Your eyes flickered open, the bright lights of the hospital room stinging. As you looked around you noticed Jameson sat, half asleep on an armchair by your bed. 

“You look rough for a man who hasn’t been shot” Jameson glanced upwards and smiled as he noticed your eyes open “how long have I been here?" 

"2 days, you don’t do small gestures do you? Couldn’t get shot in the arm or something?” You went to laugh but quickly stopped when the pain in your stomach flared up. 

“My team? Where are they?" 

"The BAU? They’ve just gone to get some sleep, they’ve been here since you got here.” He patted your hand reassuringly knowing they were really all you cared about right now. You smiled and closed your eyes fo sleep.

As your eyes opened once again your vision focused on a figure sat at the foot of your bed. 

“Hey…Hey Y/N! How are you feeling?” JJ’s voice was soft in your ears. She moved closer to you, a big smile on her face. 

“Better now I’ve seen your face.” You smiled at her before glancing around the room. The rest of the team were scattered around the hospital room, well everyone except Spencer. You couldn’t help it, your face dropped. You were happy to see your team and glad you were alive but he wasn’t there and he didn’t care you were hurt, even after you took a bullet for him. JJ must’ve clocked your change in emotion and it wasn’t hard to figure out why “Spencer is thankful you saved his life, even if he does have a funny way of showing it" 

"Yeah. Thank you for being here. It really does mean a lot” you were sad at the absence but at least someone had made the effort.

“But in the end it is only a passing thing, this shadow" 

"Even darkness would pass” you woke up to the sound of a familiar voice reading a familiar passage. “Why are you reading me Lord of the Rings, Spence?” You turned your head to face him, his floppy hair had fallen over his face as he read, but as he looked up at you his eyes met yours, his beautiful brown eyes 

“I always told you to read it, I figured unconscious you was the most compliant” he smiled at you, and like clockwork you smiled back. 

“I finished it last month, I promised I’d read it.” He looked surprised which made you giggle “it’s silly really it’s the thing that I held off of doing, because it was the last promise I made you. I thought if I never read them, you’d come back and force me too… but you didn’t so I just read them, get it over with I guess… I really loved them” His eyes had dropped to his book, stroking over the cover. He looked sad, but you couldn’t read exactly why, even the best profiler in the world would struggle with Spencer Reid. Was he sad because of what you said? Or just because he wanted to read you the books? Or maybe he was just sad for you in general…“can we talk about what happened? In the camp?”

“I don’t know if we should Y/N. It was all very intense and we probably did, and said, things we didn’t mean" 

"Spencer, there was nothing I did that I didn’t mean. Nothing I said. Nothing I will say. I almost died Spence. And I refuse to go out without saying what I need to say.” You moved sat yourself up, with some pain, so you could be at eye level with him. Though he tried with all of his might to avoid eye contact you held your gaze. “Spencer Reid, I…”

“Hey babe how’s it going?” She skipped into the room, stopping you in your tracks…Shannon eurgh…Spencer immediately jumper out of his seat and over to her, like she’d just rescued him from something horrible “oh Y/N! You’re awake, that’s…great.” you smiled back not wanting to grace her with your words. And then, like it was done on purpose, her hand moved to Spencer’s cheek, and there on her finger, glistening under the horrible hospital florescent lights, a ring. An engagement ring “thank you for saving my Spenny" 

Your eyes flicked between the ring and his face as your throat struggles to let any air in. You caught his eye and the sadness ruptured inside you, slamming your eyelids closed so as not to let the tears spill out, you composed yourself. She wasn’t going to get to see you cry. Because she wasn’t worth it. 

"You’re welcome.” A fake smile plastered on your face, fake only to those who could tell, i.e Dr Spencer Reid…of course “and I see congratulations are in order?" 

"Yes! Isn’t it gorgeous?” She squealed as she ran over to your bedside, thrusting the ring closer you your face ’I could just break her finger’ you thought to yourself, but that would probably be morally wrong…"Spencer proposed when he got home from the raid, you know… the one where you got shot, said he couldn’t bare to think about dying when he hadn’t been able to show me how he really felt, and THEN on his knee he was and a ring on my finger! We’re already planning the wedding!“ 

Your heart, which had barely healed from the last assault, fell to pieces. You had actually lost him…no grand gestures, no life saving moments, no amount of words would get him back. She had him, hook, line and sinker and there was nothing you could do. So you just smiled, at her, at her ring and at him. Though as you glanced over, just when he thought neither of you could see, he let himself feel it, and he cried, a single tear. But a single tear was all you needed for the smile to become real, because Spencer Reid was crying for you, for the love he had lost.

Yeah ik this is coming pretty late but.. I really needed to recollect my thoughts after watching the movie.. And on top of that im mot a very expresive person so yeah...

Miss Americana is not just a movie about Taylor Swift. Its not just an american girls story. Its a story about us. Yes i am a swiftie so i could connect abt it... But that is not the only reason. I connect to it as girl of this era. Its a story explaining how a girl struggles when she is called FAT. its a story of a girl who is called a SLUT, A BITCH, with apparently no fault. Its a story about a girl who WANTS TO STAND UP AND VOICE HER OPINIONS. Its a story about a girl WHO WON OVER ALL THESE BACKSTABES AND PROVED TO THE WORLD THAT WE GIRLS ARE NO ONES PLAYTHING. She has always given me the power to stand up but still, some how i lacked courage. I WAS scared, till maybe yesterday even. Then when i saw the movie, i saw her cry, i saw her breakdown i saw her wanting to be at THE RIGHT PLACE IN HISTORY, & REACHING THERE TODAY. I-- I feel so fucking proud of her now. Most people think " Oh the are celebreties, what struggle do they have to do?" Trust me... Everyone has their own fight. Expectation burdens. And women place in industry, as she said... A woman has to constantly innovate to stay relevant. A woman has to fight for her existence. Her body matters more than her talent. A fat tummy means you are pregnant at 18. Honestly i would have not survived that situation. This movie is all about HOW SHE DID. AND YES SHE INSPIRES ME TO DO SO. SO I PROMISE MYSELF... I WILL NOT HIDE ANYTHING ABOUT ME ANYMORE, FEARING SYMPATHY. I WILL NOT STAY QUIET WHEN I FEEL I SHOULD SPEAK UP. After watching #MissAmericana, I just feel like that somehow I’m also, and still struggling over some body beauty shit, which I have an ass but not a pair of legs that skinny enough; nor I have taller body but not a lighter weight. Every time, still, looking at any of my pictures, I just feel nothing but embarrassment. I always feel like I can have a better waist, and much thinner chest, to show the “curve” of a body. Everyday, I just want to fit into a sized L sweatshirt. I just want to see if I can fit myself into a much thinner jeans, to show that my legs are actually long enough, then later starting to hate for a fat ass. I can’t stop putting masks on my face cause I am ashamed of my round face. I avoid wearing anything but black. I hold my breath every time I walk for a flatter tummy.

I just want to somehow shake these thoughts out of my mind. These emotions have been keeping me from eating, from getting enough sugar for daily calories, or even avoid drinking water. I used to be able to sing without heavy breathing, now I can’t even go onto a higher notes that I used to sing onto.

“Man, you got thinner, have you been eating?” “Of course, I eat, I just eating healthier in here”. In fact, no, I wasn’t even eating, regularly. Most of the time, I just avoid eating as much as possible. I know I’m hungry, or even starving. I often tell myself, if I can quit eating for the last meal, I can also quit eating for this meal. Turned out that I quitted eating for five damn days. By the time I realised it, I had been vomiting liquid that burnt my throat. I couldn’t even hold a pen well on writing, or type, normally. Everything is just... it’s not others, who think I’m not perfect. It is myself, all the time, who thinks that I’m not fucking perfect, in whatever that made me, me.
