TOH AU where the previous Golden Guard knew Belos was gonna kill him for conspiring against him so he faked his death in order to get away. Fast forward to Hunter Post-Hollow Mind running through the woods and having the worst panic attack of his life thinking he’s hallucinating some guy who looks like an older version of himself finding him but no, that’s his actual Predecessor who has been waiting to get Hunter away from Belos and finally got a proper chance.

Cue Eda and Darius tearing the forest apart to find this poor kid, only to see Hunter passed out in the arms of a guy they thought was dead.

like ok we get it's a retcon but people liked the old versions too 🙄

#Thor 4 #it's really weird because being smart is like a token thing thrown in as 'good' but only good for specific things #like with Thor and Bruce talking about the wormhole and which ship is suitable #like ok so bruce bad hulk good but it's okay for thor to know what he's doing because he's confident and powerfully fights people #it's wack #doesn't feel right #now that Jane being an astrophysicist is half crossed off my Thor 4 wishlist that only leaves #no fatphobia in the play and not making cancer a topic of comedy #I feel like Jane and Thor breaking up will somehow be made funny no matter the circumstances #im assuming everyone is going to be fanservice at some point or other #but then it's almost guaranteed less racist casting than notable other shows #hhh #mixed feelings all around #it's not like it's a complete bad thing to disregard previous character arcs and whatnot but i don't favour the way it's brushed over #just SAY you're changing the things instead of saying Jane being human and smart sucked and Loki was being a whiny orphan #😔

The draft I wrote a few weeks ago about frustration over what happened to the old lore channel and it becoming less accessible is uh. starting to hurt a little bit more now. Not a fan of this new maincord update

[Personal things I like to put on the internet]

My family lives across the country & for Christmas this year my mom offered to buy plane tickets for me & my partner to come be with them. We've been trying to reach her for weeks to arrange the tickets but she's notoriously hard to get a hold of. Maybe this is a good thing because today my partner & I talked it over & decided we're not going to travel for Christmas.

Part of me is bummed because we turn down a lot of opportunities like this, usually because of our health (we're both chronically ill), & I feel like if I keep passing up these opportunities I'm going to miss out on life. Also, I haven't spent Christmas with my family since 2018. So there is reason to feel upset about the decision.

But I am also relieved. We've been struggling so much since October, financially and with our health problems, that traveling right now is really not a good idea. & I like my partner's family so it will be nice to spend Christmas with them. But sometimes being thousands of miles from my own family really sucks.

I was looking for someone talking about it bc I'm bad at articulating thoughts and analyzing media but I watched the last doctor who special and.

The clothes don't usually change during a regenartion, right? Does this meanwe'll never get to see fourteen wearing thirteen's clothes for a while ? That's a shame

Also I'm a bit sad bc while this special was good I didn't really like the previous two and I haven't enjoyed the last seasons that much either, plot wise, even though I've loved the thirteen doctor and really enjoyed the companions

Kvasir messes me up so so so fucking much you guys. Like I understand the vikings had a different approach to death and yada yada so forth whatever arguments you wanna make they're reasonable but still it. I just.

You mean this beloved man, known for his wisdom and poem and song, and who went around helping people with his wisdom and poem and song and was dearly beloved by the gods just. You guys he was straight up murdered and his blood stolen for magic fucking mead. There's no revenge for his murder or anything it's just that Odin saved his mead.

"Folk declares that every skald (poet) has a drop of Kvasir's blood in him. ... because a world without it's poets would be too dreadful a place to image."

Messed up or not, he lives on in poets, storytellers, and songwriters alike- all those with the understanding of the power of word, the wisdom to yield it.

In The Bifrost Incident it's still the same. His blood pumping and fueling the machine, running through arcane glyphs. He's always just been used for his blood, and even more irony drawn from it likely being Odin gaining the most use from his blood.

And yet, no matter how miniscule it may seem, Kvasir still lives on in his universe there too, in poets and songwriters and storytellers- somehow, The Mechanisms carry a piece of him in their travels ever since his death and Yddrasil's fall, just as you and I may have his blood in our veins.

i finally got the time to watch love is better the second time around and im not at all shocked that im obsessed with the adult second chance at love jbl - have you met me.

but it also needs to be known that shiraishi is my beloved, the actor plays this role so perfectly and i want my bitchy sad gay to find true love

#love is better the second time around #also i adore the mains a whole fucking lot #iwagawa is the perfect mix of pathetic and desperate veiled in cocky and sophisticated #and miyata’s character is just a gem like the way he has transformed from his younger self is so refreshing to see #like this is a kid that was so pure and sweet and open and when he believed that all got trampled on he didn’t let it go to the extreme of #becoming hard and emotionless instead he really has just matured into an adult that actually cares for and values himself #like that hurt made him feel worthless but now he knows he isn’t worthless #like he internalised it through the way he protects himself from others but he does it both to not feel that hurt again but also bc he #thinks well of himself and i just adore the fact we get to see a timid kid grow into someone with self-respect it’s so cool and refreshing #and even when it comes at his detriment bc he won’t let himself believe iwagawa is being honest or that he’s ever been - that it’s all just #a joke or teasing or whatever it’s not frustrating bc you both get where it comes from but also feel like you can support him pushing him #away bc he does it for himself and for the person he’s become #so like… to watch a show where you’re both deeply rooting for the couple but also support when they push each other away… idk how they did #it but they did. the premise is simple and the show is simple but every moment and interaction is electric and thrilling and that’s the kind #of show i love. one that can convey how seemingly interactions are full of tension and stakes for these people. it’s so hard to convey that #but this show nails it and i just can’t get enough now.

I'm actually flabbergasted to realise that there is blogs and people actively participating in syscourse since ALMOST A DECADE./NEG SRS/

I'm not a "both sides are right" guy/DEAD SRS I'm pragmatic and will support endogenic systems and tulpas because unlike everyone in this community I actually grew up wildly disconnected to said community and labels and had the time to look at things unbiased, but seeing someone(s) being willing to fight the same arguments thrown at them again and again is stupid. not stupid, my bad, but it looks tiring.

even with the best interest at heart I find this useless. I would fight for trans rights and any other minority's rights as long as a fight needs to be done and more. but I would NOT do so by damaging my mental health to debate with people that are either not set on changing their mind by choice, or doing so just for the sake of hurting people. I would just throw some links and resources back and forth and that's it.

I know you're fighting to help people. but I don't trust you./srs

seeing someone, not enjoying, but being able to live through such an emotionally challenging and low-key traumatising/damaging moment(s) normally and seek it again and again is making me feel unsafe.
