The Woman with A New Face
Tumblr media
Summary: Seeing Ursa, now known as Noriko, again has made you question if you had actually moved on from what the Fire Nation had done to you. Anger and resentment rise from the past, the past you thought you were finally over.
"Where is my mother?"
You all gasped, shocked that Azula could be selfish enough to use the only question for herself.
"Azula! What's wrong with you!?"
The Mother of Faces leaned down before speaking, "Ursa. I remember her. I could not understand why a human of such beauty would ask for a new face. To test her sincerity, I offered her one as plain as can be. She accepted."
Your eyes widened when the MOF showed an image of Ursa. "That's Noriko!"
You, Zuko, and Azula must have had the same thought at the same time because Azula took off in the direction of Noriko's home.
"I'll follow her," you comment before looking back at the gang, "I'll make sure she doesn't hurt Noriko."
Aang wanted to tell you to stay and wanted anyone else to go after Azula, but he knew you wouldn't listen to him, so he nodded his head. He watched you run after Azula, much to his displeasure.
----
"Azula! Come back!" You yelled out, only seeing the black of her hair before she stopped running. "God, Azula, what are you going to do? Are you going to kill her?"
Azula doesn't respond. She doesn't even turn to look at you.
"Azula?"
"Aren't you mad at her too?"
You sighed, of course, you were, but you couldn't tell Azula that. She would use it against you. "If you promise you won't kill your mom, we can go there together."
"Okay. I won't hurt her."
"You're a liar, but we might as well go anyway. Together."
She smirked, "Ladies first." She motioned for you to get in front of her, but you laughed.
"How stupid do you think I am?"
She rolls her eyes but walks in front of you, nonetheless.
-----
You both stood outside the door of Noriko's home. You sighed before opening the door, and Zuko was already there, talking to them. You thought you'd be able to control yourself, but you were wrong. Seeing her there, knowing she was enjoying her life. It wasn't fair.
"She lost her memory," Zuko informs you.
"Okay and? Good for her," you snarky respond, surprising Zuko.
"Are you okay, Y/n?"
"Of course! Who wouldn't be okay with one of the people who ruined their lives now happy? Living a new life without facing any of the consequences of their actions! Because there's nothing more reassuring than a terrible person being happy." You smiled at Zuko, but it wasn't a smile.
"I don't know what you mean, Y/n."
"Of course, you don't, Zuko, because you're an idiot. How come she gets a new face, and then every terrible thing she did as Ursa didn't happen? She doesn't have to live with the terrible thing she has done? It's not fair!"
"Oh my god, are you crying?" Azula asks, almost laughing at you.
"I AM NOT CRYING!" You turned around to yell at her, causing her to back up, a little scared. You never acted like this. But now you were blowing up over something they saw as stupid.
"But you are crying," Azula said in a whisper.
"It's not fair!"
As you are arguing with the siblings, Noriko got up.
"Y/n, yes? I don't know- remember what I did, but I'm sorry."
"Your sorry means nothing to me," you crudely bark.
"I think you should calm down, Y/n."
"Why should I be calm!? I have a right to be upset! You don't know what it's like-" Zuko reached for you, but you flinched away, "Don't touch me! I'm going outside to get some fresh air."
----
You saw your group leave the forest, well, more like running. Aang came running straight towards you and grabbed you. He pushed you back, far away from the forest, as you asked him what he did.
"Why do you assume I did something?" he asked, offended, as you crossed your arms.
"You can't be serious, Aang."
"Fine. I may have pissed off The Mother of Faces."
"AANG!"
"I didn't mean to! It was an accident! I just wanted to help them, and she said no, and I might have scowled her..." he looked away from you before his eyes widened. "What are you doing out here?"
You put your arms aside, not answering him, before covering your face and crying. Aang immediately pulled you into a hug as you cried in his chest.
"Are you okay?" He asked, finally pulling away and grabbing your biceps.
You whipped your cheeks, calming yourself, as he rubbed your shoulders, trying to comfort you. "I didn't realize I'd react so harshly when seeing Ursa. Knowing who she is. I started yelling. I've never reacted like that before-"
"Technically, it wasn't Ursa-"
"Aang! I'm serious."
"I'm sorry, you're right, Y/n."
You turned your back to Aang, clearly upset. Aang put his chin on your shoulder, blowing into your ear.
"You know I didn't mean it like that, Y/n. I am sorry. Do you want me to stay out here with you?"
"You don't have to," you began, "but I'd like it if you did," you whispered the last part, though Aang still heard you.
"Of course, I'll stay out here with you, Y/n. There's nothing I'd like to do more than be with you."
"Even if I reacted poorly to that situation?"
"Hey, neither of us is perfect, and that's how I like us."
"Thank you, Aang. I needed that."
"Anything for you," he says as he grabs your hand, bringing it to his lips and kissing it. "You are lucky I'm so obsessed with you."
You slap his shoulder as he laughs, only causing you to glare at him, "Not funny, Aang."
"Well, I think it was pretty funny."
You roll your eyes but don't say anything, holding Aang's hand as he lets you lay your head on his shoulder.
"I should probably apologize."
"Let's stay out here just a little longer."

It really depends on the game Trevorcard shows up in.
In MoF, he wakes up in his tomb with the armor cloak and no shirt, so he has an excuse for being shirtless in that game. He can't exactly go find a shirt to cover up in.
In LoS2, he really doesn't have that excuse. Now, when you play as Gabriel in game, Trevorcard is in Abyssal Armor because he's pretending to be Zobek's Lieutenant, so he's entirely covered up. But when playing the DLC, where you play as Trevorcard, he really doesn't have that excuse.
I personally find it funny how there's very little fan service of the female characters, but there's a ton for the male characters.
I personally find it funny how there's very little fan service of the female characters, but there's a ton for the male characters.
And that is already more in spirit with CV's mentality than the show :P
About Isaac:
Iga: [...] There's also the fact that he's been afflicted with Dracula's curse, so I thought it would be interesting to fight against a dark hero who's gone kind of crazy. We discussed how to represent that visually, and one idea was "how about having him be naked from the chest up." (laughs) [...] Actually, when I asked Kojima to design him, she said "Um, don't tell anyone that I was the one who made him barechested!" (everyone laughs) Takeda: She was really uncomfortable with that wasn't she! I also remember that in the first illustration she handed us, Isaac's underwear was like, as low-cut as it could possible be, but in the next design iteration she raised it a bit. Iga: And then I told her to lower it back down. As far as possible. (laughs)
About Julia:
Originally her legs were bare, but even though she's a witch I thought that might be a little too erotic, so we gave her the leggings you see in her final design.
Perish the thought of designing a woman in an erotic way! Cover her up! Oh but Isaac can go around with his pubes peeking out of his pants, he's fine :P
(not that I would have wanted Julia to be sexier, it wouldn't have fit her character. The contrast is just funny to me. Also "even though she's a witch"? interesting implications)
I'm also reminded of the Succubus in SoTN, who has literally her chest and crotch exposed, but 1) you barely see it in her sprite, and 2) she's not even that sexual, as she uses the memory of Lisa's death to trap Alucard.
Generally speaking, CV has some fanservice, but it's very rarely in your face - even Isaac is not exactly the epitome of handsomeness lmao. Trevorcard... eh he might have pushed it, but if it's only one game where he goes around tiddies out for no reason, I can justify it (maybe they reused models, I don't know). N!Alucard goes so far that he's insulting to me, and the "fanservice " surrounding N!Hector is just revolting.

I promised some headcanons for Marie. Pt. 1
The first two games take place in the 1000s, Marie would not be shaving.
She also would not be skinny either. She was a merchant's daughter and was married to a knight.
Marie's wedding dress would've been a combination of Green, Blue, and Yellow. Maybe a little bit of red, but white was not a typical wedding dress color in the 11th century. Or at least anyone outside of royal families.
She definitely started courting with Gabriel.
Her and Gabriel were about six/seven when they first met.
When Marie first met Felicia, she immediately considered her daughter.
Before MoF, when Gabriel was still transforming into Dracul, Marie tried to help him in spirit. She tried to comfort her love, but there was only so much she could do given that she was dead.
After Gabriel seals Trevor in the tomb, she was unsure how to feel. She had just witnessed their son be killed by his father, but she couldn't hate Gabriel. She knew this was to come about because of the shard of the Mirror of Fate that Pan and the elite Brotherhood of Light showed to her. But, even knowing that this was just part of the greater plan, hearing Gabriel beg for her forgiveness for what he did to their son, it made her regret following the greater plan.
When she helped Claudia find her people in the afterlife, she also helped Laura find her human family in the afterlife as well.
In LoS2, when she reunites with Gabriel, God takes mercy on them, and allows her to be immortal, as long as Gabriel continues to protect Earth and Humanity. Alongside their son, Trevor.
Also, she's definitely like 5'5" or 5'6". There's like, a foot difference between her and Gabriel.
She also adores Sypha and wished that they could've met when both were alive.
She also would be the first to greet anyone from the Belmont line who passes. If they didn't know the history of the family, she would tell them everything.
I'm not sure if I see her as autistic, like I do Gabriel, but she's never seen with shoes on. At any point. Now, this could just be because she was killed in her sleep, so she didn't have shoes on, but I personally think, she just doesn't care for them.
Also, speaking of Marie's death, she has a permanent ring around her neck from where she was beheaded in her sleep. She usually wears something over, mostly because both her and Gabriel are still healing from everything. But as time progresses and they heal, she stops covering up the scar.
That's all I can think of for now.

Can you tell me about your skull face/volgin headcanons :0
cracks knuckles I haven't fully developed them but here's some hcs from the deepest pits of my hellhole of a mind
- Skullface knows how to cook to an extent, but by God he can bake the BEST sweet food ever and volgin LOVES IT, he'll never admit it though but skullface knows very well how much he likes his cooking
- Sometimes Volgin likes to read the books Skullface reads. By this I mean he'll either loom over Skullface's shoulder and try and read the pages or he'll take the books he HAS read and read them himself.
- As MOF, he and Skullface basically acted like Mantis' parents lmao. Skullface acted like a strict mom [yet still caring] and Volgin acted like a fun dad. Mantis has so much dirt on them you don't even know it's so funny
- They will both say they hate eachother infront of anyone and act the part too. Funny enough, they believe they hate eachother. They don't, they just have conflicting feelings
- Volgin will randomly speak to Skullface in Russian to see if he can still speak in the language. He can. Volgin finds it delightful, Skullface is annoyed.
- Skullface once slightly opened up to Volgin about his past and to this day Volgin still does not know how to talk to him further about it. He can't tell if he is scared to do so or simply does not care.
- Even though he cannot feel it, and says that it annoys him, he secretly loves it when Volgin cups his face or holds his hand. He thinks it's nice.
- Skullface loves Volgins electricity. It is very useful.
- Volgin sometimes feels like his scars are ugly. Skullface is quick to remind him that his entire body is burned, yet he still got a boyfriend once [Zero]. This immediately boosts his confidence.
- Skullface secretly keeps a mental note of what bothers Volgin and what doesn't. Volgin does the same, except he writes it after the conversation and keeps them in a book. He cannot remember things as good as Skull.
- Volgin is forgetful, so Skullface puts little sticky notes around wherever they live [if it's a modern AU, imagine a house] so Volgin remembers to do stuff. This works 84% of the time.
- Skullface has impulsively said things about Volgin while talking to him that might not be the most sfw. Volgin thinks this is the funniest thing ever and loves every second of it. It boosts his ego.
- Volgin loves Skullface's eyes. Sometimes, Skullface has to snap him back to reality during a conversation. He also loves listening to his 5 hour infodump about some random bullshit.
- They have very complicated feelings for eachother. While they acknowledge the part of them that loves eachother, they believe too much in the part that hates eachother. They often get into arguments that leave the other upset for sometimes days at a time. They never really make up for it either, nor talk about it, they just ignore it and continue like nothing happened.
my brain is still whirring with hcs rn so I may post more later 💪

grab yourself a drink and some popcorn for this one, this is by far my longest post yet and youre gonna want to be prepared :P
nina's thoughts on Touhou 11 - Subterranean Animism
Subterranian Animism is probably one of my favourites in the series so far, it has a ton of really cool aspects both in gameplay and story. the majority of the big changes to gameplay come in the playable characters themselves, but theres a few system changes too. faith comes back from MoF but now it only goes down if you die, resetting to the initial value, which may sound broken with how many points you'd get, but lives are different now. lives now are gained by collecting 5 'life pieces', little pink stars that drop from mid-bosses, boss fights, and the occasional strong fairy whenever you beat one of their phases without dying or timing out. life gains are much more consistent now, but the fact you only get life pieces if you dont get hit is a bit strange, as it means a player having trouble will get even less lives to help while a good player has tons of lives that they dont need since they dont get hit. bombs are handled the same way as MoF, sacrificing a weapon option (which you now only get 4 of instead of 5), but unique bomb effects are back depending on your moveset.
speaking of those movesets, SA again only has Reimu and Marisa with 3 movesets each, but with a twist! instead of being simple weapons, each of the movesets represents a youkai from a previous game teaming up with Reimu/Marisa, reminiscent of Imperishable Night. each combo has unique weapon mechanics not seen before, a bonus skill, and unique dialogue through the story, making for a lot of variety based on your choice. all 6 are really cool and i wanna talk about them all, so prepare for a big wall of text here :P
Reimu + Yukari: Reimu's first combo is with her old partner from IN, the gap youkai Yukari. This moveset is somewhat reminiscent of Reimu's typical needle attacks, but with some unique elements. Yukari's needle-shooting options are constantly orbiting Reimu, and if the option would go off the left or right edge of the screen, it instead wraps around and keeps shooting on the other side. the special skill of this combo allows Reimu to do the same, if you double-tap a direction into the side of the screen you will zoop in and come out on the other side! its a really funny move, and probably has some insane use cases, but i never could make good use of it myself. their bomb is pretty nuts, having Reimu slip into another dimension where shes completely unaffected by bullets for a few seconds, and then fully clearing the screen when she reappears in reality.
Reimu + Suika: Reimu's next partner is the drunk oni Suika who debuted in one of the fighting games iirc. Suika's weapon acts as this games homing option, although the actual homing aspect is pretty weak. interestingly though, her bullets are also piercing in addition, which makes her great at punching through crowds of enemies. her special technique is that if you let go of every button on the controller it magnetizes every item on screen to you no matter where you are, which is a pretty huge QoL buff and is really helpful for grabbing life pieces without putting yourself in danger. her bomb creates a circle of protection on your position like the MoF ones, but any enemy bullet that enters is turned against the enemy instead of simply being negated, which can deal some nasty damage. i played Suika's combo the least, but it actually ended up being my 1cc somehow lmao.
Reimu + Aya: Reimu's third partner is the high-speed newpaper tengu Aya! this was my favourite of Reimu's partners. her weapon is reminiscent of Sakuya's B set from PCB, where the direction of Aya's shots is tied to the direction Reimu is moving in, with focusing locking the angle in place. unlike that set though, Aya shoots both in front of and behind Reimu, and can spin full 360 degrees, which gives her great versatility and surprising utility against certain bosses. Aya's special ability is also really fun, if you let go of the shoot button Aya lets you absolutely schmoove around the screen. this combos really well with her bomb, which surrounds Reimu with a circle of destruction that stays locked to her as she moves and negates any bullets that enter. popping a bomb and then rocketing all around the screen deleting enemies is insanely fun, and if used at the right times can even give you a full power refund through the enemies you defeat with it!
Marisa + Alice: like Reimu, Marisa's first partner is her IN companion Alice. Alice's weapon is fairly simple, a collection of lasers that either shoot in a inward angle or an outward fan depending on if you're focused or not. the interesting part comes from Alice's special ability, which is that you can stack weapon options up to 8 instead of just 4. at full power, if you hit an enemy with all the beams at once it can deal nutty damage, although at the risk of moving unfocused. plus, 8 options means 8 potential bomb uses before you need to refill! it sounds great, but as a compensation Alice's bomb is pretty bad. one of her dolls shoots a thin line forward from Marisa's position for a second, dealing damage and destroying any bullets that touch it. the damage isnt bad, but the screen clearing is abysmal. at least you get the universal i-frames for a bit after activating.
Marisa + Patchouli: more magicians! Marisa's second partner is the library witch of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. her weapon is a very technical one, and inherently tied to her special ability. instead of one weapon, Patchouli has 5 different shot variants that fire at different angles, that you toggle through by pressing the shot and focus buttons simultanously. there's a lot of potential in Patchouli's moveset, and much like Aya her ability to fire in almost any direction is surprisingly useful against some bosses. unfortunately, her bomb is pretty basic, being pretty much exactly a MoF bomb but slightly larger and dealing good damage if something gets hit by it. the bigger problem though is that pressing the button combo to switch firing modes gets tiring on the hand once you're deep into a run. very ironic that Patchouli of all people has the most physically exhausting special move :P
Marisa + Nitori: Marisa's last partner is the kappa nerd from MoF, the outlier of the group as shes not a magic user. probably the most basic moveset of the game, Nitori's attack is shooting high-power missiles that slowly fly up the screen. her special ability ties into her bomb: when you use your bomb initially, a shield appears around Marisa. the shield lasts for a few seconds, and if you're hit at any point then the shield breaks and fully clears the screen. if the shield fully wears off though, instead you get a 50% refund on the power you used to activate the bomb in the first place. returning the resources for a bomb that you didn't need is a neat concept, but the fact that her bomb deals no damage at all is a hard sell, and ideally you aren't using a bomb unless you really need to anyways, making her a pretty weak choice if you already know what youre doing.
if it wasn't clear by all that, the movesets in SA are really cool both flavor-wise and in their actual mechanics, and its hard to pick a favourite. i love all the different character interactions that take place in the dialogue across different runs, and theres one more bonus thing related to your moveset choice that ill get to later. its about time to talk about the new characters!
i have to start with Yamame, the earth spider youkai. you love to see another bug-type youkai show up! unfortunately, much like Wriggle, she has stage 1 boss syndrome. barely any relevance to the story, and pretty much never shows up again in the games. sad! bug youkai getting the short end of the stick again. i sure hope this doesnt happen to another buggy character like 5 games from now. #justice4bugyoukai!
the real standout characters of SA are the Komeiji sisters, Satori and Koishi. Satori is a mind reader, using her third eye to see into the heart of others, look through their memories, and discern what theyre thinking. its a pretty freaky power, which has made her a complete outcast, living alone in her mansion with her two pets. her ability makes holding a conversation awkward, as Satori already knows what you're thinking before you say it, and unfortunately she can't stop herself from knowing how you really feel about her. she seems to genuinely not Want to constantly be reading people, even apologizing to Reimu about it after their fight. speaking of the fight though, Satori has probably one of the coolest moves in the series. partway through her fight, Satori will look into Reimu or Marisa's mind, and copy moves from their memory. Specifically, she copies old moves that your chosen youkai partner used against you in previous games! its such a sick concept integrating story and gameplay together, and honestly this moment is one of the reasons i wanted to start writing out my thoughts about these games cause it was so cool to me i HAD to talk about it somewhere. also while im at it, i havent really mentioned the music much in this series cause its pretty common knowledge that touhou music is good, but Satori's theme in particular is an absolute banger, please give it a listen. man, what a good fight, and she's not even the final boss! she's stage 4!
Koishi is another great character from SA, who is unfortunately flanderized a LOT in fanon, often being depicted as either a head-empty goofball or occasionally an edgy serial killer. its a shame, because Koishi's actual character and backstory is honestly heartbreaking. like her sister Satori, Koishi is a mind reader. or, more accurately, Koishi WAS a mind reader. reading the minds of anyone and everyone she talked to, being hated for her powers, and being forced to Know that everyone hated her, even if their words said the opposite, broke her. she decided to try and turn off her powers by closing her third eye, and she succeeded, but not without a cost. Koishi became a creature of the subconcious mind, with others not being able to percieve her existence unless she's directly in vision, often forgetting about her as soon as she's gone. despite it all, she seems happier after closing her third eye, being very cheery and free-spirited, and trying her best to make friends even if she's liable to be forgotten shortly after. adorable and tragic.
wow that was a lot! i had a surprising amount to say about Subterranean Animism, which i guess makes sense as this one took me the longest time to finish of them so far. it took me almost 2 weeks of attempts to finally clear SA, compared to most previous usually taking a week at most. there's a lot of stuff to like in SA, and as i mentioned way back at the start im tempted to call it my favourite entry in the series at the moment. the characters, the mechanics, the music, its all really good and they come together to make a real home run after the slight disappointments of MoF. now if only Wriggle came back as one of the youkai partners, then it would be the perfect game :P
to those of you who read all the way here, thanks so much for reading! i dont plan on making future posts quite this long again, but i cant make any promises. the fact that you care enough about a random girl's touhou ramblings to still be reading now is greatly appreciated, and i hope you have a great day! :>

info // man on fire ( volgin )
so, i write volgin both as himself and in a verse where he's the man on fire. but, i have made changes to things in his character to make sense when it comes to roleplaying and how he will behave in this verse.
so obviously, in mgsv - he's just a walking man on fire. he is constantly pursuing big boss - he's a man on a /mission/. he's also accompanied by psycho mantis ( due to his hate / revenge ). he doesn't speak or respond to things really - he just keeps moving and only emotes once.
so in terms of writing - the changes i've made is that volgin is aware and all-too-aware of what's happened to him. he looks the same as he did in snake eater due to technically dying at the age of 59. after the events of snake eater, he was experimented on in a soviet lab and came out as the 'man on fire'. alongside him in these experiments was a young psycho mantis with whom he formed a sort of bond with. this is the second time volgin has been experimented on. for the most part, he was comatosed but upon waking up - had nothing but anger. he'd not been allowed the comfort of death.
in his mof verse - volgin can speak, emote and communicate but he's stunted. he talks slower and reacts to things slower; he's not as jokey / dumb as he was in snake eater. he flirts a lot less ( but still sort of does ). he's very up and down / all over the place. in terms of appearance, he wears his rubber suit alongside the mask and has the bullets stuck in him - sometimes he will remove the mask. in terms of fire, he is warm enough to burn those around them but turns the fire on / off at his will. obviously, this can be adjusted to suit different muses.
finally ; in this verse, he has retained some of psycho mantis' instincts in that he's drawn to those full of hate / anger / suffering. he will appear as a sort of phantom for those burdened by something and if it's vengeance - will essentially help them achieve it.
tldr; in this verse, volgin is much more subdued, dangerous and communicates in a stunted way due to the experiments committed on him.

I quite like Hidden Star in Four Seasons. It's not really flashy somehow, but I can't explain why.
The music is mostly just alright, but it has really good Stage 6 and Ex Stage themes. Stage 6 themes have been especially good in recent games. MoF's Grave of Onbashira, SA's Hellfire Mantle, DDC's Exaggerated Castle Keep, LoLK's Sea Where One's Homeplanet Reflects and then HSiFS's Into Backdoor. The sixth stage is always fairly short and relaxing on the challenge. It'll have tight enough attacks to make you waste a bomb (or an overly zealous maid to get you to use one) but it's just a prelude to the final boss, so the themes themselves are always short as well, but they've been getting really good and memorable.
Satono & Mai are a great boss pair and I've always been a fan of duo-/trio-bosses. Okina isn't the most challenging final boss, but that's because HSiFS's Stage 6 isn't the final stage, that honour falls upon Ex. I like how much her non-spells resemble Yukari's, both in her projectile choice and the way they're built. And speaking of that Ex Stage, while I like it as a stage, I'd've preferred if we'd either have a second phase to Okina's Stage 6 fight with some dialogue between to wrap it up there and have something unrelated/tangentially related in Ex as per usual or just have a 7th stage instead. There's a specific character who really should've made an appearance in this game, no matter how small. She could've done what Yuyuko did in TD and shown up as the stage 1 boss, but it didn't happen and I'm definitely not still cross about it. I'm so over it. She should've been the Ex Boss.
The sub-season system is really nice. Not quite the different shot-type options of older games, but combining a character's main shot with a sub-season to either complement their strengths (like using Winter on Aya or Marisa) or make up for their weaknesses (like using Winter on Reimu or Cirno), but their different Releases are even more interesting than them just acting as extra Options.
I used to mostly use Summer, since you can use it up to six times in a row to create gaps in attacks. This is very potent, since you hardly ever need to clear the whole screen, just enough to slip through a formation. As an extra shot it's worthless, but that's fine.
Never did much with Autumn. The release is good, but I can never remember what it does, since it's functionally so similar to Spring's. It's pretty much Reimu C's bomb from SA, which makes it quite good. As a sub-shot it's alright, but I'd probably prefer if it was fully diagonal.
But then recently I found that Spring is really good. The sub-shot is whatever, it does its thing (which isn't damage), but the Release is just amazing. Strangely enough, the Release deals a lot of damage and since it clears a huge area all at once, you get a good amount of season items back, getting you up to level 2 or even 3 if you clear a lot of bullets at once.
I'd like to use Winter, because the damage it enables is really good and you get a long-lasting barrier that you can just sit on and it's even meaningful as a sub-shot, but it has a very unique problem, that's present in the entire game, but especially with this sub-season: The season items cause confusion as they fall around with the bullets. This isn't something that I experience in any other game, but I often find myself having to double-take whether something's dangerous or not or some projectiles escape my sight outright. It's a bit of a shame.
It's also nice that Aya got her turn to be playable. I like her. LoLK opened the gates on playable youkai, but after HSiFS it hasn't happened again yet.

Dear Mof,
Welcome to 2023 my love! It’s Jan 1st, we spent our day relaxing and hanging out with Halie and Lukah! We worked on our puzzle and watched the circle. It was a good day. I spoke to Riley today, she seems to be doing good, I could not be more proud of her and the steps she’s taking in her own journey. I hope one day we can be close again, I have hope. It’s nice.
It didn’t work out with Sam, at this point we don’t speak and have no ties or relationships with her. I want to say that I’m sad, but I feel so much more positive and clear minded without her to fuel my fire. I hate sounding like I’m not taking responsibility for the things I’ve done, and I’m not trying to avoid that. But it’s nice to not have someone feeding my dark side just to see how far I can go. She made her choices, we made ours.
Your dad and Heather seem to be changing, after Riley told us she didn’t talk to anyone anymore it made me question the reason. I want to be nosy, it’s in human nature. But I respect her choice and I respect that her situation lead her there. Still, I can’t help wanting to know out of simply fear of being hurt again. A part of me wants to be proved right, a part I’m still healing.
I hope your dad will come around and want to have a relationship with his daughter. I know you don’t want anything to do with Heather, but I still hope she heals and grows, just without us.
I feel like this year is different, it’s going to be different. We have the power to make it different.
It’s always been you and me versus the world.. nothing has changed, I’m still your biggest fan.
I love you, bigger than the world.
Talk tomorrow.

Actually, before I log off for the day, I will say, please don't go labelling Wilbur a narcissist or trying to armchair diagnose him with any cluster B disorders. Having NPD doesn't make someone abusive. Being abusive is what makes someone abusive. By armchair diagnosing an abuser with NPD, it's not only just further stigmatising an already very stigmatised and often misunderstood disorder but also, by framing a mental disorder as "abuser disorder", it almost unintentionally shifts blame away from them as a person and their actions and more towards the mental illness that they may or may not have. This isn't to excuse anything Wilbur's done. Just please keep in mind, people with NPD aren't inherently abusive. Wilbur isn't an abuser because he's a "narcissist", he's an abuser because he's abused people

I have no idea why I'm doing this,I can hear my voice speaking every word I'm typing narrating this shit I'm doing ...and I'm quite conflicted about whether I feel reliefed that no one is seeing this ...or feel underwhelmed bc no one actually seeing it ..
It not Like I don't wanna be viral, but as narrator I do care for having someone at least paying attention to the story I'm telling..after all I'm a storyteller..I always have the talent of ear dropping not I cared about what are ppl saying, but It was more like i wanted to know what they were saying about me when I'm not there..like i mean .......
it ligit wanting to know what said about me aren't we all do that?
And if you asked me what the worst thing I heard said about me..and trust me I heard all of shitty things said about me, and I kinda deserved it ...some at least
but the most fucked up thing anyone ever would say was .. and I'm quoting " Mentally unstable, with desperate sick need for any man!" That was my aunt discussing my life with my lil sister and "I willing to fall in love with any douche bag I meet and I would run my life and get pregnant if I haven't been under monitoring and must be under control "of course there was some moffed conversation I couldn't hear and when I asked my sister what she said she just say "dropped it not worth it" ..but being called psycho slut by a family member(You liked them or not ) that claims to be spiritual awakening and trying to be their higher self is so casually cruel in the name of being honest..and that due to the fact I had a busy dating history growing up from 14 to 19 years old, but all teenagers are, right? it does not make me Slut or anything, I'm not trying to paint my aunt as Regina George kinda mean bitch but she can be like that some of the times, especially that she enjoys reminding me of all the dumb things I did that she knows and make fun of me and I'm supposed to laugh with her or I would be fucking inmature fool that cant take a joke ....and again i can't just say all those shitty things about her and shut the fuck up caz she had a major effect on my life, she thought me alot as I grew how pitarchy is fucking bitch and as a woman I can always be want despite she that she found my dreams quit hilarious as a joke...but again she had her ups and downs with me so I cant say that she is fucking judgmental bitch but she had her fun bullying me undercover with me or my sister or even with her friends who don't even know me...
On the other hand my other hand my other aunt (her younger sister) was a dream ...I was named after her, I loved her so much but I had this weird compulse to hurt her every time she decided that she forgave me...and that kinda comes in the opposite direction of my deep desire to please her as if it was my nu.1 priority.. despite what I wanted I wanted her to be happy with me, but it always backfire in my face doing the worst thing I can do..and now we're on bad terms, not bc I don't love, I do sincerely truely love her ... but after attempting to "jailbreak" with my sister and her 14 old son witch legally could count as abduction caz he is minor and I was 21 and my sister 19 ,I pretty sure that she would have me back...and it okay I get it, I just came to realize that she is way better off without me in her life, and bc I do love her that gives me excuse to hurt her and her family...
And I'm not trying to say oh she is bad person or that I'm a shitty person..I'm just saying that we all humans and we fuck up bad all the time and it's okay, but what pisses me off the most judgmental people who judge you caz they can caz they know you slip ups where they themselves are no fucking angels and maybe have done worse things than you but the only difference is they know what you did and you don't ;period
Till next time
