Exploring Abstract Watercolor Mark Making (and trying NOT to paint a leaf!)

It's time to get creative with some mark making! I'll be using my Kuretake Art Nouveau paints to paint a colorful background and then I'm going to resist the temptation to create anything recognizable, and try to focus on the interplay of colors and shapes instead. (You'll see that I find it very hard not to paint leaves, flowers or trees!) But whether we succeed or not isn't the point, it's the creative process that matters! cosplay update as well — spray paint over two different primers (plastidip and modpodge) are VERY different looking when they dry. Like, even in color. Also I do not recommend modpodge for anything thin or bendable, even over or under plastidip - look at the cracks on my test piece!! Good thing it’s just a test piece,,

#the color difference is a spot of modpodge/plastidip vs just plain plastidip #one layer of badly applied spray paint #so it sticks to mod podge very well I guess #kipspeak #On my final prop I missed a few places with modpodge so it’s actually a DARKER pink? #but luckily the places I missed will be painted over and detailed so they won’t be noticeable

I gifted a friend the good omens audiobook but didn’t just want to give them a code. so I made a little box to put it in!

#I used modpodge and tissue to try and give it a leather look and cover up the hinges #and gold and black ink for the lettering but I wish I used gold foil bc the ink ran all over making it impossible to do any detailing #but I think the mistakes add to the charm!! #h speaks #good omens
