is weird, they made themselves and two dozen other people immortal by accident, they didn't *notice* that they were immortal and unaging for seventy years, and when they did notice they immediately concluded it meant they were vampires. (Vampires don't exist.)" Read more about Isaac and Miria below.
Sheogorath - The Elder Scrolls
Sheogorath is the daedric prince (god, essentially) of madness. He's associated with cats, cat people, cheese, and drugs. Formerly he was a not insane guy, the daedric prince of order and logical deduction. The other princes went "fuck this guy", fucked him up, now he shouts about cheese and has the player sick dogs on an innocent town. Read more about Sheogorath below
Another description of Isaac and Miria:
"Ok. they are two people but do not seperate them. they are the stupidest immortal people in existence.
They became immortal in 1931 and would have died a bunch of times. they didnt realized they stopped aging and were immortal until 2001. They dont know how train robberies work so they just rob people then get onto a train. They tried to become good people after robbing a bunch of places by instead robbing the mafia, this worked because they dressed in such stupid costumes that bystanders assumed they were street performers
This video has a good job having their cadence of how they act"
youtube
Full description of Sheogorath:
"so sheogorath is a daedric prince (a type of generally malevolent god) and he’s the daedric prince of madness. according to in universe books that read like they’re just making up shit, he created music and art. he’s commonly associated with cats, the race of humanoid cat-people in elder scrolls, drugs, cheese, etc. in oblivion he wears a purple and yellowish asymmetrical campy suit with tights and a sick ass cane. he has yellow cat eyes. he appears as a cat often
his plane of oblivion (the realm he inhabits and presides over) is called the shivering isles. it has 3 distinct sections. the fringe is a small entry area, with a small town of madmen called passwall. the fringe is meant to test people entering the isles. the rest of the isles is separated into mania and dementia, the two aspects of madness/mental illness sheogorath represents. mania is bright, manic, creative but disturbed. insane artist types live here. dementia is depression, paranoia, etc.
so like. sheogorath is bubbly, excitable and even childish at times, but he is also demanding, authoritative and depraved. he can switch his personality from cheerful to menacing on a dime, and has a bunch of like. overly violent and aggressive lines? among referring to other daedric princes as “not fun at parties”, shouting about cheese, rambling about himself and yelling at the player unpredictably.
there are many funny silly things he’s done. like emperor pelagius septim intending to summon another (more normal) daedric prince and instead summoning sheogorath, and promptly becoming heavily influenced by summoning the literal god of madness. in oblivion basegame you rain flaming dogs on an innocent town for him. there are several accounts of him trolling the other princes and mortals. he threw a FUCKING MOON AT THE CITY OF VIVEC? for like no reason. also in the game daggerfall if you summon any daedric prince that isn’f him, he has a 15% chance of showing up instead just to be funny.
he has this really really tired looking balding chamberlain named haskill that hates his life. he wears a silly collared suit!
so like why is this guy like this. this is insane. many eras ago sheogorath was jyggalag, the daedric prince of order and logical deduction. jyggalag was so powerful, his realm was vast and spreading, and the other princes didn’t like that. so they got together and said fuck this guy and turned him into sheogorath, the exact opposite of everything he stands for. but at the end of every era jyggalag takes over again briefly and destroys sheogorath’s realm out of anger at what he has become in an event called the greymarch.
in oblivion’s dlc the player character becomes sheogorath in order to separate jyggalag from his curse. so the sheogorath you meet in skyrim is actually the player from the previous game. "

8. Favourite headcanon you’ve made?
Apart from minor character design headcanons I actually do like to come up with different fun details about each character; some examples bellow (my personal favourites):
Luchino and Illness have a brother-sister dynamic and she often helps him with props for his magic shows and of course she picks the costumes for him and does his face paint if necessary
Maiza and Ronny are big 60s 70s and 80s music fans (they are your average dads what can I say)
Elmer knows a lot about constellations since him and Huey used to watch the stars while on the Advena Avis
Ladd feels guilty about what happened to Leila and is often filled with remorse for not being able to save her life (Narita needs to write a more detailed backstory for Ladd, Leila and Who I’m getting desperate)
I could ramble on and on about my headcanons tbh it’s fun and the possibilities are endless
12. Favorite canon pairing? Favorite non-canon pairing?
Its very hard to pick only one pairing but canon: Isaac/Miria (who doesn’t love these two) Huey/Monica
and non-canon: Maiza/Ronny Huey/Elmer Illness/Claudia

❤ i would like to hear more about botw link's sisters pls
uve come to the right place, nonnie. also the only place for my botw link sister lore. because these are... we get the point. let's get into it. buckle in, i ramble a lot lol
miria, eldest, is a bit of a second mom. their mother did her best but was often out of the house, so miria grew up taking over the brunt of the care for lonnie and link. she worked hard for them and even started lonnie's training with a sword and spear, and she was responsible for a lot of the cooking so she ended up teaching both of them how to make food. lonnie never had much interest in it, but link took to it like a fish to water.
Tumblr media
image description: miria, a blonde-haired and blue-eyed hylian in a green tunic, is standing beside a young link, reaching for a twig in his hair while he adds some nondescript spice to a bowl of greens. miria is holding a knife, and there's a cutting board with orange mushrooms before her. end image description.
(colors are up in the air still. i might make her a brunette, haha!)
whenever miria was cooking, link would usually join her.
(sidenote: gender hcs! millie is a little young to be sure but she’s probably nb, and lonnie is also nb, but i have headcanons about hylian society wrt gender that makes “nonbinary” identities, like... not null? but they don’t have quite the same application of gender that we do. link is a boy unless he’s a girl, and lonnie is a girl unless she’s a boy, and millie is a little kid who plays in dirt. y’know? yeah)
lonnie is a bit more openly vivacious and maybe aggressive? all of them know how to use various weapons—mostly swords—but lonnie enjoys training whereas miria never had much of an interest in it. she had to pester miria to spar with her a lot. lonnie has a preference for spears and halberds over swords. she wanted to be a royal guard like her father, but she's hard of hearing—the whole family knows sign language as a result—and although logically that shouldn't be much of a detriment, it still ultimately prevented her from joining because woo ableism! she does farmwork instead, and decided that she prefers it because it feels more productive, though she's secretly pretty disappointed that she was barred entry.
when link came along and seemed to enjoy learning swordsmanship at least as much as lonnie did, it was a relief for miria because she didn't need to humor lonnie's frequent desires to spar when link so clearly enjoyed it.
lonnie and miria are actually pretty close despite the six year gap between them, and they only kinda began drifting after link came along and sucked up a lot of time from the both of them. the drift didn't hold out for a very long time, though, because eight years after link came millie, and the pregnancy and birth were both pretty hard on their mother so the two of them teamed up to care for link, millie, and mom.
millie was maybe five when link left for hyrule castle and he might not have had a chance to visit them before the calamity struck, so he never got to see her grow up much, but even when she was five she had a pretty big personality. she loved being outside and she and link would go scrounging through the nearby woods frequently; she was very interested in learning how to use a bow, and link fully intended to teach her and absolutely would have if, y'know, things didn't turn out the way they did.
after link left, millie had dreams of joining her father and link in the royal guard. she grew attached to lonnie as a result of link's absence, though she never became quite as close with lonnie as she had been with link.
lonnie used to write letters to link, updating him on the family going-ons and whatnot. most of those letters are lost to time, but a few of them are tucked away in a book in zelda's room.

You should do the thing for Jacuzzi, I love that man
favorite thing about them
a young couple in chicago had a baby boy and they named him jacuzzi. also how he's the lamest gang leader of the lamest gang ever at the lame age of 16
least favorite thing about them
he has his whole arc thing in volumes 2 and 3 and from then on he's literally just there. like shit is happening in every year of the 1930s and he's always just kinda there in the background and he never does anything relevant ever again
favorite line
that specific dub delivery of "they're shootin at People. PE-OPLE. Killinem. Mudrerinem!!!!"
brOTP
jacuzzi and chane my beloveds they're such a silly duo and somehow canonically best friends
OTP
won't pretend to care about nice/jacuzzi outside the flying pussyfoot arc but they're still sweet. the whole tattoo thing is really sweet
nOTP
no idea. who else is there to even ship jacuzzi with
random headcanon
he hasn't actually had sex ever nice got pregnant by herself
unpopular opinion
the crying stops being endearing and starts being annoying after the first fifty ish times
song i associate with them
wailing woman sample noises
favorite picture of them
i don't have it but that particular shot of his grimace as isaac and miria are asking him if he's a movie star

I typed half of this post out and then Tumblr disappeared it when I tried to save the draft so let’s hope second time’s the charm. Anyway, today we’ve got a tiny bit of worldbuilding info and a whole character! I might get rambly, so apologies in advance.
Astera is something like a constitutional monarchy and is a pretty religious nation overall, so its rulers are considered servants of the gods and the people. The oldest child of the royals, no matter their gender, is always the heir to the throne, but if for whatever reason they are unable or unwilling to rule, the crown can be passed to the second child.
The current heir is Miria Chrom, oldest daughter of King Morde and Queen Aliza. She’s 19 and hoping that she doesn’t have to take her dad’s throne for a good long while. She’s kind of a typical fantasy story princess in that she wants to run off and see the world, but not quite for the reasons one might assume. Miria is actually pretty happy with her life as a royal and wants to do her duty to her country, but... Its kind of a long story.
When Miria was a child, Astera was having some trouble with a neighboring nation. In a series of events that may or may not be related to those troubles, Miria was kidnapped after running off during a trip to a local market. She was gone for days, and just when her family and the royal guard were growing desperate, she appeared again outside the gates to the palace, refusing to say who had taken her or how she escaped.
This ordeal led to her parents becoming extremely protective of their children, limiting much of their contact with the kingdom outside the palace and not allowing them out without guards. Miria understands why they did this of course, and she knows that her parents care, but since she’s the only one of her siblings who really remembers what things were like before (the others were too young), she kind of feels trapped. She also has some pretty much constant low-level anxiety at all times, and things that remind her of the whole incident can send her into panic attacks so. Not a great combination of things.
There’s also the issue of the mysterious woman who saved her saying they’d meet again, and honestly, she’s kind of tired of waiting around.

Just realized that the measurement of how fucked up a warrior behaves is essentially just how much she's willing to kill her comrades without a good reason (those being rebellion and awakening).
We've seen Ophelia and Roxanne do it for their own twisted desires (Ophelia leaning more on the "reliving trauma in a fucked up way" side but still) and they're both considered to be antagonists and wicked in their behavior. But that doesn't come as a surprise when you remember what Rafutera said to Limt.
Tumblr media
It's literally empathy, perhaps a bit stronger than the one regular humans feel because of yoki and subconscious harmonization of energy but at the end of the day it's simply being able to understand the feelings of another. And for warriors that is both fascinating and beautiful. Think about it, these women spend most of their lives apart from each other, on isolated territories, rarely crossing paths with each other and when they do meet in groups there's in-flighting more often than not.
Unlike the two mentioned above, most others choose to spare the lives of their sisters in arms: Teresa with all of the warriors who came after her (let's be real if she wanted to she could've disposed of them all without a sweat), Rafaela with Ilena, Galatea with Clare and later on Clarice (and Miata) with Galatea (though that one took some convincing).
The most obvious one however is Miria and just how much she values the lives of her fellow warriors and how much, in turn, they value her. I think that it's just so beautiful how most of them crave these connections with each other and how much they understand that at the end of the day they're all victims of the organization. It's those very connections that help them stay human and true to themselves (Clare and Teresa, Clare and Jean, Deneve reeling Miria in with her speech of how much she's appreciated by those around her, etc).

I decided to be cringe and make a tts oc (lmk if you want a very bad drawing of her)
Her name is Miria (thanks again), she helps in Attila's bakery but spends most of the time in the library reading about fungi or in the woods hunting for fungi. Her goal is to become some sort of official authority on nature in general but specifically (you guessed it) fungi. (I will gladly tell you more about her if you want but I've done enough non-consensual inbox info dumping for the moment) Also she's trans.
I think she and Aiden could be friends? 🥺 👉👈
By the stars I LOVE HEEEER 🥺 lil fungi obsessed girlie
You can send me drawings or info dumps of her wheneveeeer no worries
Aiden and her 100% can be friends 😭 PLEASE. They could ramble about fungi and fun plants together! Or experiment on which ones could be useful for remedies and other things

Also Claymore is so silly for having this insane reality-bending plot twist that no one mentions after it's been found out. Like "Oh yeah our home is actually a war testing ground for the organization and there's a whole other continent out there that is war-torn and with giant yoma-like beasts and those beasts had their cells harvested to make new warriors." And then they all move on. Hysterical.
