Tumgik
#molly roberts is my queen
SO MY TAKE ON RDR2 ROYAL AU
Dutch van der Linde, the current king of the land, very much Zeus coded, too loud, too proud, too egoistic, often refuses to sign contracts with surrounding countries if it doesn't benefit him more than them, but because of his speeches people love him, big rumour he killed his dad, the previous king? who knows, but he did make big changes when he finally arrived at the throne
Hosea Matthews, ah yes, the Matthews lineage, the counselors of kings and queen, every single monarch has their Matthew, very rich, but how did they get the money in the first place? who knows, talks and drinks with the people, is actually the one keeping the country working
Susan Grimshaw, the woman Dutch married and the fomal queen, but well know in their personal life, they are divorced, but no! they could not possibly say that publicly! it would be scandal, and the cheating of the king and the ignorance of the queen became the norm, no surprise they each have their palace wing, and no suprise she spends hours in the garden, but why does she stay? who knows, maybe it's some obligation to the country, to her people
Arthur Morgan, the son of Lord Morgan, a knight lineage, the first ones to put their neck out for the king, the silent but smart, the rumor has it he once had a son? who knows, always with the king and his counselor, always the first one to protect the ones from the palace, but also the first one to keep the prince out of trouble
John Marston, the prince whose side of family died, now raised by his cousin/uncle Dutch, but who cares for the complicated family tree, all we know he was gone for a while, where and why did he go? who knows, but he lately spends a lot of time in the maid chambers, a troublemaker, too young, how can he be the future king
Abigail Roberts, a maid who, like many others, got smitten by the posibility of being in love with a prince, and what a long year without him it has been, and now she has a son, but the public still asks, who is the father? and why is that child around so much? who knows
Molly O'Shea, what a blessing that a princess from so far has visited our country! and she must like it here very much, for she has no plans of leaving yet, one wonders why the queen avoids her and why the king is the exact opposite, she seems sad these days, I wonder why? who knows, she beautiful and graceful and gets letters everyday, from her father, asking her to come home
Mary Linton, another princess who came few times, her country is small but a prosperous one, and when she locked eyes with the knight, nothing stayed the same

Halloween with the Van Der Linde’s - Part Deux
This is part 2 of a Halloween post I did a while back. There are some lame memes of mine that reference part 1 but it’s of course not a necessity to read the first part. If you want to read it - here it is. Arthur - a pilot from Top Gun - he always thought it would be cool to fly and he loved the movie growing up. He thought about becoming a pilot himself as he loved freedom. However, he hated the idea of joining the air force and he didn’t want to be a commercial pilot.
Tumblr media
Dutch and Molly - Molly *really* wants to do Bonnie and Clyde. Badly. So badly. Dutch thinks the idea is too basic. He thought about doing Elvis briefly. Finally, Dutch decided on King Henry VIII and Molly as a princess. Henry VIII was known for his romantic notions of courtly gentlemanly love and all things grand.......but is more famous for how his wives ended up and his politics. (No, that’s not commentary on Dutch but I suppose you could make an argument for some minor similarities). Molly’s dress is indeed based on the deleted Ball Gown dress.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hosea- David Bowie 100%. He loved David Bowie for decades and since people have said he resembled David, he thought, why not?
Tumblr media
John - Like every year, he didn’t want to dress up. He finally “forced himself” to choose a Yellowstone employee shirt....which then caused the family to goad him into adding pizass to his costume...which was a jacket and some spurs.
Tumblr media
Abigail -Lara Croft, She watched the kids in one of her foster homes played Tomb Raider and she loved it. She always wanted to be like Lara. The only thing she changed was the shorts into longer pants.
”’My legs get cold, Gosh dang it!”
Tumblr media
Sadie - She saw Pearson and Charles dress up like pirates last year and knew she could do a better job. You bet she’d be the most bad ass pirate queen you’ve ever seen....her epilogue outfit even looks like a pirate’s outfit.
Tumblr media
Charles - A Jedi and he’s comfortable as hell. He was a comfy pirate last year and intends to be comfty again. He almost convinces Arthur to join him, especially since “Jedi fly ships”. Star Wars gave Charles a lot of comfort growing up and he stills enjoys it through the ups an downs. Then Uncle appears....
Tumblr media
Uncle -  is a Jedi, too doing bad Obi-Wan Kenobi impressions.......just to follow Charles around and annoy him.
Tumblr media
Sean, Lenny and Javier - the three Spider-Men so they can do the Spider-Men pointing meme....just with three Spider-men! Lenny’s back up was Marty McFly, Sean’s back up was Elton John and Javier’s back up was Legolas. Yes, I FIRMLY believe Javier is a “nerd” in the best of ways.
Tumblr media
Jack - wanted to be involved, but remembered he was spiderman last year and the year before that so now he’s decided he’s Batman. He was not allowed to watch the Robert Pattinson film, but he’s watched the Kevin Conroy original Batman the Animated Series and loved it.
Tumblr media
Kieran - One of the classic Riddler styles, baby! He loves that Jack is Batman - the same version he grew up with. He tells lame riddles all night which annoys some of the gang members, but Jack has a ton of fun trying to figure them out.
Tumblr media
Josiah Trelawny - lost a bet and did not get to pick his outfit. He was horrified until…….it was the ladies who picked it out. They picked out Dr. Stephen Strange.
Tumblr media
Tilly, Karen and Mary-Beth - Charlie’s Angels. Mary-Beth wanted it last year and they didn’t do it so she INISTED this year. Note: I l literally do NOT know ANYTHING about Charlie’s Angels except that Farrah Fawcett was extremely famous because of it. If you know how to match characters to their personalities, go ahead!
Tumblr media
Susan Grimshaw - Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. It’s a fun costume with so many different interpretations so she gets to pick what pieces she wants.
Tumblr media
Micah - the Joker Heath Ledger version because he likes doing the impressions. He is monitored around Jack. (Oops, didn’t know I had 3 batman characters on here. Sorry, but I think it works!)
Tumblr media
Mr. Pearson - Bob’s Burger and people actually like it!
Tumblr media
Reverend Swanson - Gandalf. He has a rivalry with the “Star Wars nerds”, but it’s all in good fun.
Tumblr media
Leopold Strauss - doesn’t dress up. He thinks it’s a waste of time. Some of the less festive gang members agree with him. However, he does hand out items like pencils which....is useful at least?
Bill - Freddy Kruger - but does not wear the mask around Jack and his sister. He wants to be able to choose when he’s scary and when he’s not...besides, the Marstons and co would kick his ass. (Jack would probably think it’s cool, though.) (Doing a collage image because watch someone report me for posting a horror costume lol I know people who have been reported for less.)
Tumblr media
Rufus -  Jack and Abigail decide Rufus will use his good boyness for good and make up for John’s lack of celebration.
Tumblr media
Amelia Marston - My name for Abigail and John’s daughter. Abigail and John want to raise a strong little lady so who better than a feminist icon like Rosie the Riveter? (To those who don’t know, Rosie the Riveter was a World War II propaganda figure who encouraged all women to work outside of the home for the war effort - usually in factories.

Top 100 Ladies of TV
Looking at old blog posts, many years ago I did a "100 favorite female characters" list, but I have met so many wonderful new ladies now that it is quite out of date and needs a major update to accommodate them. International Women’s Day seems like the perfect time to do so!
Only this time I'm restricting it to TV characters, or I will die of Overwhelm.
NOTE: This list is not in any kind of order, I just wrote them down as they came to mind. I considered alphabetical, but found it was nicer to keep everyone from a given show together. And rather than starting from scratch, I kept as much of the original list as I could and just added newer favorites on at the end, if you're wondering why some of these Very Old Fandoms are clustered at the top.

Total Reading Goal: 50
Just to be kind to my future self when she looks at this at the end of the year: remember that we were pregnant, had a baby, had to look for a new job, and had to move. We just didn't have time. Maybe we will next year.
Also I will admit I've been binge reading some of Tiffany Roberts' work here and there.
_________________________________
Ok this year's reading challenge was completely and utterly slashed. I got overly enthusiastic and just went all over the place. I enjoyed reading when I could, especially after having a baby. February through May was difficult for me as I was in a lot of pain and just wanted to sleep on the last few months of pregnancy. I cried a lot. After I gave birth, reading helped me slowly heal my new found scattered and tired mom brain. I started off slow and after August when I started working again, I came back with a vengeance.

I'm finally finally watching it, it took me nearly two weeks but I'm finally rewatching Solve It Squad Takes A Chill Pill. I loved this episode when I watched SISBIB when it first came out. It was easily my favorite, and sitting here now typing this out just before I press play on the video thinking back to it, I still think it was an amazing episode. Do I don't really know why it took me nearly two weeks to rewatch it. Does have something to do with Robert Manion being in the episode? Yeah sure maybe. But, I'm pretty okay with watching stuff he's been in bc I'm easily able to look at it amd separate him from the character. So I don't know what happened this time. But I'm watching it now. So here we go: SIS Takes A Chill Pill rewatch thoughts
And uh warning: I'm gonna be talking about Robert's characters, and I will be calling things he does/his characters do funny and such
"oh I love my some of Sugar Daddies tasty holes!" "...I'm sure you do Keith."
I don't think interrupting their REM cylce would be the only way to get Esther to kill you
"Ha! Got em!" Keith they're talking about all of the team, you included
The growing emptiness deep inside :)
God Keith's blinding love for Gwen you stupid stupid idoit
"uh actually I'm gender no-conforming" "and Keith is gender non-coherant" still absolutely gets me
"we all got what we wanted! 'Cept Scrags!"
Also Scrags' face throughout this whole opening nddjdj
Just. Once again. The theme song >>
"Dark and edgy reboot of... The Magic School Bus."
OH BOY HERE STARTS NICHOLAS' BREAK DOWN THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE EPISODE
Scrags folding clothes isn't gonna take all day you can get to that later
"hey their gals and non binary pals!" implies this place only serves women and enbies or that Taylor just immediately clocked Esther
"mm yum!"
Goth Jojo Siwa!
"do you have kids Uncle Scrogtaski?" "uh well I used to have a dog so :).. No." "did the dog die? Did you watch? When was the moment you knew its soul had left its earthly meat sack?" sjdodk also I forgot how terrifying Paris also also I still think Scrags' full name should not be spelled like that
"well I think society sets unrealistic expectations for women and because men are threatened-" "how fast can you drive?"
Back to wives :)
"people 👏 do 👏 this 👏 in 👏 movies 👏 sister!"
Molly isn't drugs!
Jeez I forgot how gross the gas station bathroom was
"soo. You are. In school :)..."
SCRAGS FACE DURNING "wether you think we should abolish the police?" SJSIDJDJ
HOW DID I FORGET ABOUT THE GHOST SAYING OKAY BOOMER TO SCRAGS?
Aw I forgot about about this little moment with Keith and Cam
YEAH TAKE OUT YOUR RAGE!!
OUCHHH THE OLD MOVIES LIKE INSIDE OUT LINE IT HURTSS BC I KNOW MY YOUNGER NEPHEWS ARE GOING TO THINK THIS
Nice try Scrags.
"he can try :)"
"you need tiny hands to make tiny phones." djdj
Jddkdjd I kinda forgot about Gwen making fun of fanfiction
YEAH WOO NICHOLAS IS CRYING I love Corey smiling everytime Nicholas cries
"YES QUEEN EAT THE PATRIARCHY"
Bleach your asshole!
How rich is Gwen exactly? Bc. They've touched a lot.
Scrags my beloved
"I pooped" "congrats don't take that for granted as you get older"
Do 8 Yr olds still poop their pants? I feel like they shouldn't still be pooping their pants? But idk much about kids
The lengths Keith will go to win over Gwen's kids is really sweet
"and bring a bucket and mop for the wet ass plushies" idc how dated some of the jokes and references in the episode (and the others as well but especially this one I think) are and how in the future that's going to date the even more. I still think very much think it's funny and enjoy them
Paris thinking Keith and Scrags are engaged also the fact that Scrags nods in agreement with this
WIVES THEIR OUTFITS ARE SWITCHED
WIVES THEY KISS
I forgot just how much the episode said Esther x Gwen rights
On boy stocks!
"you knooww?" I doo :) " "yeahhh :)"
YEAH WOO GWEN SELF DISCOVERY
Pizza Rat! Genuinely shocked no one's talked about the Pizza Rat mascot bc. Wow
"fuck Scrags are we old?"
"no the arcade version is totally different!" "how so?" "it's bigger!"
"and with your brain and my.... brain?"
MAH WIFE 👌
Dreamy Creamy :)
Keith says ACAB!
Taylor you dummy
NICHOLAS PRAYING TO DWAYNE THE ROCK JOHNSON MDKDNDDJ
"those shitty kids look an awful lot like my shitty kids"
"but we're gonna rough him up at the station!" "uh we're not gonna go for that" "we'll barely touch him!" sbdjdb
"it'll be like we're dealing with a caplist insurrectionist!" christ. I very much forgot that was referenced.
Ew god this flirting
"Nicky? Nick? Bro am I getting off? Am I free to go??"
The episode ending with Keith singing a Blink 182 in a prison cell. Is great.

"SOLDIER JAILED 9 MONTHS FOR THEFTS OF BICYCLES," Toronto Star. September 13, 1943. Page 23. ---- Pte. John Good Sold Machines Worth $80 for $30 ---- HAD BAD RECORD --- "B" Police Court, City Hall, Magistrate Browne. Private John Good pleaded guilty to three charges of bicycle theft. The bicycles, Detective Walter Scott informed the court, were worth $80 and had been sold for $30. "Accused has a record," said Crown Council F. I. Malone. "He will be sentenced to nine months on each charge, concurrent sentences," said the court.
Pleading guilty to gambling on the Lord's Day, 13 men were each assessed $10 or 10 days. Plainclothesman James Henry testified he and other officers had found accused shooting dice Sunday in a Markham St. house.
Appearing for sentence on a charge of breaking into a branch of the Caulfield Dairy and stealing money, William Brossoit and Robert Dorland, who previously pleaded guilty, were each sentenced to four months definite and three months indefinite.
R. Baptie denied ill-treating a dog by beating it with his fists. He had only slapped it for running away, he stated. After hearing three witnesses testify the dog was making a loud outcry as if it had been run over by a car, a fine of $15 and costs was imposed.
"If you would see the dog greet me at night when I come home you wouldn't think it was ill-treated." said Baptie. "I admit I lost my temper after chasing it all over the district, but I only slapped it."
"Dumb animals soon forget," said the court.
BOY, 16, JAILED ---- "A" Police Court, City Hall, Magistrate Menzies. For stealing $13 from a Queen St. W. restaurant, Steve Hrychuck, 16, who pleaded guilty and who is at present on probation, was sentenced to three months definite and three months indefinite.
"He is very young," declared Austin Ross, defence counsel.
"Unfortunately a lot of stealing is being done by young men these days," replied the court.
Constable Jarratt said accused stole a box containing the money. "I found the box in his room. He had $6 left," said the officer.
Three months definite and three months indefinite was the sentence given John Thompson, 20. He admitted stealing a suit and a number of newspapers.
FINE FIVE GIPSIES ---- "C" Police Court. City Hall, Magistrate Pritchard. Pleading guilty, before Magistrate Pritchard, of failing to report for re-registration, Archie Bruno, Molly Mitchell, and Harold Bruno, were each fined $25 or 30 days. At the expiration of the term, if the fines are not paid, they will be handed. over to the military authorities. Louis Burt who pleaded guilty of failing to keep his registrar advised of an address where mail would reach him, was fined $25 or 30 days.
All four are members of the gipsy colony and were picked up in the recent round-up in the downtown district.
Theodore Butch, another gipsy. charged with failing to give his registrar his proper address, was fined $25 or 30 days.
FINE DRIVER $35 ---- D Police Court, City Hall. Magistrate Gullen. Pleading guilty of careless driving, Ernest Antilla was fined $35 and costs or 15 days.
"Accused's car." said P.C. Archie Gordon, "travelled 224 feet with one wheel locked after hitting a T.T.C. grinder, while he was south-bound on Yonge St."
IGNORES RED LIGHT ---- County Police Court, County Buildings, Magistrate Keith. "You drove through a red light and if anybody had happened to be walking there, he might have been killed," said Magistrate Keith. He fined Ross Comer $15 and costs for careless driving. On a charge of failing to notify the department of highways of change of ownership of the ear he was driving, he was fined $3 or three days.
"When they are sold out they can't do anything about it," said court in fining William Kirkpatrick $10 and costs or 10 days for causing a disturbance at a brewer's store on Saturday. "I had been waiting in line for about half an hour and then they said there was no more," said accused, pleading guilty.
Wallace J. Atkinson, 21, charged with failing to produce a registration card and with attempting to steal an automobile was remanded to Sept. 17. Bail was set at $1,000.
"I don't believe the evidence of accused," said the magistrate in finding James Bradley guilty of assaulting a woman. Accused was fined $10 and costs or 10 days and was ordered to stay away from her home.
The woman who said she was the mother of three children and that her husband was overseas, said Bradley had come into her rooms and had knocked her down with his fist.
She admitted having a hand on a beer bottle when Bradley approached.
"He said, so you want to sling beer bottles, and then he hit me." said complainant.
"Bradley took up a beer bottle and said he was going to beat her face so badly that no hospital would be able to fix it up again," testified Alfred Wells.
"I went into the room to talk to Wells," declared the accused, "and the woman took up a beer bottle and made for me. I took the bottle from her and pushed her back. "I did not either with my fist, I merely pushed her."

Top 5 memoirs to inspire your own creative projects:
1. Just Kids by Patti Smith This book is a poetic masterpiece. It is a glimpse into a chapter of supreme creativity and artistic collaboration. Robert Mapplethorpe and Patti Smith were fearless friends who helped each other develop their unique styles. You can imagine yourself sitting side by side with them in their room in the Chelsea Hotel while reading her vividly beautiful depictions. And it may even inspire you to make the most fearless work you've made yet! Thank you, Patti!
#pattismith #justkids #pattismithjustkids
2. How to Grow Up by Michelle Tea Michelle Tea has a distinct style and hilarious perspective on her life thus far and all the changes she has made to become who she. I enjoyed every page of this book and took it everywhere I went. On a day I was feeling especially alone visiting the conservative neighborhood my parents live in, the cover inspired a lovely queer couple to stop and talk to me saying they needed this book with a sarcastic yet knowing glance! And this is so what would happen when you are reading a Michelle Tea book. She inspires inclusivity, queer community building, celebration, and self love! And becasue of that, I got to share one of my favorite things about her; her part in the creation of Drag Queen Story Hour at libraries everywhere! The couple loved it! Michelle reminds us that the world needs all of our stories and to be brave and tell them today! Thanks Michelle!
#michelletea #howtogrowup #michelleteahowtogrowup
3. Drawing Blood by Molly Crabapple If you are craving travel without even leaving your home, this is the book for you. I was magically transported through Molly's colorful descriptions and details. And did I mention this book has pictures! Molly draws gorgeous illustrations and they are paired throughout the text in the most intreging ways. Go pick up this book at your local bookstore and share it with others. Molly's life is courageous and kind and it will have you making friends with your neighbors, going to protests together, and making your own advocacy art through her inspiration! You are one person but you can make a major difference in your own way and that is powerful. Thank you, Molly!
#mollycrabapple #drawingblood #mollycrabappledrawingblood
4. Wildflower by Drew Barrymore Wildflower is a collection of beautiful personal essays. I've been a life-long fan of Drew's work and this book is no exception. I bought the audiobook in addition to the hardcover at her book signing and am enamored by the writing she put together in this compilation! It has everything you want in a book; hilarity, sweetness, adventure, and heart. I even found out we have a soul connection in both being obsessed with Lake Winnipesauke! I spent nine life-changing summers on that lake at camp, some of which were the same years in the 90's she did. In another wonderfully watery story, Drew dives off the deck of a cruise ship into the open ocean and it's a must read! All of the essays speak to growth she has experienced in her life and I am so grateful she chose to share them so that we may be inspired to engage in similar ambitious pursuits. Thanks Drew!

5. Waking the Witch by Pam Grossman Pam's thoughtful memoir is wonderfully written and in addition to giving you a glimpse into the history of the archetype of the witch, it connected some dots for me. Pam's podcast, The Witch Wave, helped inspire a feminist roadtrip I took in 2019, the same year the book came out. I made my way to the home of Matilda Joslyn Gage, an abolitionist and stop on the Underground Railroad in Fayetteville, NY. Her nephew, L. Frank Baum wrote Wizard of Oz and she is thought to have been an inspiration for the character of Glinda the Good Witch! Waking the Witch is a magical read and I enjoyed the parts of Pam's story that were set in suburban New Jersey since this is also where i hail from. Hearing about her baby witch visits to the mall and later exploration of New York City transported me back to similarly formative times in my own life. Thank you, Pam!

DID I DO IT?
DID I DO IT?

I was only publicly humiliated once but once was more than enough. I was Jesus then and I was attending Monument High School in Great Barrington, MA where they would torture children who acted disobedient against authority. I specifically remember walking in the woods and seeing a wooden bench like device they would use to torture children with.
Children were regularly publicly whipped in front of the whole school – it was practically a rite of passage. When it happened to me however, it felt like I was the only person who it had ever experienced it. It was the near the top of the list of the worst experiences my soul has ever endured. The pain wounded my soul deeply, but looking back I see the huge reason for it.
Apparently I had written something on the chalkboard about how awful the education system was, and speaking freely then was a crime punishable by whipping. After that I dropped out like Holden Caulfield. I attribute that one decision to the massive success I experienced in my past life.
I started reading and self-educating myself and learned about things like business, real estate and investing. I got a head start in the race ahead of everyone else. I started building houses and selling them and eventually earned enough to hire a team to help build the houses for me. I was extremely hard working. The first house I built came from the cash I earned from delivering mail and being a bell ringer.
This experience of being whipped made me extremely angry and defiant. I started organizing plots to overthrow the British in the attic of the Blue House of Great Barrington. I certainly wasn’t the only one helping with the cause.
Sarah was my sister; she reincarnated as my brother Elliot now. She was very angry with her mother Queen Natalie for being in favor of public execution and was avidly against it and in favor of free speech. She was a huge hero, one of Jesus’s closest confidants, who always inspired him with her brave and original spirit. She left the castle and moved into the Blue House with Jesus, Columbia and their baby I’ll call Molly, who reincarnated as my mother Mary now. They loved reading stories together back when stories weren’t censored and they would pull you in by the soul.
Columbia, Molly and Sarah certainly weren’t the only ones helping Jesus with the cause. Jesus had an invisible friend we’ll call…. Katelynn.
There was only one battle in the Revolutionary War to secure America’s Freedom from the British. Jesus wrote the Declaration of Independence when he was very young, I want to say late teens – early twenties.
There was only battle in the Revolutionary War – or rather, there SHOULD have only been one. They should have learned their lesson when all of the soldiers dropped dead like flies the first time, but it actually happened twice.
This led to HUGE hysteria and a massive witch hunt to find the person who did it. Frank Lewis was a witch trial lawyer at the time. He reincarnated as the lawyer who defended OJ Simpson, Robert Kardashian.
The first one they targeted was Columbia. Jesus organized a huge rebellion, shot the executioner and a massive riot ensued. Again, the British people who tried to stop it just dropped dead like flies.
They were getting desperate to find the witch who was responsible for this. They blamed Jesus and Columbia and him were both about to be publicly executed but Jesus knew what was coming… wait for it. Again, they just dropped dead like flies.
Frank was completely panicking and the next people he targeted were Molly and Sarah. This will go down in history as possibly the worst mistake a human being has ever made.
Frank was found crucified in Salamanca, NY with a chalkboard next to him. This was actually the first time anyone had actually been crucified.
A huge crowd gathered around in horror and shock to witness what had happened. The chalk started writing by itself like in Matilda and wrote out something along the lines of, “THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TRY TO HURT JESUS’S FAMILY.” The cross and the skeleton still rests in Salamanca to this day.
That and the mysterious murders that happened in succession right afterwards deterred anyone with half a brain from trying to hurt Jesus.
Someone, a popular influencer or trendsetter perhaps, must have started the trend of wearing a cross as a symbol of loyalty to Jesus’s cause. A symbol of standing up for the underdog. A symbol of protecting the vulnerable.
A symbol of ending public execution for good.
