This fandom in general is not only jikookphobic, it is also Jiminphobic and Jungkookphobic too.

Oh honey you have to realize one more important point, pretty sure Fandom, atleast many in fandom, is NOT jungkookphobic. But Jiminphobic. Many either blatantly or secretly HATE jimin. They cannot bear anything good happening to him. If it was jungkookphobic then we won't see people having no problem in announcing Tkk couple or praise namkook as much as they want - the great crush story.

Don't know whether u will read or post this because its long but it's all fact and surely not any hate against any members

Just look at patterns :

1. Jimin in 2018 sets a record for highest viewed fancam ever, trended fancam for days, purely based on his talent and dancing. 1st fancam to start this fancam streaming culture. Next year onwards bitter stans began mass streaming their favs fancam, buy ads etc to increase views. We have a literal example of an ex Jimin anti saying she viewed Jimin as an enemy because he stands out too much in group and his bond with JK. He's the member who brings most fans to Fandom/ go viral among locals but nope it's X and Y member who's popular.

2. Jimin is knows for his dancing skills even outside the Fandom, rest Fandoms praise him for dancing. But ARMYs can't stand that. For one Jhope is a terrific performer. But when someone is talking about Jimin's dancing they immediately bring Jhope to pull down Jimin, saying Jimin told hobi is best dancer. Like susan what do you expect Jimin to say ??? 'Yes I'm the best dancer of the group' ??? So you can call him rude ?? Go through their recent performance videos you will rarely see a comment praising Jimin's dancing and if anyone say something next moment they are corrected by - but hobi... the recent MMA plaque dancer award for Jimin is latest example on how this Fandom hate when Jimin is recognized for his dancing is.

3. Jimin without any vocal training from company debuted as the Lead vocalist of BTS and share 2nd most lines after JK until recently. Again take a performance video or lyrical video you will see people PRAISING rest 3 vocalists. Everyone happy until someone praise about Jimin's vocals. Suddenly it's too high pitched to them, too much autotune, too many lines for him, they prefer Tae's vocals, Jin should have that lines etc. Now tae won a vocal award in MMA Everyone happy, no questions but imagine Jimin winning it ???

4. Jimin being so fucking close with Jungkook and possibly having romantic relationship with him. One of the major source for Jimin hate - 'The great Jikook' lol. No way Jimin, out of all members, can have jungkook, no way their bond is pure, it's all fanservice, why would JK select Jimin when Tae exist, if JK is in relationship with any band member its Tae. No one calls out anyone who's praising namkook's crush but good God mention GCFT is for Jimin you 'disrespected' JK's work. Everyone and their mommas happy when it's Tae paired with JK but can't stand Jimin existing in same place with JK.

5. All members interact with fans, all of them do this lil flirty FS thing, all of them smile at them and talk sweetly. But rest members doing it is so sweet and nice while Jimin, Godforbid, smile politely at someone he's a FLIRT. He maybe just existing simply still he's portrayed as a flirt, pervert and womanizer in edits and comments and it became normalized to the point uts acceptable to call Jimin any names. No way he's polite and welcoming to someone right, everything he do is with a ill intention that is to flirt with them like the fuckboy he is. The only point everyone in fandom come together is to call him flirt or to say he's making men gay because of 'Jimin effect'

6. Jimin not being so masculine according to societies standards. And i have SEEN many hate him for that. Hate him for being queer, embracing his femininity saying how he's not manly enough for them to like him. I've even seen many saying stylists are purposefully putting him in those outfits and makeup for queer coding, it's his persona given by bh, hes making other boys gay or making them uncomfortable by his gay behavior and that's friend what is homophobia. Rest fandoms openly being homophobic and transphobic to him and treating him like a slut of the group. I/we have SEEN it.

7. Jimin being always portrayed as the weaker one in group. For this they exaggerate other members physical and mental strength as if it's a competition. One, Many conveniently forgets he's blackbelt in taekwondo, have years of practice in kendo and other marital arts. You can see them eliminating him from kpop idols with a blackbelt but insert JK who doesn't have a black belt, Because it's JK who's more bulked up and masculine than Jimin isn't it. Two, he's still the ome insecure in his body and visuals who needs validation from others. He used to have some insecurity I agree but so did rest members and they have spoken multiple times about it. But only Jimin is considered insecure, who still starve everyday to look good while all he's doing is working out and maintaining a diet like most celebs in entertainment field and like rest of boys. He is mentally strong af to withstand all the hate he's getting. Jimin is past that insecure stage but Fandom is not.

8. Criminal underestimatation of him as an artist. I've literally seen discussions on reddit on what Jimin will do when BTS starts a solo career. He is so versatile and can carry himself well but nope that's what make us jealous so we will question his survival in industry. He's not doing several other variety projects like rest boys at present, because HE CHOSE NOT TO but nope it's because Jimin is useless apart from group and can't survive in this industry on his own. Jimin tops brand reputation every fucking months- and it's rigged. Jimin's insta followers - bought, jimin broke record of most iTunes #1 - irrelevant. Like every achievement of him as an artist is underestimated.

So yep, MANY MANY in this Fandom hate Jimin or is just including him for this ot7 love all members kumbaya but when in reality hate him and thinks he's unworthy of praising for his talents, Jungkook, his stans and other good things.

It really really hurt when that producer wrote 2 days before - how much he (JM) loves bts army because in return he's getting jealousy of many bitches here. But hey atleast he has many people who genuinely loves him right 😪🤞 who doesn't care if he feed the shippers or not, is gay/straight, is beautiful or not, is giving them content every two days or not.

It's probably my imagination but the 'oh honey' at the beginning of your ask sounded condescending.

While I agree with several of the things you mention in this ask, I disagree with you when you say that this fandom isn't jungkookphobic as well. Because it is. Maybe it's different from how they react about Jimin but this fandom in general, on an individual level doesn't like Jungkook very much because they are envious of him, because they think he doesn't deserve everything he has, what he gets and the praise he gets.

I was not referring to Jungkook with another member, I am talking about Jungkook only. The individual. The Solo artist.

Hi, I stumbled across your page as I was going through various blogs on Jikook. This may turn into a really long post/ask. Im sorry. I am so new to this fandom lol. I have very little context on a number of things other than what I’ve been reading (which I admit isn’t much) and I’ve never been a shipper so my slate is clean!! I got introduced to BTS through Instagram, around the time of the Busan concert. Run BTS was the first song I listened to and the performance drew me to Jungkook. I don’t have a bias though. Browsing Jungkook videos on Instagram and YouTube led me to the deep dark world of shipping and I discovered Taekook and Jikook both around the same time. Now, while I found Taekook to be quite interesting, what made me sit up and notice was a video (not sure the time but probably baby Jikook) which analysed how Jungkook hated Jimin and then fell for him. And I must admit, I was touched by it. But as I watched more videos, I started seeing Jungkook for was he was in the early days. A really shy introverted boy who was good at everything. And his relationship with his other members was that of extreme affection and respect. But as I kept watching…I saw that with Jimin, there was something else. He was very soft with Jimin. The MMA 2018, Run BTS episode with the frying pan aimed at Suga, the vlive for Jimins birthday and the soft tone he uses to speak to him, at some awards (JK is wearing a red suit and JM a blue suit) and how JK is almost shy(?) of JMs proximity. And then I saw how JM is towards JK - particularly the emergency moments (when JK was injured). It got me thinking if there was more to them.

I come from a country where LGBTQ hasnt gained momentum and so my views on this aren’t as developed. But it’s very obvious to me that there’s something there. Or was there. I’ve not seen any new interactions. So it could be that whatever was there either died or they grew out of it. Or they are together, like a couple of many years and now comfortable enough to grow with each other while pursuing their own interests (as couples would). I have noticed a lot more interaction between JK and V though. And I personally don’t see this as romantic or more than a close friendship. I haven’t seen anything that tells me otherwise.

Anyway, my question (finally) is whether there are particular moments, where you have seen a shift towards more of a friendship for Jikook than something more romantic or potentially romantic. Or do you think that they are still ‘slightly more’ than friends?

Welcome to the fandom! I would urge you to commit to your own conclusions instead of relying on forced narratives (if you can help it). That is to say, try and watch their moments that aren't edited in favor of Jikook. I forgot the channel, but there’s one that posted Jikook moments exactly as they are in as close to a consecutive order as possible. There’s no manipulative editing, no odd splicing, no text or music overlay–just raw content.

I’ll be blunt: the Jikook analysis* video you witnessed, where Jungkook's feelings towards Jimin supposedly changes, is a forced narrative. There are a couple of things to note when observing the volatility between Jikook when they were younger: their age and their personalities. Jungkook was extremely shy when he was a small bean, and painfully so, which immediately affected the way he interacted with his environment and the people in it. Jimin, at the time, had more of a rambunctious personality. To someone like Jungkook, especially at his age at the time, someone like Jimin can be a little too intense.

* All analyses videos are forced narratives because they’re all highly suggestive. They’re good to watch for entertainment, but don’t let your brain fall out in the process.

But that’s teenagers for you.

We can all wax poetic behind their motivations because there is a lot more to it than just superficial details, but your early to midteens are really tumultuous. I think their misunderstanding of one another in their youth could've easily been resolved with communication, but that's hardly a resolution skill they would've developed at that age.

The reason why that particular narrative works and why it's considered a "good" jumping off point for baby Jkkrs is because that specific change in chemistry is revered in pop culture. Jungkook and Jimin could be completely different people, and the narrative will still hold and be felt by anyone who gravitates towards that trope. I think that’s part of the appeal of Jikook on the onset, but if anyone took the time to witness the way their dynamic evolves without any sort of agenda, there’s a very clear shift between them that happens when they enter their late teens. Now, how you decide to interpret that shift is completely subjective (and where shippers will deviate from non-shippers).

Currently, some shippers/supporters do believe that they’ve reached this point of domesticity in their “established relationship” where it’s comfortable and natural for them, etc. It’s not my personal belief, however.

I’m on the same boat as you with Taekook. I think it’s delightful that they’re hanging out, but I fail to see that intimate chemistry between them that their shippers see. I chalk this up to a matter of perspective, and I would much prefer to stay out of that conversation.

Anyway, my question (finally) is whether there are particular moments, where you have seen a shift towards more of a friendship for Jikook than something more romantic or potentially romantic. Or do you think that they are still ‘slightly more’ than friends?

Nothing in particular, no. Generally speaking, I find most of their interactions to be on par with the kind of closeness they would’ve naturally developed over the years. It’s only when they act in ways that don’t quite measure up to the context of their known relationship that makes me wonder about their motivations and/or real feelings. 

I want to clarify that I don’t view Jikook in terms of being friends or “slightly more than friends” because this particular phrasing can sometimes suggest there’s some validity to a kind of relationship between them, and I’m not that kind of blog. Instead, I’ll occasionally comment on the potential existence of mutual attraction because I feel that this encapsulates a more generalized experience in humans as a whole and comfortably straddles that more neutral POV I strive for when shipping, but it also doesn’t dismiss any merit behind Jikook either.

On principle, I tread carefully when it comes to shipping, so there are things about their personhood that I’m not going to... violate (for lack of a better word)... just to make my narrative of them seem more real or to assuage myself that they’re fine, when the reality is that I don’t know anything about them, their lives, or their relationships with each other and other people.

How I started to be a Jikook supporter

Hello, I am Julia and I want to share my story about how I started to be a Jikook supporter. 🙂 I always knew BTS exist, but I have never watched them. In 2022 I saw some BTS edits on Instagram and V quite cought my attention, so I started to watch a lot of videos and I quickly became obsessed of them. I immediately learnt they are all multitalented, amazing singers and dancers, humble, down to earth, funny and one of the best looking people in the world.

When I watched their friendship videos, since the beginning I liked Jungkook and Jimin’s bond the most. At that time I thought they are closest best friends. I knew about shipping and I found it disrespectful, because they are real people. But I saw a lot of videos and comments about how V and Jungkook are a couple or the most realistic ship ever. (When someone got to BTS it’s one of the first things he will see, because it’s the most popular ship and it’s the result of their long-term manipulation). I wanted to know why they think they are dating, so I watched their videos, but they were too exaggerated and falsely narrated in comparison to the original content. I knew they are best friends and I absolutely love their bond.

Meanwhile I watched a lot of Jikook videos, because I loved those two together and I got to see GCF Tokyo. And GCF Saipan. I found it beautiful, but I started to think about the songs choice and scenes placement specifically to the lyrics and I couldn’t get it out of my mind. Jungkook is a perfectionist, he does everything to the detail and doesn’t let anything to be just a coincidence. I questioned myself why did he choose that song? Could this possibly mean they are more than friends? Then I saw The ultimate Jikook video on YouTube and it was the ultimate eye-opener for me. I started watching Jikook videos (always with original content), reading Jikook comments and blogs and I learnt about everything that happened. It took me two weeks to be 100% convinced they are more than friends and every other video just convinced me more.

I think the biggest proofs are those things, they 100% wouldn’t do and say if they were just friends. GCF Tokyo with rainbow ferris wheel at Love is a road that goes both ways is my No1 favourite, I am getting so emotional everytime I see it, it’s beautiful, it’s a masterpiece and it’s a confirmation by Jungkook himself. Than Rose Bowl. Hickey, which didn’t need to be shown, they wanted it to be shown. MMA 2018. Changing the last line in The Truth Untold from And I still want you to But I still want you and singing it together (even it’s just Jimin’s line) 3 times. Osaka vlive where it’s so obvious someone was there and that it was Jimin.

And when you think how they are always together, how they look at each other, how they support each other, how they flirt with each other, how they behave and speak like a typical korean couple, how many suspicious things have happened, how other members often react to them, their vlives, tweets, body language, Serendipity song…

I came to the conclusion people either didn’t see everything that happened between them, or they ignored it, or they denied it. Some OT7 army often say don’t ship them, they are like brothers, but you can support all 7 members and Jikook as a couple at the same time. Some of them say don’t ship them only because they are homophobes. And other shippers=tkkrs ignored, denied and twisted every Jikook interaction, because it doesn’t fit their imaginary ship.

Jikook is not a ship, they are real couple. Of course I shouldn’t claim that until Jungkook and Jimin confirm it (which may never happen even if they are a couple, we can just hope one day they will feel safe to share their story), but if you aren’t blinding yourself, you can see it too. Moreover they have the most beautiful love story I have ever seen. They are truly once in a life time lovestory. Sometimes I can’t believe love like this exists. I just wish they will stay happy no matter what happens in the future and that their bond will stay unbreakable. And my dream is to have their song with music video and dance (or even better contemporary dance) because they are the most powerful and iconic duo in the world. ☀️🌙

Last thing I want to mention is what I’ve learnt about tkkrs after I came to Twitter and saw the dark side of it. They are so obsessed with something they want to be real (but it’s not), that they are manipulating and lying as much as they can. For example: GCF Tokyo was supposed to be a Vminkook trip. Who said that? Tkkr. Also ignoring what they said, for example when V said get out of your imagination, it’s not good in there or Jimin I like you the most…which is very disrespectful. And many of them are so jealous of Jikook and jikookers that they hate them together and downplay every single thing to fanservis and bighit script. They also hate Jimin and even Jungkook too, when he doesn’t fit their narratives. How sick and disgusting is to hate another member because of a ship? We should be more respectful to make the world a better place to live. ✨

It is frustrating being told as if they know everything just because they’ve been a part of this fandom longer and that in general is annoying because no one is better than anyone, i found bts in 2016 and since the beginning i noticed something was different there, I’ve said this before but i thought they were together before i even knew their names lol.

If they see their dynamics as bros being bros then that’s on them sometimes people refuse to see the relationship being more than just bros being bros because well it’s the whole straight agenda thing, but you’re right we don’t know we only pick up on the “coincidences” and read them the way we do, but idk I’ve always said that there’s way too many for them to be just coincidences

Hi, that is in reference to 181201 MMA 2018 Jikook. Lol here is a pretty good compilation with no analysis of their moments from sitting in the crowd that day. It's very special 🥰🥰

"Hyung's Namchin" and "Nampyeon" ("hyungs boyfriend" and "husband") come from this specific moment of MMA 2018. Where Jimin says something to JK, pointing at first himself, then at JK. JK answers, and Jimin looks down all shy. We cannot ever hear what he says. Those words come from some k-jkkrs lip reading whatever JK says.

This cannot be stated as fact that he said it. It can be taken with a grain of salt. He clearly said SOMETHING to make Jimin blush. Lol but we don't know what it is. For all we know he could have just said something silly. Or some kind of inside joke. We do not actually know what he said here. They were very cleary in their own little bubble for a majority of that award show though too. Lol very much so focused on each other for a lot of that night. The attentiveness to each other displayed, so sweet.

What makes jikook different?

The extent of mental gymnastics antis do to dismiss jikook's bond amazes me every single day.

"Jk breathed too close to Xyz member that means jikook's not real; jk posted a sad song so that naturally means jikook have broken up; jk and jm did not interact at all on social media, isn't it a given that they were never a couple to begin with?; Pfft I give hickies to all my siblings and relatives; all their actions are just a part of some elaborate fanservice contract; eww jk is NOT gay, look how shy he gets with women; didn't you see how jk pushed jm once 7-8 years ago? He hATeS him for sure"

This list could go on for ages and the utter vile hate directed towards them would still not be fully encompassed. It's heartbreaking to see those two being so despised simply for being who they are.

Shipping culture isn't something that started yesterday. It has been around for ages. Thousands of twisted analyses, theories, and ship wars about how real a certain ship is, are not uncommon to come across. Here's the thing though, jikook don't need it. They need no convoluted analyses, no false narratives, and no repetitive conspiracy theories about how their Company is the bad guy that's forcing them to do what they do.

They're affluent, successful, powerful, intelligent, mature young men who are no damsels in distress or pushovers.

You can disregard their loving stares and heart eyes, loud and proud moments like RoseBowl, GCF Tokyo, MMA 2018, or every single thing that we get from official content under the guise of Fanservice or a cover-up for something else entirely but you don't know that Jikook is so much more than that.

1. They talk to each other in the softest, most intimate voice possible. Even listening to that feels like intruding sometimes.

Name one more duo in bts who talks in shy, hushed whispers like these.

2. Jk confided in Jm about his thoughts of pursuing dancing rather than debuting with BTS and the latter immediately put an end to his impromptu decision and convinced him to stay. You don't discuss something so important with a person you don't trust with your whole heart.

3. Them being each other's emergency contact and taking charge whenever necessary. Please don't tell me bighit forces them to do fanservice even in vulnerable moments like these.

Or the way he worriedly rushed to Jk when he heard about his foot injury, taking charge of the situation, assessing his wound, and telling the staff where he should be taken.

4. Jk doing the goofiest things possible just to make jimin laugh. Why would you ever go this extra mile for someone you don't even like?

5. The emotional comfort they provide to each other whenever one of them is sad, speaks volumes. It's almost as if they especially gravitate towards each other to gain emotional reassurance.

6. The way they know everything about each other?? Like why would you know that if you're not glued to the other person 24/7 and observe them keenly? Why would you even bother learning about it in the first place if that person doens't mean something to you?

The point which I'm trying to make still stands though. Jimin and Jungkook love, trust, know and understand each other infinitely.

I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I always kinda wondered if jikook had at least a little something to do with the talks of disbandment in 2018. My thinking was pretty simple: the members strive for authenticity, and I can imagine it being difficult for all 7 of them having to hide a romantic relationship between 2 members.

2020 went a long way to convincing me that the way JK and JM are presented/represented together was an issue during talks of whether or not to resign with bighit. simply because, given everything that has happened (the pandemic, tour cancellation, less unscripted content) 2020 marked an ENORMOUS shift in the way Jikook are presented.

I mean, plenty of lists have been made of all the 👀👀👀 moments of 2020, but I think people don't always appreciate the difference from years past. For the most part, pre2020 jikook moments were relegated to vlives, fancams, and background/behind the scenes content, mostly errant comments and touches that seemed a too intimate and familiar. GCFTokyo, GCFSaipan, and things like the black and white couple performance from Festa 2018 seemed loud at the time, but at the end of the day it was content made for fans and people easily dismissed it.

Jikook post 2020 is not so easily dismissed. More and more BigHit seems to be presenting them as a couple. Showing them laying down to sleep together in an SNL performance of Home then suggesting they woke up together in couple pajamas in an MV for a title track. Rosebowl went from a fancam everybody loved to deny and debunk to the centerpiece of the trailer for memories 2019 in 2020. Christmas Dynamite, MMA Black Swan, even those adorable Baskin Robbins and Tokopedia ads. Then there's I was with Jungkook 👀

And this hickey?? This hickey that did not have to be shown or commented on, that could've easily been ignored, was proudly displayed and EXPLAINED.

One last thing: Jin added more context to their disbandment discussions in that shady BB article, and I found it interesting that the members were talking about parting ways with BigHit, not each other. Which makes me think that they wanted BigHit to change.

I just don't think it's crazy to think that the difference in jikook's presentation could be one of the changes that the members wanted.

Pepper anon, I think there is a difference between them thinking of disbandment and the renewal of the contracts with BH. Yes, they coincided and there might be a little of an overlap, but I don't think that they are one and the same.

One of them is them thinking "do we go on?", while the other is "under what terms are we willing to go on?".

The "where to from now as a band?" can be an overlap for both.

But do you see the difference here anon?

I did talk about the 2018 thoughts of disbandment in my post here:

They started 2018 totally worn out. Feelling maybe they have reached their peak and finding it hard to continue. I think this was a personal question each and every one of them asked themselves. "Do I go on?", "is this worth the price I am paying?" (JK's lost youth, for example), "is there another path I want to take?"

As to the renewal of the contracts, once they decided they wanted to continue as a matter of principal, that's when the questions arose under what conditions are they willing to do so, and here I do think that Jikook did have a say as to "where to from now" when it comes to their representation in the content.

The feel is that since 2019 there is more Jikook showing up in official content. I'm sure there is plenty that ends up on the editing floor, but there seems to be a shift in how they are being presented, what is allowed into the official content.

Memories 2019, Melon 2020 black swan, Dynamite holiday mix, Season greetings 2020, Memories 2020 and now MOTS ONE dvd. Yes, at times there feels to be a pull back, but I think this is because the company feels the need to remind the fans once in a while that BTS is not only Jikook, and to also calm the stormy waters that follow every time something big comes out with Jikook. But, there is a noticeable shift. RB finding it's way into official content had a logical explanation perhaps, one that we kept giving time and time again - the whole hiding in plain sight, adding it to the content because it was already out there. We forget on the way all the other Jikook moments that found their way into memories 2019.

We thought we hit the jackpot with memories 2020.

But hickey-gate, well that's a new level. No fancams out there that the company has no choice but to address that hickey. A hickey that not one of us would have known of if it wouldn't have made it's way into the dvd. A dvd that is edited and approved by the company and the members. JK & JM's SM posting on day of release after it blew up on SM only confirms they knew it was coming, were ready for the storm and reacted to it.

ah, gosh, maybe i should come off anon, because i feel like you and i could have some really great conversations. I'm the same anon from the other day who talked about differing viewpoints/contradictory beliefs, and why i thought you were such a valuable voice in our community. I stand by that.

Your point about the things that you can't rationalize (mma 2018, jimin vlive 2021, I personally have a few other insane *** high points that I think fall under that pattern) is exactly why I genuinely think there's something going on there. This repeated pattern of high-point all-out otherwise inexplainable events that happen between them, on a fairly regular occurrence. 99.9% of what every shipper discusses is in the noise floor, or at least consistent across all (most) bangtan pairs. Jikookers are all insecure about taekook but didn't even bat an eye at that insane vmin clip that dropped just a few days ago. That kind of thing. For me its that there's a consistency between jkk. Like it's not every time, but that it's like an elastic band that whenever it gets stretched almost to breaking, it bounces back. Makes itself known. I would be interested to know your opinion on JK's posts for JM's birthday this year, especially in contrast to the post(s) he did/did not make for the other members.

I wouldn't mind comparing notes with someone who unequivocally thinks Jikook are dating or have something going on. 😊 No pressure, of course, it's up to you. I will say that I have more open discussions on Jikook and where I stand via DMs than I would express publicly.

I think where you and I might differ is that I don't think these high-impact moments happen often enough where it eliminates all doubt. And even if there were a ton of those moments, I don't think I'd be able to agree so candidly anyway, simply because of my own feelings towards RPS and the boundaries I've set for myself regarding it. If I were to achieve where you're at, I think the way it would manifest is that I'd have a lot less to say. As it currently stands, I have an opinion on most things. 😬

I will agree with you that I believe Jikook have been consistent, which I think has somewhat tapered off in the last year or so (but to be fair, there's also less visibility among them, so it's not for lack of consistency but rather we're just not seeing examples of it). It isn't that I don't think they're close, but this assessment goes hand-in-hand with what I believe is their new dynamic. That's a different topic altogether.

Anyway, Jungkook's birthday post. I don't have a fully fleshed out opinion on the matter. I mean, I do think it's endearing that he would do such a thing for Jimin–and so publicly too–but how much can we read into this, really? This is the same person who posted a photo of himself with Taehyung on IG and no other members. But neither that nor this instance is truly indicative of anything for me. I think this is a good example of how inaccurate it is to fixate on one moment and instead focus on his behavioral patterns. As it is, Jungkook's public posting for other members is consistently inconsistent, and that's all I have to gain from it.

What is maybe worth noting, however, is Jimin's lack of public response to the video. I don't think he responds to everything members post, but he is also known to respond, even if it's just a 에이이 ㅋㅋ. If we were to assume Jungkook's greeting was just a bit of silliness between them, Jimin making a funny or witty remark would be par for the course. Instead, his silence almost seems damning, but in all fairness, he could've been busy with birthday events too. Who knows.

It is not my intention to try to convince anybody that Jikook is real now or was real in 2018 or whatever. But in response to the last anon and maybe this is an important life note in general: having a life partner does not save you from lonliness or despair. It sounds like a dark thing to say but it is not. I have been in a happy relationship for twelve years and have been occasionally clinically depressed during it. My wife has also been had hardships that just being with me was not enough to fix. She had issues with her family. She lost loved ones. We have both had points where we needed separate counseling to deal with life stuff. It does not mean we weren't or aren't in love. It means life and other pressures existed as well. Imagine BTS in the year 2018, playing stadiums and going farther than any kpop nand before. This was also a year when there were multiple tragedies anons young Korean stars. It is a small world. The community is not out of touch. And if you have reason to think Jikook might be a romantic pair, please also consider that being gay as a South Korea person, let alone an idol loved by millions, is hard. Do you think it is that easy for two people to just fall in love when so many external factors are pitted against them? Also, I would not hold it against Jungkook for joking that he slept like a baby. We did not see that whole conversation. It was heavily cut. We don't know what the context of it coming up even was. He has said before that he finds expressing his feelings verbally difficult at times. Do you really think he will have an emotionally naked conversation with Jimin with a camera in the room? Or that if he did, all of it stayed in the documentary? Of course not. Remember you see the tip of the iceberg.

Hi anon, I completely agree with you. What you wrote is something I thought when I read the other ask but in the end I decided not to say anything. Justifying or explaining every moment is not necessary, especially when you don't have all the facts. As I said in the ask that inspired that ask I guess, that conversation was heavily edited, and we don't have all the facts. We don't have all the facts of what the guys went through that year but there were also moments that year that to me are still significant in Jimin and Jungkook's relationship, such as MMA 2018.

Human relationships are complex and complicated because the human beings that make them up are complex and complicated. It's not easy, no relationship is perfect and some people don't tell everything to their partner or at least not immediately. I don't want to say that this was the case with Jimin and Jungkook but it can happen.

About Jungkook's answer about sleeping alone, didn't you notice the tone in which he said it? The little smile at the end or Jimin's little smile? or his expression in general? I don't think we know the whole story.

I still believe that they have deep conversations, that they are probably each other's confidant because of the things they have said several times. And from what I saw happen that year despite what the group was going through, Jimin and Jungkook were still kookmin. But as I've always said, we all see the same content but have different interpretations of it and most of the time there's nothing wrong with that. All opinions, when respectful, are valid.

I decided to pick my top 10 jikook moments (up until June 2020) in no particular order to really kick off my blog :). There’s so many lovely interactions between these two it was hard to choose just 10 🥴but I managed to narrow them down. If you want me to elaborate on why I love any of these moments let me know!

1. JM running across the stage to JK when he noticed him crying. Then staying by his side until he was okay. Just this whole moment is 🥺. (LYS London Tour 2018)

Literally one of the sweetest things to do for someone so close to you IMO. (september 1, 2020)

Hey, what made you believe in jikook?

It obviously wasn't because of one moment, but if I had to choose one single moment, it would probably be this one, which it also correlates with what I'll say next.

When thinking about what made me believe jikook were together, I would say there were two big things:

1) Jimin's attitude towards Jungkook (this is self explanatory)

2) The way their relationship progressed and changed overtime

I didn't get into the fandom knowing about them, I got into BTS because of their songs and music videos and I didn't know anything about the members and even less about BTS ships, tho of course it didn't take me too long to find out about all of that.

First of all I thought that they weren't straight, first with Jimin then Jungkook. There was some energy to them and it sounds dumb and I can't explain it beyond that, there was an energy around them. It's the gaydar 🥸

I started noticing the way they interacted with each other, and honestly from Jungkook's end I didn't feel like he felt any particular way about Jimin back then, not in a romantic way or like he was attracted to him. I felt it from Jimin, tho. I don't think Jimin ever tried to hide that he was somewhat attracted or at least drawn to Jungkook as a guy. There were a few times I felt like this on Jungkook too but way less times than I noticed it from Jimin's end. One of the times would be when he kept saying "I want you" to Jimin while he was in the middle of a photoshoot. And just in case you're wondering... GCFT never really said to me "omg Jungkook is in love with Jimin" at the time BUT it was a huge heads up on Jungkook's sexuality. It was clear to me after watching GCFT (the moment it was released, I literally saw the notification on my phone, pressed on it and when I saw it was a video I went to my computer because I wanted to see it as HD as I could), that Jungkook was able to feel that way about another man. Not necessarily that he was feeling that way, but that he could feel like that. If by any chance you happen to be an artist on any field, I trust that you'll understand the difference. Basically, what I mean is... a friend could totally do GCFT for another friend while being just friends, but a straight man COULD N O T do GCFT for another man.

Then, just like Jimin said in that clip, there was DEFINITELY a moment where you could tell Jungkook "recently liked him more". And it was exactly around the time they filmed that segment. For most people their relationship shifted in 2017, but for me the really noticeable shift happened in 2018. They were closer after Tokyo but they weren't flirty and giggly with each other as they started being I'd say around January 2018. They gradually got so much flirtier and giggly-er from then on. They had shows in Japan around April when that interview was filmed, the Happy Ever After 4th muster Japan Edition and the backstage DVDs are just clips and clips and clips of Jimin clinging to Jungkook like never before. It was when the continuous piggybacks started. Maybe you already saw it and you don't need me retelling this but BTS would leave the stage and go backstage and you'd have Jimin backhugging JK and walking glued to his back.

Honestly, jikook in MMA 2018 somehow felt like the culmination of everything that happened in 2018 with them.

I wasn't planning on writing all of that about 2018 but only saying "how their relationship progressed" felt too short and like it didn't really explain anything lmao.

After 2018 came 2019 and 2019 was even "bigger" than the year before, and then 2020 was maybe a bit bigger than 2019.

I mean, this kind of progression...

2017, 2018 didn't even cross my mind to think "oh yeah they're kissing everyday", I only saw one Park Jimin trying to see how far he could go, literally testing the waters; whereas in the moments that happened in 2019 and 2020, I definitely saw two people who had kissed before.

It's only one example of many in the way their interactions progressed overtime and the most "clear" one for me. I mean, there are more but are way more subtle and could even be subjective, like it could just be something friends do and wouldn't really do a strong case for a romantic relationship.

So, yeah... for me it's the way I saw them getting closer and flirtier and even more dependant on each other, more appreciative of the other, softer and more caring towards the other, the Jiminssi, the "it's why lately you like me more?". It's the way I progressively changed my mind about what I thought of their relationship as time went by, because the changes were there.

I think it's also why it would actually be hard on me to let go of them/what I think of them if they were to say they're dating other people or something like that, because it's been going on for years and years. It's not like I would suddenly have to change my mind about a moment or two, a word or two, I would literally have to learn to see differently 5 years worth of their interactions.

I mean this in the most respectful way and I love hearing your thoughts! But I saw a couple of Korean people have said they don't see 'boyfriend' or that they lip read a different word, or that it is inconclusive.

I respect your beliefs and I am Jikook supporter too. But given how much Jungkook and Jimin stand to lose if they aren't careful, given how violently homophobic South Korea isn and how media trained they are- as in they have been drilled in the ways of public relations for years and years- HOWWWWWW is it possible Jungkook would say that- and within hearing distance of another person. They were in public. I think he said another word. It doesn't make them less real that he didn't say 'boyfriend'. I think it is simply inconclusive.

1) Firstly, let me just say that not all Koreans will admit/want to see what Jikook have. Can you imagine a TKKer admitting JK said he was Jimin’s boyfriend? Lol no.

2) I personally don’t think it’s inconclusive. He says 2 words, one word at a time, very clearly - it’s easy to lipread. If it was a full sentence I wouldn’t bother. I can see Jimin saying something but I haven’t even bothered with that. 

I went on Youtube and searched for videos where they are teaching Korean and things like “namchin”. It looks the same. The reaction of the Idol next to them is enough to see that he said something shocking.

3) Just because you are shocked that he would say it there, doesn’t make it not true or not possible. We know how bold Jungkook is. Jimin has admitted that they can’t do things like V Lives together because they get too distracted by each other. They go into their own world and forget about everything else.

4) I don’t really understand the point about saying that they are trained in media and are in public. You do realise that all of the Jikook moments we have, are in the same situation? At work?

Every single Jikook moment we have seen, is when they are at work, being filmed.

Let’s take a look at them at work. I’ll show some different types of professional situations.

Jungkook has created GCF videos, which are on their professional, business Youtube channel.

He has a video which is all about Jimin, with lyrics like “boy I’m holding on to something, won’t let go of you for nothing, running running just to keep my hands on you”.

His next video being another heavily Jimin focused one, showing him twice with the lyrics “I don’t want to lie no more, I don’t want to hide no more, what I found in you, is so real”.

And Helsinki where he literally lights up the video once it goes onto Jimin.

Whether people want to believe Jimin and Jungkook are a couple or not - or even if they are or not - doesn’t change the fact that they act in a way that will make people believe that they are.

As far as Jungkook was aware, only one person could potentially hear his conversation, which was the Idol next to him, and he would never do something to cause damage with what he heard. I’m willing to bet that Jungkook got lost in Jimin and forgot to hide what he was saying for a second.

As I said in my last post, if you believe in Jikook and think they are a couple, when Jimin asks what they are to each other, what do you expect Jungkook to say?

All the “Top JIKOOK moments” lists on twt had GCF Tokyo + Rosebowl being Top 2, regardless of order. I’d personally put MMA 2018 at #3. To me these 3 are the indestructible foundation on which JIKOOK being the love we all know and FEEL stand on. That regardless of theories, naysayers, or whatever the future holds, we’ll forever have them as examples of that love. What I noticed was all 3 were initiated by Jungkook, which I found super interesting and would love to pick your brain on that angle!

I think there’s a couple contributing factors to this phenomenon. 

A) I think in general, Jungkook doesn’t participate in (very much) fanservice. 

Jimin probably initiates the most fanservice out of all the members. The things that Jungkook initiates between the pair stands out that much more because he isn’t one to do something flirty with another member just to make the fans scream. He only really does things that are genuine and come from his heart. So when he does these super big grand gestures for Jimin and Jimin only, people tend to take notice. On the other hand, Jimin can be as flirty and clingy with Jungkook as he wants and nobody will really bat an eye. 

B) The grand gestures. The things that Jimin does to express his fondness of Jungkook tend to be more physical. He loves skinship, he loves playful flirting, and he loves just interacting with him. 

Jungkook has a different way of expressing his fondness. Where he might not be as good with initiating contact or not as smooth with his words, he makes up for in these grand gestures of love when it matters most. Rosebowl and GCF Tokyo being prime examples of this. 

I’d agree with your opinion on MMA 2018. I think MMA differs from what I wrote up above, and really just comes down to ease of intimate contact and the LOOK in Jungkook’s eyes. Jimin puts on a mask and only lets us see what he wants us to see. Jungkook’s eyes give everything away. He wears his heart on his sleeve in this way.

That just isn’t how you touch your bro. Jungkook let his body language go unchecked that day, and I kind of do wonder why.

I believe completely that Jikook had something going on between 2015-2018, won't label cause we don't know 100%, but asking politely what shows that they are still together? I'm curious, not insecure or anything like that (I had that phase, I've just accepted that they might be friends now). I don't see that connection anymore, and I know there's the argument that we don't see everything, but I sadly just don't see it lately. I love Jikook as whatever they might be, but I would love your viewpoint/feedback if you are okay with answering this!

Now anon, you can believe whatever you want. But if you believe that they WERE in a romantic relationship 2015 to 18.... then what, broke up? You think they would then be okay doing ALL of this together? I don't care how friendly you can stay with your ex, you don't blur the boundary lines with someone this much you just broke up with... not without feeling weird about it. And Jungkook at the very least doesn't have a good poker face at all. You would be better off excusing all this stuff by saying that they were never in a relationship and this is just how they are for some reason.
