while the new 2022 series is not accessible online outside of usa yet i tried to make a complete playlist of what is available on youtube for free

i tried to follow a story and chronological order so you should watch the movies when you see the trailers come up (i found them all uploaded on different streaming sites and it seems they are available in some countries on youtube too but not mine lol)

officially there are only 4 episodes of the new series at the moment - from second to fifth - i included them but know that the frist episode is missing except for a clip of clawdeen finding the school

the new music videos are also translated in some languages but if you want to listen to the original english (or any other language) you can change the dub in the video settings

hope this could be helpful for those like me who decided to start this series 13 years later! enjoy

G2s movie animation is better in my opinion

I do agree that with the g1 animation style they were quote “able to pull of more unique expressions”, but you can’t deny it looks cheap as hell. And kinda ugly. I love g1 monster high but as an animator myself, it just looks cheap. While with g2, though the characters lost their “gothic features” the animation is much better, and the characters look much more vibrant compared to the dullness of some of the colors in the g1 movies. (When I say dull i don’t mean blacks, greys, and off grey whites) Plus the shine on the faces in the g1 movies is just odd. Like light source huh? Also again with the color, when they do do it right, they can be overbearing and make it difficult to look at a character. Though it’s like this with some with g2, it’s not as present because the colors blend better together. (And not counting G2s webisodes) the walking animation in G2s movies look a lot more natural and not like the ghouls are breaking their knees and ankles. Sorry for the rant, just wanted to make a point! <3

Soso!! me and my best friend @brovotics-art recently finished watching every Monster High movie from generation one to three. In total, we watched 16 movies across three nights. And, me being the amazing best friend i am, made them give each movie a rank out of 10 and tell me their thoughts. We also came up with "morals" for each movie that we thought were neat. I'll go in chronological order, so here are our rankings!

Movie 1: New Ghoul At School

Honestly it was fun to turn my brain off and I enjoyed it for the most part when I first watched it- apart from the duce×clawdeen set up that I hated from the first interaction of them

I think Duce has been set up with most of the squad at this point- Lagoona is the only one I can think of that hasn't had the hots for him at some point

When I actually start thinking about the movie though I wasn't a big fan, there was no character development and the story has some huge plot holes. I'm honestly not sure if I'm going to watch the sequel because the casting sucks. I think that Clawdeens skin tone has remained fairly consistent across her animated character but the live actions really stand out when put side by side. The G3 doll should be darker to match with Clawd though. I am white so I don't know much about what features got changed that would connect her back to her scareatage better but would love to learn!

i love how cleo in ‘why do ghouls fall in love?’ has a supporting role that allows her to be funny. like when she breaks the glass instead of using the key, or when they confront Draculaura the first time and Cleo says “It’s on Spectra’s vlog” and Spectra takes a pic of them and Cleo goes like “you see what I mean?”  all of those instances don’t feel forced yk, it’s just her being spontaneous and it’s something that adds pros to the movie (also the movie is amazing, i always watch it on february and omg valentine is such an interesting antagonist i could talk about this for hours but i have to do my homework)
