The fact Gabriel a child abuser, that took part in a murder(Shanghai special), almost murdered an entire family small children included(Senti bubbler), threatened to start World War 3 (new york) and has been terrorizing Paris for over a year not only gets hailed as a hero but gets his crimes buried by Ladybug meanwhile Chloe a child that has done far less than him not only gets treated like the devil incarnated but is sent off to live with her abuser as a 'just' punishment is quite frankly disturbing

Some ML fans are hoping that Season 6 will make everything from the season 5 finale clearer, that the finale is supposed to set up the next season. Respectfully, I disagree. Setting up the next season should be a secondary purpose of the finale. The primary purpose should be resolving at least some of the previously-built-up plotlines. Especially when the finale is supposed to resolve a multi-season arc, particularly in defeating the overarching villain and dealing with all of the plot points that were directly tied to them, particularly when one of the main protagonists (the villain's son) is left out of the whole thing and never told the truth about both his father (who he's finally started to stand against) and the villain he's been fighting for five seasons. Doing a poor job of wrapping up those plot points should not mean that the next season is left to deal with what should have already been tidied up. Sequel baiting should not override finishing the story that was already being told. There is a reason why Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 were criticized for putting too much focus on setting up sequels.
Compare this season finale to Kingdom Hearts III, another "end of an era" installment and the resolution to the Xehanort Saga. That game put a lot of focus on setting up the next saga, but it never forgot what its purpose was. Everyone who was lost and left to a bad fate in previous installments was rescued and made whole. Each villain was given a proper sendoff, even the ones who we would expect to see again. Everyone got to face their particular nemeses again and in some cases vanquish them personally. (Roxas, Axel and Xion fought Xemnas and made peace with Saïx; Aqua and Ventus faced Terranort and Vanitas again, and Terra reclaimed his body and eliminated that incarnation of Xehanort for good; Riku AND Riku Replica overcame the physical manifestation of their dark past selves and mistakes; Sora and Riku (as well as Mickey) defeated Ansem and Xemnas once and for all, and they also defeated Young Xehanort even though the earliest version of the villain was unconcerned; and Sora, Donald and Goofy fought and defeated Master Xehanort. Re:Mind even gave Kairi the chance to fight by Sora's side and defeat another incarnation/Replica of Xehanort.) Now let's talk about the final battle. Sora, Donald and Goofy, with all of their friends helping keep Kingdom Hearts stable, fought and defeated Master Xehanort. Despite being barely able to stand, Xehanort did not want to give up, before Sora and the heart ghost of Master Eraqus convinced him to let go. What did Xehanort do then? He entrusted the light to Sora and gave him the χ-blade, then faded away to enter the afterlife with his old friend. Then Sora fixed everything, and went off to recover Kairi while sacrificing himself.
Would you look at that? Kingdom Hearts III resolved all of its major plot points while still setting up future conflicts. No one kept secrets from their friends, everyone had their moments of catharsis, the villain was not vindicated even if the game turned around to try to make his goals sympathetic at the last minute, and the heroes. Actually. Won.
Oh, and while there are still mysteries and things left to interpretation, the game still made a point to clarify what was going on in front of us.
A later episode in a season can make earlier episodes make sense, but it shouldn't be left to the next season to explain things that the season finale refuses to resolve. If the next season is necessary to make this season good, this season was not and never will be good.

I really love the fact that there are only a few green spots in Bug Noire’s design and not throughout the entirety of the black sections.
Tumblr media
That was my main gripe when it came to PennyBug’s design (other than the puffy sleeves).
Tumblr media
It’s just a lot more balanced

A Realization
I was watching this GIF tonight and I just realized. Gimmi… “Gimme!” Like…someone demanding a wish be made! Even its name shows that this kwami is only summoned when the Holder wants something changed. 😮
I guess I’m probably late to figuring that out. Oops. 😆

I don’t know why my friends were so shocked when they watched the season finale of Miraculous Ladybug and realized it was so bad. Like, I’ve been mentally preparing myself for how ass it was going to be (note: i was kinda caught off guard by how much the stupidity was kicked into overdrive). Everyone and their mother knew that the season 4 finale was going to be just as underwhelming, terribly executed, and downright stupid like it’s predecessors.

Since the first episode of s5 is called Evolution, I think most of us are assuming that they retrieve the bunny miraculous, riiight?
If that’s the case then why wouldn’t they just go back in time to before Flairmidible stole them?
WELL
I think Bunnix shows up and tells them that they can’t or something (because then we wouldn’t have a 5th season)
Thank you for coming to my presentation.

I know the fact that Chat Noir not being in the basement to fight Monarch sucks...but it also makes sense.
There’s NO WAY he would’ve been able to go in the basement and not find out that Gabriel is Monarch or that his mom is there. By extension, there’s NO WAY Gabriel would’ve not found out that Chat Noir is Adrien once they got to the basement. Hell, even before getting to the basement, they’d be at a disadvantage. It’d be exactly like it was in Chat Blanc.
Let’s imagine how things would go if Chat Noir was there at the mansion with Ladybug.
First, they’d see Monarch de-transform when bringing Nathalie  back to her room, thus finding out he’s Gabriel. Of course, this would be a lot for Chat Noir to take in and would be angry and devastated. This would leave him with very unstable emotions. He was already having a hard time due to the nightmares so he really would be worse with this added on (like he worried about anyway).
First strike.
Then they’d obviously still talk to Nathalie, even though Ladybug originally went to talk to her about Adrien. Even with the change of Chat Noir being present, I think they’d still want to talk to her (at least Ladybug due to Felix and Kagami’s play pointing at Gabriel to begin with). With this, Chat Noir/Adrien would see just how badly Nathalie has become and (like originally) they’d find out why she’s so sick (from using the broken peacock),
[This is where it gets messy.]
Then they’d have to deal with the Miraculized enemies, which would lead to the kitchen to de-transform (most likely in separate cupboards to avoid their reveal). But, then Monarch would find them; Marinette first (there goes her identity). Adrien would then step in (there goes his identity). The mob of enemies would then be able to find them again; originally, since Marinette became BugNoire, they couldn’t detect her again and thus get in the way of the big fight.
Monarch could tell them to stay out of his way; he could’ve before once he realized they were in his house.
They have their fight in which they reveal they known it’s Gabriel and ultimately end up in the basement. Just like originally, Emilie is revealed while down there. Now during their fight, I’m sure Chat Noir was either one of two things: unwilling to actually fight his father or so upset that he’s out of control while doing so. Regardless of which it is, after Emilie is revealed, Chat Noir would be too devastated: second strike.
Since Monarch knows this is Adrien, he’d take advantage of the situation like in the bad timelines. His identity is known by his enemies, he’s cornered, he already has nothing else to lose: he’d do whatever he could to win at that point. There would also be no way of  leading Gabriel to having a change of heart concerning his wish.
After seeing the finale, it made me realize that the point of showing us the bad timelines (specifically Chat Blanc) was not just to show why they can’t know their identities; it’s also to show why Adrien couldn’t find out Gabriel’s or go in that basement. I doubt he won’t find out the truth but he shouldn’t during a fight. You can think of the ending as Ladybug having won (or lost) the battle but not the war...Chat Noir couldn’t help end this battle but he’ll be there to help end the war.
At least he was able to (knowingly) kick Gabriel’s butt in Representation.
