So I've seen so much art that portrayed the Bad Batch in the modern world. I've decided to add to it by drawing a modern Crosshair! I'll be doing the other boys too, but since sniper boy is my favorite I did him first.

Isn't he glorious!? He'd totally be a leather jacket kind of guy. And yes, I added a chain to his jeans cause I think he'd have that as well! I'll do the other guys as well, but for now just enjoy Crosshair😍

Hunter made the mistake of trying to help Omega with her math homework. He should probably leave that to Tech. (I dont know about you, but my parents and I would always argue over homework) Don't worry about it though, they made up later that night.

Echo and Tech are out of the house for a couple weeks, each on their own trips. And without Echo, the house as truly gotten out of hand cleanliness wise.

And their big family has gotten even bigger! Now that Batcher has joined. I decided to make her a King Cane Corso.

Drawing inspired by the penultimate chapter of @kaydear's modern AU Bad Batch fic. It's one of those wonderful moments where the writing gave me such a strong visual that I couldn't wait to get it on paper. Rambling praise for the fic (and I guess spoilers?) and lines-only version of the drawing under the cut.

I read this fic last summer and it was my favorite thing that I read that entire year (and that includes all the traditionally-published books I read as well).

I wish I could draw like every other scene, but I'll summarize by saying that the exploration of each character and the moments where they connect are so real and satisfying. What blew me away the most was seeing how Crosshair existed as a modern character in a domestic setting, without the Empire and the inhibitor chips. I guess we'll never know exactly what Omega whispered in his ear here (unless Kaydear you want to spill!) but I assumed it was encouragement to go make things right with Hunter. And I just felt the relief when I read their conversation and Crosshair finally told his secret and let go of the guilt that was obviously eating him alive.

There is a lot of fan content I've seen that extrapolates the relationship between Omega and Crosshair... this fic is one of the best. I ate up every scene that focused on the two of them.

Kaydear you have a gift, and I am blessed to experience it.

UNDER THE WEATHER 🤧

"AAAACHOOOO" Tech sniffled on the couch. Omega, in the doorway, had her play set clutched. A little stethoscope and thermometer.

"Daddy!!!" the toddler shrieked, waddling over. "Daddy is SICK"

"I'm merely temporarily immunocompromised Omega." Tech stated, weakly lifting his finger. "Big difference."

"Dig Bifference!" the preschooler nodded, placing the stetoscope on his forehead. She held it in place, humming a bit before inevitably concluding, "I diagnose daddy with tummy ache"

"My intestines are not located in my head."

The little girl cocked her head, making big doe eyes. "Daddy Wicka's is!"

Given his brother only thought about food, a fair shot. Tech smiled, feeling instantly better at his private in-training nurse.

"Astute, Omega!" Tech praised, combing with his hand through the curls of his daughter. "Very astute- What are you going to do with this?"

Omega glanced down as Tech tipped at the toy thermometer. "Das a Femometew" The girl lisped, gnawing on her lips.

Tech had to hand it to her, she slowly but surely got quite good with difficult words. "What is your plan of action?"

Ouh- grave mistake. On the next take, Omega climbed up on the couch, trying to stick the pointy side into his ear.

"Wrong destination! Wrong destination!" Tech called out, trying to pluck her arm off.

"Whoops sorry daddy-" Omega retreated, ramming it under his underarm instead.

Better.

Tech sighed of relief, hoping his private nurse would loose interest soon.

Omega comedically gasped, clasping a hand infront of her mouth. "Oh daddy!"

Tech raised an eyebrow in agitation. "What? What is it? Am I expiriencing pyrexia?"

Omega took it out, glancing at it in horror. "100000 yards Fawenheit!"

Oh boy, his prognosis really wasn't the best...

A quick comic WIP, figured Crosshair would have some sage advice with dealing with bullies. I couldn't come up with a shitty enough established star wars character to use as the bully. So I ended up giving that annoying Nolan character a son to be the ass.

(I was planning on finishing this, but tbh I just saw the new TMNT movie and its taken over my brain. So expect some art of that in the future)
