My favorite pieces of evidence for elriel honestly. 😌🤭

Acofas was full of soft domestic elriel scenes with no positive elucien ones. Not to mention the art in the back that show the couples. And they align perfectly when you close the book… I love winning. 🥰

- I will send you a sketch and rough colours. Once approved, I will then send an invoice. The final illustration will be completed and sent after payment is received

Underrated characters

I would read a Grishaverse spin-off trilogy starring Kuwei Yul-Bo for sure. There’d be his fire magic, which is always fun, and he cracked me up a ton in ‘Crooked Kingdom’, plus his backstory has so much fodder re: his life as a Grisha in Shu Han, his dad, being kept at the Ice Palace, seeing the boy he fancied get with the dude who’s been wearing his face, etc. etc. 

Henry Cheng from ‘The Raven Cycle’ by Maggie Stiefvater is also super underrated. We only really get to know him in Book 4 but wow he rocketed up to being my favourite Raven Boy in no time! (Sorry, Ronan. I still love you tho.) Henry deserves a spin-off too - I want to read more about his relationship with his mum as it seems a good deal more complicated than what we first get told (I can’t elaborate because spoilers!). Also - is Henry ace or am I dreaming?!

The Cruel Prince is Mind-boggling

Here is the thing - I have only recently begun reading the cult classics of the YA Fantasy genre. I am going through them quite quickly with literally nothing else to do at the minute and I have recently finished The Cruel Prince. 

My problem is that I did not particularly enjoy it. I struggled to read it, I did not like Jude as I thought that her coping mechanisms and her chip on her shoulder made her hard to relate to. And Cardan, while he had a horrible back story, was also hard to relate to due to the way that he automatically believed that he was superior, as a prince, and his obvious xenophobia. 

However, I now have a massive itch to finish the trilogy. I am almost certain that I am not going to enjoy it, but for some reason, I have this feeling that within the next few days I will be buying The Wicked King and The Queen of Nothing. 

This also seriously reminds me of the time that I bought a Nintendo Switch out of boredom knowing that I would not use it (because compared to the genre of games that I play on the PS4 the Switch did not cater to my tastes), played Legend of Zelda on it, and ended up selling it on eBay a week later. 

As mentioned in the title, for me this is a mind-boggling concept. Is it just the fact that where I am has been in lockdown and has been for the past 7 weeks so I have a twitchy finger to keep myself entertained? Or, is it that the appeal of The Cruel Prince is a lot more persuasive than I initially believed? 

What are your thoughts on The Cruel Prince?
