I made aesthetic/mood boards for Mourning Bride in my Mourning Bride AU.
As the day went on, the quality went down.
The blushing bride side of the akuma:
I used Canva for the mood board’s template, decorations and some of the pictures. The miraculous pv pictures came from YouTube screenshots. The poem came from “Song” by Edgar Allen Poe. I found the bride photo on Google.

do you think adrien will tell nino his identity?
See, that’s an understandable prediction people have been making given how much miraculous is really into parallels. However, the creators like to use parallels to highlight the differences between marinette and adrien. This is consistent with the whole yin/yang theme with ladybug and chat noir.
So, if we apply this logic to Adrien’s case, which is meant to be an opposite parallel to Marinette’s, then I actually think he won’t reveal his identity to anyone. He doesn’t really have a reason to do so. He has much more anonymity and freedom when he’s Chat Noir, why would he jeopardize that by revealing his identity to someone? Yes, he does really want to reveal his identity to Ladybug, but that’s because he wants to get closer to ladybug, not because he’s cracking under the pressure from being Chat Noir.
Additionally, I think Marinette telling Alya and Adrien not telling anyone may set up a potential ladynoir conflict in the near future, thus prompting a possible lovesquare reversal.
Like, think back to all of the times Chat Noir has begged Ladybug to let them reveal their identities to each other, and how Ladybug adamantly told him that absolutely under no circumstances will they ever do so. What’s Chat going to do if he finds out that Ladybug told someone her identity after she’s refused to tell him all this time? Who is going to turn to?
Perhaps his very good friend™ Marinette? 👀

It’s Adrien’s first day of school at Francois DuPont and he’s pumped to prove himself, which is easier said than done. As a quirkless individual, how will he stand next to his peers, especially with Chloe around to glare daggers at him, along with the rumor that the least excelling student in the class’s upcoming Physical Apprehension Test will be expelled?
TLDR: Adrien gets mobbed by fan girls, is adopted by Nino, and gets pumped.

Miraculers while waiting for Marinette to confess her feelings for Adrien:
10 notes · View notes
(So picture this)
Ladybug is upfront to Chat noir that she told someone her identity.
She explains that she just felt so much pressure and it was killing her internally. But she couldn't just hide the fact she told someone from him. It would be cruel and unfair to him. So she wanted to be upfront.
Chat noir is sad that he couldn't be the one she trusted, BUT he tells her that he understands. And he appreciates her honesty.
Ladybug tells him that if he feels the pressure of his superhero life, he can tell one person he trusts with his identity. It isn't right that she is the only one that gets to bend the rules.
"It just can't be me." Ladybug tells him. "It would be too dangerous if I knew. Also you can't tell me who it is. Just let me know if you do."
Chat noir WANTED her to be the one to know, but he says he understands. He will think about it.
So Adrien is talking with Plagg about who he should tell.
"Why not tell Kagami? It could help patch up that relationship?" Plagg points out.
"With how things ended... maybe that wouldn't be a good idea." Adrien answered. He still felt guilty and she was recently akumatized.
Plagg suggests Nino.
"He is your best friend, and he does seem trust worthy."
"That is true, he is loyal and he would totally have my back."
Adrien felt confident telling him, but then doubt.
"But... His girlfriend is the Ladyblogger. Even if he didn't tell her, she could probably figure it out from him. Ladybug would likely have her as one of the LAST people that should know, with her blog and all."
(Cue alya sneeze)
Adrien likely thinking even harder on this.
"Ladybug must have chosen someone she trusts immensely, someone she knows would not be a risk to her identity."
"I need someone I can trust, who hasn't been akumatized, and I know is capable should something go wrong."
Adrien get it.
"Of course! I know the perfect person!"
The next day Adrien asked Marinette if he ask her about something after school.
Marinette was a bit flustered, asking if he could talk with someone else. (she is still struggling to get over him. Also thinking its more dating advice for Kagami) But Adrien explains it has to be her.
Marinette agrees because, they are friends and she should help him. Marinette steadies herself.
Adrien in a private room tells her that she is someone that he trusts deeply.
"If I told you a secret, would you tell anyone?"
"Anyone? How big is this secret?"
Adrien looks around.
"Its a secret I haven't told anyone, my father doesn't know, not even Nino knows."
Marinette felt her pulse quicken, what was this MASSIVE secret.
"And you're trusting me with this?"
"If you promise not to tell anyone. And I mean anyone. No other person can ever hear this secret."
Marinette was thinking of saying no, she has enough secrets in her life. But she looked into his eyes and he just sees this bottomless well of admiration and trust. Adrien really wants to tell her. She couldn't have the heart to say no.
"Okay. I promise not to tell another person. What is your secret?"
Adrien took a deep breathe.
It took him a second to build up the nerve.
"I am Chat noir."
"Like in the movie right? Thats not a secret."
"No, I mean yes I am Voice Chat noir in that. But I mean I am actually chat noir."
"Like in the music video." Marinette's mind was trying to navigate away from this. Trying to give herself a mental escape.
"Like the actual super hero that fights akuma."
Marinette took a step back. She was in hard denial.
"Adrien, this is a little hard to believe."
"I guess the glamour effect of the miraculous really is potent. Plagg Claws out."
Marinette saw Adrien transform into Chat noir.
There were no mental gymnastics in the world that could help her navigate around that.
"Do you believe me meow?"

Marinette: ...I'm Ladybug.
Alya: I know.
Marinette: What do you mean you know?!
Alya: Girl. I literally saw you detransform earlier today. Remember? You were on your bed and I was coming up to the loft?
Marinette: You saw that?
Alya: How could I miss it? You were glowing pink!
Marinette: Then why were you akumatized?!?!
Alya: I dunno.

Betrayal (Or Not)
pairing: Marinette Dupain-Cheng x Damian Wayne
Set during Teen Titans: The Judas Contract
“I’ll make you suffer for this, boy,” Slade snarls. “Next time.” He motions to the helicopter and ascends to the sky. Damian glares.
"Did you get the girl?" Slade asks Ubu, putting on a headset. Ubu nodded.
"Yes, she is currently in one of the other copters, completely immobilized." Slade smirked.
Marinette was immobilized, gagged, and completely pissed.
“What do you want?” she spat as Slade walked into her cell, mask pulled over his head, and removed the gag. He raised an eyebrow.
“Now, is that any way to talk to your superior?” he asked, pulling a chair to sit in front of her. Marinette glared.
“Where? Because you sure as hell aren’t my superior.” Slade smacked her across her face. She scoffed. “Resorting to violence already?” she crooned, smirking at the assassin. “You haven’t even told me why I’m here.” Slade leaned closer, analyzing her.
“How rude of me.” Marinette rolled her eyes. “You’re here because I killed Ra’s and his grandson.” Her eyes widened and she immediately stilled. Did he really . . . ?
“What does that have to do with me?” She tried to act uncaring, but Slade knew better. Or, at least, he thought he did.
“I want you to help me rebuild the League of Assassins. In return, I’ll give you a family.” Marinette internally scoffed, but kept her outward appearance neutral. She made sure to widen her eyes at the prospect, letting hope shine.
“How do I know you’re telling the truth? How do I know that you’ll really do that for me?” she asked, for appearance’s sake. Internally, she was calculating every possible action. She was positive that Damian wasn’t dead. If he died, she would be dead too. However, she didn’t know where Talia would have taken him. Even if she did manage to escape, she had no idea where to start looking. In the long run, staying with Slade was the best option. Because Damian was still alive, Slade would want to either make sure he wouldn’t get in the way of his plans or to kill him. Staying with Slade would lead her right to him.
Slade smiled, believing he had her. After all, she was only a little girl, she couldn’t possibly do anything.
“I would never lie, little one.” Marinette internally gagged, completely grossed out. However, she let out a tiny, hopeful smile, acting just as he expected her to.
“Then . . .” She hesitated, glancing at her chains and then to Slade. She made tears well up into her eyes as she smiled. “I will help you rebuild the League of Assassins.” Slade stood, unlocking the chains and ropes that bound her. She smiled, knowing that she had him fooled, that he completely underestimated her.
She was going to get back to Damian, and no one was going to stop her.
TWO YEARS LATER
Marinette flipped a dagger, completely bored. She was packed, never having unpacked, Slade was off doing who-knows-what and Terra was in deep cover or something, so she had no one to entertain her. Not that she would go to Terra anyway. She hated traitors and Terra’s infatuation with Slade honestly creeped her out to no end.
So she was bored. And alone.
Marinette smirked, catching her dagger and putting it in the sheath. If she was alone, then no one could stop her from going into the areas Slade forbade her from. She never planned to listen, but someone was always around, so she never really had the opportunity to explore. Now she did.
Grabbing her bag with a change of clothes and her favorite weapons, Marinette creeped out of the room, keeping her senses on high alert as she roamed. She heard chanting, too muffled to make out what it says. Curious, she crept closer.
“HAIL BROTHER BLOOD!” Marinette silently walked through an opening, staying close to the wall as she walked farther into the room. Staying in the shadows, she observed the cult members. From what she could tell, there was no one on the stands in the half of the room she was in, all of them congregating to see the holographic screen of who she presumed to be their leader.
She crept closer, keeping her footsteps silent as she eyed the middle of the platform where there was a barely visible circle.
She rolled her eyes as the leader guy called himself a god. He knows nothing of true gods, she thought, silently laughing at the thought. You can’t replicate their power.
She tuned out whatever the man was saying, analyzing the occupants. She wasn’t a fan of the hardcore cult thing, but she had the feeling that she needed to stay in the room. Her gut feelings were rarely ever wrong.
She was starting to debate leaving despite the feeling when the circle in the middle opened, a platform with a large structure rising from the depths, rose petals falling in its wake. She crept closer, knowing that she had to, that there was something, someone, important there. Once she was about twenty feet away, she understood why.
“He’s here,” she whispered, unable to keep the words silent. Luckily, one of her other half’s teammates spoke, drowning out her words.
Marinette silently climbed up the contraption, making sure no one was able to stop her. Once she was at the top, she moved right behind Damian. She tried not to laugh as she heard, “No God is going to save you, Deathstroke.” She smiled.
“No,” she whispered, for his ears only. “We’re going to end them.” Damian hid his smirk, waiting for her command.
Hearing Deathstroke warn Brother Blood to do whatever he was going to do quickly, she moved.
“How rude of you to not invite me,” Marinette lamented, leaning on the side by where Damian was held. All eyes were on her, including the confused Titans.
“And who, exactly, are you?” Brother Blood asked, ignoring Slade glaring at the girl.
“I told you to not come near here!” he yelled, stepping forward. Marinette scoffed, rolling her eyes.
“As if I would ever listen to you,” she spat, standing upright. "Other than the fact that I despise you, I'm twelve. I don't do what I'm told." Brother Blood stared at her.
“Deathstroke, who is she?” he demanded. Deathstroke didn’t take his eyes off of her.
“Supposedly, I’m his apprentice, going by Scarlet Shadow,” she answered, shrugging. “In reality, I’m the person who’s played him like the cheap kazoo he is.” Beast Boy and Blue Beetle tried to hide their laughs. Damian just smirked.
“I would say more of a kazoo found in the garbage,” he said. Marinette giggled.
“You are absolutely right,” she agreed, tilting her head. “Is it really pathetic that he believed I was on his side.” Damian nodded.
“You insolent brats!” Brother Blood yelled, sick of the insults. “Who do you think you are?” Marinette and Damian both grinned.
“The real question is who do you think you are?” All humor faded from her face as she stared him down. “You called yourself a god, but you know nothing of gods or god-given power.” All of the cult followers protested, yelling insults at her. She rolled her eyes.
“And how would you know any better?” Brother Blood seethed, glaring at the girl. She smirked, dark and deadly.
“Because we are the reincarnations of gods,” she said, Damian immediately disintegrating the metal holding him down. Both of their eyes and auras flared, red for Marinette and green for Damian. Everyone’s eyes were wide, including the Titans. Deathstroke cursed.
“It’s been a long time, daesuqa, wouldn’t you agree?” Ladybug. Marinette grinned at her cat.
“I must agree, qat’aswad,” Marinette sighed, creating a dagger. Black cat. “Far too long.” Deathstroke cursed louder.
“It seems he figured it out,” Damian noted, studying Slade with an evil grin. He stepped back.
Just as they were about to insult Slade some more, Nightwing jumped down and started attacking the cult members, not giving them a chance to turn on the machine. The two ex-assassins jumped right in, Damian making sure to release the bonds holding his teammates as Marinette went after Slade first with Damian at her side. Keeping his eyes on the two, he immediately stepped back. They grinned.
“What, are you scared?” Damian taunted, swinging his magical staff in front of him. Slade took another step. “We are just children, after all.”
“He should be,” Marinette noted, twirling her daggers. “After all, you can kill him with a thought and I can make him wish he were dead.” Slade scoffed.
“Batman doesn’t kill,” he snarked, finally holding his ground. Both teens grinned evilly.
“We don’t have to kill you,” Damian purred, sending a shiver down Slade’s spine. “We can hurt you so badly that you will crave the sweet release of death, but we will not give it to you. We will hurt you in every way possible until you go completely insane, and then we’ll hurt you more. It will only end once you become a shell of a man, unable to do anything and no longer living in a way that matters.” Slade took another step back in fear as they stepped forwards.
“Don’t you see, Slade?” Marinette continued. “We don’t need to kill you. We can be much, much worse.” They both let their eyes glow as Nightwing stepped forward.
“Save some of the fun for me,” he said, momentarily ignoring everything that happened with Damian. He can unpack that later.
“Hey, Papa, here’s your pipe!” Damian said, immediately hitting him with his staff, Slade unable to dodge in time. Marinette snorted, immediately lunging for his legs.
The two worked in perfect harmony, instinctively knowing where the other was. They almost seamlessly added Nightwing into the mix, refraining from using their powers. They both knew that Terra was going to be the one to kill him.
"We're getting rusty," Marinette mentioned offhandedly, sounding as if she wasn't in the middle of a fight. Nightwing scoffed.
"That's you two being rusty?" he incredulously asked. Damian smirked.
"You should see us in peak condition."
The other Titans were focused on Brother Blood, his minions distracting them.
Marinette and Damian paused, sensing Terra awakening. Slade lunged, but was intercepted by Nightwing. They could faintly hear Terra screaming and felt the shift from her using her powers.
The two stepped back, pulling Nightwing back as well, as Terra yelled, "Slade! I'm gonna kill you!" She forced two large boulders to the ground, Slade moving just in time. Terra fell to the ground, glaring.
"I was being studied, like all the rest, wasn't I?" she asked, not giving him time to respond. "You planned this, right from the start!"
"I literally told you that," Marinette muttered, rolling her eyes. "You didn't listen to me."
"Calm down," Slade tried to placate, ignoring Marinette's scoff. "This is all a big misunderstanding, love." He took off his mask, showing his face. Marinette pretended to gag, Damian laughed in response.
"Terra, no!" Nightwing stepped forward, Robin on his right and Marinette on his left.
Ignoring him, Terra made a rock barrier, separating them from her and Slade. Marinette shrugged, watching as dust and rock particles flew above the barrier.
"Well, he deserves whatever she's doing to him," she stated, turning around. She rolled her eyes as she heard Brother Blood calling the Titans demon filth.
"They're not demons," she heard Raven state. "Let me show you one. Azarath, Metrione, Zynthose!" Marinette glanced at Damian.
"I think I like her," she mentioned, walking closer to see a giant raven. "Oh, I definitely like her." Damian smirked.
"I figured you would." Marinette giggled, nudging his side. He nudged her back, smiling. Nightwing stared.
"I'm so confused, but we can figure this out later. Right now, we need to leave." They nodded, meeting the rest of the Titans as they evacuated.
They watched the building crumble, Beast Boy screaming for Terra, and Marinette staring at the ground.
"You can't save someone who doesn't want to be saved," she whispered, resting a hand on Beast Boy's shoulder. He looked up, tears in his eyes.
"Who even are you?" he asked, shrugging her hand off. “And how do you know Robin?” Marinette and Damian exchanged a look.
"That's something we shouldn't discuss out in the open.”
"Alright," Nightwing stated, setting down the last cup of hot chocolate. "Let's start with introductions. I'm Dick Grayson."
"Garfield Logan." Beast Boy was quiet, somber. Marinette didn't blame him.
"Jaime Reyes," Blue Beetle stated, smiling at her. "Nice to meet you." She smiled back.
"Koriand'r, but you may call me Kori."
"You already know me," Damian stated, bumping his shoulder against her. She rolled her eyes playfully.
"I'm Marinette Dupain-Cheng. It's a pleasure to meet you all." She smiled, nodding to all of them.
"It's nice to meet you as well, Marinette," Kori said, eyes gleaming. "However, we do have some questions that we would like you to answer." Marinette nodded.
"Understandable. I'm willing to answer whatever you ask me." Dick leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees.
"How do you two know each other?" he asked, looking from Marinette to Damian. Damian answered before she could.
"We grew up together," he stated, crossing his arms. Gar's eyes grew wide.
"Wait, so you're an assassin, too?" he asked, perking up. Marinette shrugged.
"Well, kind of. I've never actually killed anyone before, but I was raised as an assassin by assassins.” Dick raised an eyebrow.
“How’d you end up never killing anyone?” he asked. Damian and Marinette shrugged.
“We always had missions together, so I would be the one to end their life,” Damian explained. “Marinette was the best at interrogation, torture, and manipulation.” Jaime and Gar scooted away from her.
“That’s what I did with Slade. Information gathering.” Damian tilted his head.
“Why were you working for Deathstroke?” Raven asked, all eyes turning to Marinette. She sighed, leaning against Damian.
“When Slade staged a coup to kill Ra’s al Ghul, another assassin, Ubu, sent fifteen men to kidnap me.” Damian hissed, pupils slitting, as the others raised their eyebrows.
“It took fifteen men to kidnap you?” Jaime asked, completely incredulous. Marinette shrugged.
“It wouldn’t have been a problem, but Damian was on the other side of the compound and neither of us are sure of the limits of our capabilities, so we prefer to not use them when we are not together. But after Ubu and Slade kidnapped me, they held me in an interrogation cell for two days before Slade decided to grace me with his presence.” She rolled her eyes. “He told me that he killed Ra’s and Damian then explained how he wanted me to help him rebuild the League of Assassins.” Now Damian raised an eyebrow.
“Did he really think you would believe that?” he asked, scoffing at the very idea. Marinette laughed.
“He did. After that, it was easy to play him. He underestimated me, and believed my first priority was the League. With him believing that I was loyal to him, it was only a matter of time until he led me to Damian.” Everyone nodded.
“What did you mean by your capabilities?” Dick asked, staring mainly at Damian. They shared a look, hesitant.
“It is not something that should be taken lightly,” Damian started, staring at his older brother. “As it is also not something that is easily understood.”
“Marinette said that you were the reincarnations of gods. What did you mean by that?” Marinette shrugged.
“Exactly that. Well,” she paused, “kind of.” Damian sighed.
“How about we start at the beginning, with Tikki and Plagg.” Marinette nodded.
“Before there was anything, there was Tikki, the Kwami of creation. A Kwami is a divine being, kind of like gods, born of abstract concepts that come into existence in the universe. Tikki is one example of a Kwami, another is Plagg, Kwami of destruction,” Marinette took a breath, Damian picking up where she left off.
“Tikki and Plagg are counterparts, representing the ideal of yin and yang. Where there is one, there must be the other. They balance each other, and the universe requires balance.”
“What does this have to do with you two?” Gar wondered. Damian glared at him.
“We’re getting there.” Marinette nudged him, taking over.
“Before they were bound to jewels, the Miraculous, Kwami were intangible entities, unable to interact directly with humans. So when a mage offered to bind them to jewels, able to share their abilities with whoever held it, they agreed. But, to be bound to a jewel, they first had to bind themselves to a soul that resonates with them completely. These souls became known as Kanduits, being reincarnated in every other life cycle.”
“Marinette is the Kanduit of creation, as I am the Kanduit of destruction.” The Titans stared, none of them expecting that. “As Kanduits, we are able to channel their powers without the use of a Miraculous, which is why I was able to destroy the binds holding us.”
“Kwamis do not work the same way metas or any other powers do,” Marinette explained. “The only thing that can stop pure destructive energy is pure creative energy, hence why I was there.” Kori tilted her head.
“Why did you not break out sooner?” she asked, confused. Damian shook his head.
“Without Marinette nearby, I may end up going overboard. I could have collapsed the entire building or disintegrated everyone. Neither of us have full control of our abilities yet.” Gar and Jaime gaped as Raven raised an eyebrow. “Also, it’s difficult to tell where exactly destruction ends and creation begins.” Gar scoffs.
“Can’t be that hard,” he said, crossing his arms and leaning back. “They’re, like, complete opposites.” Damian rolled his eyes.
“Are they really?” Marinette asked, quirking an eyebrow. “What of atomic bombs then? They were created, but only with the sole intent of destroying everything. Torture devices? The destruction of slavery and harmful groups? Even volcanoes fall under that gray area.” The room was silent, thinking over her words. “There are a lot of things that we don’t know if we can do, even more that we don’t know if it classifies as creation or destruction. That’s why we try to not use our powers without the other nearby. That, and it could create an imbalance in the universe if one of us progresses too much faster than the other.”
“What happens with an imbalance?” Jaime asked, crossing his arms. Marinette frowned.
“It depends.” Damian shrugged nonchalantly. “The fall of Atlantis is one example.” Marinette rolled her eyes, Titans shell shocked.
“No, that was Plagg being mistreated by the King. Because the people were innocent, Tikki saved them. You’re thinking of the fall of Themyscira,” she amended. Damian tilted his head, eyes squinting.
“Are you sure? Because I thought that was the extinction of dinosaurs.” Marinette sighed.
“No, that was Plagg too. What was not Plagg, ironically, was the Black Plague. That was the result of the imbalance.” Damian cackled.
“What the heck?” Jaime whispered, staring at the two in horror.
“The one time Plagg doesn’t do something is the one time it gets named after him.” Marinette giggles, shaking her head.
“Plagg is a mess.” Damian nodded in agreement.
“Wasn’t he also the reason for the Leaning Tower of Pisa?” Marinette gave a long suffering sigh.
“He and Trixx were playing tag and ran into it.” Damian nodded solemnly.
“Somehow, I’m not surprised.”
“Who’s Trixx?” Gar asked, leaning forward curiously. Marinette smiled.
“Another Kwami. Trixx is the Kwami of illusion.”
“That’s so cool!” Gar exclaimed. “So you two are able to use the Kwami’s powers, right? Does that mean you can create anything you want? Or that Damian can destroy anything?” The two nodded.
“We think so. We haven’t explored the limits of our power, and it’s a bit more complicated than that, but simply put, I guess so.” Gar nodded, eyes still shining with metaphorical stars. Jaime shook his head fondly.
“Calm down there, hermano, we’re not done yet.” Gar pouted, but leaned back in his seat. Kori giggled.
“Are you two able to communicate telepathically?” Raven asked, picking up on the various emotions swirling between the two. They shook their heads.
“We were raised and trained together since we were born, including on how to read body language. I know her as well as I know myself,” Damian explained, shrugging nonchalantly. “I don’t need to read her mind to know what she’s thinking.”
“Why didn’t you tell us any of this before?” Dick asked, trying to hide his hurt. They both looked down.
“It’s not exactly something that you can easily bring up,” Marinette said, scooting closer to Damian. “Plus, it wasn’t the right time.”
“Why wouldn’t it be the right time?” Gar asked, tilting his head like a dog. Damian sighed.
“To have told you before would be to directly challenge Fate. Fate has a time and place for everything. Going against that never ends well.” They were all silent for a moment.
“You know,” Dick started, staring at his little brother with mischief in his eyes, “we’re gonna have to tell B and the others about this.” Damian immediately groaned, burying his head in Marinette’s neck.
“Kill me now.”

Adventure to the Heart Chapter 20: Passionfruit
Its a not great day, but Adrien knows just what might make it better. Of course, what he finds is much better than even he expected...
First | Previous | Next | Last
Read on Ao3
Adrien loved sunny days. The bright light seemed to make everything clearer, the warmth felt like a loving embrace, and the pale blue skies reminded him of his lady. There was plenty to love about those kinds of days.
But it wasn’t sunny. He wasn’t sure if the sun had managed to break through the dark grey clouds even once today. The rain had been erratic and cold, with the wind making a mockery of any attempts to hide under an umbrella. He knew patrol would be cancelled, especially since Hawkmoth had been unusually quiet as of late. This only made his heart long to see the blue sky today, if only to be reminded of her eyes.
Poor weather had only been the icing on his terrible day. With the spring fashion line growing ever closer, his father had been working him ragged just to get all the advertisements shot in time. Adrien would be honestly surprised if his father had time for anything else right now, and he was passing that burden onto Adrien as well. Being so tired had earned him a poor grade on Ms Mendeleev’s pop quiz. Between that and the exhaustion looming over everything, was it any wonder why he got absolutely beat up in fencing today?
Standing on the front step of the school, bruised, exhausted, and slowly getting drenched despite his umbrella, Adrien wondered if he should even bother going to dungeons and dragons today. No one would blame him if he didn’t - his awful day had hardly been a secret. They would all understand that he just wanted to go home and collapse on his bed. And besides, he didn’t want to bring down the mood with his own poor attitude.
Adrien breathed a long sigh before crossing the street to go to Marinette’s house. Maybe this was a bad idea, maybe it wasn’t. But he’d at least rather be bummed with friends than alone in his room. And besides, he couldn’t bring himself to break his perfect attendance streak. It might be silly and he wouldn’t say it out loud to avoid being teased, but it had almost become something sacred to him. A tradition that always ended up being the highlight of the week.
Opening the door to the bakery, Adrien closed his eyes and sighed contently as he felt the warm air wash over him. It was enough to push away at least some of the sorrows of the day. And that was before he caught the delicious smells on the air. Bread, of course, and cookies and macaroons and…
He opened his eyes to see Marinette coming out of the kitchen in the back, apron dirtied with some last minute cooking and a platter of the most delicious croissants he had ever seen in his life. His jaw dropped as he realized that they were where the passionfruit smell was coming from. Marinette came to a stop in front of him, shifting her weight from one foot to the other.
“I heard you were having a rough day, so… um…” Her eyes briefly met his and she jerkily thrusted the platter toward him. “Here you go?”
Adrien hesitantly took the platter, still in awe. He could feel his eyes watering ever so slightly and he quickly blinked them away.
It wasn’t just the treats that were getting to him. Everything about it reminded him just how well Marinette knew him, and that she always had his back. Who else would have remembered his favorite flavor? And who else would have rushed home to quickly make him a batch of croissants? Fencing took a while, but not that long.
He looked back up from the croissants, into her bright blue eyes and was surprised when his heart skipped a beat.

Submitted Prompt: Noblesse Oblige
An idea that simply popped in my mind. Don’t know how good/bad it is.
Happens before “Miracle Queen” but after “Chameleon”.
So we all know that Chloe is a horrible person.
That was stated and verified more than we care to count.
Of course, her father is also a horrible person (a fascist), because if he wasn’t he wouldn’t have coddled his daughter so much and would have educated her on good behavior and being a good person.
So was it strange that Chloe can do whatever she wants with no one being able to oppose her?
Naturally, Chloe has no problem upsetting and hurting people.
After all what’s the worst that can happen? Will she have an Akuma targeting her? So what? Ladybug fixes everything, so it won’t really matter in the end.
Except when it does.
So, Chloe once more goes around upsetting and tormenting someone because she can, and they get Akumatised.
Except this time, the Akuma that comes has the power to end Chloe’s reign, and even Ladybug’s cure won’t be able to fix the damage here.
The person who got Akumatised was a person with the belief that with authority, comes responsibility, and someone with power and influence (especially if they had too much power) must use them for the sake of their people.
Cue the appearance of the Akuma called Noblesse Oblige, an Akuma with the power to force the bodies of anyone cruel with infuence to act “nobly” and the entirety of Paris gets affected.
The results, well, they are definitely not pretty as far as the cruel people see it.
Not only do Gabriel and Andre Bougeois find themselves unable to stop as their bodies are moving on their own to distribute their immense wealth to the population of Paris and possibly beyond, but the two (along with other like-minded people) find themselves apologizing on live television about how awful they are, how they extorted and blackmailed people to keep their power, how they abused people because they can, how they abused their children, and all their various crimes.
Bonus if the Akuma’s power had them sign to remove their kids from their custody and have Adrien, Chloe, Lila, and XY be put with actual loving parents who can deal with any behavior problems the kids have as a result of their abuse.
Even more bonus if Gabriel is forced to apologize for being Hawkmoth and forced to give his Miraculous (with gritted teeth, mind you, the guy won’t give up unless he is utterly stopped with no chance to ever fight back).
Of course, even if the Akuma was dealt with, and the adoptions are erased by the Miraculous Ladybugs, the citizens will remember what happened, and won’t like having people with such awful and cruel personality to have power over them, so it’s pretty much guaranteed that Gabriel, Andre, and anyone else won’t be able to be in any position of power for much longer (if they are not outright caught and bound by the civilians, or executed because of their crimes then and there).
PS: If you want Adrien to be affected, have him become forced to apologize for harassing Marinette, apologize to Plagg for abusing him, his classmates for guilt-tripping them about Chloe, and possibly giving his ring up to Marinette or to Plagg. Chloe has to apologize to everyone she’s ever bullied, including Sabrina.

[ Summary: Alya takes Marinette somewhere, and it turns cute. ]
Alya decided that Marinette wasn’t getting out enough despite the fact that they shouldn't be going anywhere when it was still late winter.
“Girl, you hardly go anywhere anyways unless it’s for someone else!” Alya argues as she dragged a snugly bundled Marinette down snow and salt dusted sidewalks.
“Hey, I went to the school’s Valentine’s party last month, that should count for something!”
Allya scoffed at the weak defense. “You were, like, a ninth-wheel, Marinette. Rose and Juleka, Nathaniel and Marc, Mylène and Ivan, Nino and I, we were the wheels on that bus. You on the other hand…” She trailed off to emphasize her point.
Marinette scoffed. “I think you missed a set of wheels, Als. Max and Kim were there. Chloé and Adrien showed up, too.”
“Max was there sporting an Aro-pride flag pin and keeping Kim company,” Alya shot back. “They were just being single-wheels, together. And Adrien, with Chloé? More like she had kidnapped him to a secondary location! Adrien clearly wasn't the one to decide to show up. And remember the color coded cups? He was using the one for the ‘Single, just here to support my friends’ category. Just like Max, just like you. So my point still stands: You need to get out more often, just for yourself.”
Marinette sighed, relenting. “Fine, but next time, I get to decide where I go, so no more surprise trips.”
“Yesss,” Alya pumped her fist in the air victoriously, her wings spreading out, too. Marinette laughed and pushed her hand back down to her side while she dodged out of the way of one fairly the overexcited wing.
“Anyways, where are we going? You said something about, ‘You’re going to love it, my treat!’” Marinette quoted in an exaggerated mimic of Alya’s voice, causing both girls to burst into giggles.
“Just a café,” Alya says coyly, almost teasingly. It made Marinette squint in suspicion.
“It wouldn’t happen to be the same café you mentioned two weeks ago on the Ladyblog, right? The one they planned to theme after Paris’s new heroes?” Marinette asked, teasing her friend right back with her confident guess.
“You remembered! Yep, that’s the place! And it’s not just any regular themed café, either. It’s a cat café,”Alya revealed dramatically, while spreading her wings again to wrap them both in a mock cocoon of unnecessary but playful secrecy. Marinette balked.
“Wait, so you’re basically taking me to a ‘Chat Blanc emphasis-on-the-Chat’ Café?”
Alya snorted, pulling her wings back. “Yes, but it’s actually called ‘Hero Rescue Café’. They work together with the animal shelters around Paris, most of the cats they have are available for adoption. The profits are even donated back to those shelters to help keep the animals cared for. Isn’t that cool?”
“Mhm,” Marinette nodded along as Alya continued to rave excitedly and lead the way to their destination. I wonder if they’ll have any cats that look like Blanc? Probably not. Blue-eyed white cats were already popular, and no doubt are even more so now. Not that I could adopt a cat anyways, but it’s a niche thought. Wait, why is it a nice thought? It’s not like I like Chat Blanc or anything, no way! I don’t do crushes! Oh, who am I kidding? Marinette groaned in defeat to her own thoughts, making Alya stop talking and look at her.
“Something wrong, Marinette?”
“Oh! Sorry, I didn’t mean to worry you, I was just thinking about how sad I’m going to be if I see a cat I really want to keep but can’t?”
Alya nodded in acceptance of the awkward excuse, and Marinette sighed in relief. I can never tell her about my crush- I’m scared to find out what kind of match-maker she would try to be. Or even worse, tell me I have no chance! I mean, I know I have no chance, but still, ow. Would Ladybug have a chance? Wait, she and I are the same person! If I don’t have a chance, neither does Ladybug! Hold on, why am I even thinking about this!?
“We’re here~!” Alya announced, breaking Marinette free once more from her internal chaos.
“Is that a cat in the window? There’s a cat in the window!” Marinette let herself get distracted by the café and Alya laughed.
“Duh there's a cat in the window, it’s a cat café, what else would be in the window?” She teased, but Marinette only laughed.
“Well I know that, but I can still be excited over a cat, can’t I?”
“Save it for when we go inside,” Alya winked, opening the door for them both. There was a second set of doors past the first, and Marinette realized that they did the smart thing and made an enclosed entryway.
“Oh, this is to keep the cats from dashing outside, like at a dog park,” she mused, making Alya chuckle.
“Yeah, and gives people a fur-free place to hang up their coats. Oh, look!” She added excitedly, pointing to the opposite wall from the hanger rod. There was something that almost looked like a long shawl or a barber cape. Marinette recognized it easily. “They have wing-covers for patrons to borrow, in case we don’t want the cat’s playing with our feathers. That’s so thoughtful. They really went all-out on this place.”
Marinette smiled and nodded in agreement as she slid off her jacket and hung it up. “It really is sweet of them. Are you going to use one?” Alya shook her head.
“Nope. My wing’s are tough, I can handle a few clingy kitties,” she declared with a proud smile, and Marinette only chuckled as she opened the next set of doors for them both.
Unsurprisingly, Marinette enjoyed the café. She spent a lot of time admiring their logo that was embedded in the resin coating of their tables. The stylized lettering was inspired by some of the animal-themed Akumas. Then the entire name was encircled by the white belt of Chat Blanc and the red and black yo-yo of Ladybug. Symbolic of two heroes saving those in need. They really thought this out. Maybe Ladybug should show her respect here some time.
Surprisingly, the café’s cats also enjoyed Marinette. Alya was convinced they had met every single cat in the building before they even got their drinks. Marinette was just embarrassed and spent a lot of time spreading her attention between each feline before shooing them all off towards other guests. One of the cats, sleek black with yellow-flecked green eyes, was too stubborn to leave, so she let him claim her lap indefinitely.
But, completely unbelievably, the café got a surprise guest. Chat Blanc himself showed up out of the blue. Alya had spotted him running across a rooftop across the street, and proceeded to book it out the door, fly after him, and then shamelessly ask to take a photo of him with the cats that were inside the café inspired by him and his partner. He was stunned at first, but agreed, soon enough beaming happily as he surrounded himself with cats.
“Is he crying?” Marinette whispered to Alya as she recorded the feline hero sitting on the floor with at least five different cats climbing his back, shoulders, and into his lap.
“The happiest tears I’ve ever seen,” Alya confirmed.
Once Alya was satisfied she had taken enough pictures and video footage for the blog, she turned her focus to getting a few personal memorabilias.
“Mari! Come here! Take a pic of me with Chat, please? I want something for my desktop background, this would be perfect!”
Marinette agreed, to the annoyance of the cat in her lap. She managed to get the photo, a cute scene of Alya, her nerdy school friend, and Chat Blanc, her dorky friend-but-only-because-she’s-secretly-Ladybug, doing a silly pose with their arms linked, wings flared out, and several cats surrounding them.
She gave a thumbs up, and Alya whooped, standing to take back the phone. Marinette stepped forward, only for the clingy black cat from earlier to entangle himself with her ankles.
With a squawk, she went tumbling, but was deftly caught in the arms of Chat before she could meet an untimely end via a floor of cats.
Marinette flushed scarlet. Chat Blanc smiled shyly. The black cat jumped up on them, getting his lap-seat back. Alya, of course, got another photo.
All three of them managed to laugh it off, but not without Alya demanding another picture of the two and the cats before she would let them stand up.
“Marinette, I’m texting you copies to keep for yourself. Sorry, Chat, I’d send you some but-”
“No worries,” he chuckled and rubbed his neck, waving her concern away with his other hand. “Secret identity means secret number. You’ll be using your own pictures on your computer, though, right? Consider me honored by that,” he bowed dramatically and the two laughed as he straightened. “And Marinette, I’d be more than happy to let you do the same if you wanted, too,” he played the comment off with a wink.
“Time for me to go,” Chat Blanc continued before either girl could respond. “Chat out!”
They watched him dash out the doors and off over the rooftops.
“Girl...Did he just flirt with you?” Alya looked at Marinette, awestruck.
“What? No! There’s no way! Nope!” Marinette flustered and started walking out in a feeble attempt to escape the accusation.
“Uh-huh, because feeling ‘honored’ to be a screensaver for one girl and being ‘happy’ in case it were to happen by a second girl, is totally the same thing,” Alya followed after, determined to tease the life out of Marinette.
“Yes, exactly! Completely the same! It would have just been awkward to say the same line twice, so he just reworded himself, that's all! He was just giving permission to use his picture for personal use, nothing more, nope!”
Alya laughed before winking playfully. “Yeah, girl, sure. That was all, nothing more, nothing less. Whatever you say.”
“Thank you,” Marinette nodded in finality, ignoring the teasing sarcasm from her friend.
Later that day, Marinette saved one of the café photos as her phone’s background, making sure to put a completely different photo as her lockscreen to avoid any further notice or teasing about her and Chat Blanc.

Submitted Prompt: "Much Like Hermes"
Spoilers for Season 4 Episodes “Truth” and “Lies”. Takes canonical events from those episodes and flips them on their ear.
When Marinette is struck by Truth’s power, Adrien leaps in to ‘save’ her by interrupting the Akuma’s question with one of his own: “What are my top three qualities?”
Naturally, he expects to be praised; after all, she’s magically compelled to tell the truth right now, isn’t she?
But rather than praising his 'self-confidence’, 'courage’ or 'sense of humor’, Marinette responds with blunt force honesty that he’s 'overconfident’, 'reckless’ and 'never takes anything seriously’.
Adrien is so staggered by this that he’s barely even notices Truth hitting her again – but rather than immediately demanding to know her secret identity, Truth presses this unexpected weakness by asking whether or not she trusts Chat Noir.
“Not anymore,” Marinette admits. She used to, in the beginning, but that trust has taken a hard beating as of late.
Offended, Adrien tempts fate by demanding to know what he did to deserve her mistrust.
Unfortunately for him, Truth’s Amok Pharo arrives at that point and casts HIM in its paralyzing spotlight, as Truth agrees, asking the same question--but not to Marinette, to Adrien: what did he do to lose his partner’s trust?
And Adrien is forced to answer.
He is forced to painstakingly listing off his crimes against ’his lady’.
It’s a long, long list, filled with things Marinette is already well aware of – such as his complete lack of regard for her boundaries, how he lies about their relationship status and claims they’re closer than they are, that he finds her resistance 'funny’ and all part of the game… and also things she didn’t know.
Like how he got Theo akumatized into Copycat by lying about them, and convinced her that SHE was to blame because she didn’t show up to the ceremony.
Like how he blackmailed his kwami by threatening to renounce being Chat Noir and let Syren drown Paris unless he learned what Ladybug was hiding from him – namely, the existence of the Guardian.
Like how he currently has a girlfriend, but has continued pursuing and flirting with Ladybug anyway because she’s his 'end goal’, and he doesn’t actually care about his girlfriend at all.
Like how he has been hoping for more Akumatizations so he gets to spend more time harassing her, and tried to get Xavier Ramier Akumatized into Mister Pigeon again on purpose.
The list of offenses goes on and on and on, distracting Truth and Pharo long enough for Marinette to use her Lucky Charm and turn the tables. But the damage has obviously already been done, as she and Chat Noir now have a lot they need to talk about. Privately.
Adrien has enjoyed his last spotlight.
He got what he wanted, though: at the end of the day, Adrien Agreste walks away knowing EXACTLY what Ladybug thinks of him. And all it cost him was a single Ring.

Submitted prompt: I'm in
In another day where Ladybug needs to deal with the drama on her life, suddenly she no longer feels like it matters. It’s brief, but she feels like something is missing.
She get’s her answer when she rmembers the sight of Chat Noir attacking an Akuma.
She guesses she ended up getting hit, however the stranger part is that she doesn’t feel like that. Nothing hurts, she hasn’t been transformed, she doesn’t feel like she’s being mind-controlled.
Getting back to her senses, the first thing she notices is she’s back to normal, no longer transformed. Thankfully Tikki’s by her side, and she has both her earrings, but for some reason she feels the urge to not retransform.
Not seeing the Akuma anywhere, Marinette decides to look around and ends up at her school. Now looking clearly, she get’s confused by how unnatural her classmates seem, she no longer feels the need to talk with them or greet Adrien.
In return he barely seems to notice she’s even there, but she does hears about how much he “admires” Chat Noir to an almost unhealthy degree.
Horrified, she decides to try again and finds how much easier talking with Alya is, how much easy ignoring Adrien is. If she ever felt so ridiculous for having a crush on him now, she doesn’t know, but hearing how this alternate Alya talks with her does. They talk for a long time, about a lot of things – Marinette’s no-longer important crush on Adrien, Marinette’s unhealthy and creepy behavior towards Adrien, even Alya’s behavior with the Ladyblog, shipping Marinette with Chat Noir even when Marinette was clearly upset. It just feels natural that this Alya knows she’s Ladybug. Marientte doesn’t have to keep any secrets from her. She can trust her.
They talk about a lot of things. The good and the bad, both of their behaviors that they like and dislike, boundaries they need to set and respect.
She doesn’t think about how much time passed between her passing out and this, but she can tell that whatever restrains she has on her disappeared.
Suddenly her vision on her relationships is a lot clear, because she’s now able to tell EVERYTHING wrong with how she views others. Really, she should thank whatever Akuma did this.
Not even a moment later, she feels like she’s hit again and opens her eyes, she’s Ladybug again and Chat Noir goes back to flirt with her, as if ignoring she was just hit and knocked out.
The fight ends rather quickly, but something she notices is how annoying Chat Noir behavior was– distracting her so much that if she wasn’t careful she could get hit again.
So, she leaves as soon as she purifies the akuma, not even trying to make their ususal “pound it”, leaving him very annoyed. Trying to leave, she quickly notices Chat Noir following her and hides in the crowd long enough to detransform safely.
Does Marinette learns from this experience? Does she talks with Tikki about everything she experiences and forces her to actualy be a mentor?
How does Marinette’s and Alya’s relationship come to place? Do they talk about their habits towards the other?
Does Chat Noir notices something wrong and forces Ladybug to go back to normal? Or does he thinks everything’s fine and continue being his usual self?

⚠︎︎Miraculous Ladybug S3 + S4 spoilers⚠︎
Right so if Ladybee/Queenbug will be an actual thing in S4 of MLB what do you think happened? Like why would Marinette have to wear it?
Theory 1: It could just be a “Dragonbug” situation where Zoé (the new bee miraculous holder) can’t get to her miraculous so Marinette had to wear it, like how Kagami couldn’t wear the dragon miraculous in the last episode of S3 because she was preoccupied (she was under Chloé’s control).
Theory 2: There have been fans that think Zoé will be an antagonist this season and if she is, and Marinette found out, she’d wear it herself if she needed to [instead of returning it to Chloé who destroyed Ladybugs trust :,)].
I think this theory is interesting because it gives us another villain close to Marinette like Lila (they aren’t close but they are in the same class so..) also kinda like how Kagami was at first
(also can we appreciate the animation style^^)
Theory 3: In this theory Zoé isn’t a villain at all, and she wants to be the bee miraculous holder but she knows how much the bee miraculous meant to Chloé and doesn’t want to hurt her (because they are half-sisters and she just wants Chloé to be happy) so she rejects the be miraculous for Chloé.
I love this theory because it introduces a character that truely cares about Chloé and might even bring about her third redemption arc. (And even if Zoé doesn’t reject the bee miraculous it would be nice to see someone support Chloé other than Sabrina and sometimes Adrien)
I think these are all great theories and they all have potential to be great story lines, if you like any of these theories, want more S4 theories, or have some yourself let me know (via asks, comments or dms)
Have a miraculous day! ;)

Wait wait I suddenly thought about Trixx being the one to try to cheer Marinette up and who knew that the best way to get her to detransform was by reminding her Tikki would be exhausted. And how this would also be Alya’s approach, because like Trixx she gets Marinette. Trixx and Alya really are great for each other 😭

(is she --?)

- a summary

I’m leaning toward Ladybug telling Chat she revealed herself to someone. She wouldn’t be specific about who as that would narrow down who she is and I don’t think she’s ready or would think it’s safe to tell Chat who she is yet. He’s in the line of fire too much with Akumas and that could backfire.
I’ve seen some posts about who Adrien would tell and I have thoughts on that. I really don’t think he would go running to Marinette. We don’t see enough closeness between them on screen. I don’t think they’re quite there yet. I’ve seen some people mention Chloe. I’m gonna say a hard no there. They seem to have grown apart, not to mention the whole queen wasp fiasco. She hasn’t shown she can be trusted. Nino is the most likely candidate here. As Adrien’s best friend, he’s highest on the list.
