I find it so funny when ppl say that Katniss has no personality, she's so cute and funny! Like do you not remember when she...

1. Thought Finnick was making out with Peetas corpse and was like "damn didn't know he was fruity like that"

2. When Gale confessed his love for her and she was STRIAGHT up like "yeah I know" 💀

3. Saw Peeta had been crying after the first reaping and immediately thinks "damn he's good, playing the weak sympathy card". Like girl he thinks he's gonna die! He's gonna die!

4. Katniss and Finnick wearing the green face cream in CF and scaring the fuck outta Peeta on the beach

5. Just her and Haymitch, especially the first book

6. "I decided to go ahead and like Boggs" - thanks for letting us know queen 👑

7. In MJ when they're trying to film the propos, and she's just horrible at it

8. In the first book when she's trying to drain the pus out of Peetas leg and she just so goddmaned grossed out

Hi I have a question but I don't want you to think I'm like asking it like with an attitude because I'm genuinely wanting to know what exactly your thoughts are. But I've been wanting to ask why you don't like that the mcu MJs last name is Jones Watson instead. I honestly didn't think much of it other than it proves to the racist stans out there that she is mj even if she's not a white redhead but I didn't look too much past that. But anyways yeah I just wanted to know what your perspective on it was.

I don’t like it solely because there was no good reason for MCU MJ to be named Michelle in the first place, much less Jones Watson.

Jones, up until NWH, was entirely a fandom creation. MCU MJ did not have a last name in the movies before this. Jones was created by the fandom because Disney/Marvel were too racist to definitively claim her as Mary Jane Watson.

I know a lot of people are new to spidey or the MCU was their first introduction to Peter and MJ but when Zendaya was first cast, it was clear that she was meant to be the MCU’s Mary Jane Watson.

The internet absolutely lost their shit at this.

So much so that Feige backtracked hard, saying that she’s Michelle and not Mary Jane… only for HOCO to come out and to have this “big reveal” that her “friends call her MJ”

As @momentofmemory put very well once, you don’t cast Zendaya to have her play some generic love interest OC that also magically has the same nickname as the longest running endgame love interest of Peter Parker.

With NWH explicitly labeling her as Watson, having Norman mistake her for Mary Jane and for Peter himself to call her MJ Watson— it’s abundantly clear that she is and always has been the MCU’s Mary Jane Watson.

That Disney/Marvel were racist cowards to not give her that name will forever upset me, as is a lot of spidey fandom’s reluctance to see her as thee Mary Jane Watson of the MCU. They “fixed” it by NWH but it’s a problem THEY created.

tl;dr it proves to racist fans that she is the MJ Watson of the MCU, but had they just named her Mary Jane Watson from the start— it would’ve silenced a lot of the nonsensical arguments people STILL give to bend themselves backwards to say that she isn’t MJ.

She IS MJ. And she should’ve been NAMED MJ— Mary Jane Watson— from the start.
