The Yolk's On Us

What most bothers me about Elon Musk – and by extension, people like him – is less the man himself than a society that holds wealth in and of itself as a virtue.

And if that weren't bad enough, it seems to matter less and less how one becomes rich, as long as one does.

This is a problem for a lot of reasons, though one I wanted to go into a bit is that it allows fairly stupid people to rise to prominence.

Such as Elon Musk.

Tesla recently returned to regular – as in rounded – steering wheels in its Model S and X electric vehicles, as opposed to the yolk-style wheel Musk replaced them with.

Now despite what his sycophants may tell you, Elon Musk isn't an engineer in any sense of the term so he doesn't know how to engineer a car.

That being said, it doesn't take an engineer to know that a rounded wheel works better than a yolk-style one.

You just need hands for that.

Imagine for a moment you're driving a car. A yolk-style steering wheel works fine as long as you're going straight – or maybe in a Boeing 777 – though problems come when you're turning.

The farther you do so, the worse a yolk-style wheel becomes they are only two points to grasp, meaning it you lose them, there's only air.

Pardon the pun.

While with a wheel – because it's round – means that there's always something to grab when you're turning so it's significantly harder to lose control because a hand isn't on the wheel at any particular moment.

Though the thing is that it doesn't take an engineering degree to figure out, just a little common sense.

Which Musk also lacks along with the wherewithal to dictate what an automaker does or doesn't do.

Te King/Base: The Measurement of Good/Evil (Model S)

Te Kings have a cold heart to most, and lack care or sentiment for the majority of existence, but deep inside them is some warmth to the inner values that they rarely can or will shake off. A deep trauma will scar them for life, without much revision on how they feel on said trauma.

Whatever condensed values they have, they follow like a Bible, and everything can be interpreted and rationlized based on said values, which gives them immense freedom from how closed off they are to the sentiments of others. These types are the ones who will do extremely amoral actions for a just cause, in their eyes at least. And will think in any means that doesn't contradict their values, which are numerable anyways.

Bonding with a Te King is like having them sign a contract for life. They are extremely committed to whatever/whoever they truly mutualize with, and will aim to protect it/them with their dear existence.

But, usually, they are like a hard surface, they are hard to penetrate, and rarely care geniunely about anyone. They are apathetic and uncaring in most situations, and can come off as tough to provoke emotion into; you will not get much a reaction at all, really. They tend to be extremely thick skinned and can watch the most graphic horrors go down.

They can be enforcers, strict ones that is, with low dimensional Ti that is used to efficiently get things moving in a specfic way, even if people fall between the cracks.

Te Kings can be extremely pragmatic at the cost of basic empathy and gentleness. They do whatever is logical at whatever given moment which they are so adept at from the chronic supression of Fe, with Fi limitations of course. The sentiments of others, in their eyes, are useless for their prefered and rigid values, and will only slow them down.

Ne Vital (LSE): Te-Ne likes to intuitively deal with situations in a manner that makes it unfallible to alternative possibilities. They also like to spread their yarn thin and cover a wide area of what can happen so they seem set for whatever weird contegency occurs without active planning and speculation.

They are quite adept at determining the pros and cons of whatever tactic they use based on safety hazards they notice in the environment. The actions they commit tends to warrent and protect themselves from multiple possible errors.

Se Vital (LIE): Te-Se likes to interfere with the productivity of the environment to deal with a future they intuit quite vividly. Unlike Te-Ne, LIE's tend to be more deliberate and have direction. They can physically interfere to perfect the environment to their own image, squeezing out any imperfections they deem unjust and unsanitary. They are more confrontational potentially, and deals with the reality of the situation head on. They have a very competent way of navigating environments, and moving in convoluted spaces.
