Pride and Prejudicenatural: The Monster At The End Of This Book
Once again, I have rewritten a famous Destiel scene with Elizabeth and Darcy. It's the opposite of most Pride and Prejudicenatural, but it makes me insane so I keep doing it! This one is from the iconic convo during 4x18.
“I am not the praying sort,” Elizabeth said loudly, standing underneath the glow of the streetlamp,  “But I have no one else to turn to and I…I need help.”
There was no response.
The oil lantern flickered inside its wrought-iron cage.
“I pray, Darciel,” Elizabeth begged, “I pray, that you will help me, in my time of need. Please.”
“Prayer is a sign of faith,” came the smooth voice of the angel Darciel, and she whirled around to find him standing there.
“Please,” she said simply, “Will you help?”
“I…I am not sure what I can do,” he said, shifting uncomfortably.
“Pull Jane from her bed, now, before Lillith is upon her!” Elizabeth shouted, “Like you did for me, when I was confined to the depths of Hell!”
“I cannot, Miss Bennet, for it is part of a prophecy,” Darciel said, as if that mattered to Elizabeth when Jane was in danger, “I cannot interfere. You must understand.”
Elizabeth clenched her firsts.
“You have tested me, Darciel, thrown me about, scattered me to each of the four winds, stretched me to my limit, asked me for things that I could not give, do things that I could not accomplish,” Elizabeth said, willing her shaking voice to remain even, “And I have never asked you for one single thing in return. But now, I ask for this one favor, and you cannot-or will not-grant it?”
“Why, w-what you are asking of me, is-” Darcy stuttered, “It is-it is not within my power to do!”
“Why? Just because of some so-called divine prophecy?”
“Yes!” Darciel said.
“Are you asking me to simply-simply wait, for it to happen? To do nothing, in the face of certain doom, when I know full well that I could have prevented this?” she asked, tears stinging at the corner of her eyes.
Darciel was quiet, unable to meet her eyes, for a long, deafening, moment of silence.
“I’m sorry, Miss Bennet.”
“Curse you,” she uttered in anger, inspired by terror, “Curse you and your God, and your mission, and your rules! I proclaim this day, Mister Darcy, that when the time comes when you need my help, don’t even bother to darken my doorstep, for I will cast you out with a curse upon your back! Begone!”
“Miss Bennet-”
“I said begone, foul creature!” she half-sobbed.
“Elizabeth,” Darcy said, his voice breaking on the final syllable.
“What?!” she snapped, tears dripping down her face.
He gathered himself up, as straight and tall as his vessel would allow, and took a deep breath.
“You must understand, why I cannot intercede, Miss Bennet,” Darciel said, his voice taking on a different quality, “Prophets are specially chosen by God, and protected-”
“I don’t care, Darciel!” shouted Elizabeth, “I don’t care-”
“If anything threatens a prophet,” Darciel spoke louder, “Anything at all, an archangel will be summoned to dispose of that threat immediately.”
Elizabeth froze in place, cogs turning in her brain. His eyes were large, staring through her, willing her to understand.
“Archangels are not just servants of God, Miss Bennet,” Darciel continued, each word deliberate, “They are Heaven’s most terrifying weapon. They are absolute, in their ferocity, wrath, and justice. Nothing, in any realm, could withstand an archangel’s power, without being vaporized into the finest mist.”
Elizabeth stood agape.
“If…a prophet,” she said slowly, “was placed, perhaps, in the same room as a demon-”
“Then the most fearsome wrath of Heaven would rain down upon that demon,” he said, words spilling out quickly, nodding his head.
Elizabeth nodded in understanding.
“Just so you understand,” he said, looking away from her, past the streetlight, into the night sky, “Why I cannot help you.”
She gave him a firm shake of her head to indicate a thank you, and raced off, hoping that the Prophet would agree to her wild, half-cocked plan.

General Rules!
Hello there! So you want to roleplay with Darcy? That’s awesome. We can’t wait to play. But before we do, I have a few rules and guidelines I’d like to go over.
1. I work a full time job with rotating hours and am still finishing my masters degree, so I’m quite a bit busier than I was last time I ran this account. So please be patient with me and I’ll extend the same to you.
2. I do not roleplay explicit smut. Although both mun and muse are of age, it’s just not something I’m comfortable with. PG-13 as well as innuendo are all fine in my book
3. On that note, mun is in 26, and I will not RP with minors. It is not something I’m comfortable with.
4. Don’t god-mod. This is pretty standard for RP, but I like to include it anyway. The only “exception” to this rule is if it is a two person RP and a third character comes up. Both players are allowed to play that third character (ie: We have a thread with Darcy and Katherine and Pulitzer appears. Both of us are allowed to play Pulitzer).
5. My preferred style is one paragraph as of late, but I am willing to do more or less depending on the player and the thread. I do also prefer the style of small text, but will use normal size text if requested. If you use icons, I will do my best to use them, but I do not use them for my own threads.
6. if it’s tagged open, anyone is allowed to send it in, even if we have never interacted before. This is my favorite ways to meet new players and characters. Please do not send in “buy a pape, mister?” for our first interaction. This hasn’t been occurring as much lately, but it still isn’t something I enjoy.
7. However, I am semi-selective meaning that while you send it in, I am allowed to choose who or what I respond to. Please respect my choices. It’s never you, but more likely that our styles don’t click.
8.  If you are not a part of the thread, please do not reblog it. Likes are okay, but reblogging really throws me off.
9. We both have the right to end a thread whenever we choose. I tend to signal this by liking the post. But if you would like to continue a thread, shoot me a message and most likely I’ll be willing to keep it going.
10. If you need something tagged please tell me! I try to be sensitive to triggers, but I sometimes forget. I also ask that you tag any material related to suicide or self-injury. I also will not be doing any RPs that have a main focus on either of these topics.
11. I use the new beta editor and trim posts using XKit. If you use legacy editor, I will not try to trim because that makes both of our lives harder.
12. Have fun! That’s what role-play is all about!
Darcy and I will see you soon!
With love, Al

I’m gonna write for a little bit and then maybe work on my multi muse
I need to update the about here, too, to include Darcy’s mutation/power
And over on the multi I have to update the tags for Rabbit and Thilo since I didn’t end up using anything fancy and just went “AES; RABBIT” and “MUSINGS; TANIEL” because it’s easier that way
I’m gonna add the info for Janet, Haida, Luis, Julia, Mister Darcy and Beetlejuice in too and probably collect or try and make icons
So much to do today. Not gonna let the bad things sink in

THOMAS LOVES DANCING. Anyone who knows him well knows this. Which is all to say he’s married the right woman, because she’s lifting his hand and twirling herself, knowing Thomas can’t refuse a good melody and any reason to put his hands on her.  Note, he also loves lap dances, but maybe that’s coming later. That or a drunken tap dance, if Martha mishears — she’s always been a little difficult to predict.
But that doesn’t stop him from setting down the wooden spoon he’s using to stir in the kitchen, taking that same hand she’s already extended, and leading her away from hot surfaces in the kitchen to the living room nearby. One hand swerves impossibly low on her back, presses her toward himself urgently; the other laces their fingers between each other, a woven pattern.
‘ In vain I ‘ave struggled. I’twill not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me t’ tell you how ard’ntly I admire an’ love you. ’
MARTHA was not the best dancer. Her skill in arts were in the form of WORDS rather than her body, but she tried just for Thomas, knowing how much he adored dancing. All it took was the right song for her to get in the right mood. She was grading her students’ essays when the radio she would always listen to began to play Elvis Presley’s iconic song. You know, THAT song.
Tumblr media
So she rose from the couch, hips swaying to the rhythm and she took her husband’s hand, spinning and before she realized it, he was already leading them out back to the living room. As his hands found their places, her grin widened, one hand went to his shoulder and the other squeezed his. Considering the height difference, she had to tilt her chin up so she may looked at him through her SPECTACLES.
Letting out a chuckle at his apparent ❛ PRIDE AND PREJUDICE ❜ reference. Her heart soared, however, when she heard that. It was only her most favourite line from the book and she always fantasied of someone quoting that to her. She said, ❝ Was that what you’re reading the other day, MISTER DARCY? ❞
