absolutely crucial to understand. Aisha fucking sucks. aisha is genuinely insufferable to deal with, as is her right as a 13yo whose life sucks. it is crucial that aisha is not shoehorned into some sort of dynamic where she’s Better And More Responsible than alec and micromanages him to Fix Him--that’s, like, five degrees tops off from the misogynist thing every fandom does where it makes female characters all momlike and responsible 4 caring for the rest of the characters. aisha fucking sucks. aisha spends her first appearance in the book as imp dragging her feet and whining to make every task she’s asked to do as grating as possible and she makes a gross bdsm joke at brian’s expense while she’s at it. she gets along with alec because they’re Both unpleasant. is there a completely understandable and sympathetic reason as to why she’s Like That? yes. but it is crucial that we all understand that aisha is a total shithead, and this is her charm and also her god-given right

tell me about YOUR favorite touhou character that is Not within the Yukari Zone of Influence
well that's pretty difficult! if aya counts then it's her (failgirl) but i think proposing shikigamihood to someone probably puts them in your zone of influence. mamizou probably counts too thanks to her methods of getting to Gensokyo and the plot of FS.
so let's go with Suwako. world's cutest ornery grandma. i think that the ancient gods in Touhou are really interesting conceptually, but most of their characters are pretty flat (besides Eirin). Suwako's a really interesting one, however, though she's less ancient than some examples. She's got this interesting "conservatism by default" thing going on (see "ornery grandma" earlier) where she refuses to change, but she's basically accepted the world around her changing without her input. Contrast with Kanako, who wholeheartedly embraces change- they make a good duo when one considers the Joumon/Yayoi transition. Suwako has been there, culturally, for so long that she's not even distinctly Japanese in terms of her viewpoints (or her name- doubtless Suwako wasn't the original, since Suwa uses Chinese loaned syllables in its pronunciation and Proto-Japonic was brought by Yayoi settlers in the first place). She might not have changed as a person since Japan wasn't Japan at all! Contrast with the Watatsukis, Kaguya, and Eirin, who have much more culturally Japanese (and Chinese) influence, despite being far older in terms of their self-conception. (Obviously they weren't actually around millions of years ago, except retroactively due to weird Touhou causality. Suwako's been worshiped this whole time, though.) My girl's been through a lot.
Anyway, this stick-in-the-mud-ness contrasts a lot with her general attitude towards other people, where she personally loves trying new things and meeting those who she hasn't met before. She won't hang around them necessarily- she is as fickle as a grain harvest- but she's always willing to at least give things a go. It is interesting that through the Mishaguji she's associated with harvests, though, as from what we know, pre-Yayoi Japan didn't really go for the whole farming thing. That makes the rest of her personality pretty easily understandable- her original nature was really just a curse god! So when she's basically a jackass to everyone, that's just because they're not keeping her appeased. She's probably used to that sort of thing. Japan has some pretty strong negative associations with the earth- being an extremely tectonically active continent, with lots of volcanoes and earthquakes, prior to farming, the earth was more likely to harm you than help you. (You see this culturally in a number of places beyond Touhou- see my other most prevalent obsession for a rather salient example!)
Of course, it's not like she's a tsunami god or anything- the earth can help you, even if you aren't a farmer. It holds you up and stones pave your home. We have tons of examples of Joumon era pottery- that's the earth, too. But the earth's nurturing nature is a lot more frail in such a state- you've got kind of an anxious peace with it, more than anything. Suwako is similarly unpredictable, and the less momlike of the Moriya shrine gods. But it's not like she's incapable of acting as Mother Earth sometimes- she likes to provide Sanae with advice and comfort in her own weird way. She's pretty multifaceted like that.
As for the frogs, I think they're cute. All gods should have at least one weird obsession completely unrelated to their divine jurisdiction, and I love amphibians.

SICK MEDICINE ! NINA KOSAKA ?!
summary : nina taking care of you when you make stupid decisions, that stupid decision being running around in the rain shouting ts all too well 10-min version whilst pretending you're in a music video. includes : nina kosaka (ethyria) type : sfw, fluff, request. event : WE GO 100 !
request : hello ! i'd like to request nina with “This medicine tastes awful, but it will help, I promise.” thank you, it's also alright if you don't do this request
a/n : thank you so much dearie for requesting!! i love writing for nina, she's so sweet.
Tumblr media
"i feel like shit, nina." you cough out, laying down on your bed with a damp towel on your forehead. nina looks at you and gives you a deadpanned look. "i told you, running around the street shouting the lyrics of all too well 10-minute version, pretending you're in a music video, is a bad idea honey," she scolds.
"although it was quite amusing seeing you in your feels like that, i don't really want to take care of children who don't listen to grown adults," she adds, grabbing the thermometer from your armpit. it beeps loudly, showing bright 39.1 C showing on its small display. nina clicks her tongue, showing it to you. you look back at her with an apologetic smile, she places the thermometer on your bedside table.
"i'm also an adult. what do you mean by children??" you mumble out, opting to stare at your fingers on your lap.
she looks at you and then turns around grabbing the water near your bed, "you're 5'2. you're technically still a child." then she turns to her right, where your pills were, looking at each bottle to see which one was the paracetamol.
finally finding where the paracetamol was, she popped one pill off and gave it to you as well as the water.
you look at her, disgust evident on your face.
nina has long known about your distaste or in strong words, hatred (also is considered as fear) for medicine. you went to extreme lengths to stay healthy as possible, even having regular medical check-ups even if it was a bit expensive for you.
she knows why you hate them and she knows how hard it is to get over your fears. "this medicine tastes awful, but it will help, i promise." she assures you, giving you an encouraging smile.
seeing nina be so... momlike was giving you courage, it was just one pill, nothing will hurt, right?
you chose to believe nina's words, gathering the courage to put the pill in your mouth and drinking water to water it down. you closed your eyes in distaste, swallowing the pill and water.
"you did it! great job honey, i'm so proud of you." nina cheers, and when you look at her you feel a sense of home that nina often gave you.
"thank you nina, for taking care of me. i'm sorry for not listening to you." nina walked toward you and gave you a big hug, "it's okay honey, i'll always be here to take care of you when you make stupid decisions." she mutters in your hair, letting out a giggle, you pout through the hug muttering out, "it's not stupid..."

Sallen getting texts that go together like BFF hearts.
Haha, I would wager that Hetty had his phone or this place bugged so when Callen mentioned her name, she knew to send the text. “Some say she’s a witch.” “Easy.” l;kadj;fdkf I mean, she DID send the texts as soon as G mentioned her name.
I also loved the, “I don’t anything about the $600.”
Hollywood costumer as a cover! What a throwback! I love it!
Again, with all the info they know about each other, the Callen/Hetty relationship was not something that was known by some of them? That is his Sort-of Momlike Person but also Person He’s Probably the Most Upset With Because Hey She Was Kind of Involved with His Torture as a Child But Listen Don’t Insult Her.

How does A/B/O fit in your Ingo and Emmet aus if you have an au with it? Like who’s what and how do they feel about each other? Do they like thrift shopping? You know domestic stuff maybe like making Sunday breakfast?
Hi, thanks for the ask!
I like A/B/O ! But I don't actually know too much about the A/B/O universe. I mostly have looked at such content for pornographic reasons. I have a preference for bottom Ingo, so I would suppose that would be Alpha Emmet Omega Ingo.
Though my favorite A/B/O fic doesn't have sex in it at all, it's a tomgreg fic (graft by anonymous on ao3). And what I admire about that fic is how OP preserves the personalities of tom and greg even with greg being the alpha and tom being the omega. It's perfect TBH.
And for a story in an A/B/O universe, that doesn't have other drastic changes, I feel like that might be something I enjoy? Usually when I explore a concept of an AU, I take my interpretation of the characters and try to imagine them reacting to the concept.
The brothers, to me, always love each other as equals. I Think that would be the same here in an A/B/O universe, even with an Alpha/Omega dynamic. And societal pressures would be interesting to explore as well.
Porn wise im just a fan of breeding, some rough sex, hormone crazyness, and sex pollen porn logic. I am also a noncon fan as well, so I tend to lean toward A/B/O stories within that vein.
While I love a good breeding story, and even have an AU where I have an Ingo that gets bred, I don't really imagine either of them all that interested in having children. They both might be interested in it as kink fantasy, but if it were to be a reality, they wouldn't be a fan.
I guess both of them would take those medicines I read about that suppress mating instinct? Though I kind of like the idea of not taking it for a spell for that crazy sex brain fantasy. Shrugs though.
---
Do you mean specifically an A/B/O AU doing thrift shopping or domestic ideas? Because I mean I have ideas for that that aren't A/B/O specific.
I do love thinking of them going shopping together. I think they might have select times for thrifting and then new item shopping. There's fun in both. It depends on their purchase goals.
I imagine they love to cook together. Thats a common throughline whenever someone asks me about headcanons. Here's more food headcanons
When they're old and retire, Emmet becomes a great baker, and Ingo becomes his decorator. @belltrigger actually wrote a fic with this idea, since we talked about this idea together (End of the Line by @belltrigger)
I love the idea that Ingo makes really cutesy momlike bentos, and Emmet makes sleek and cool bentos. They also feed each other little bites. (And even if they make bento for each other, its decorated with *their* aesthetic sense. But people think Emmet made the cutesy one and Ingo made the sleek one)
They love to eat. They love rich snacks, they love a variety of flavors, they love to comment on how good the meal is while they are eating it. They're like you *have* to try this, and share with each other. When they go on vacations they go on food tours too.
They steal each others snacks. This is mostly light hearted and done to inspire joke outrage. If its something their twin really wants they will leave it alone.

7, 28, 31 for my ask game 😊
7. How do you create/style your sims in CAS? I usually start of with the hair and work from there. Then the outfit and the accesories. I pick a colour and put it in every look. Rosie got a lot of Browns as a Barbarian. Kilian got reds, since he is a passionate bard. Aria got a lot of whites and golds and yellows, for purity since she is a cleric. Puck got green and brown, because they are nature colours. Ivy got blue, because of her tomboy attitude. Macy got pinks, because she tecnically wasn't gonna be the monk and I wanted to make her super girly. But then I got super attachted her and changed some of her colours to light purple, which suits monk more. Phoenix wasn't really colour coded, I just wanted to dress her very momlike. Faith got nature colours again, as a ranger. Robin got mostly black, with a bright colour here and there, with here being a rogue. Jasper got Orange, because of his name, and because of the whole fire theme. Saiya got black obviously, with some reds, since I went for that goth girl/Addams Family look. Akasha wears blue, because, wizards give me darkblue vibes 28. How do you choose your sims’ traits, aspiration, and/or career? When I do a challenge I just follow the rules. Other than that I just go for the career that suit the vibes the sim gives me. 31. Tag & give a shoutout to a simblr you really enjoy seeing posts from @valhallansim is a really good fantasy themed CC creator (Akasha is wearing her tattoos, for example) Horns, tusks and some great stuff for any dnd class. I really recommend her stuff. Also, really great friend. <3

My little one was born via emergency inducement on the 27th.
Prenatal care is important and I cannot stress this enough. I was getting NST twice a week and Saturday they caught my baby was not breathing like she was supposed to in the womb and once I gave birth they found that my gestational diabetes destroyed my placenta. If I would've listened to the free birth community my babygirl would've been dead within a week and so would I (I lost a lot of blood and still recovering)...the hospital was amazing and gave my daughter and me the care we needed.
