When Adrien has his outburst and quits being Chat Noir, the ring ends up in the hands of someone new after a crow picks it up and brings it to a human who feeds him regularly. (Crows do that with humans who are nice to them, sometimes.) This person is Célestin Rivage, a trans boy who is an up and coming fashion designer. He’s active on social media calling out the industry’s problem with underpaying workers, using sweatshops, and other awful practices in the fashion industry, someone Marinette follows and thinks is nice but doesn’t have a crush on. She wants to be a sustainable fashion designer who makes things that last and that contribute to the anti-fast fashion movement in France, so she follows his Tiktok and YouTube, uses some of his tips on how to spot poor craftsmanship and signs a garment was made with unethical labor, etc.

Célestin is not sure he’s the right choice for a superhero. As he tells Plagg, he’s got real concerns about if he can do superhero duties, schoolwork and his part time job correctly without neglecting some aspect of it. But since he’s moved to Paris and Paris has akuma attacks, it would be immoral not to jump in and try to help while he’s here. Ladybug shouldn’t have to do everything by herself. So he jumps into a fight against an akuma, they win, and then he takes off the ring and holds it out to her, explaining he’s not right for this but he trusts her to find someone who is. He trusts her judgment. But Marinette… well, she just had a fight where someone took the threat seriously, didn’t clown around and had her back for once. She sees someone who views having a miraculous as an incredibly serious thing. After having dealt with Chat’s nonsense, that’s wonderful.

Ladybug tells Célestin to keep the cat miraculous for the time being. She’ll look for another candidate to give it to long-term. For now, though, she trusts him to do the job correctly, since he takes it seriously. The bigger issue she has is Alya speculating on the Ladyblog that Ladybug and Chat Noir broke up or that Ladybug is cheating on Chat Noir with the new black cat. Exhausted with Alya insisting the two are dating and not listening to anything Ladybug has ever said about not being interested in him, Ladybug stops giving her interviews and instead, with Célestin’s help, sets up her own social media accounts and personal site in order to be able to speak to people directly. She talks about how Chat has harassed her, touched her without her consent, repeatedly ignored her boundaries and made her life harder. Paris’ opinion of him turns sour at the same rate as Adrien at school gets snappier and shorter tempered with the people around him. Marinette’s crush on Adrien fades as she sees him defending Chat Noir, arguing with other people and generally being less and less mature in ways that are distinctly repulsive instead of charming. Lila decides to go for a different model she’s charmed online who isn’t defending sexual harassment, Chloe is too busy trying to figure out what’s going on with Adrien to bother Marinette, everything is looking up.

Then Adrien gets akumatized. It’s a combination of having his hero persona disliked by everyone, seeing Ladybug be happy with someone else, and the fact that she said she wasn’t romantically interested in him. He manages to suck at being an akuma because the person he goes after, immediately, is the new Chat, Chat Minuit. He thinks this man somehow stole his girlfriend despite all evidence to the contrary, and yells out that he was Chat Noir and Ladybug is his. Ladybug has never been more disappointed or repulsed in her life. Unfortunately for him, Alya livestreamed most of the fight. Now people know he was the douchebag Ladybug had been complaining about, and they’re mad, so Gabriel, if only because he likes money and this is bad for his company’s reputation and profits, shuffles Adrien off to a private boarding school away from angry, dangerous people who hate him enough to want to hurt him. (Yes, Adrien is a minor and shouldn’t be threatened by adults, but sadly, we’ve seen adults IRL threaten minors. It’s wrong but it happens. The fic just shields him from it because no minor, even a shitty one, should be threatened by adults with physical or mental harm.)

Alya apologizes to Ladybug for everything and vows to make amends. Marinette excels at pursuing her fashion career without having to worry about carrying around Chat Noir’s deadweight and instead has someone to lean on when it comes to superheroics. Célestin ends up being the permanent new holder of the cat miraculous and finally overcoming his ongoing fears of not being a good enough person. Now the fight against Hawkmoth can go on but with two competent superheros, not just one.

In my mind I picture Célestin as black, but honestly I’d be cool with a prompt filler making him another race so long as he wasn’t white. This show has way too many white characters when you look at France’s actual demographics already. Please keep him a nonwhite biromantic ace who isn’t automatically attracted to Marinette and she isn’t automatically attracted to him because people can in fact just be friends, regardless of what bad writing might tell you. Give me some bi ace rep where being bi doesn’t mean crushing on everyone or cheating and being ace doesn’t mean being cold or standoffish and I will die happy.

ML College AU

Disclaimer: My problem with ML is with the writers and their decisions, not really any one specific character. Am I salty towards some characters? Yes, but it’s mostly due to how they’re written.

I think it would be interesting to see a College AU for Miraculous Ladybug, specifically Marinette learning that she doesn’t always have to take care of everyone. 

In this AU, Mari would definitely be in a University with a top fashion program, and would be very busy with her work. Sure she still keeps up with her old classmates, but she’s not as involved as she used to be. She was so burnt out from having to constantly look after her classmates (via planning trips, events, doing favors) that she’d almost forgotten what it was like to just take time for herself. She could also make new friends in college, who are more independent than her old classmates were, and don’t pressure her to overwork herself. Much to Marinette’s surprise, when she helps them, they return the favor and help her as well, so it’s a very nice change of pace. Marinette is thriving in college, creatively, emotionally, mentally, and physically. 

It could start with one of her former classmates having a problem, and requesting that she fix it. Force of habit maybe? Or maybe that they’re just so used to having their Everyday Ladybug handle everything that they aren’t used to figuring out things for themselves. When they were all in class together Ms. Bustier usually had Marinette sort things out whenever there was a problem, which not only hurt Mari, but hurt her classmates too since all they learned was that when there was a problem, you have Marinette fix it. Mari could hear Bustier’s voice in her head telling her to swoop in and save the day, but one of her friends asks her what could she do? The classmate in question goes to a completely different university, Marinette no longer has to deal with it. So she replies back that she can’t fix it and they’re going to need to figure it out on their own, and it’s like she dropped a bomb on them.

She would be hounded with messages calling her all sorts of names and demanding she fix it immediately. Lila would wail about how she knew Marinette was a bully all along, and Adrien would privately message her and tell her it’s her responsibility, no it’s her sole purpose to fix their problems. Demands would be thrown at her, she would be called names, insults flung along the lines of “You’re supposed to, it’s what you’re here for,” and “You’re not good for anything else!” It comes to a breaking point, and Marinette’s new friends decide to get involved. In the group chat overflowing with accusations, insults, and demands, her friends send one text:

“This is Mari’s new friend group. Are you aware that you all do not go to the same school anymore? Are you aware that you are now adults? And are you aware that you can’t expect Marinette to solve all your problems anymore?”

Inspired by the prompt "The Unthinkable" by Walks-the-ages, and the nonsense that is the "ML Bible". -------

Oh no!

Adrien's eyes widen, as the evidences that were literally in his own house show themselves to him, the revelation clear and obvious.

His father is Hawkmoth! His father is the villain that tormented the city, caused uncountable causalities, and is most likely planning to rule the world and make it into a hellish dystopia!

Adrien has to do something with this revelation!

He will!

In one timeline, Adrien, horrified at the reveal, draws the line at having an abusive father who is also a supervillain, and he decides to finish the long battle with Hawkmoth right away.

He can't allow his father to have any more reign, he doesn't want to risk being controlled anymore than he is by his father, even more so when he can literally brainwash Adrien whenever he wants.

Adrien wants to be in control of his own actions, thank you very much. And if he acknowledges the many parallels of his father's attitude to those attitude he has himself, and genuinely understand how his father abuses him, and starts to hate the fact that he's done the same things to his friends and regretted that, then all the better. (basically, kinda like your usual Adrien Sugar prompt)

In another timeline, Adrien also draws the line and kills Gabriel, but there is no relevation of how his actions look all too similar to Gabriel's, no self-reflection.

Adrien just kills his father, and life goes on.

Adrien doesn't touch the Butterfly and the Peacock Miraculouses. He might keep them there to collect dust, or give them to Ladybug.

The supervillain is assumed to have suddenly vanished as far as Paris is concerned.

Adrien stops his harassment of Ladybug, not because he grew a consciousness and morals, but because he knows that with Hawkmoth nowhere to be seen, she will take away his ring whether he wants her to or not, and he's hoping that playing nice might let him keep it a little bit longer.

In a third timeline, Adrien realizes that his father is Hawkmoth... and he uses that knowledge to enjoy himself as much as he can.

He purposely insults Gabriel as Chat Noir, pissing the villain off so that an akuma will always be on the loose, and so he can enjoy tormenting "his lady" as much as he can.

Because he knows how to end the whole war against Hawkmoth, but he doesn't, because he simply doesn't care about anyone but himself. His only interest is how much fun he can get, even if said fun is at the expense of everyone else's mental and physical health.

In a fourth timeline, Adrien kills Hawkmoth... only to take Nooroo's and Duusuu's Miraculous and use them for his own goals.

He akumatizes someone and/or makes an amok, and makes them the new Hawkmoth, completely under his control. He then uses them to enjoy himself, and to torment Marinette even further, by making her fight insanely difficult battles on her own, just so he gets to appear, mentally controlling the akumas and amoks to go easy, and look so much better, and making the city go wild with how "protective and strong" he is, and how "Ladybug should give him a chance", even better, if he started "grieving" as Adrien, because his father suddenly died, and how tragic his life is~! (basically something like the "Untamed Perfection" prompt)

In a fifth timeline, the reveal goes both ways, Adrien finds out about Gabriel's supervillain identity, and Gabriel finds out about Adrien's secret identity... Then Gabriel wins because the writers decided to Make Adrien a freaking Amok that can easily be controlled by a freaking ring or whatever the amokized object is, because definitely NO ONE will see the Paris-sized plot holes of such plot twist.

Oooh I have one with. This got me an idea no thanks to S5 E21 & E22.

How about exposing Lila on live stream where it revealed Lila Rossi/Cerise wearing a wig the entire time but also pretending to be a high school student in Francois Dupont when she also goes to Paul Bert. And to say one of the principal in Paul Bert was watching this on live stream in the Teacher's Lounge where it is on Aurore Beaureal's blog he was shock but furious and decided to expelled Cerise from his school for manipulation and pathological liar. Among the other staffs were annoyed they had a feeling that Cerise was manipulator. While Marinette had graduated early then the rest of the akuma class due to Lila's lies that made them go repeat a year. As for her friends well they graduated with her. Adrien gotten back with Kagami and decided to take it slow for their relationship. As Marinette is with Felix who had manage to get her to stop stuttering they became an unstoppable couple. Adrien and Marinette knows their identity no thanks to Chloe to blurted it out for them. Adrien considered Marinette as a sister figure for him. Cerise/Lila got in a lot of trouble thanks to Sabrina and Chloe getting the footage in CCTV that Damocles decided to tell the students that the CCTV was broken but it isn't really. As for the three mother's of Lila they found out from the live stream they aren't very happy so they explain it to the first mother who works as the Secretary Embassy.

Author’s Notes/Warnings: The week before Thanksgiving is always a little nutty at work, and I did some sprinting to unwind.  From November 2023’s Sprint Challenge Prompts over at @lovebugs-and-snakecharmers, using the social media prompt that said: “The single most important thing a man can do to be an ally is give his woman friends permission to give dudes at the bar his number so when they call he can angrily say that’s not funny because she died 15 years ago that very night.”

Luka looked up from his Cheerios at Marinette’s voice, his spoon still in his mouth.  His eyes widened when he saw the red dress she was wearing, and he almost swallowed the spoon when she sat on the edge of the table and gave him a pouting look.  Between the smoky eye she had painted on and the deep red lipstick that drew his focus to those kissable lips…yep.  He was swallowing his spoon.  And tongue.  And…

“You…you’re going out tonight?” he asked after a moment, when he finally felt like he had regained some sense of composure.  Barely.

“Unfortunately,” she sighed, bending to slip on a strappy pair of heels that just…weren’t fair.  She glanced back at him, a smirk on her lips like she knew exactly what she was doing to him.  “I’d much rather stay home in my comfy jammies, with my favorite emotional support musician and a tub of ice cream.  Binge watching bad movies.”

Adribat AU where Gabriel succeeds in reviving Emilie & erases all memory of the Miraculous events from Parisians. Emilie is the only one who remembers his misdeeds and despite his memory loss, Adrien retains Chat Noir's instincts & defiance, much to Gabriel's displeasure. He forces them to play house with him and violently lashes out whenever they disobey.

One thing Gabriel couldn't erase was the friendship between the Graham de Vanilys and the Pennyworths. Thus, when Gabriel's abuse goes too far, she contacts Alfred & together, they smuggle Adrien to Gotham.

Alfred and Bruce are no longer young & the cowl is ready for Cassandra. Seeing Adrien's potential, Alfred personally trains him to take over his responsibilities so he can watch over the Batkids.

Between an enraged father, evil butterflies & the homo-magi community's unease, Adrien will find working for the Batfamily to be the least bizarre aspect of his life.

Nino salt prompt: What if Rocketear had consequences

Basically, everything that happens in Rocketear happens the exact same way (Nino assuming the worst of Alya, Nino assuming Chat Noir is Ariana Grande, Nino breaking Ladybug's AND Alya's trust at the same time by revealing his/Alya's identity to Adrien, Nino slut shaming Adrien to his face on accident) except the very end of the episode, where Alya tells Nino she is now Rena Furtive.

Instead, Alya tries to reassure Nino that she will always love him no matter what, while lightly asking him "hey, you followed me to my house without permission and took a video of me without my knowledge, wtf?!"

Nino then proceeds to show his ass like usual ("I needed to protect you from that homewreaker!" "I'm your boyfriend so it's perfectly okay for me to stalk you!!").

Alya really dosen't like this side of Nino, so she asks if their relationship can go on break for a bit (and Nino tries to manipulate her more with his "you don't love me!!!" Shtick)

The next day at school, Adrien pulls Alya aside and jokingly asks her "hey, are you Rena Rouge haha lol".

Alya is horrified.

Adrien then gives Alya the full story: Nino wanted to convince Adrien that Chat Nior had seduced Alya and revealed their identities as proof that Alya was only now kerping secrets. Adrien wanted to forget he heard anything, but he decided to ask Alya anyway because he knew what Nino had done wasn't right.

Alya is now infuriated. She can't believe Nino had the gall to be upset about her secrets only for him to go behind her back and violate her privacy this way. Especially since what Nino just did puts his identity at risk!

Alya thanks Adrien for being honest with her. After school, she marches straight to Marinette's house and tells her everything. Alya thought her best friend would be even angrier than she had been.

Marinette is heartbroken when she hears the scoop. How could someone she trusts do that, especially after what happened with Chloe. Marinette decides that Nino news a new secret identity since Carapace has been compromised, but Alya orders her to cut him loose. Nino can't be trusted.

When Ladybug pulls Nino aside and tells him he can't be Carapace anymore because he revealed his identity, the only thing he feels is surpise. The boy really didn't think this was a possibility.

The realization eventually sets in and he gets akumatized. He becomes Shell Shocker and goes after Adrien for "ruining his relationships!" Adrien tries to encourage Nino to give up the akuma, but then Nino reveals he willingly accepted Hawkmoths deal... this is who he really is.

Ladybug, whith some assistance from Rena Furtive, takes him down. Nino tries to play it off, "oh uh, i was akumatized??? Thanks for saving me Ladybug!" But Adrien shuts him down right quick, "He's lying! He willingly accepted the akuma just to get back at his girlfriend!" Adrien calling him out like that takes Nino by surpise, but it's the least of his worries.

Alya secretly recorded the whole fight and posted it onto the Ladyblog. Everybody in Paris now knows who Nino truly is. All of his friendships are destroyed; Marinette and Adrien cut him off for good; and Alya finnaly dumps him. His family decides to leave Paris for his own good.

At the airport, Nino has a chance encounter with Chloe. "Well well well, if it isn't the loser who got exposed for working with Hawkmoth! Even when I did that fashion victim a favor, I made sure that nobody in Paris could see I made a deal with him. You're ridiculous, Lahiffe, utterly ridiculous!"

"Sh-shut up Chloe!" Nino stutters out.

"Waaa, shut up! God, even your insults are basic, bitch. Well, before you go, I have a new scoop for you Nino... News flash! Alya dosen't love you anymore, and it's all your fault!!! It's hilarious, utterly hilarious!"

When Nino finnaly gets to his new bedroom, he cries himself to sleep realizing that he ruined his own life because didn't think there would be consequences...

Have you ever read that one fic where Tikki blesses Lila so that all her lies come true. Similar idea, but with Trixx.

Trixx is pissed that not only has this girl claimed to be one of her kits, but is also dragging her current kit along for a ride. So, Trixx puts a curse on Lila: all of her lies come true in the most horrible way possible.

Lila says she's too broke to buy her own lunch? A hacker drains her personal bank account to nothing.

She can't participate in gym because of a twisted ankle? she immediately falls down in front of everyone and twists it for real.

She lies about some celebrity? The news immediately starts a story about how said celebrity is sending out a cease and desist to "this child who keeps claiming that I'll give her friends jobs. I barely know this kid! She needs to stop."

Meanwhile, both Marinette and Tikki know something is going on, figuring out Trixx is behind the curse, but they can't find Trixx to make him stop.

It comes to a head when Lila tells Mme. Bustier that she'll be absent the second half of the day because "her mom will need her". During lunch, a teacher runs in, telling Lila to get her bags because her mom was in an accident and is clinging to life.

Marinette and Tikki force Trixx to take back the curse, but the damage is done and Lila is forced to go back to Italy with her mom's comatose body for treatment.

Submitted prompt: An Immortal Black Cat

Not sure if this counts as a true salt prompt but here it goes(up to author interpretation to prevent Mary-sueing of the OC)(Can drop stuff as wanted)

A previous Black Cat wielder ends up moving to Paris. Thanks to magical related shenanigans(whether or not it was Miraculous related or not is up to the writer), she is immortal, with the appearance of an young teen around the age of the main cast. She is understandably alarmed when the Bubbler incident occurs, and more so when she starts piecing together that Adrien is Chat Noir.

The problem she sees is that she used to be a lot like Chat Noir when she was first starting as a wielder. She harassed her partner to the point that he snapped on her, and their team bond never recovered. She has regretted it since. Later on, she was a Ladybug as well(not particularly skilled but she was decent enough to get the job done.) During this mess, she had to deal with the exact same treatment from her partner, which made her feel even worse about her behavior with her first partner, especially when she had to kill her partner in self defense when she refused his advances one too many times.

After a few more akuma attacks, she quickly becomes alarmed about Chat when she realizes that he’s way too similar to her past self for her to ever be comfortable with, and her mind is worried as this boy could easily end up like her. It gets even worse when she starts realizing that Marinette is Ladybug, and her behavior is sliding from crushing dangerously deep into stalker territory, reminding her of herself and her past Black cat partner way too much.

Only one issue, she doesn’t want to alert anyone she’s present. Only a few councilors know she exists, and she’d like to keep the Council and Order of Guardians from learning of her existence. (She’s been so determined to avoid the Order less they decide to use her for something, she hasn’t been keeping track of them. As a result, she has NO idea that the Order has been wiped out by Feast. Her belief was that they were merely becoming more isolated as the world got more globalized, global threats that needed the Miraculous were dropping and the Council was growing better equpped to deal with those threats. Even if she did have suspicions, she wasn’t about to go to Tibet to check in case they were waiting.)

Well, she decides that she needs to step in, and hopefully steer these two back onto the right path before it gets out of hand. Only issue is doing so without alerting the Council and (Currently destroyed but doesn’t know it or Wang Fu). She also can’t meet with Marinette less she is transformed about Miraculous Magic. The reason is Tikki is too loyal to the Guardians, and she’d likely inform the Guardian about her. She has no such problems with Plagg, as he could care less about telling Fu.

Not sure where else to go from here…we go into Fix it somehow and possible Adrien Pepper if you really want to fix him, same with Marinette if you’re hoping for some Marinette salt and pepper. I’ll add more in the comments if I can figure out how specifically this OC fixes it.

Clarification: I forgot to mention this in the prompt. Like in Fairy Tail, there’s a magic council responsible for protecting the world from magical threats and dealing with magic incidents. They’re incognito though as a public organization called the Organization of Magical Occurrences and Affairs, supposedly just as a group to help people cope with any losses or injuries caused by supernatural incidents or for people to report supernatural stuff to someone who won’t laugh them out of the room.

They’re like this as they’ve been persecuted a lot by secular and religious authorities during their history. They also worked with the Guardians before they vanished, but couldn’t ever figure out why they vanished.

I absolutely hate Adrien salt so I'm gonna have to ask you to bear with me on this idea/prompt for a second. I swear it's not what it looks like at first.

Okay, so. We start with Salt-Adrien, or Saltdrien. He finds out Marinette is Ladybug and immediately starts stalking her, declaring that they are dating, and generally acting like a) he owns her and b) just generally an ass. He acts like the stereotypical salt version of Adrien, throwing tantrums, demanding attention at the worst moments, and actively interfering with Ladybug's work.

Then, of course, Felix shows up and starts intervening. Whenever Saltdrien tries to act up, Felix is there, getting between him and Marinette. Felix is spending time with Marinette, and convincing her to spend more time with Luka and Kagami.

The twist comes when Saltdrien calls his cousin to yell at him and demand to know what the hell is going on... and Felix doesn't know either, because he hasn't left England in months.

It turns out that Felix's identity has been stolen by a stranger who is identical to both of them, who seems to know a lot more about them--and about Marinette--than he should. Saltdrien is, of course, furious, and tries to corner him...

Only for "Felix" to transform into Chat Noir the moment they're alone and absolutely hand Saltdrien his ass.

Turns out, "Felix" is actually Canon Adrien, having been temporarily Isekaied into the salt setting by an Akuma in his universe. (Though it's going a bit long and he's starting to get nervous.) Adrien--who is very used to dealing with Chloe by this point--immediately figured out Saltdrien's whole deal and decided that, while he's here, he's going to obliterate this asshole who's wearing his face and name. And since Saltdrien is stupid, entitled, and more of a showoff than a fighter when compared to Adrien's intelligent, socially manipulative, and practiced combatant...

Miraculous Ladybug X Monkie Kid crossover salt prompt idea: demons relatives AU

This prompt is a crossover with the show “Lego Monkie Kid” and is based on this question:

“What if Jin and Yin were Marinette’s relatives from their mother’s (the White-Faced Vixen) family?”

Concept:

So a very long time ago, back when Jin and Yin were just babies, their mother, the White-Faced Vixen, was on the run with her sons because of a war raging between the Huli Jin clan and a rival demon clan, resulting in the destruction of her home.

As she was wandering in the mountains injured and with her two babies in her arms, she came across a lone house which seemed to be inhabited.

The White-Faced Vixen then planned to kill the people living here so she and her sons could have a roof above their heads even if temporary.

But when she was about to put her sinister plan in motion, she got spotted by the house’s owner, Cheng Hua, a young widow who lived alone with her children.

To the White-Faced Vixen’s shock, the woman didn’t react in fear nor didn’t try to chase her away but instead was kind. 

She even invited her into her house after noticing her injuries and the two babies with her.

This confused the White-Faced Vixen. 

Why did this mortal treat her kindly and even open her house to her when she’s a demon and could easily hurt her and her loved ones?

When asked, the young woman simply answered that she was an injured mother who was seeking shelter for her children and who needed help, so to Cheng Hua it was normal for her to give this help, demons or not.

The White-Faced Vixen, still confused by the young widow's logic, stayed at her house for a few days and left ,along with her sons, once her injuries were healed to her brother.

Once her “guests” left, Cheng Hua learnt from her children that the White-Faced Vixen left a big bag for them, and to her shock, it was filled with tons of gold, enough to ensure her family and she would never worry about poverty ever again.

And with the gold was a medaillon with a letter thanking Cheng Hua for her hospitality and giving her the bag of gold to thank her for her help and also gift her her clan’s crest medaillon, making her and her family honorary members of the Huli Jin clan.

Thanks to the gold, Cheng Hua and her children lived comfortably, the young widow even converted her house into an inn which became popular among travelers, humans/mortals and demons/supernatural beings alike and as time passed a village developed around the inn.

Even after Chen Hua’s death many years laters, the Cheng family honored the White-Faced Vixen, in addition to honoring the celestial deities, to thank her for the good for the good fortune and protection she brought to their family and this keep going for generations to nowadays with Cheng Xia Bing, also known as Sabine Cheng and her daughter, Marinette Dupain-Cheng.

The mother lived a peaceful and happy life in Paris with her husband, Tom Dupain, and their daughter, until the apparition of the villain Hawkmoth and his akumas, who terrorized Paris for three years.

Getting more worry for her daughter’s safety and mental health day by day, a desperate Sabine decided to contact the White-Faced Vixen for help.

She get an answer in the form of the two sons of the White-Faced Vixen send by the latter to ensure Marinette’s safety.

On Marinette’s side, her life was not getting better, in fact, it was harder:

-Hawkmoth’s constant attacks were getting more violent and her recent new role as the miraculous box’s guardian didn’t lift any of her anxiety.

-Lila’s lies managed to turn her class against her and was making her life at school hell and nearly end up akumatized a bunch of times.

But her life is about to take a weird turn, but also a blessing in disguise, when her parents introduced her to two cousins from China who came to Paris for their studies and who were going to live with them: Jin and Yin.

Cat Noir watched as Ladybug and Flairmidable were talking together. He was perplexed about the new Dog hero, as she just lent the same Miraculous to a girl just a couple of days ago. He didn't think Miss Hound was a memorable addition to the team but he also couldn't remember her double crossing Ladybug in any way to justify getting her replaced from the team so suddenly. Especially by this random dude, who seemed to try his luck with his lady.

He then noticed how flustered Ladybug was getting around this new hero. "So it's him !" Cat Noir murmured under his breath. "I knew she'd recruit the guy she's in love with in her team eventually, I bet she was just waiting for this moment to finally get rid of him completely by having her crush fight alongside him. Too bad that I came prepared for this day!" He finally took out a croissant, which he Cataclysmed with his finger. However the croissant didn't disintegrate or even change composition at all. "Plagg told me that you can use Cataclysm to destroy the composition of an object but not the object itself so you can trick your opponents into thinking the object it's still intact. This method works on food as well and it makes what looks a completely delicious croissant become literally poison."

"Now it's time to get my payback" - murmured Cat Noir again. He went to Ladybug and Flairmidable and of course Ladybug tried to excitedly introduce him to the new hero, but he was having none of it. "I can't wait to wipe that smirk off your face".

He started eating a croissant in front of both of them and Ladybug scolded him about this not being the right time for it, but Cat Noir argued that he was too hungry to wait any longer. Flairmidable's stomach suddenly started growling much to his annoyance and Cat Noir's satisfaction "And it looks like I'm not the only one who is".

"Of course that loser had to start chewing that damn thing just as I'm quite literally starving over here". The moment Felix saw Adrien was due to leave Paris today he skipped all of his meals so he could come over to Paris to swap places with Adrien before he would leave. He had no other choice, this was his once in a lifetime opportunity to rob his uncle of the jewelery that was holding his life and he already got sidetracked by the fake Miraculous, but at least Ladybug unknowingly gave him the opportunity to outsmart his uncle once and for all. He was willing to deal with all of these annoying people and his body's needs in order to achieve his goal. He wasn't gonna let a hungry stomach get in the way of his mission !

"Hey, dude!", Cat Noir suddenly startled him from his thoughts. "It looks like I'm not the only who needs a bite. Lucky for you I've got a second croissant and I'm willing to give it to you."

Flairmidable: Sorry to tell you, but I don't need anything from you. If you can't see, we've got a villain to deal with, we don't have time to lose to eat sweet croissants ! Flairmidable's stomach started growling again after he said that "Crap!".

Cat Noir: Your stomach is clearly disagreeing with you about that, my cat ears don't lie. And look, we need all the energy possible to defeat this villain and Ladybug's gonna take her sweet time to gather everyone around for her final plan, so you have time enough time to devour this sweet croissant before we get into position.

Flairmidable: Ughh, fine, but I'm only doing this to shut you up.

Cat Noir: And your stomach as well I bet. Cat Noir winked.

Flairmidable started quickly eating the croissant. He didn't want to admit it, but it was delicious.

Cat Noir: I can tell you from what bakery you can find more such delicious croissants if you're a fan.

Flairmidable: Let's stop wasting time and concentrate on the villain at hand. "After all, he was after a much bigger prize later on."

Ladybug gathered and gave everyone from the team her multipled Lucky Charm sunnyglasses so they could go in and defeat Strikeback. As Flairmidable was about to take his pair, his stomach suddenly started growling intensely, making him drop his glasses and clutch his abdomen in pain. Everyone started being worried about Flairmidable instantly except for Cat Noir.

Ladybug: Are you alright Flairmidable ? What happened to you ?

Cat Noir: I think he's still hungry for some more of my delicious croissants. Said Cat Noir smirking.

Flairmidable's face turned green after hearing Cat Noir say that.

Flairmidable: Croissants ... (another intense stomach growling) let me go, LET ME GO !

He suddenly run over to the edge of the rooftop so he could start puking on the streets. And his puking was uncontrollable.

Ladybug: Oh My God Adrien ! Please detransform urgently, I think your Miraculous may have gotten broken and it's affecting your body !

Cat Noir murmured "Adrien ?!? I mean me ? How could that be possible ? Unless ... Oh no !"

Flairmidable detransformed and Cat Noir saw Felix in his earlier disguise of him. He stopped puking, but his face was still green and his stomach was still growling horribly while he was clutching it.

Felix: Help ... me ...

Cat Noir: Felix ?!? How are you here ?!? Why ?!

Ladybug: Wait, Felix ?!? Ladybug suddenly looked at the ill looking "Adrien".

Felix: You ... How could you ... ugh ... you couldn't ... couldn't have known it was me unless you ... you're Adrien !

Everyone suddenly gasped and Ladybug looked at Cat Noir with horror.

Ladybug: Cat Noir, is it true what he's saying ? You're really -

Cat Noir: Look M'Lady, I can explain !

Felix: You did it purposefully, suddenly shouted a green paled Felix. That croissant, you did this to me ! I will destroy you !

Felix got up and tried to charge up towards Cat Noir, but he was stopped in his tracks by more horrible growls coming from his infected stomach.

Felix: Oh no, not that again - suddenly he was back throwing up and this time he was doing it on the rooftop in front of everyone.

Ladybug: Someone needs to take him to receive medical help RIGHT NOW ! Carapace, take him to the nearest hospital that isn't in the radius of the sentimonsters.

Carapace took the almost unconcious Felix and started jumping towards the nearest undestroyed hospital "Please don't throw up on me dude".

Cat Noir: M'Lady look - but Ladybug stopped him in his tracks while she was examining by the Dog Miraculous.

Ladybug: You know Cat Noir, or should I say Adrien, Master Fu warned me that a Miraculous holder can only get sick while trasnformed if their Miraculous is damaged or their body got altered by another Miraculous' power. And the Dog Miraculous looks to be completely intact. So was what Flairmidable said true, did you really do something to him ?

Cat Noir: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to -

Ladybug: What did you ?!?

Cat Noir: I cataclysmed the composition of a croissant and then gave it him.

Ladybug: Why the hell you did that ? You could've killed him !

Cat Noir: I didn't want to kill him, just to make him a bit sick and make him unable to complete this mission, I didn't thought he'd get sick that badly !

Ladybug: But why ? Why would you poison your own cousin ?

Cat Noir: I didn't know he was MY cousin, I would've have done it if I knew. And truth be told, I didn't want to lose you !

Ladybug: What ?

Cat Noir: I thought this was the guy you were in love with with the way you were acting around him and I honestly couldn't stand the thought of you two working together, you replacing me with him, I needed to do something, I couldn't lose you, you know I'm still in love with you.

Ladybug looked at him in horror for a couple of moments afterwards, but finally resigned.

Ladybug: I should've done this earlier. She subtly gave a signal to someone behind her back.

Cat Noir: Do wh- Suddenly Cat Noir was paralyzed from behind his back by Vesperia. Ladybug took the Miraculous from him unceremounisly and he detransformed back to Adrien.

Ladybug: I'm sorry Adrien, but you've just proven yourself unworthy of the Miraculous.

What would you think if Chloe and Audrey heard rumours about the way they were going to be portrayed in Astruc’s new movie, so they went back to Paris in an unsuccessful attempt to stop the movie from being completed? Then an evilized villain (maybe a wishmaker-like villain or maybe even a villain that's unrelated to the butterfly miraculous) caused Chloe and Zoe to switch bodies somehow, and nobody fully understands what's going on, so Zoe (in Chloe's body) is taken by Audrey back to New York, despite Zoe desperately trying to explain things. But Chloe enters a fugue state (heavily due to trauma caused by the neglect of her parents) and genuinely thinks she's Zoe, and is even able to recall many of the things Zoe did due to being in Zoe's body. The class thinks “Zoe's” change in behavior is due to the psychological effects of method acting, since “Zoe” is playing Chloe in Astruc's new movie, but they gradually convince “Zoe” to let them help her relearn how to be “herself” again.

Zoe is not able to gain access to Chloe's memories while in Chloe's body, because unlike Chloe, Zoe knows she's in the wrong body. In New York, Zoe is trying to get back to Paris, but when she gets there, “Zoe” thinks she’s there to try to hurt Marinette. Eventually, after listening to “Chloe”, Marinette starts to suspect that “Chloe” might be telling the truth, so she decides that she must test “Chloe” and “Zoe”. She fakes being in danger to see how they react. “Zoe” reacts slightly faster than “Chloe”, so Marinette comes to the conclusion that “Chloe” is lying and that “Chloe” has an evil and manipulative plan. Marinette thinks that “Chloe” must have picked up a few tricks from Lila, because she thinks no version of Chloe could possibly react faster than Zoe when it comes to protecting her. So Audrey takes “Zoe” back to New York again to “correct” her after “Zoe” fails to convince anyone of the truth.

10 years later, “Zoe” gets seriously injured after fighting a villain when Ladybug isn’t around, which causes “Zoe” to not have long to live. Then Ladybug accidentally stumbles upon the truth about “Zoe” while trying to help “Zoe” using magical powers. Ladybug decides that the moral thing to do is to switch Chloe and Zoe back to their original bodies. Once Zoe gets her body back, she blames Chloe for her impending death and for leaving her with 10 years of loneliness, while Chloe got off scot-free. When Lila gets defeated, Zoe steals the Butterfly Miraculous to get her hands on Ladybug and Catnoir’s miraculouses, hoping to “make things right”. Zoe gets defeated by the heroes (including Chloe, who has gotten her memories back) and Ladybug manages to cure Zoe’s injuries.

It sounds like an interesting story in concept. Personally not my cup of tea cause I'm not a big of Chloe and Chloe redemption as most of the fandom is, but I think Chloe fans would like it.

Though, there is the question of why Ladybug didn't cast the cure after defeating the bodyswap villain, hence fixing Chloe/Zoe's switch, since it's a villain in Paris. This question could also apply to the villain that injures "Zoe" in the future, but that's a more vague point so I can let it slide. This was a problem I had with the actual show too, since Ladybug just neglecting to cast the cure during Representation felt out of character and like a plot contrivance.

I also think Marinette would be a little more willing to listen to Zoe's story. We've seen time and time again that she reaches out to people who've wronged her in the past, even if they haven't acted in a way that shows they deserve it yet. We also know that Chloe is a somewhat bad actor so Marinette could probably pick up on Zoe's genuineness too.

Also, why would Audrey take Zoe's body back to New York with her? Isn't Chloe's body the one "acting up"? Zoe's body wasn't the one trying to "convince anyone of the truth".

Also also Chloe would be in a boarding school in London and not in New York if this takes place anytime 3-4 years after canon (or however long high school lasts in London).

There's also the philosophical question of if "Chloe in Zoe's body" is even Chloe anymore. Perosnal opinion, but the redemption feels less earned if she has no memory of her past wrong-doings. Even if she regained them in the end, she spent 10 years thinking she was already a good person, meaning she never actually has to learn how to make up for her past mistakes. Chloe never works towards redeeming herself (Just like canon, cough cough).

Anyways those were my thoughts on this prompt. I didn't know if you wanted constructive criticism or just blind praise but here we are lol
