Windenburg Train Station [Restaurant + Cafe ] ♥ The Sims 4: Speed Build // CC

♥ Hi guys, Today I present to you The Windenburg Train Station located in Windslar. This train station is known for it's Classical Architecture and beautiful historic interiors that has been conserved for decades. While the interior was updated with modern furniture's, the overall structure and essence of the building remains the same.

Located inside is a 5 star restaurant, "Florentine," and a café, "Stella's Cafe," where sims can dine and lounge while waiting.

The Windenburg Train Station is a multifunctional lot athat can be set as a restaurant or a Cafe. Some Spaces were left empty as I did not want to overly clutter the space with too many custom content. Feel free to decorate it!

Considering that this is a multifunctional lot, I recommend downloading LittleMsSam's Lock Door mod to lock doors in community lots. This will give you more control of the space. If you want your sims to specifically be seated inside the restaurant, I suggest locking the doors to the cafe and other parts of the building.

Xelzaz’s Telvanni Spellsword armor was altered to fit his new standalone scarf. Textures for the armor were not edited, and thus any mods or patches that change its textures will still be compatible.

Notes With the addition of the option to see Xelzaz opinion change live, many of Xelzaz's patches and plugins will need updating. These will happen a short while after the update, to allow the most people possible to have updated to 1.10

Xelzaz’s LOTD room will need to be updated to avoid seeing old meshes or missing new ones.

Oh no! It's an ask that appeals to all my biases so I dropped everything and typed this up in two hours! But, c'mon? My favourite tropes and my favourite boy? The pandering is unreal...

Once it all clicks to Eli, he hesitates and goes back and forth on actually asking you out a lot

But much like many things in his life, he struggles with committing to a choice

That being said, while he’s heel-diggy about asking you out, he basically tells you he thinks he loves you like, 9 days tops after it clicks in his head. 

Just. With the caveat that he doesn’t know if he wants to date you yet.

Because Eli knows himself- he knows that commitment is hard, he knows that he’s left his fair share of relationships by ghosting his way out when things start getting too serious for his tastes. 

And he also knows he cares about you a whole lot. You’ve been there for him basically his entire life.

The least he could do is not run you through his usual battery and leave you in a… less than stellar way.

He still loves being around you, and he’s pretty sure he’d want to be with you in a more traditional sense.

He just wants to make sure he’s ready for it first.

It dawns on him very suddenly one night

As he’s scratching his brain, digging up any inspiration he has hiding up there. 

Yet his mind keeps wandering back to you. As he lingers on that thought, he can’t help but lean back in his chair with an audible ‘oh no’.

It’s not that he dislikes you, that should be obvious, but it’s more the idea that’s getting on his nerves

Like, c’mon. The damaged goth boy ends up falling for the only person that gave him a sense of belonging? The one person who could help him look on the brighter side of things, even if it was like, barely brighter at all?

God it was such a cliche, and here he was living it

But it’s fine! He doesn’t have to do anything about it! He’ll just bury it deep down and then he’d die someday. It’d be great. 

…But completely blocking out his affection for you is way harder than he thought. It starts gnawing at him more than anything. 

He ends up confessing by text, because he’s a coward. Worst case, you don’t like him that way, but you can both pretend that it never happened ever. 

And yet you still reciprocate without skipping a beat, fully embracing the dumb cliches you are, both to his delight and chagrin.

Cashew

To anyone who knows, this isn’t a surprise. Least of all to Cashew himself.

He’s a hopeless romantic at heart; living through a boy-next-door, childhood friend to lovers romance kinda goes hand in hand with that very naturally.

He makes plenty of attempts to confess, but he just struggles with it every time. 

It’s just the simple fact that he believes in the fallacy that an unreciprocated confession between friends has the potential to make that friendship cave in on itself immediately

It really doesn’t, but no one’s telling him that

He ends up coping by trying to do typical ‘boyfriend’ things but not entirely succeeding at playing it casually. Cashually, if you will. 

He’ll like, make these little attempts to hold your hand. The most he ends up doing is locking pinkies, which you just think is a cute thing he does. 

Plus he’ll carry whatever he can for you- books, shopping bags, you name it. 

How nice :)!

But also every book he’s been recommending to you lately involve the protagonist reconnecting and falling for their childhood friend, who just so happens to always be their endearingly dorky foil and… hm. 

You’re eventually the one who breaks the tension, just directly asking him when exactly it is he’s planning on asking you out instead of being so coy about it. 

Of course having it called out directly catches off guard- he was being so subtle about it!

No he wasn’t!

Still, once he gets over it, he ‘asks you out’ right then and there. Sure it’s not a picture perfect confession scenario but… Does it really need to be if you already know?

The team who worked on creating the document "Warrior Cats and Anti-Indigenous Writing" mentioned that, with all components of Clan world building in mind, the naming system of Warrior Cats was concerningly close to the way racist colonizers translated the names of native people. Many people read and understood the document- I'm nervous to link it here because at some point I heard links break asks? But it was posted by Kitnesis on twitter. What confuses me constantly is how many Warrior Cats original stories don't make changes such as names to their works? I most often see someone change "medicine cat" to "healer" and I suppose everything else is alright now? Is that actually okay? Is the document just not as popular as I thought? Was this not important, did I miss something?

this has actually been something that was mentioned before on the blog, and it sparked such a large amount of backlash that we ended up asking people to stop talking about the issue.

i don't think a lot of people fully understand why the naming system is an issue. that's always been a big issue with the fandom and is also a reason why a lot of native americans face backlash when bringing up the anti-indigenous writing in warrior cats - because of a lack of understanding in how deeply affected our cultures were by colonizers and how hundreds of years later, we are still feeling the reverberations of colonization.

i usually try to encourage people to steer clear of names like "crowfeather" "thornbush" "flowerstem" etc. and just... completely avoid how the dawn of the clans characters were named. it's a generally bad naming system overall and hits a little too close to home with how some of my family members have "english translated" names to "make things easier for english speakers and non-natives."

for anyone wondering: here is the doc that anon is talking about, and i highly encourage anyone to read it if they haven't done so already.

That's a very hard opinion for me to form because here cars don't have them, we just trust car owners to be able to tell that the car that made the clunking sound and indicators flash it does when it locks its doors locked its doors. Which is partly why this answer comes to you well over two weeks after your asked me, as I just didn't know what to do with it.

So I could answer that my favorite chime is around 6:38 in this video, which I recommend you don't skip to because the rest of the video is great too...

...but if that feels like cheating to you, well, I'm out of answers.

So I will just talk horns and chimes some more until you're satisfied.

My mother's Citroën had this seatbelt chime, which I found pretty endearing, but without the peculiarity herein described. (It should start at 11:41, just in case it doesn't for you.)

My father's Audi had this calm, soothing chime which perfectly suited its soothing comfort, yet always reminded me of something...

Chrysler's Electronic Voice Alert, or EVA, was an option made available in the mid-80s that used the Texas Instruments' LPC Speech Chip you know and love from the Speak & Spell.

Unfortunately, while that was just a warnings list, many of those were spoken quite frequently, in part due to the vehicles in question being mid-80s Chrysler products, leading to the system swiftly getting on people's nerves, and in the models before a switch to turn it off was included owners resorted to pulling the fuse, which in some cases disabled the fuel gauge. Welp.

But that was not the only system nor first system of its kind: there was, in 1983, the MG Maestro's system.

If that voice sounds familiar, its voice actress Nicolette McKenzie had starred in John Sichel's Merchant Of Venice. If you're not from that side of Tumblr, she also starred in Horizon: Zero Dawn. A monotonous career path sure doesn't seem to be among her problems.

But this system was not the first either: some '81 to '84 Nissans (or Datsuns, as those were the very years that brand name, created for American shores, was getting phased out) used a Voice Warning system that used an even earlier technology than TI's chip (that's Texas Instrument's LPC speech synthesizing integrated circuits, not the money of trap music pioneer T.I.): a phonograph.

This wasn't a novel approach either, phonograph-based warning systems being used in late '70s-early '80s appliances and toys, and in-car record players having been a thing even prior!

In fact, to paraphrase Dr. Doofenshmirtz, If I had a nickel for every time I wrote about in-car phonographs, I'd have two nickels - which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right?

Although in 1985 Nissan too went electronic for their voice warning system - here's the warnings from those systems over a bad MIDI cover of Thrift Shop.

And that's without even getting into custom door chimes!

And boy will I ever get into custom chimes once I get to that section of my Miata Mod Master Mᴉsɥlᴉsʇ (that's "Wishlist" upside down), which by my estimations should be about April 2024. So keep your eyes peeled!

Dragon Age Origins - You know it, you love it, I love it, I don't shut up about it. Has sparked my longest ever writing project that has taught me so much about writing and actually finishing and structuring a long story. It will also be the first writing project I ever finish once I get there. It's also the first videogame I've played from start to finish and replayed(!!!!!) It's given me the opportunity to meet some really cool people (looking at all of you) and is accompanying me through some intense years. It's earned spot 1 fair and square

Detroit: Become Human - Such a freaking cool game!!! I was part of a team of mods for a collaborative playthrough (one person sat in front of the computer, the viewers made the choices, the mods communicated between the viewers and the player and made the decisions in case the viewers couldn't decide). I loved the mechanics and the story. It's just!!!! Yes.

Skyrim - I was once on a convention, can't remember which one, but they had Skyrim in VR and I could play for like 15 minutes. Guys. It was breathtakingly beautiful. I want to go back and play Skyrim in VR. Please

BG3 - Baldur's Gate 3 is high on my to play list. I mean, have you SEEN their character creator???? The story sounds like a ton of fun and the mechanics are familiar enough from DnD. Also, the companions 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀

Minecraft - I have spent a lot of hours running around in creative mode, building pretty things. It's a lot of fun!

Assassins' Creed - Looks super cool, haven't watched letsplays. This is also why I put the whole series in there and not one title from it. I actually own Assassins' Creed: Valhalla, but haven't gotten around to play it. Maybe one day...

The Witcher - I have heard lots of good things about this series, have saved some fanart, have watched a few letsplays for some early quests in the latest game. It looks really cool! Would love to play it some day!

Animal Crossing - I played Animal Crossing back in ye olde 2000-2010s. It was a lot of fun for little me, although I wnded uo getting overwhelmed because after a few days of not playing there were all these weeds to pull, so I spent all my very limited playing time pulling weeds!

And those are my 8 videogames! Honorable mentions: Horizon Forbidden West, Horizon Zero Dawn, The Sims (I think it was a bootleg version XD XD) and a zookeeping/animal shelter building game I can't remember the name of but was obsessed with. Heyy dawn, hope you're doing well and looking forward to your future mods!! Though since you deal in NPC replacers, I'm wondering if you've ever run into this problem

No matter what mods I patch, some NPCs persist in having a dark face and when I check through More Informative Console, it shows that their base got changed by {NPC replacer} but reference was last edited by skyrim.esm? xEdit shows no conflicts either; it seems to me like the skyrim file overwrites the replacers when it should be the opposite? Idk how to fix this and it's been driving me insane 😭

Ohh yeah, I can empathize 😖 I’ve banged my head on this particular brick wall so many times…

First, I don’t think the More Informative Console is anything to worry about: the ‘Base Last Changed By’ is usually the line you need to look at for NPCs. The Ref lines are referring to whether a plugin edits the object/NPC/etc’s location in the world. More useful for city overhauls and the like.

Since xEdit also doesn’t show any conflicts you might want to look for ‘rogue’ facegen data. It seems like you could have a face mesh overwriting your NPC replacer.

Some culprits could be:

A mod where you’ve deleted another mod’s edit to an NPC’s appearance in xEdit, but left its facegen/facetint files intact

A mod that doesn’t use a plugin to replace face meshes, something like Nordic Faces, Total Character Makeover, etc.

If you’re using Mod Organzer 2, you may also check your Overwrite folder as well. It is at the bottom of the left panel and anything in it will overwrite ALL other mods.

My knowledge about finding meshes that might be overwriting your replacer is unfortunately limited to Mod Organizer 2. I believe there is a way to organize asset load order in Vortex as well.

Apologies if this isn’t relevant to you/stuff you already know!

The area you want to focus on is your left panel. I would first recommend checking your Overwrite folder, and if it’s empty/doesn’t have facegen files, try moving your NPC overhaul lower down in the order, so the assets will overwrite your other mods.

You can see what assets (if any) any mod conflicts by looking for a lightning bolt icon next to the mod name.

A bolt with a red minus next to it means the mod is losing a conflict; one with a green plus means it’s winning a conflict; one with both means the mod is winning some conflicts and losing other; an empty outline of a bolt means it’s being completely overwritten.

You can double click the lightning bolt and it will bring up a pane where you can see exactly what assets are overwriting/being overwritten and from which mods.

"What are you doing?"

"Really, Crawly, this was item iiv of chapter 1 of the memos. There were diagrams and everything." He plonks himself down, crosses his legs, and pats the wall by Crawly demonstratively with an outstretched arm. "You ought to try it, it relieves some pressure from your feet."

Eventually, the demon relents, folding in the many limbs of his body until one foot rests precariously on the edge of the wall, knee towards the sky, the other knee on the edge to allow his foot to dangle freely. The rest of his lanky body declines against his elbows, leaving his head to carry the heavy responsibility of looking utterly bewildered and his striking black wings to flap haphazardly behind them. "Like this?"

"Close enough," Aziraphale offers, politely. --- An angel and a demon carry on their conversation on a certain wall and get drenched. Aziraphale teaches Crawly how to sit. Sort of. Both are gagging... for some good conversation. Part 1 of my own headcanon of them getting to terms with Earth.

Friday Night in Hell AU BUT only the FNF Lullaby Mod Characters

Sorry to the Hypno, Alexis, and Hell Bell cast fans.. because I forgot about them! I don't really think Hypno would fit? And honestly, Beelze and HELL BELL would not really change in the mod? ..Alexis wouldn't change either. And I would have no idea what to do with Dawn! (Made ironic now that Part 2 was made. Go check that out btw!)

Uh.. *ahem* I did everyone else though. And also Wally. Don't look at me, I think Wally would make for a sad fnf song.

~Lost Silver - Shade (It's a boy named Ethan, who apparently was killed near Mt. Silver. It does not appear under normal circumstances, only appearing to those of pure heart. Apparently its appearance can either pacify or terrify, depending on who it shows itself too. If proven worthy, it will give you a Cyndaquil, Pikachu, or on very rare occasions, a Celebi. If you are not... well hope you survive if you are not worthy!)

~Blake - Yuki-Onna (Male) (Compared to Mount Red, this boy has a lower kill count. He's a lot less mangled too, being one of his victims. He hides his missing jaw with a medical mask, and bandaged up his chest area where his heart was taken out of him. He will try to protect Mount Red's victims with his Typhlosion, but they usually end up dead before they can escape. All except for Gray, that is.)

~Mount Red - Yuki-Onna (Male) (He was killed by an ex-lover on Mt. Silver. Said lover would take his own life following the killing. If you see Red in a hanbok, hiding his face with his fan, then it's already too late. Male victim's often lose their jaws, whilst female victim's have their hearts torn out.. then later eaten by Red. Killing is hard work when you are a malevolent spirit!)

~Blue Tears - Onryo (He killed himself following his murder on his ex-lover. Now he causes disasters nearby Mt. Silver to prevent people from losing their lives. Most misunderstood him, deeming him a malicious spirit, but in truth he has saved lives in doing this. It's probably cause he's aware of why people are trying to go to Mt. Silver, they want to battle his ex!)

~Silver - Specter (He guards the Ruins of Alph, the location of which Ethan hides within. He will kill those who are not pure of heart by transforming into a Feraligatr! Oh wait, no it's an illusion. The victims usually die by his hands to prevent them from potentially getting (or harming) Celebi.)

~S!3v3n - Wraith (The younger brother of Mike that took his own life after feeling immense guilt over his actions. He tends to avoid Mike whenever possible, as his spirit was fused with Miki's as a last resort from Missing No. He looks more human than Charizard though.. and victims who do not heed Gray's warnings tend to end up as charred corpses.)

~Mike - Revenant (The older brother of Steven that was murdered, and is now seeking revenge. In the sense that his hair turned into wires that can extend to strangle his victims. Some of these victims were just onlookers caught in the middle. And Gray almost became a victim before Red intervened!)

~Glitchy Red - Living Glitch (The guy who isn't a spirit, but lives with Gray because he got his ass haunted. Don't annoy him, and he won't kill you. He has to tolerate so many spirits daily, so it's best not to make that looming anger worse. He also can go into his game and back out whenever he pleases.)

~Wally - Wandering Spirit (A young boy who died due to over-exerting himself during training. Should you seek him out, you must first go through Gardevoir. Even when her trainer was long dead, she still protects his spirit. Often times, he isn't 'home', but if your lucky he'll challenge you to a friendly battle. No consequences for losing, just the sting of defeat. Some hold back on Wally, but others don't. Hackers tend to glitch out of existence if they try to challenge Wally. No one knows why though.)

~Gray - Human (The poor sucker that's haunted to heck and back. Red has to protect him from death from time to time, much to his chagrin. He's constantly on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Worse yet is most of the stress comes from Shinto! (not that she's doing anything bad tho-))

~Shinto - Unknown (A poorly made hypno that seems to love Gray in a friendly way. Even if Gray is like.. scared of her. She can turn into a human! Which confuses the heck out of Gray and Red of all people.)
