GALTx ENews: Shyanne Seeks A Forever Home

Shyanne isn't your typical Greyhound because she isn't a Greyhound at all! She is a two year old Doberman/Australian Shepherd mix with just three legs. She is seeking a forever home without cats or small dogs.

Shyanne loves to snuggle, squeak her toys, play bitey face, and run in the yard. When she perceives an intruder, she is a bit barky, so apartment life isn't for her. She knows how to sit for meals and treats, asks to go out to potty, sleeps through the night, and is unbothered by storms.

Shyanne is a delight, happy all the time, and incredibly photogenic. She is not defined by her missing limb and runs zoomies, plays with toys, gets on furniture, jumps high for food, and pulls pretty hard on a leash for her size. She has no focus when out on a walk and gets in twice as many steps as her peers. Shyanne crates well when her foster family is out and is thrilled to see them come home.

Shyanne will be happiest in a home with another big dog (or two) to play with, an abundance of toys, a yard to explore, and people who don't mind sharing their bed. All right; I hesitated. This is the last time I'm going to hesitate (I said, not sure I was telling the truth).

In "Holding On for Love", a windstorm sends Bearl and Muffin to the beginning of their lives.

In "The Principal Purrs", Muffin demonstrates a mindful purr that controls Minnie's mind.

In "Bearlpha and Omuffinga", the duet tries to save wolves from evolving. In "Eggspecting Better", Mattie hatches another egg. And in "The Invitations", the duet has to contend with a know-it-all dog when they're invited to a party.

In "Lord-games of the Hunger-flies", Muffin tells a story where the characters hold a competition after getting shipwrecked. In "The Cicada Clause", the duet meets a cicada who wants revenge on Minnie.

In "The Painted Turtle", Bearl and Muffin meet a painted turtle. In "The Beancredibles", Bean and Elizabeth get superpowers.

In "Army of Camp", Muffin brings an all-purpose tool when she and Bearl go camping. In "Treasure for Treasure", the duo tries to unlock a treasure chest.

In "Dog With an Experiment Log", the duet finds that Brunswick keeps a secret log of moon-guarding quipment. In "Fast Times at Labrador Elementary", Dixie transfers to a school in Labrador.

In "The Lantern That Jack Built", a pumpkin's face becomes contagious. In "Boo You", the town turns into sheet ghosts.

In "This Is PNN", Bearl and Muffin use parrots to communicate. In "Meat the Robbed-in-sons", poultry disappears right before Thanksgiving.

And in "Fan-Postnic Voyage", Postnie navigates his way out after he is eaten by a bear.

Vittorio's design has given me more trouble than I expected, I'm still not sure if I'm happy with his looks. He's Machete's trusted personal secretary, a small and modest but resourceful and resilient man. I think he's somewhere in his mid 20's.

Welcome to where it all began.

In "Charley Horse", Bearl gets a leg cramp that turns into a horse. In "Snowflake Search", Muffin participates in a raffle to find two matching snowflakes. In "Un-North-odox", the duet meet a bird who didn't migrate.

In "The Madness of Queen Muffin", Muffin becomes a queen. In the wordless story "Joy and Faith", the pets go to a positive thinking seminar.

In "The Metamuffinsis", Muffin decides to metamorphose. In "Make Way for Ducklings", a duckling interferes with Muffin's book club. In "Riddle Me This", Brunswick and the squirrels collaborate to create riddles for the duet.

In "As Herself", pop star Jadagrace pays a visit. In "Vermin's Head", the duet takes matters into their own hands when they hear that lobsters don't have feelings. (The first comics I ever turned into a "Mixed Breeds" story.)

In "Land of the Post", Postnie gets lost on an island. In "Sortin' Hears a Sand", the duet have to prove themselves after an incident involving grains of sand.

In "Repeat Repeat", the duet finds themselves repeating the morning. In "Stop the World, I Want to Slack Off", time slows down on the last day of summer. And in "Dr. Nuts", a psychiatrist helps Bean with his hoarding problem.

In "Treat It", Bearl goes trick-or-treating to monsters.

In "The Rescue Dogs", the pair meets a superhero team. In "The Abundance", Bean and Elizabeth host Thanksgiving.

You’ve most likely answered this before but what breed exactly is Machete? I’ve been trying to figure it out for a while I’ve thought maybe a saluki but the ears arnt right.

In theory his breed is fictional Podenco Siciliano, but he's not a purebred example. Out of existing dog breeds he looks closest to (and is related to) Ibizan Hound.

But sometimes I see Silken Windhounds that also kind of remind me of him. They just don't have the characteristic bat ears.
