— Into the forest
Cover illustration I did for fun. It mixes a lot of things that fascinate me, like the fairy world, the mysterious and strange part of the forest, and creatures that look like they came out of a fairy tale.
I had a lot of fun doing this illustration, although it also gave me some trouble until I managed to get the idea I wanted out of my mind. It's inspired by a story I've been working on for a while, although I don't know if when I decide to work on it, it will have something to do with this illustration or not.
But here it is!

A mock up of a larger illustration I'm working on. I don't usually do thumbnails or "first" versions (Which is why most of my projects end up with a lot of compositition errors.) but I've been trying to get into the habit of doing it.
For an artist that has an associates in the field of fine art-I actually don't do a lot of things most artists do. Thumbnails, mock ups, studies of anatomy, studying masters or professionals, using a sketchbook for sketches, etc. I'm trying to work both on that and branching out.
Ramble over. If you like my work, please consider supporting me via commissions.
Trying to make art a more part time job while I hunt for another job.
